We were also able to schedule Ramon to handle the installations, which turned out to be much more complicated than any of us anticipated due to the poor craftsmanship/shortcuts taken by the original builders. I can't say enough nice things about Anthony! He installed our gas fireplace logs in Oct 2019 and the project was done on time and with high quality. It's absolutely beautiful and we are so happy with it. Anthony is super pleasant and professional. We decided to splurge and get the remote control that ignites the fire and controls the flame, and boy I'm sure glad I did. It's worth the money. Anthony promised me that if I ever had any problems with it he would come out and fix it. I had a minor issue with it recently and true to his word Anthony came out today and fixed it in less than 30 minutes. The gentleman who greeted us as soon as we entered the store also answered all our questions in regards to some bathroom light options and showed us different options with the parameters we were working with. There are lots of different metal finishes for both interior and exterior lighting. They also have fire places here. Would recommend checking them out since they have a lot of nice decorative lighting options. There are many light switch displays as well if you're shopping for different options in your house as well as light displays so you can see what range of bulbs you want for different spaces. read more

We knew very little about fireplaces but knew we needed to get our old-style fireplace replaced. We knew the look we wanted with a budget. Having gone to a few places in San Jose to look at fireplaces, we were puzzled by others who didn't really give us great advice on how to go about replacing the fireplace. When we came to Wright, they had a nice show room and walked us through our options for either replacing the entire fireplace or just changing the doors etc. They made use of what was already there by applying heat resistant paint and not replacing the entire fireplace and gave us a few options and opinions on what would look good. I've been meaning to review Wright Lighting for a while now. We've used Wright's products since they were located on San Carlos and have no complaints about the quality and design ideas... only praise. We've also purchased less expensive lighting from places like Ikea and Home Depot, the results of which we've been much less satisfied with. In fact, after a few years those lights typically ended up in a garage sale or good will donation. Back to Wright: We have a beautiful ceiling light in our bedroom and our baby's bedroom, we have two rails in the living room, an extending lighted magnifying mirror and above-mirror wall lights in our master bathroom, and some ceiling lights in our hallways....oh and some super efficient LED cans in the kitchen. The feeling of all of them is a clean and classic look that doesn't seem to be fading any time soon (thanks to advice from staff at Wright), and the light quality (which I hadn't put too much attention to in the past) really makes a huge difference in how the rooms feel. Wright also provided us with excellent ideas for which type of light switches to use and which to avoid. In other words, we are pretty darn happy with the purchases we've made as should be evident by how many purchases we've made! By the way, a lot of what we purchased was not displayed in the store. This is the kind of store where you need to talk with staff who can help you target what you're looking for in their catalogs. We've given some pretty vague descriptions of the type of look we were going for and all of a sudden the sales person shows us a surprisingly spot on catalog image. So don't just browse. read more

A few weeks ago, I finally stopped a seven year run of procrastination and started a redecorating project at home. Decided I had to check this place out - I've driven by it at least a hundred times. I walked in literally on a whim and whatever the sales guy (Glen) was working on, he stopped and gave me complete attention. Our contractor took our brand new light fixture in for repair, but unfortunately things went a little sideways with the repair. After much discussion, their customer service contact, Sandy, called me back and offered to meet us nearly half-way in splitting the cost of a replacement fixture. Rarely do we see a business that is true 5-star. Wright is deservedly one of them. I have never been in a lighting store (or most other kinds of stores) where the people are very knowledgable, pleasant, and really dedicated to helping the consumer. Last year we purchased CREE LED recessed lighting from them. They have a great place to evaluate choices, understand the "color" of the light, etc. They gave me a list of qualified electricians. Worked out great. Then, just a few days ago I noticed one of the lights was out. I assumed it was the (expensive) bulb, which is really the whole fixture. They told me to bring it in and they'd replace it. I went in, they tests it and found it worked OK in the store, but they still replaced it and the connectors so I could be comfortable I had what it would take to get it fixed. Then they e-mailed me installation instructions. Everything works fine now, and this place and it's people would get 6-stars from me if that were an option! read more

Their selection is fantastic - there are more lights on the wall here than at any other store I visited and they can get anything out of catalogs. The employees are wonderful. They were extremely patient with all of my questions and desire to return multiple times, and change my mind over and over again, before making a purchase. They know the products like the back of their hand, listen when you explain your needs and desires, and make excellent recommendations. They give options and never push a single solution - I never felt like they were trying to make me spend more money than I wanted to spend. Instead, they explain the pros and cons of each option and let me make an informed choice. After the purchase, they continue to be helpful as they were very communicative on the status of my order. I stood around for 5 minutes waiting for help but no one acknowledged me. I walked out and refuse to step foot in that store again. Totally rude. I took our one of our old lamps in for rewiring and new sockets. It was a very bad experience . The first thing that happened was the gentleman who took my lamp gave me an estimate of approx 200 dollars and 2 weeks to do it. It took about a month and a half and the final bill was 300 dollars. I had phoned many times to ask when the lamp might be ready and go placed on hold and hold and hold......till I finally hung up. After I finally agreed to pay 240.00 and left with the lamp the Owner called me and said he wanted me to be happy and offer to send my the $40.00 that was over the estimate. I Never received the money. The work on the lamp was good but I will never use this company again. read more

Glenn showed us numerous items on the floor and in catalogs and patiently explained the different finishes and options available. Brought a floor lamp to be repaired. They changed the socket and the bulb wattage without telling me. The bulb burned out before it should have. When I discovered the bulb was different than the lamp originally took they could not tell me what happened. They even said they don't install new sockets. They even tried to blame someone else for putting the sockets in! Denial seems to be their first defense. Rude, condescending and customer unfriendly. read more

We recently ran into a problem with the remote control for our gas fireplace. We had another company come out to take a look at it and they told us the device we had was recalled and recommended the replacement but told us they were 9 months backed up to be able to install it. After a few attempts to find someone who could install the replacement we were referred to Anthony. Anthony came out to the house, looked what we had and was honest. He usually does not do these types of replacements and could not guarantee it would work. I told him to go ahead and try the install of the replacement first. Anthony worked for close to two hours trying to get the component to work but wasn't able to. He explained where we were having problems (turned out it was the wiring and not the remote). Anthony ordered new parts for us, was back to the house within 10 days and we now have a working gas fireplace complete with a less complicated system and remote to run it all. The most important one was when we had Anthony, the owner, install our gas fireplace, measure and order the glass doors for it and install them as well. His service was outstanding. He went above and beyond in answering my questions, bringing additional materials to make our fireplace logs look perfect, and even to fit in our install right before Christmas.
