Ordered takeout with friends and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. We spent around $75 total and none of us ended up satisfied with the meal. I tried the bacon breakfast burrito, which had way too many beans and felt badly balanced. I took one bite and ended up throwing it away. The huevos rancheros also wasn't good and felt underwhelming overall. No one in the house finished their food, which says a lot. We were still hungry afterward and ended up getting McDonald's instead. Maybe the food is better dining in fresh, but based on this takeout experience it was a miss for all of us. read more

Yesterday, we had friends with us and we all decided we wanted a vegan option. We went to another restaurant, but they didn't have the ingredients to make what we wanted so we decided to come to Palm greens Café and boy are we glad we did! We hadn't been there in quite some time, but we found a couple of items on the menu that peaked our interest and we tried them. The breakfast sandwich which we made vegan. We all had this item and we shared a half order of the vegan Caesar salad with chicken-less chicken. Both were amazing! We couldn't have been happier. The service was exceptional, our waiter was attentive, cordial, professional, and very, very nice! We look forward to coming back very soon. This cafe feels a bit old-school (in a good way) and has a good mix of options for people with all diets, which is great. I went for the vegan tempeh reuben, which was really good. I make my own tempeh reuben at home but somehow their tempeh tasted a lot better. I'll need to work on that! It got a little messy but that's the price you pay for a giant slab of tempeh, I guess. The staff was very friendly and service was quick during Friday lunchtime. The only thing I thought was weird is that the water station is self-service, despite there being waiter service. Being that my husband is a vegan, we rather enjoyed dining at this funky little eatery. It offers healthy, unprocessed options for both of us, and I enjoyed a truly delicious grass-fed burger with a scrumptious broccoli coleslaw. The decor is a somewhat drab interpretation of a vintage Palm Springs mid-century cafe, and the air conditioning is on the swampy side. But the food more than makes up for the decor and dank air! We got the impression that there were more locals than tourists at this spot. I returned another time to order take away and waited and waited and waited some more at the counter to order, with no one in front of me. There was only one waiter serving many tables, so I appreciate that they were probably short staffed that day. I ended up leaving since no one came to take my order. Wow!! What a wonderful place, bold coffee, great drinks and food to celebrate!! Service was spot on, the vegan and vegetarian options are so plenty that I had to ask for advice as this is not a typical option for me and the burrito was amazing with the vegetarian bacon and beans, so delicious . Palm Greens cafe continues to be one of our favorite places whenever we visit Palm Springs. The vegan selections are great, the portions are generous, and the balance of flavors on whatever we order always leaves us satisfied. This time, hubby had a vegan Loco Moko, and I had a bowl which was so substantial, we had leftovers. Plus, I ordered vegan biscuits and mushroom gravy. Lots of food for one meal, but again, we had leftovers which we enjoyed just as much the second time. This little Cafe is located in a mini mall, and looks basic on the outside but is cute on the inside. They have a varied menu, and have many vegetarian and vegan items. I ordered the vegan "loco moco" and the dish was delicious! The homeade "meat" patty was phenomenal, made with a mix of mushrooms, vegetables and grains. The homeade mushroom gravy was soooo good, thick and savory with meaty mushrooms over rice. It was salty and delicious, and one of the best meals I had in Palm Springs! The hubs ordered a turkey club style sandwich and raved about it, especially the fresh bread it was served on. The set-up of the place is - you order at the counter, seat yourself and a staff member will bring out your meal. The decor is clean and modern and everyone we encountered was friendly. Server was being really pushy about us ordering food. We had just sat down when he came over to ask if we wanted to order drinks or food. When we said we needed a minute I think he took it literally because he was back within another minute to get our order. When we explained we were still not ready he seemed annoyed. we haven't finished reading the menu can you give us 5 minutes before we're ready? We saw online that there was a baked yam dish but when you have the physical menu. it's misspelled which is why it took us a second to order because we were looking for it on the menu only to find out it's spelled as baked jam and yogurt. I also ordered the vegan shepherds pie. It was not a Shepard pie and more of a bland stew. The baked yam come out cold and also pretty flavorless. Food is pretty mediocre at best. This is a good vegetarian restaurant. It's not 100% vegetarian. I believe there is some meat involved. I had the mushroom burger. It wasn't what I was expecting. I was thinking it was gonna be a whole mushroom but it wasn't. It was processed. Mushroom probably processed from them cut up and made into a patty, but upon eating it it's kind of soft it's not not chewy just soft not my favorite however I would definitely come back and try the salads or something with tofu. read more

This is THE place to go for anyone that may have food restrictions as you can likely find something delicious on the menu to enjoy. It does get busy around lunch time so be prepared for a little bit of a wait. We ordered the Avocado Roll in a Bowl, Vietnamese noodle bowl w/grilled chicken and the Turmeric Alive Wellness Shot. I edited this review, as I received a note from the restaurant that led me to think the cost of extra bread was the highlight. That's far from my intention. In fact, this place is so worth throwing a few extra buck their way. The food and the service are great and I think you should eat here It took me a moment to find the place. The windows have banners that made me think it was a shop that was closed. But, paying a bit more attention, I had my place. Inside those banners go away and it's a bright and clean feeling place. Oscar was our server and was nothing short of kind. The service was quick and didn't interrupt our table chat. The food tasted great. Portion size was good. My sandwich was excellent. The sample salad is great, I have to say. Better than most salads I've had. Yet, you only get 4 quarters of bread, which it's not enough for this large salad. Oscar was happy to get us another order of 4 quarters, for $4.00. I have to say, Oscar is a great server and the food was great. I give it a solid five stars. I think you will like the vibe here and that's worth a few bucks extra for sure. Definitely try the place and enjoy. read more

Low-key presence in the Revivals strip mall, but what wonders await within! Such an interesting, unique menu, with so many twists on classic dishes. My husband had the mushroom patty melt, which he loved, and I had the Teriyaki bowl with brown rice and grilled chicken. So flavorful! While they do have wine and a few cocktails on the menu, the pressed veggie and fruit juice concoctions are impossible to pass up. On top of this, the service was excellent, and they use stainless steel cups at the water station. And the prices are reasonable! I'm so happy that our friends introduced us to this gem! read more

For $20 this is a solid meal that is quite filling. The tempeh bacon is cooked well and has a strong smoky flavor, possibly to mimic actual bacon. The tofu scramble could have been less broken as the pieces were so small it was hard to pick up with a fork. It also had a very prominent turmeric flavor. The highlight was the four thick slabs of French toast. I was surprised that the default was vegan and gluten free as these tasted normal. I liked the strong cinnamon flavor and appreciated how it was not overpoweringly sweet. WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! The menu is quite extensive so I would want to try some of their other dishes. read more
