The food was EXCELLENT. Full flavor, quality ingredients and the service was excellent. Though our party of 5 were all full, when asked about desert we couldn't resist because it all was so impressive. We will all be going back soon, and taking more people with us. The waiter was respectful, calm and attentive without hovering. The ambiance was nice, though when it's slower I'd suggest turning some music up a tiny to compensate for quietness. The chai was excellent and I'm hard to impress with that. The Chinese infusion fried rice was excellent. They accommodated our mushroom, shell fish AND tree nut allergies some people at our table had. The portions were very generous. The cheesecake? PHENOMENAL. The naan, delicious. Honestly, the only down side is I didn't get to try tacos for some reason tonight it wasn't an option. Looking forward to coming back many more times!

It was much cheaper than I was expecting. Staff was very kind and accommodating. They had me on my way quickly. Ambiance in the restaurant gives little hole in the wall spot, which I never mind. Those locations always seem to have the best meals. It was delicious! :)

I'm really glad I did. I got the paneer tikka masala and garlic naan, and DANG, was that flavor good. They do spice levels from one to ten- how cool is that?! I ordered online and it was ready within 15 minutes. As I waited, the place smelled amazing, was very clean, and had super service. The guy running it was so kind. He forgot my naan, and as I was walking home he called me, told me he forgot, then ran up the street to give it to me! That's above and beyond. The flavor is excellent. Spice is excellent. Serving sizes are generous. I can't believe it took me this long to check this place out. Stellar service, flavors, and menu. Can't wait to come back!

Miso soup was delicious and hearty - just what you need on a cold day outside. Both, noodles and fried rice were great. Btw their spice levels are catered to North American taste buds, so if you're an Asian just tell them highest spice levels and you'll probably still feel like moderate. Having said that, great flavours. The staff was nice and friendly. I used the restroom and they were clean and well maintained. Definitely recommended.

It is a tragedy that I was only planning to visit Portland for less than a day, so I didn't have the opportunity to dine in at the Green Elephant. However I would contemplate driving up from Boston just to have their Singapore noodles again. It was so flavorful, and the noodles were cooked to the perfect texture. The level 2 spice in the online ordering menu was not spicy at all, but the food still had a good amount of sauce and flavor. The dish was definitely heavy on the noodles and probably only had 4-5 bite-sized pieces of tofu for protein, but the noodles certainly were my favorite part. And for only about $15-20 per main dish, this is one of the more accessible/affordable restaurants for vegan options in Portland!

We were greeted by a polite gentleman and was told we can sit anywhere we want. He proceeded to give us menus. He gave us ample time to make our selection. We chose pani puri for appetizer then my husband opted for their masala dosa while I ordered the chicken korma. I love that they have two options for meal sizes, the 8 oz and 16 oz. I only had the 8 oz and I still had some leftovers. The pani puri was tasty though a bit different from the ones we've previously had. I had a bite of the masala dosa too and that was also delicious. The portions were not humongous which was appreciated. Prices were reasonable. In fact, the prices are favorable. There are plenty of dining space, the place is clean and staff is friendly. Food is good value for sure so I am positive we'll end up being regulars. If you love Indian food, I suggest you give Haveli a try!
