Food was great -- we got the weekly special which included barramundi and potato leek soup (their soup of the day)! The barramundi is super tender and flavorful. Highly recommend. The potato leek soup had a bolder flavor and was a bit on the saltier side for my mom but paired with the bread it was yummy. The salad we got was really amazing and balanced, their carrots were very tender and we actually added the crab cakes sauce to balance it. The crab cakes are another dish I would recommend -- there is only two but they are very flavorful with the nice textures of the different vegetables throughout. We also got a sorbet for my mom's birthday! Super happy to be able to celebrate her!! :)) The sorbet was smooth and tasted great. Their dessert of the day / chocolate cake was a bit heavy though so I might skip that next time. Service was very attentive with our water and food came out pretty quickly. The lighting was nice and adjustable and it was nicely lit throughout the restaurant.

Walked over to the desert moon with my husband so I'm not too certain about the parking situation. My husband ordered the top sirloin daily special and I ordered the filet mignon. The carrot puree was quite delicious on the top sirloin. The service was great and the ambiance was great for a nice dinner.

Definitely enjoyed everything about this hidden gem in Palm Springs. From the moment we walked in to moment we left, the staff was very welcoming , friendly and attentive. The ambiance is nice and inviting perfect for a date night or for a group of friends gathering for dinner. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. Honestly the outdoor area has a warm relaxing atmosphere especially as the sun goes down and their string of lights are on. They also have a full bar with some beautiful crafted drinks that didn't disappoint. The food.... Not only do they do a beautiful food presentation, the food was delicious. The menu offers a great variety of options as well as specials which included dessert, I couldn't pass up. We enjoyed the crab cakes as our appetizer, they were so flavorful and just melted in our mouth. My friends and I all ordered something different and none of us had anything to complain about. The food was flavorful and well seasoned. Portions were generous enough to fill us up and still have plenty to share. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend to give this place a try especially for a date night!!

My girl friends and I had the best time here. Service was great, everyone was attentive and came around to make sure we had enough water. Everything on their menu sounds amazing so I don't think you can make the wrong choice. Cocktails were potent but balanced. Ambience was intimate and polished. I absolutely loved the food. It was well seasoned, delicious and they even have a prefixed menu that you can choose from at a great value that includes dessert. The portion sizes for the food was perfect as I was able to eat everything and didn't feel sluggish. I do suggest calling ahead to make a reservation as this location quickly filled up on a Friday around 4pm. I will definitely be back!

We found this place on Yelp and made a reservation that day of. Very cute little place dodger American/french/Italian and some Asian fusion style food. We got steaks for dinner and came with either salad or soup. We ordered both and love them both. Steaks were also cooked perfectly per my preference. Service was also good and attentive. They all have a good menu of dessert. Parking is free as well. And close to downtown if you stay in downtown; it's an easy 10-15 mins walk.

Came here for our first night in Palm Springs and had a great experience. I really liked the ambience of the restaurant. We were seated by the fountain which made it feel peaceful and relaxing. Our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the filet mignon and it was really good. Super flavorful and tender, pretty much melted in your mouth with the butter and seasoning. I'd definitely come back for the steak and try some of the other options next time.

Ahi Tuna Wonton and Crab Cakes. Delicious!

We've been vacationing in Palm Springs 2-3 times a year for the past 25 years. During our many, many stays, we tried and sampled countless restaurants from fancy and pricy, to mom-and-pop shops, and to everything in between. Some are still thriving. Others have left quietly. The rest are hanging on. Recently, we discovered Desert Moon on a recommendation. It's a fairly new restaurant that serves a fresh take on Latin Asian fusion with some French and Italian influences. I have been to many similar style restaurants around the country and a few in Coachella Valley, but none could match Desert Moon's combination of quality, flavor, taste, hospitality and price. Let's begin with quality, flavor and taste. We started our meal with Ahi Tuna Wontons and Crab Cakes. I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw Ahi Tuna Wontons on the menu. This dish tasted so fresh, sweet, crisp and slightly acidic, leaving us wanting lots and lots more! And the crab cakes were top notch as well. Next on the table were the Lobster Bisque and California Beet Salad. Both were excellent and on par with Gordon Ramsey's Hell's Kitchen in Las Vegas, which we recently patronized. On to the mains. We ordered Shrimp Risotto and Pork Shank Ossobuco. My husband said the shrimp was cooked so perfectly that it's probably the best he's ever had. The risotto was creamy and had a real depth of flavor. My ossobuco was excellent. Super tender with just the right amount of trimmings. Although I would've liked more vegetables and potatoes, the girth of my belly communicated otherwise. Finally, a great dining experience isn't complete without exceptional service and top-notch hospitality. From the moment we walked in, to the last steps we walked out of Desert Moon, we were greeted, treated, and served like VIP. I can see and hear the crowded dining room full of laughter and energy often lacking in a more upscale establishment, where the ambiance and formality just suck the life out of a special meal. Customers were able to be jovial, be romantic and be themselves and still be respectful without restraint. The staff, especially Serge, was extra attentive. Serge went out of his way to make sure our dining experience was the most excellent and special one. Serge had a non-pretentious and genuine demeanor coupled with a smile that melts ice instantly. When at Desert Moon, ask for Serge! Last but not least, Desert Moon is one of the few finer dining experiences that won't break the bank thanks partly to their budget friendly three-course menu. We've been to hundreds of restaurants with a similar menu that cost, in my guestimation (yes, this is a word), minimally 20-33% more. Our total (I won't repeat everything we ordered) including a dessert, a cocktail and taxes came out to a mere $115 + change! That's a very reasonable barrier for entry.

    Seafood linguine

Really cool restaurant. Got there earlier and enjoyed a margarita in the bar and also had the ahi won tons. Excellent. Super fresh and tasty. We all ordered the seafood linguine. First came an excellent salad. Good vinaigrette and love when they mix in citrus like mandarin oranges. The linguine was loaded. 3 big shrimp, 3 scallops and a half of a lobster tail. So why 4 stars? The cream sauce was a little lacking for all of our tastes. A little thin. Had to add salt. I asked for Cajun to give it a kick and it was still pretty bland. Very small thing though. Hospitality. service, decor and menu were all great.

Excellent food and excellent service. We also had Calamari and Ahi appetizers that were amazing. The prices are fair and all the food include soup or salad. Andrea our server was awesome and very attentive.

I ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and it was really good. The eggs were perfectly poached, the salmon was generous, and the hollandaise was creamy without feeling too heavy. I also liked that it came with fresh berries on the side, which made the whole plate feel a little lighter. We also shared the bread and cheese board, and surprisingly, the pear with the date spread was probably one of my favorite bites. The pear was crisp and fresh, and that sweet, rich date spread was seriously addictive. I kept going back for more. The bread, nuts, cheese, and other little bites on the board made it really fun to share. The drinks were refreshing too, and the presentation was beautiful without trying too hard. Definitely one of those places where I'd come back with friends for a slow weekend brunch. The food was good, but the charming patio and overall vibe were probably my favorite part.

It tasted like Vietnamese beef jerky... quite a surpise! For appetizer, we had gazpacho and beet salad. Both are very refreshing and perfect for summer time. Also Sunday brunch can never go wrong. Right in the heart of town along the main strip of downtown. Perfect for people watching while dining on the patio. We like to enjoy the sun and people watching which patio is alway a good option for us. Of course we make friends with the waiter as they alway take care of us. Everyone here from the staff, waiter and waitress, and the owners are all very sweet and friendly. Menu is alway great. You have both the breakfast and brunch menu. We tend to come for them mainly but have never tried dinner here. Of course the bubbly is always a good start. A bottle with three juice options and fresh fruit for adornment. Strawberries and blueberries for the bougie bubbly effect. And for the price, it's worth it. Food wise, we went with the chicken sandwich with salad and the burger with fruit. A side of fries is definitely a must even if it comes with it. Portion for the sandwich was massive. Nice thick piece of grilled and marinaded chicken breast filled with lettuce, tomatoes, onion and avocados on toasted bread. It's massive even when they sliced it in halves. And the burger, two nice patties with lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion and bacon. A classic and it was delicious. I'm not a burger person but every now and then a bite is worth it. The food has alway been excellent. Crowd is alway nice and bubbly. It's cute chit chatting with the other guest nearby. The lady at the door told us inside would probably be loud because there were two bigger tables in there. It was hot outside, so we decided to sit inside anyway. We almost immediately regretted that and wished we'd sat outside. This place is not made for being busy on the inside. It's just too loud. But, cute in there. Our server, who we later learned was the bartender and not a usual server, took our drink orders. A few of us ordered the Hugo spritz, one gal got a beer, and a few other cocktails were ordered. We got our drinks and they were enjoyable. The problem began when we were ordering food. One girl in our group is Celiac and literally can not eat gluten. She ordered the salmon and asked to be sure the potato salad was gluten free. If things are fried or prepared in the same place as gluten objects, she is incredibly ill for weeks afterwards. She has to be super careful. His response was, "I think so." She told him she was celiac and had a true gluten allergy, and she needed him to be sure. Meanwhile, the menu boasts about how they proudly serve gluten free options right on the bottom. He then said, "yeah, I'm pretty sure it is." He genuinely did not seem concerned. She ended up ordering it but felt uncomfortable about whether or not it was really safe for her. Another girl at the end of the table asked him to please double check, as it was really a serious allergy. He said, "Yeah I am going to ask the chef. I wasn't going to just ignore it and make all you girls mad." He had the snarkiest tone when he said it, and it was incredibly, incredibly rude. That right there gave us a bad taste in our mouths. He came back out and said he checked with the chef, and it was indeed gluten free. Food came out and all tasted good. But when a restaurant prides itself on gluten free options, and then makes it so hard to order, it's not a good look. We wouldn't be back.
