Frank is an artist! Great to work with; knows so much. I told him I wanted it to be quite, also told him about the heat issue with vapor locking. He addressed each issue and also recommended some fixes to the brackets that someone else did that was wrong. I told him this is not a daily driver so take your time. Only four days and it was done. When I went to pick it up he shows you what he did and why. My Jeep is so quite I can drive with the windows down and still hear the radio. Brought my truck by to have a muffler installed. Frank was very accommodating and friendly. He moved some stuff around to get my truck right in. He lofted the trick and went over everything with me and accommodated all my needs. I went to get a coffee at Starbucks and came back and the truck was done. I found this shop on Yelp & Yelpers have yet to let me down. My check engine light has been on for months & I have known that I need to replace the catalytic convertor on my 1998 Honda CRV. My BF works on cars but is not a mechanic & has a scan tool- he fixed everything else but the convertor. (Valve adjustment was also done by Allen's Auto Wrench- check my review in them!) I need to smog my car to register it & kept putting off the repair. Even paid my registration fees & drove with expired tags. FOR MONTHS. Well today, I finally took care of the repair. I read the Yelp reviews & was happy to find a place in my same city (Vista) that was open on Saturday morning. My BF was not able to take care of the repair for me but told me exactly what was needed & told me not to pay over $400. I called & spoke to the owner Frank. He was straight forward, honest & funny. He quoted me under my BF's threshold. He told me if I got there in an hour that he could complete the repair the same day. When I got there the part was en route. Frank was just as nice & honest in person. He told me everything my BF did regarding the needed repairs. He took the time to explain everything to me. I was in & out in a little over an hour. I can't tell you how great it is to find this great of service! Sometimes as a female, getting car repairs can be uncomfortable & you can get taken advantage of or treated like you're stupid. (I had a manager at Discount Tire roll his eyes at me for asking for a tire rotation that he didn't think I needed but my BF told me to get). I am so relieved to have this repair completed & not to be riding dirty anymore. Great shop, clean/comfortable waiting room, great service, honest prices, down to earth owner, this is the definition of Mom & Pop. I was in a bind. It was late Saturday morning and my new axle-back muffler wasn't fitting right; it needed some professional adjustment. But who's going to be able to fix it on a Saturday without appointment? WTB Muffler, that's who. All the muffler shops I called required an appointment. WTB said "I don't know if I can fit you in; call back at noon. When I did, they said "come on down". Although WTB works on all cars, I could tell they are an enthusiasts' establishment. They don't ask you to "stay behind the yellow line" and remain in the waiting room. Frank, the owner, and his friend Mel, love cars and love sharing their knowledge and hearing your story. It's like going to your friends garage to watch the experts work. Anyway, although the welds on my Italian exhaust were beautiful, one of them was off, resulting in a misaligned exhaust. Frank made it right though; and I got to see him do it. He is passionate for perfection and goes the extra mile. I would consider the cost to be very reasonable during the regular work week. The fact that it was a Saturday made the cost incredible. Finding a good automotive professional is a crap shoot. Unscrupulous mechanics will rip you off if you don't understand mechanics, and inexperienced ones have you coming back again and again to fix the problem. I am so glad my husband found this place! These guys know their stuff, are honest, friendly, fast and have the best prices you'll find anywhere. It started with my husband searching for a good shop to beef up his Toyota Tundra. He searched Yelp and found this shop near our house. He took it in on a Saturday morning, left it with Frank for two hours while he walked around with the kids (there's a yogurt/ sandwich shop just across the street in the Big Lots shopping center). Just two hours later the Tundra was complete with custom pipes and a nice new tip. Looks and sounds great, and I believe he paid only $200! So that was it, I needed to beef up my exhaust too! Frank told my hubby to just have me swing by with my Mini Cooper and he'd take a look and see if he needed to order anything for it. He suggested first cutting the pipe and taking it for a drive to see if I liked the sound level. It was great, so he just added a duel tip he had in stock and viola, Mini done! this place needs 0 stars. i asked for a straight pipe and a downpipe and the guy did it but did a terrible job. first off the welds he did were terrible. i wish i took pictures of it. second he said that my downpipe was too big to install properly and said that i needed a new gasket for the downpipe to exhaust side. he gave me an exhaust leak. i went to a different muffler shop to see what they charged for fixing that and they said that whoever installed the downpipe did it wrong. read more

First of all, I came to see Frank by way of referral, so I already had high expectations. I recently purchased an old Landcruiser from out of state, and the factory exhaust system had been torn out. I came to Frank because I knew I had a hard road to getting this thing legal. Frank put it on the lift and devised a plan. I found him to be very knowledgable, thorough, and fair. Throw in funny and just an all around good dude. His plan involved harvesting some rather expensive (and hard to find) components, then designing a near-OEM system. He had this truck completed in a day, and it passed smog like the day it first rolled out of the plant. The planning, dismantling, fabrication, welding, and installation was a work of art. Price was reasonable too. I know I used alot of key words in this review, but they are well-deserved. I would not hesitate to recommend Frank for anything. If he says he can do it, you better believe he can. And your vehicle will be so happy you took it here! read more

Seriously, I've been quoted so many ridiculous prices from other stingy shops who take advantage of people who are clueless to costs of parts and labor. Here, I never have to worry about that. Nikko and Frank are the most genuine mechanics I have ever met. Aside from being extremely knowledgeable and kind, they won't try to sell you on any extra crap. They'll even make suggestions to make your repairs more affordable. These guys have helped me with so many car issues this past month ranging from broken motor mounts to shocks and struts. I would have easily paid over a grand for all these repairs but somehow they were able to get everything down to a reasonable, "poor student-friendly" price. Frank is the best. I drove from LA to see him because my old car ('98) needed a new catalytic converter, and Frank researched the part, found it and for a very low price said he could do it. I dropped my car off at 5:15 pm on a Friday and by Saturday at 2 pm, I had a basically brand new car. First, he was open and honest with me about what I needed (which was A LOT, my car hadn't been looked at in 5 years, my fault) then he prioritized for me so I wouldn't have to lose a huge chunk of cash all in one day.
