My girl friends and I had the best time here. Service was great, everyone was attentive and came around to make sure we had enough water. Everything on their menu sounds amazing so I don't think you can make the wrong choice. Cocktails were potent but balanced. Ambience was intimate and polished. I absolutely loved the food. It was well seasoned, delicious and they even have a prefixed menu that you can choose from at a great value that includes dessert. The portion sizes for the food was perfect as I was able to eat everything and didn't feel sluggish. I do suggest calling ahead to make a reservation as this location quickly filled up on a Friday around 4pm. I will definitely be back!

We found this place on Yelp and made a reservation that day of. Very cute little place dodger American/french/Italian and some Asian fusion style food. We got steaks for dinner and came with either salad or soup. We ordered both and love them both. Steaks were also cooked perfectly per my preference. Service was also good and attentive. They all have a good menu of dessert. Parking is free as well. And close to downtown if you stay in downtown; it's an easy 10-15 mins walk.

Came here for our first night in Palm Springs and had a great experience. I really liked the ambience of the restaurant. We were seated by the fountain which made it feel peaceful and relaxing. Our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the filet mignon and it was really good. Super flavorful and tender, pretty much melted in your mouth with the butter and seasoning. I'd definitely come back for the steak and try some of the other options next time.

    Seafood linguine

Really cool restaurant. Got there earlier and enjoyed a margarita in the bar and also had the ahi won tons. Excellent. Super fresh and tasty. We all ordered the seafood linguine. First came an excellent salad. Good vinaigrette and love when they mix in citrus like mandarin oranges. The linguine was loaded. 3 big shrimp, 3 scallops and a half of a lobster tail. So why 4 stars? The cream sauce was a little lacking for all of our tastes. A little thin. Had to add salt. I asked for Cajun to give it a kick and it was still pretty bland. Very small thing though. Hospitality. service, decor and menu were all great.

STAFF IS SO GOOD. 10/10!!! But the food is definitely not worth how highly rated it is... Cowboy steak advertised as prime...definitely choice at best. cook was okay, but flavor was lacking, same with quality of steak. braised short rib was HARD AF i ate a BRICK. even the carrots.. how do you mess up vegetables.... bread & drinks were the best thing they have to offer. try at your own risk!! idk if people got paid for these high ratings but.... imma stick to my 2/5 best. SERVICE IS SOOOOO GOOD THO!!!!!!!!! SERVERS 10/10

The food presentation and flavor were very stylish and delicious. We tried Seafoof limguini, crusted chicken and salmon. The vibe is very relaxing and we sat outdoors enjoying the night breeze. Service was excellent.

Ahi Tuna Wonton and Crab Cakes. Delicious!

We've been vacationing in Palm Springs 2-3 times a year for the past 25 years. During our many, many stays, we tried and sampled countless restaurants from fancy and pricy, to mom-and-pop shops, and to everything in between. Some are still thriving. Others have left quietly. The rest are hanging on. Recently, we discovered Desert Moon on a recommendation. It's a fairly new restaurant that serves a fresh take on Latin Asian fusion with some French and Italian influences. I have been to many similar style restaurants around the country and a few in Coachella Valley, but none could match Desert Moon's combination of quality, flavor, taste, hospitality and price. Let's begin with quality, flavor and taste. We started our meal with Ahi Tuna Wontons and Crab Cakes. I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw Ahi Tuna Wontons on the menu. This dish tasted so fresh, sweet, crisp and slightly acidic, leaving us wanting lots and lots more! And the crab cakes were top notch as well. Next on the table were the Lobster Bisque and California Beet Salad. Both were excellent and on par with Gordon Ramsey's Hell's Kitchen in Las Vegas, which we recently patronized. On to the mains. We ordered Shrimp Risotto and Pork Shank Ossobuco. My husband said the shrimp was cooked so perfectly that it's probably the best he's ever had. The risotto was creamy and had a real depth of flavor. My ossobuco was excellent. Super tender with just the right amount of trimmings. Although I would've liked more vegetables and potatoes, the girth of my belly communicated otherwise. Finally, a great dining experience isn't complete without exceptional service and top-notch hospitality. From the moment we walked in, to the last steps we walked out of Desert Moon, we were greeted, treated, and served like VIP. I can see and hear the crowded dining room full of laughter and energy often lacking in a more upscale establishment, where the ambiance and formality just suck the life out of a special meal. Customers were able to be jovial, be romantic and be themselves and still be respectful without restraint. The staff, especially Serge, was extra attentive. Serge went out of his way to make sure our dining experience was the most excellent and special one. Serge had a non-pretentious and genuine demeanor coupled with a smile that melts ice instantly. When at Desert Moon, ask for Serge! Last but not least, Desert Moon is one of the few finer dining experiences that won't break the bank thanks partly to their budget friendly three-course menu. We've been to hundreds of restaurants with a similar menu that cost, in my guestimation (yes, this is a word), minimally 20-33% more. Our total (I won't repeat everything we ordered) including a dessert, a cocktail and taxes came out to a mere $115 + change! That's a very reasonable barrier for entry.

Excellent food and excellent service. We also had Calamari and Ahi appetizers that were amazing. The prices are fair and all the food include soup or salad. Andrea our server was awesome and very attentive.

On our journey to Palm Springs my team left the food choices to me since I'm picky. Lol. We showed up on a Wednesday night (note that they do not open Monday and Tuesday), around 4:40 PM. There was already a long line of individuals waiting to get in. There were about 15 people ahead of us. At opening, we were immediately sat down into the second dining room to the right of the restaurant. It gives a different vibe than the main room with its red bench seating and lantern ceiling. Although the benches were high, and the tables were a little low, we managed. Of course, we tried the complementary congee. Which I love, but my colleagues were not a big fan of. We ordered the calamari and the crispy beef noodle. We also ordered the shrimp and mango spring roll, the softshell crab and green papaya salad, and the pork belly lettuce wraps. The shining stars, for my colleagues were the calamari and crispy beef noodle. Followed by the shrimp and mango spring rolls and the softshell crab. The three of us did not enjoy the pork belly at all even though it came recommended. We actually only ate 2 pieces. The food overall was good although we wish we didn't get the pork or at least stuck to our goal of four main dishes. The waitress recommended we get one more and that's when we added the pork. Next time we will go with our gut instinct. One thing that was disappointing on this visit was that when we ordered drinks, one of them came out in a can. We were under the assumption it was a draft pour. For $14 it should have been noted that it is canned. The way that it is written into the menu no one would assume otherwise.

For appetizers, our favorites were the crispy ginger green beans (so flavorful and tasty!), the hand-rolled crispy egg rolls (yum!); and the crunchy tiger shrimp spring rolls (freshy and tasty; liked these better than the poached shrimp spring rolls or mango spring rolls). For entrees, our top favorites were the (1) chicken protein bowl w/ fresh seasonal vegetables in a delicious sauce w/ a touch of chili oil and tamari soy sauce; (2) the sweet tamari glazed salmon w/ wok fried rice noodles nad peanut tamarind sauce; and (3) the pad thai trio (w/ pork, chicken & shrimp). The tiger shrimp vermicelli w/ shrimp wontons (like a crispy egg roll), was good, but not the best I've had; noodles were thicker than usual. The spicy red curry ramen w/ pork belly had a very flavorful sauce, but the coconut broth made it quite heavy. The Vietnamese crepe w/ pork & shrimp was good, but had too many bean sprouts. The Fried Chicken was good, and very generous portion, but had a lot of breading and bones. Next time would like to try the pho. They also have a happy hour, currently 5-6 pm at the bar and outdoors w/ cocktail, wine, beer and appetizer specials. Friendly service and nice ambiance. Would definitely return!

A Wonderful Surprise for Two Very "Basic" Sushi People…read more My husband and I usually stick to the classics -- a California roll or something tempura‑based is about as wild as we get -- but this place had such great recommendations that we decided to be a little adventurous. I'm so glad we did. Reservations were simple to make online, and I loved that we could choose between bar seating, patio dining, or indoor dining. We chose indoors, and the atmosphere was beautiful: warm lighting, stylish decor, and a really inviting vibe. The staff was excellent from start to finish -- friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful. I ordered a whiskey cocktail recommended by our waitress (I wish I remembered the name), and it was absolutely delicious. We started with the gyoza, which were sublime -- perfectly crisp on the outside and tender inside. For maki, we tried the Experiment roll and the Ginger Shallot roll. Both were phenomenal. I was nervous my husband would hate them, but the ingredients blended so harmoniously that even he was impressed. Truly fantastic. We also ordered the bao buns, which my husband thought were incredibly juicy and flavorful. The only miss for me was the miso soup -- a bit too salty -- but everything else more than made up for it. We left absolutely stuffed, but also excited to come back and try even more adventurous rolls next time. For two people who usually play it safe with sushi, this place was a delightful step outside our comfort zone.

Would love for them to bring back the original recipe of the squash blossoms. The rolls didn't have much taste. The outdoor seating was super cute though, they had an outdoor bunker situation that was perfect for a group of 10. They were very accommodating for allergies.
