Filipino fusion at its best! Sunday morning and arrived right when they opened and before there was a wait. The Ube Ensaymada in their window display caught my eye as I walked by, it became my starter. So delicious I ordered two more to go. So many selections and I selected the Pork Adobo Chilaquiles. So tasty with an abundance of pork adobo. I also tried the Adobo Burrito and it was like the comfort food of garlic rice, pork adobo fused with Mexican cotija cheese, salsa verde, cilantro, avocado, sour cream, pickled onions, radish with eggs wrapped in a tortilla - bueno masarap My cousin ordered the Jax Loco Moco which is next on my list to try! Came out to SJC to check out this brunch location. The place is very pink with the decoration. The open doors and window does make the interior breezy. Ordered the honey basil ribeye steak bowl. The ribeye was cooked to medium rare served with a light salad. A good balance of savory and sweetness. Finished up the brunch with ube french toast. We arrived early for brunch and so it wasn't too busy and our server was able to serve the food quickly. It was a cool find for a brunch. read more

Decided to visit Breezy on a busy holiday, Mother's day. The ube french toast was amazing a must try. I have never experience french toast to be crispy & toasty in every bite after being smothered with so much toppings. This amount of french toast serve can definitely be shareable & it was worth the 30 minute wait for my food after being seated. The over easy eggs could have been left on the grill a bit longer as the whites were still raw inside. I am use to having my over easy eggs order with just my yolk watery. I did like that their "Easy Breezy" order comes with one stack of pancake, it makes it more ideal verses other chains that serve 3 stacks. My guava matcha was good, a new flavor combo I had never experience. I do love all the tropical flavor options they have for drinks. Anyhow, a busy holiday calls for long wait lines, which is understandable, however not to sure what their workflow was on the cooking department. It seems as though they were prioritizing their pick up orders over their dine in customers. While waiting for my food order it seemed to me that everyone except for one table was waiting for their food order, while pick up orders were popping out like hot cakes. The place is lovely and trendy, but for how busy it looked, they really should have added more tables instead of their mini lounge living room set up. Our waiter at the bar area was great & so friendly updating us on our order and being attentive with us. Everyone was working great as a team except for one lady that was just giving orders to staff to clean & do stuff when she could have done it herself, not much of a proactive team player & I did not appreciate the disgraceful look she gave me when I ask if bar seating had a wait line. Customers pay attention to staff members when we walk away after asking a simple question, there was no need for the facial expression. After having a lot of underwhelming food on our girls trip to this area, we were thrilled to stumble upon this restaurant. As a Filipino myself, I was especially happy! The owner, Jasmine, and her three children all provided very friendly and welcoming service. We even came back the next day for a second meal here, because we knew it would be delicious. The Ube French Toast and Ube Pancake are both so yummy and great items to share as a table. While I don't eat pork, my friends all raved about the Longanisa Breakfast and longanisa was indeed a staple in my house growing up. I got the Honey Basil Ribeye Bowl, which had garlic rice, a fried egg, ribeye, and a small side salad. The salad and pickled onions threw me off flavor-wise, but the ribeye sauce was delicious. The ribeye was a bit overcooked, but I'm sure they would have happily made me another bowl if I had said something. The service was just so exceptional that I didn't bother complaining. The inside of the restaurant is so cute and has a comfy lounge area with a decorative mural. The outside patio seating is a bit uncomfortable if you're wearing shorts or a dress as the chairs are hard and the pattern will dig into your skin, but it's still fine for dining outdoors when the weather's nice. They don't take reservations, but you can join their waitlist at the entrance upon arrival. Grab a yummy Ube Coffee while you wait! I went to Breezy on Monday and ordered a single pancake. The restaurant was busy, so I ended up waiting around 30 minutes for it. Honestly, I didn't even complain because I understand places get overwhelmed sometimes and I was trying to be patient about it. What surprised me was that a manager (or maybe another employee working the front) came over, asked to see my receipt, and voluntarily refunded me because of the long wait. I thought that was actually really nice customer service at the time. It made me feel like they cared and were trying to make things right without me even asking. But then today, Wednesday, I checked my Discover account and noticed the refund had disappeared/reversed. At this point, it's not even about the $5. I genuinely do not care about paying for the pancake. What bothers me is the principle of it. Don't offer a refund and make a customer feel appreciated if it's just going to get taken back later without any explanation. If the refund was temporary, accidental, or never actually processed correctly, then just communicate that. The frustrating part is being told one thing in person and then seeing something completely different happen afterward. It makes the gesture feel fake instead of genuine. Again, this is not me trying to complain over five dollars. I actually appreciated the kindness in the moment and probably would've left with a positive impression despite the long wait. But reversing the refund afterward completely changed how the experience felt. Customer service is about consistency and trust. If you promise something to a customer, even something small, you should follow through with it. read more

Located in San Juan Capistrano, Breezy serves up delicious breakfast cuisine with amazing drink pairings (especially for the matcha lovers out there). A common go to is the adobo breakfast burrito. And lastly you can't go wrong with their strawberry matcha latte. The strawberry foam on top is the perfect sweetness to complement the matcha. The drip coffee wrecked my stomach as it was way too sour (acidic, probably a medium roast). I informed the server (Peyton) & she offered a new cup/brew but by then it was too late coz my meal was already finished. I like to sip it while having my meal. I barely sipped it as it was too sour. I read so many great reviews I had high expectations. We arrived at 10AM for brunch in Saturday, and there was a slight wait. It wasn't too long before we were seated and the service was good. We ordered hot breezy latte and I love U Bae Matcha. Drinks were delicious (well worth stopping in just for the drinks). The classic French toast was amazing. Surprisingly, it wasn't too sweet even with the syrup. The Jax Loco Moco however was slightly disappointing. The patty and egg were a little 'tough' and the rice a little hard, as if the dish had been sitting out for a bit. Overall the experience was good. For our meal, we tried the ribeye bowl and the chicken bowl. Both had to be modified for food allergies so I don't think I got the proper taste of it but the ribeye bowl was great. This place is so pretty and vibrant and so close to the San Juan Capistrano mission. We went here on a Saturday morning around 11am and only had to wait 25mins. The servers are nice. We got sat at the corner of the restaurant which I didn't mind, we had plenty of sunlight coming through the window which I like. We got the Longanisa Breakfast Bowl, Ube Pancake Stack, "I Love U Bae" Latte, and the Calamansi Refresher. The drinks were delicious, i really loved the ube cream on the latte. As for the food, we loved it all, however, I feel like there couldve been more Ube Cream for the amount of pancakes we had in the stack. I feel the ube cream to pancake ratio was not good. I had their Breezy breakfast: eggs, smoked ham, and extra crispy hash potatoes. The best part is you can upgrade for a specialty pancake for less than $3. You can't miss on this breakfast. The smoked ham is tender and juicy. The hash potatoes had that extra crispy (you have to request for it) without being burned. The highlight is the Ube pancake. It was light and airy. You don't just get the pancake it came with Ube whip cream, strawberries, blueberries, and coconut. Perfectly balanced sweetness. My husband opted for their Longanissa bowl. He loved it. The longanissa was very good. The dipping sauce complements the dish. The green salad on the side is a nice addition. The "I got you bae" latte was delicious. I love having breakfast at Breezy. I have always had one of their bowls, as I typically like some protein for breakfast. But, I would always look longingly at their Ube Pancakes. Today, I decided to go for it - Ube all the way! I went with my grandson, on the way to his baseball practice. We got there when it opened, so I was confident that we would get served quickly and we would make it to the practice in time. Well, at least that was supposed to happen. It started out fine... our server came by right away. I told her we were ready to order and that we were in a hurry. She took our order and I was feeling relaxed, but excited to finally try the pancakes. Half an hour later, when we still had not received our food, I was getting anxious. Finally it arrived, and my frustration melted away. The pancakes were so beautiful and so light and fluffy. Possibly the best pancakes I had ever eaten. The Ube whipped cream made the pancakes even moister, but it was not too sweet, as I had feared. The pancakes were perfect!! So, why just four stars? I asked for a refill on my coffee and it took over ten minutes to get it. And, I literally had to stand up and wave my hands wildly to get the attention of our server so I could get the check. I left with such mixed emotions. The service was terrible, but the pancakes were amazing. Will I return? You better believe I will! I will be back as soon as I finish the leftovers from today! There's limited parking available on the street on the weekend. If you want easier parking you can go to the public structure to the left of Breezy. It's $2 for 1 hour but we got $4 for 2 hours. I wish you were able to join the wait-list via Yelp but you have to check in first at the restaurant and come back when you get the text notification. This is more of an issue with Yelp's interface but the app never told us to come back. I saw that I was taken off the list via a text message. Luckily when we brought this to the attention to the host we were able to be seated quickly after. There's a lot of matcha/iced coffee options. I got the Strawberry Breeze Matcha. It's not as sweet as I would like but still a good drink. I got it to-go. It'll keep you up at night so beware if you're drinking in the afternoon. The Eggs Benedict eggs weren't as runny as I would like when split open. The dish was still good. The potato squares were seasoned well and had good texture. The Adobo Breakfast Burrito's cheese was only sprinkled on top but it could be even tastier if it was throughout the whole burrito. The protein wasn't tough which was nice. Both dishes were super filling so you get your money's worth. The water cups were slightly dirty on the outside. My boyfriend and I have been waiting for such a long time for Breezy to reopen as it is one of our favorite spots, so we had to go on their grand opening weekend. We got sat right away, as I think we just missed the brunch rush on Sunday. The location looks great!!! So much seating and it's just super cute. We sat outside which we enjoyed. We ordered the honey basil ribeye bowl and burrito which my boyfriend loved from last time. His only complaint is that the meat was a bit dry but he did ask for the sauce on the side and when he added it, he loved it!!!! I decided to try the loco moco this time and really loved the flavor. I ordered their banana latte and I was a fan but the ube latte really surprised me and I would order that next time. My aunt and I tried Breezy for the first time this weekend and I'm not exaggerating when I say that it was the best breakfast I've ever had (and she agreed!). I got the adobo pork bowl and she got the ube French toast, both of which were phenomenal. I almost always need to salt my food (even at high end Michelin star places) but this food was PERFECTLY seasoned and bursting with flavor. The ube French toast was the perfect amount of sweet, and we are neither usually into sweets for breakfast. I also got the BBL (banana breeze latte) and was obsessed the banana cold foam. I had Breezy in my bookmarks for a couple of weeks leading up to a day trip for a family member's birthday, which was this past weekend. We took the train up from Oceanside to spend the day in town and our first stop was lunch. Being a Sunday afternoon around 12:30 (they close at 2pm), Breezy was busy and we were quoted a 30-40 minute wait for a party of four. Our wait ended up being over 45 minutes which put us at our table after 1pm. Since we'd had so much time to peruse the menu, we put in our drinks and food straight away. My mom and I wanted to try their special matcha drinks but they were out of the banana and macadamia flavors, so I settled on strawberry and she had guava. Both were lightly sweet and deliciously creamy, though a little steep at $8 a piece. A couple of menu options were sold out for the day, so our final selections were the smashburger, a double smashburger, the kids chicken strips and fries, a side of garlic rice and the classic eggs Benedict, which was mine. After all of the grown up's food had arrived, our 6-year-old's meal took nearly 10 additional minutes to get to us (which is a crazy concept for anyone who has ever had or even just dined with a child - you always order/make/deliver the kid's meal first!) but the runner apologized and was kind enough to offer to take it off our check before we even had to say anything. I am pretty particular about the eggs in my eggs Benedict and always request for no runny whites, which our server noted on the ticket but unfortunately was not delivered. Aside from that, the flavor was spot on and the ham slices were thick and succulent. The smashburgers were spoken highly of around the table (except the onions, which were dry and stringy on one of the burgers) and our kiddo polished off the chicken strips and fries without a single complaint. Overall between the decor and vibes (5/5), the food (4/5) and the service (3.5/5), this place is a solid 4 stars for me and would come back again. read more

This adorable Filipino eatery was moved up to #1 on my must-visit list after they landed a spot on Yelp Orange County's Top 100 Places to Eat. The people know what's good! Breezy did not disappoint. I ordered the guava breeze matcha and the island chicken bowl. This rice bowl was packed with marinated chicken, an overeasy egg, cherry tomatoes, pickled onions, greens, and garlic rice. All my favorite things! The drinks are not to be overlooked! Honestly, I'd consider them a mandatory part of the Breezy experience. The guava matcha was topped with the tastiest coconut cold foam that won't be easy to forget. This was SO close to a 5-star experience, but I decided to dock a star due to the chicken being so overcooked that it was hard to chew. We visited on a Tuesday morning and parked in the lot behind the restaurant. There was a short wait since they were busy. I ordered the Ube French toast and it was really delicious! The French toast was crispy along the edges, the caramelised bananas reminded me of Turon and I love Turon so it was my highlight of the dish, and the ube cream was deliciously sweet and the coconut flakes and fresh fruit were perfectly sweet as well.
