I've had nothing but great experiences taking my dog here. The staff has been kind and thorough, especially when helping my dog with a cyst and a scratch in his eye. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure he was comfortable throughout the visits. I chose this vet initially because it was within walking distance. It was fine at first for annual check ups. Then something was wrong with my dogs eye. They saw her and recommended a medicine. We came back after a week because it didn't help. They recommended doing the same medicine again. My dog had an ulcer that did not get any smaller. We came back a third time very frustrated and they said we should seek help from an eye care specialist and each place had over a month long wait and they didn't offer any help or other suggestions. Had they told us to do that in the first place we wouldnt have wasted so much time. After this we changed vets. read more

I have my pet's nails trimmed every couple of months. From the time you call to make your appointment and when you arrive at the desk everyone is so accommodating and professional. I have been with them for a number of years, and service is consistently a great experience. If you live out of the area it is definitely worth the drive for the care they give your pet. read more

This review is for DAYCARE only. Our puppy did not receive veterinary services at Wrigleyville, and after our experience, we will never be going back. We signed our pup up for a trial day of daycare to see if this could be a long-term daycare option for us. Scheduling the trial day was not an easy process. We filled out a form online in the morning and received an email that someone would be calling us to schedule. We did not receive a call. We waited until late afternoon and then decided to walk over to Wrigleyville Vet. When we questioned the front desk staff, they did not apologize or acknowledge their lack of communication. We were able to schedule the trial day in person for the following week. We arrived at 12pm for our trial day which was supposed to run from 12-6pm. We were then told that dogs have a nap time from 12-2 where they stay in their crates (first red flag). Why would you have us drop off our dog at 12 to have him sit in a crate for 2 hours?! Playtime would be from 2-5pm. We went along with it, thinking our dog would have a solid 3 hours to run around and make some new friends. At 3:30pm we decided to walk by and have the team members lift the garage door (we were peering in trying to find our puppy). We were then told that he did great and he just got put back in his crate. Put back in his crate?! If I wanted him in the crate, I could've kept him at my house. What would be the point of a daycare day?He had just been in his crate from 12-2. I then asked if he would stay in his crate until we were planning on getting him hours later. The answer was yes. I immediately asked for my dog back so that we could take him home. I tried to express my concerns at the front desk but was met with confusion and poor customer service. I called them after this experience to gain clarity as to why my dog who's being assessed for daycare for 6 hours would be spending 4.5 hours in a crate. We were informed by their staff that this place is NOT a traditional daycare but rather a place to keep your dog safe. This review is mainly regarding their lack of transparency and corporate feel. I felt more like a customer than someone bringing their dog to a friendly, neighborhood doggy daycare. read more

My spouse and I lived in Lakeview and brought Mikey our Morky to the center. Fast forward two years and now we live in the loop and Mikey has an ulcer on his eye. We decided to go to the center. No feat traveling with Mikey. After being ignored for 70 minutes and Mikey being upset I thought I would see what was going on. I was kind but resolute to find out what was going on. To my amazement an employee behind the desk looked strait in my eye waved her hand and said GOODBYE 3 times. I continue to be shocked. I never give 1 star reviews but they earned it. read more

Excellent care for all of my beloved pets. I have used them for both end of life care and services during the pandemic. It was a very difficult time and I was able to be present for my senior cats last moments. The support staff and veterinarians have all been compassionate throughout the process. They are very quick with responding to messages and helping to make sure they provide the best care. I now have 2 younger cats and a new puppy that have been in for colds and wellness vaccines. I have been taking my dog to Wrigleyville Vet for daycare and vet appointments for over two years. The front desk staff let me know they had grooming services, and they could take her back during daycare which would be super convenient. They don't post any prices or packages anywhere. The groomer called me TWICE to discuss the services. I asked for a basic bath, sanitary trim, and paw pad trim. We pay $47 for this service at petsmart, but definitely expected it to be a little more here maybe $80-120. When I went to pick her up, they charged me $280 for the grooming. Then, they said "Oh you get a new customer discount so it's only $250!" I have a 50 lb flat haired dog who I groom at home monthly. She's not aggressive, has no mats. This cost is WILDLY out of the realm of reason, and the groomer had the opportunity to flag the price twice and deliberately didn't. When I raised how non-transparent and out of line the pricing was compared to other options in the neighborhood to the front desk person, they said "Well then you should go somewhere else in the neighborhood" We will never go back to Wrigleyville Vet for any service. read more

This was our first and last visit to this vet. We brought our cat that we adopted in May due to limping the entire Labor Day weekend. Dr. Slossberg only spent about 5-6 minutes with her and suggested an x-ray. They took the x-ray and asked if we wanted to send it to a radiologist to take a look at. The bill was approximately $750. A 5 minute doctor visit, X-ray and sending it to a radiologist to read and a couple pain pills (2) for her. The conclusion was there was nothing wrong with her leg, and she hasn't limped since. We submitted the claim to our pet insurance and it was denied due to how the doctor worded her "limping occasionally since adopting" her in May. We never told him she limped except for one or two times in July but only lasted a few minutes. We talked to the insurance and they said the way he had wired his SOAP noted that it was preexisting conditions. Nothing in all of our medical paperwork from the adoption said anything about a limp. The insurance said to have them amend the SOAP notes or write a letter on their stationary and re-submit the claim. Wrigleyville Vet refused to amend the medical note and refused to write a letter for us to submit to our insurance company, even after explaining to them, once in September and again today 12/5. Samatha, the acting manager, was terrible to talk to. She didn't really care and said it wasn't "their (Wrigleyville Vet's) fault it did not go our way "with our insurance company. I was told today on the phone that I was told all of this in September. I explained to her that our insurance company, once again, asked us to reach out to the vet again. It isn't about getting our way, it is just amending a report the insurance company told us to ask them for or to write a letter explaining that her limp started in July. But they refused saying that is not allowed. There are many other clinics around that have much better client care. read more

Paul is a lifesaver when it comes to grooming!! This was my 11yo husky's first time at Wrigleyville and I gave Paul a challenge as it had been well over 6 months since Kujo had a deep groom. He immediately sat down with me and got to know Kujo's personality first which was a comfort in itself. Then after the 4 hours it took of removing his undercoat and doing the full 'works' on him, I received a call with full detail on how it all went as well as got insight to any health concerns he found while examining him. The best and most trustworthy people are those who are referred and Paul was referred to me by another husky mom who had only good things to say. Unless your pet is in need of costly testing, imagining and/or treatment or even euthanasia, don't bother going there. We scheduled regular check up and immunization appointment and were left waiting for a full hour. We left without being treated. This is an update on my previous review. They didn't see my cat for an hour and we left I forgot to mention in my previous post that I did have a concerns about my cat's poor appetite and weight. If the vet just cared to stop by our exam room to say hi, he would've noticed that my cat isn't feeling well. But the vet had high $ patient next door so we were not a priority. I took my cat to another vet hospital few days later, it turned out my cat was underweight, with pale yellow gums, and tested positive for FIP. Currently my cat is in another hospital fighting for his life, and seems like he's going to lose this battle..... but we were not the priority to be seen because we were 'regular check up' patient only. I took my Great Pyrenees in to have his teeth cleaned. Cleaning was done, and then the doctor recommended Apoquel (spelling) for his allergies. Well, Apoquel DID NOT WORK. I called asking for a refund, even half of a refund, and I was told no because I chose to get Apoquel. The doctor recommended Apoquel. i a , I guess, should trust the doctor knows what should be given to my pet. Very BAD whenit comes to pleasing customers, and I really like that place. I brought my puppy in to get a Lyme / tick booster shot (the first went fine) as I was taking him to a high-tick density area in upstate NY (and it had to be the day I brought him in). They took him back for that and a heartworm test, but then returned and said he was too anxious, peeing on the floor, and they were worried he might bite or poop. I said we could forego all the heartworm testing or other bloodwork, do that all later, but I really wanted the Lyme booster before we departed today. They took him back, then returned and said, no, he is too anxious, and do not worry, his first shot should give him enough protection (despite them telling me earlier, to get him a booster). They also said I should get some medication to calm him before bringing him back. I am sorry but I think any vet staff should know how to give any anxious dog one shot. They could put his mouth in a restraint, ask me to come back and try and calm him, etc. Everyone there is very friendly, but I cannot recommend this vet. read more

Dr. Ken Slossberg has provided wonderful care for our puppy and Paul has done a superb job with the grooming, since our little one is quite the shedder! He's still getting used to daycare but the staff overseeing it has always been communicative and responsive. Update 4/26: Because I left the above candid review, this practice has chosen not to see my dog for her surgery follow-up appointment unless I remove it. This was an important appointment for us since a fistula (tunneling hole) was discovered between her tooth socket and nasal passage during her dental extractions, and there is very real concern for infection and wound healing problems. However I stand by what I said in my original review, and look forward to finding a more ethical practice that better reflects my values - accountability instead of retaliation. Quality care should not be conditional or involve threats. What does it say about a practice if they care more about saving face online than a dog's recovery? Update 12/12/22: I actually deleted my September 2022 review because this business had a very nice and thoughtful response to my review below. I wanted to schedule an appointment today because of their response but instead of providing a true guest recovery experience and a potential loyal patient/guest, they decided to decline my appointment request which is why I am writing this now. Poor customer service through and through. 09/22/22 Visit: We took our cat that we adopted earlier this month from PAWS Chicago. I emailed their info@ email to request an appointment where I did specify that I was looking to book an appointment for our cat and "was just wanting to use the partnership PAWS has with the NVA and just a wellness check up in general". The info@ email responded with available appointments and then the appointment was booked. The partnership with the NVA and PAWS is that a free wellness exam is covered with up to $500 max coverage for certain conditions. Wrigleyville Veterinary Center was listed as one of the hospitals as part of NVA. We arrived a few minutes before the appointment at 10am and our cat was seen by the vet at 10:20am (no one apologized or notified us that our appointment was running late). There were even several people/pets that arrived later than us and were seen before us. Our cat gets seen by the vet, a general check up happens, and he says that our cat could get an x ray to confirm what the lump in our cat was. The vet goes away to fire up the x rays and the vet tech comes back in. We ask the vet tech if the x ray is covered under the $500 max coverage with the partnership with NVA. The vet tech responds with she has no idea what the partnership is. I handed to her and explained the flyer from PAWS where the Wrigleyville Vet Center is listed on the flyer. She goes to the back and asks the practice manager to confirm what the partnership is. She comes back and says that the practice manager said the NVA partnership is still a work in progress. The tech was trying to put the blame on PAWS and saying PAWS should not be handing out the flyer with their clinic listed on it. She was not acknowledging the initial email I had sent.. This is where I am very frustrated - I had mentioned in my initial email that I was wanting to use the partnership of NVA and PAWS only to discover that it doesn't exist at this clinic? This was a waste of our time because we would not have gone to this clinic if they did not honor the partnership. The confusion could have been cleared up if they just emailed to ask what I was talking about when I mentioned the partnership from the get go. It feels like all they wanted was any money they could get and just booked the appointment without clarifying with me and asking what the partnership was. read more

We're very happy with Wrigleyville Vet being our vet for our Corgi pup. We initially went with them simply because they could see us soonest (~1wk) after getting our pup. Plenty of other vets wouldn't take new "patients" or had insane wait times. We've met and had Drs. Bookstaff, Hardiman, Dudun, and Slossburg and all have been professional, direct, and great to deal with. The team in front is super helpful as well when you have to call in for anything (thanks, Chris!). Today our lil' dum-dum ate a packing foam sheet while out and about and thankfully they could get us in ASAP to get it out. Billing, payments, and records are handled easily and you get your records electronically and in a flash. Anyway, we highly recommend them to anyone and they've been great for our little Chorizo! If I HAD to offer any critical feedback, it's that I wish they were taking new dogs for boarding because we'd trust them for that (call me! Let us in! Haha), and can't wait for COVID stuff to be over so we can go in the lobby upon arrival as it's so open and pretty. Switched to Wrigleyville Veterinary from another local veterinarian because I felt my previous vet was just.. off. Super high bills with little bedside manner or explanation. I'm glad I switched. Invoices are noticeably cheaper for the same issues (my dog tends to get conjunctivitis a lot) and ALL the staff I've interacted with were patient and kind. Literally even their voices over the phone are friendly/understanding and the actual veterinarians are kind as well. Bedside manner is important even for dogs. I'm really SUPER pleased with their boarding though! I traveled to England for what was supposed to be 7 days but had to extend 2 days last minute due to my flight being changed. They gladly let my dog stay for additional time with no qualms. She enjoyed group play with other pups every day, was walked multiple times a day and received a complimentary bath she much needed. I was sent updates with photos and the way they accurately described my dog's personality (which is goofy and unique with some quirks) tells me not only did they care for her well but they really spent time with her. The total bill for boarding was a couple hundred less than I expected. My dog had such a great time I'm not too sure she was very excited to see me, LOL! That's really how I know it was money well spent. Thank you Maggie, Samantha, Caitlin and all who work here. I tried my best to remember everyone's names who spoke with me (and had patience with my questions!!) while I was gone so I could give them public praise. I didn't catch his name but a young man bothered to call and ask about her allergies etc because I didn't pack enough food for her due to the flight delay. They provided a plain chicken-based food for her those days for little cost per day. All around friendly, caring and don't rip you off. So happy they're in my neighborhood and I'll keep coming back! read more

Love this place!! I am a first time puppy owner and they are so helpful! The puppy wellness plan is great for new dog owners who aren't sure of everything their dog needs. Booking his shots are easy, and I never have to worry when Bruno is in their care. My dog is very small so I am very careful with his care. The staff is friendly and super helpful. Bruno started making a weird coughing noise and was vomiting a bit one night, so I called the next morning and they were able to take him as a drop off. He was able to stay there for a while and they would check him out in between in appointments. He came home with meds and is one happy pup now! Makes my life so much easier and Bruno loves coming. This practice tries to scam you in buying a "wellness plan" which they hope you forget about so they can keep billing you even after you told them you are moving away and won't be using their services anymore. It's strange how they provide an invoice for all the medicine and procedures performed but can't provide one for the recurring payments that happen from the "wellness plan". My dog was well past their due date for vaccines and you would think they would call or email if they really cared, but instead they kept charging their plan every couple of months. When I brought it up to Wrigleyville, they said they had no records of them transferring my dog's medical records to my new vet so they wouldn't refund any of my money. How would my new vet have gotten the records then? Stay away from the wellness plan! read more

We have another vet that we go to and love and have only used Wrigleyville Veterinary Center on a couple of occasions for boarding and daycare. We will never bring our dog here again. We boarded Kramer for the weekend as we had a wedding in Ohio. Two hours in to the drive, we got a call that he was involved in an "incident" with another dog (pit bull mix). The other dog bit Kramer on his neck and he suffered 4 deep puncture wounds. We were called right away and told about the incident and that Kramer was stable. They asked if they could do X-rays due to the location of the bite in relation to the lungs and we obliged. They informed us of the cost and we naturally wanted to do what was in the best interest our dog. Once we got off the phone with them, we had a moment of clarity and wondered why they would ask us to pay for treatment of a wound that occurred under their care and supervision. We didn't want to make a fuss while Kramer was still in their care. Sure enough, when we went to pick up Kramer, we were asked for payment for the lodging and treatment of the wound. We approved payment for the lodging and asked to speak with someone regarding payment for the wound treatment. The practice manager was not available at the time and we were told we would receive a phone call. The phone call came a few hours later and it was clear that they expected payment in full. To be frank, I was stunned that there was no effort on their part to make the situation right by offering to treat Kramer's wounds for free or at a discount. Afterall, the incident occured under their supervision. I understand that things happen but they had an opportunity to make the situation right yet they failed in every regard. Had they treated Kramer's wounds pro bono or at a reduced rate, we would have quietly been on our way. But their lack of empathy and understanding from our point of view made us feel the need to share. read more

Wrigleyville does not practice veterinary medicine. Instead, it allows its customers to feel graced with a five or ten minute consultation by a DVM, then lets the grossly unqualified vet techs and receptionists act as triage nurses so that the the DVMs, presumably on the golf course, never have to answer any real questions ever again. Here's how my case is going down so far: My cat had not been eating, but an injection of anti-nausea medication turned that around. Until we could speak to the doctor next, we wanted to continue with the medication, but our cat refuses pills. He's 18 years old. I know his behavior well, have always administered injections, and my previous vets have always obliged. The Wrigleyville technician, on the other hand, refused to supply liquid doses for injections simply because "the practice doesn't do that." Wrong. We received an Rx for Gabapentin suspension and a syringe. We dose out every night 3 ml. If we can manage dosing an oral suspension, it stands to reason we can dose and administer an injection. I'm actually dosing and administering injections for a human at the moment. Moreover, I consulted with other DVMs, and an oral suspension is available for the nausea medication. The owners of this practice have decided instead to endanger the health of their patients out of sheer inflexibility. This is an easy problem to solve. So is putting me on the phone with a DVM for two and a half minutes so that I can ask direct questions. A tech is not qualified to answer my questions. Refusing to supply the medication and syringes for the health of my cat constitutes medical negligence when considering my cat's past refusal of pills. He has essentially been refused Ceneria 10mg by Wrigleyville Veterinary Center. Either Wrigleyville practices medicine or it doesn't. A practice so intransigent that it cannot adapt to the needs of its patients is dangerous. I strongly recommend finding a different practice. read more

Update based on owner comment: I received results from a vet tech 2 days later (9/14) after having to call multiple times. I was told at the appointment that her results would be available around 10 am on 9/13 ). And the only reason I even was able to talk to a vet tech was because I called AGAIN 5 minutes before closing on 9/14 since I hadn't heard from anyone and I was GUARANTEED earlier in the day that her results are in and a doctor would call me by end of day. (Yes I had called the day after her appointment for results and told they weren't in yet. I called again later in the day and was told her results where still unavailable. I called later in the day and twice the following day and was told her results where In but a doctor has to talk to me because no one else can give me that information but that a doctor would call me by end of day. And then when I called the final time 5 minutes before closing on 9/14, I was connected to a vet tech... even though they previously told me 3 times only a doctor could release her results.) The vet tech could only tell me that my dog was positive. He was not able to give me any information on what this meant for my dog or what treatment would look like. So yes I did call the clinic 2 times a day following that phone call to try to talk to a doctor about what the next steps are considering I was TERRIFIED and had absolutely 0 information on what next steps are. The first communication from a doctor was an email on 9/17 at 4:33 pm. Her appointment was on 9/12. So it took 5 days for an email, and 7 days for an actual phone call. Also when the doctor did call me finally, it wasn't even her doctor, it was another doctor who told me they're not very familiar with the case but could atleast prescribe medication and tell me what treatment looks like moving forward. I asked my Bestfriend who is a vet tech at another hospital to ask the doctor she works with if this is the correct treatment. I was told by that Vet that my dog should have gotten another blood test prior to starting medication. So I called the clinic again to ask if this is correct before I started her on medication. The doctor wasn't able to talk so the receptionist put in a note for them to call me. Shocker they didn't call me. So I called the next day and they told me a doctor still wasn't available but would put another note. I called again on the 3rd day and was noticeably frustrated on the phone so the receptionist finally talked to a doctor and she told me that my dog should have the test done prior to starting medication. So why in the world was she prescribed that medication to start taking 3 days earlier? Thank god I trusted my gut and asked my friend for help and didn't pick up the meds. You will not receive any information from this vet hospital unless you call them non stop. I have since transferred my dog to Roscoe Village Animal Hospital and have had a tremendously better experience. The doctor or vet tech responds to any questions I have within 24 hours. And I was only told the full scope of everything at this clinic. I received information from them on the first appointment that I hadn't received from wrigleyville vet the whole time. Me and my dog have moved around alot since I've had her, she has been a client at 6 vet hospitals. This is the only bad review I have ever left on a vet hospital, because I understand how busy the hospitals and doctors are. However this experience was unacceptable and I would not wish it anyone else! read more

*PART 1* *SEE NEIL D. FOR PART 2* Friday, 8/7/2020, we took our dog here & had the worst experience I could possibly think of. Our dog is 2.5 years old, healthy, goes on 5-7 walks a day and is very socialized. He needed to see a vet for some eye boogers. He had these before, his reg vet diagnosed it as mild conjunctivitis, gave him antibiotic eye drops & they went away, no problems. After being familiar with the eye boogers my dog had a year ago, I was pretty positive that he had the same conjunctivitis going on. My boyfriend & I went to the appointment, dropped him off. With COVID-19, I knew I couldn't go in so I told them all we wanted is to assess eyes, give medication, nothing else. I read reviews they push other services-- I didn't want to walk out of there paying hundreds for eye boogers. 45 minutes go by, I get a call from the vet. He has conjunctivitis (just like I thought) but is worried that maybe because of the redness, he may have a corneal abrasion or a retinal detachment. She explained to make sure his eyes are okay, she wants to perform a blood pressure/systemic pressure screening, intraocular pressures, and a corneal eye stain as well as extensive blood work, all totalling well over $300. **To reiterate, I went in to the vet for some eye boogers in both eyes & he was just at his regular vet in February 2020** I say OK to the corneal eye stain, blood pressure screening and intraocular pressures, hold off on the blood work for now after those results. She says OK I'll call you back with results. Total of 2.5 hours go by, told me "they had an emergency" & thats why this all took so long, finally I get my dog. They told me they'd call me later with the results. I walked out of there paying $200 for EYE BOOGERS. As the vet tech hands off my dog, he says "by the way, we shaved your dogs paw to take his blood pressure" & points to his back left paw. I was surprised I was being told this now, AFTER he was shaved but I took a look at his paw and it was fine so we went home. Friday night 8PM, vet calls me and tells me that the results were normal besides a little high BP but because he was nervous. The next day, Saturday, I noticed my dogs front left paw was shaved as well, actively bleeding and very reddened. I noticed this and was SHOCKED. Not only was I not informed they shaved two paws, but they actually CUT his paw pad & shaved extremely close to his skin to the point where it was inflamed. My dog was constantly licking it throughout the day on Saturday & into the night. I decided to give the vet a call on Sunday, because my dog was in pain. I give them a call Sunday AM, explain to them that when shaving his paws, they managed to cut his paw & it was bleeding. They told me that we can bring him in for an apt & they can look at it. I wanted to confirm I would not pay anything, because this was something they caused. They told me that they would "take a look at it" & "generously waive the exam fee" but they would not waive ANY treatment to his paw if needed. (This included any antibiotic cream, wrapping paw, pain relief, any type of aid needed to resolve issue). We would have to pay out of pocket for any treatment to something THEY did to him. Not only was this frustrating but their lack of compassion genuinely concerned me. I told them I dont trust taking my dog back to them and I will have to treat it myself but Id like to speak with their manager. Sunday AM, their manager was not there. I told them to write my # & my boyfriends, bc I was working the next day, and to please call us to talk to us about the situation. I ran to Walgreens so I could help my dog IN PAIN. I put a topical antibiotic to site & wrapped his paw for 8hrs so he wouldn't lick the cream off the site. I removed wrap, cleansed site & left open to air. We kept a close eye on it,monitored inflammation. We didn't receive a call til Tuesday afternoon. We waited 2 days to hear from anyone, we actually had to call them to remind them we wanted to speak with the manager. --Wouldn't you be eager to speak with an upset customer, especially after an accidental injury?? *Edited to respond to comment: 1. Our bill was $189.46. 2. I was only informed (AFTER picking him up) that 1 paw was shaved to take his blood pressure. I found out within 24hrs after his apt that another paw was shaved as well, which is where the injury was. He had only been for 1 short walk at night, after the appointment, because I picked my dog up at sunset. 3. To conclude, this all comes down to trusting others to care for your pet like it was your own & the experience we had did not match that. I do not believe it was "generous" to waive an exam fee to look at his paw if you aren't going to treat it and waive fees for the injury caused. My dog and I have always had a good experience with the vet techs. They are friendly and helpful.

Great vet practice for my cat. They have treated him for an ear infection and boarded him. The boarding drop off and pick up times are more flexible than other places. You can pick up your pet from boarding on Sundays. Our vet moved to another state during the pandemic, so do not have a specific vet to recommend. read more

I cannot say anything bad about how well my experience has gone so far since choosing this vet for my new mini schnauzer, Sunny! I initially contacted them through email since I am hearing impaired and informed them that I could not do well over phones. The team were understanding and more than willing to work with me on this by letting me communicate with them through email and via texts instead of phone calls to check into the appointments during covid policy! Every receptionist, vet tech and Dr. Bookstaff has been so great with me and Sunny and I can't even begin to say how it's such a relief to work with people who are understanding of my barriers with hearing over phones and masks and still are so patient with me. That is sadly something that's rare when interacting with services. Dr. Bookstaff is very friendly and is always great about explaining everything thoroughly and is so so so friendly with Sunny and I know my dog Sunny likes him too! So far, the prices has been really affordable, I signed up for wellness plan and only really had to pay out of pockets/outside that plan for medications so far which hasn't been expensive so far. I've been going since Fall 2021 and will continue to use this vet for my dog!! :) read more

I'm not typically a fan of online reviews, but my experience with Wrigleyville seems important to share. I was excited to find a new vet after moving to Chicago, but my first experience was very rough. The clinic staff elected to perform care I didn't ask for or need without verifying first. I called three times prior to my visit to say exactly what I needed done, and they ignored all of those calls and charged me for the additional services. I wasn't notified about any of these until the bill was due. On top of that, they called me back to pick up my dog but forgot to tell anyone in clinic - I waited more than an hour outside their front door before someone realized they needed to go grab my dog. The staff watched me through the window the entire time (while bringing other dogs out to their owners) without bothering to check why I was there for so long. read more

I could not say a single bad thing about this veterinary clinic! Today was my first time bringing my dog in because she got really sick and had to be taken out almost every hour cause of a stomach issue, she's a 7 year old pit bull/lab. I called first thing in the morning and was able to drop her off within the hour, and the vet would be able to see her between visits since it I didn't have an appointment and it was urgent. Soon as I dropped her off with in 25mins I get a call from the vet and they told me what they did test wise and how she was doing, and what they recommend blood work, X-rays, ect... they did not pressure you into getting anything just recommend what they think. They prescribed some medications and I wanted them to do the blood work, they did everything so quickly and was so good with keeping me up to date about it! I had my dog back within 2 hours and they told me what I needed to do and how to feed her! The staff is amazing and so nice! I was expecting a huge bill like $400 easy and it was half of that! I would definitely recommend them for a check up or a emergency if god forbid something happens! 10/10 experience and my dog already seems like she's feeling better!
