Bombay Mahal had been on my list for a while so I was happy to make it during a recent visit to Brunswick. When we arrived on a very frigid afternoon, we were the only ones in the restaurant but during our stay, it slowly filled up. There is convenient street parking all along Maine Street. I love the Indian decor even the ceiling tiles are decorated. They have a wall displaying all of their awards, and there's a lot of them. We shared the garlic naan, Pakistani Peshawar naan (sweet) and the mixed grill which included seekh kebab, chicken tikka, chicken tandoori and shrimp tandoori. I am a lover of all sauces and the naan did a good job getting most of it. Wine prices are very reasonable, I didn't see a glass over $12. They also have a nice selection of beers and nonalcoholic options. I love that they collab with another local rockstar, Gelato Fiasco, for some Indian flavors. Service was pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient.

Bombay Mahal was the perfect stop on the way to Gardens Aglow to keep us warm on the inside! They have the most amazing saag paneer that I've ever had - the spinach was fresh and leafy and just tasted phenomenal. I also never knew I needed a blueberry lassi, but now I want one everywhere I go! The rosewater on top was *chef's kiss* perfection. The service was so warm and welcoming too. This is going to be a new stop whenever I'm up north for sure!

First visit while in town. I think this was honestly the best Indian food I have ever had! My sister and I had been wanting to go but the last time we tried it was a Wednesday and they were closed. I live in Florida these days so I don't get back home often. We shared the Gobi Pacora and I got the butter chicken. My sister got the Chicken Saag and we got some Nana. Really amazing flavors. The service was great and we had some leftovers for lunch the next day. Highly recommend and will be back.

Very nice food and charming waiter. Portions were small and costs were high but worth it if you want authentic Indian food

Always a great experience. Nice folks. The oldest Indian restaurant in Maine. Love the currys. The outdoor seating is a bonus.

Each time we have had wonderful service, awesome food and enjoyed the calming atmosphere. It's great when I get to eat in a vegetarian or Vegan restaurant and they're able to ask the check what they recommend for very low sodium! This never happens at any of the chain restaurants! I got the credit card receipt so I'm thinking last month I ordered the citrus ribs, which I know I would love and what I did get was awesome, my DH dish was also awesome! It's so hard to choose what to get when you finally have options outside of pasta, Mushroom this or that-that we don't eat! Lily our server was great! Looking forward to coming back when we head hours East again! Thank you for an amazing meal and night!

First thing to note is that the menu seems to have changed substantially, offering more Thai-adjacent and pan-Asian food than authentically Thai food. I ordered their coconut soup (Tom Kha; $10) to start and a local mushroom bowl as my main--both vegan by default. It took a while for the food to come out--maybe 20 mins for the soup and another 15 for the main. The soup was nicely seasoned, maybe being a bit too thick, and not allowing the galangal/lime leaf to breathe as much as it should. But I liked how it came with red pepper, tomato, mushroom and tofu. The main was not really Thai at all, coming with a rather stingy portion of tempeh, two kinds of mushrooms, red pepper, Lima beans, and microgreens. Reasonably seasoned but just not that interesting. Overall, disappointing relative to my previous experience, but still pretty good.

It was much cheaper than I was expecting. Staff was very kind and accommodating. They had me on my way quickly. Ambiance in the restaurant gives little hole in the wall spot, which I never mind. Those locations always seem to have the best meals. It was delicious! :)

I'm really glad I did. I got the paneer tikka masala and garlic naan, and DANG, was that flavor good. They do spice levels from one to ten- how cool is that?! I ordered online and it was ready within 15 minutes. As I waited, the place smelled amazing, was very clean, and had super service. The guy running it was so kind. He forgot my naan, and as I was walking home he called me, told me he forgot, then ran up the street to give it to me! That's above and beyond. The flavor is excellent. Spice is excellent. Serving sizes are generous. I can't believe it took me this long to check this place out. Stellar service, flavors, and menu. Can't wait to come back!
