My dishwasher was leaking and Wuerstlin's fixed it by PHONE and charged me ZERO DOLLARS. They are the best. My dishwasher has a system that detects and stops leaks as soon as they happen. I cannot say enough about Wuerstlin's appliance service. They are amazing, friendly, honest and most of all GOOD AT THEIR JOB. we have a 10 year old Viking range that continues to have a faulty circuit that burns out every 18-24 months (side note: don't buy a Viking). Wuerstlin's has repaired it each time and the cost is reasonable and they know how to get to the problem. This time, my daughter had a cooking birthday party scheduled and of course, the oven broke 1 week before. I panicked and called but the number on google was wrong and their website was down...I didn't have much time so I tried a few other places for Viking range repair. Long story short, the other guys were googling around, wanted to charge me 10X what Wuerstlin's did and had no idea what they were doing. The Wuerstlin's tech even called his colleague to swap and come over on the same day because he didn't have the part on his truck. All in all, great service, friendly guys and thank goodness still in business. Oh yeah and they found a new technical update released from Viking to alter the heating element configuration so the part would be less likely to fail again. Recently had my Viking stove repaired by Michael and it was a phenomenal experience from start to finish. When I first called I was connected to Don, who was very helpful in diagnosing the issue, ordering the parts needed, and creating and estimate of the cost. Once the parts came in I was scheduled for a few days after, service was quick and Michael was exceptionally pleasant, and then I was sent an invoice for exactly what was estimated. Outstanding service on our brand new dishwasher. Technician Michael arrived next day after the call on time, diagnosed problem and ordered parts. in the next few days as parts arrived Marty came, replaced defective control board and intake valve, tested unit, reinstalled dishwasher, aligned it with kitchen cabinets and tested again. Marty came out an hour after I called and even had the parts needed in his van. He was pleasant and very efficient. Wuerstlin charges $130, which is a bit steep, to just come diagnose but that was included in the final price. The phone service was also helpful. My Bosch oven was just out of warranty when I ran the self clean cycle and the interior glass shattered. Bosch referred me to Wuerstlin Appliance in Md. and they got Bosch to agree to replace the glass without an initial visit to evaluate, fit me in even when one of their techs got sick, and the technician who came answered all of my questions. I called and spoke with Don. I have an older Thermador range that he recommended a technician well versed in Thermadors come out. (I should note I had another company tell me they couldn't find the part and therefor couldn't help me.). He had to confirm availability as I live a far distance from them. He called back very quickly to say they could come the next day. The technician arrived at the appointed time, with a replacement part in hand! I want to say I had a good experience with this company. Everyone was polite and articulate. They come highly recommended and they did fix my appliance. Still, their systems are way out of whack. First, to come diagnose the problem, it cost 140 dollars (including tax). I recognize that gas, time, expertise, etc all cost money. Still, this was the highest of all the companies I called--and many of them put some of that money toward the cost of the repair. That $140 is purely diagnostic. The young man who diagnosed the problem said I would need a part to fix my appliance. This was around 10 am. The only thing at that point he could do was to write write up a slip and give it to his boss--at the end of the day no less--and the boss would call me. No estimate, no appointment, no plan and...no ordering of parts. The part could've been ordered right then and there, using a computer or phone--but instead it took another two days while the paper slip travelled back to the office, seemingly by horseback. By 3 pm the next day, with still no phone call to me, I finally called and the gentleman on the phone decided what would be done--and how much it would cost based on the now infamous slip. This was not the person who examined the appliance. My other beef is the process of calling you the morning of, between 8 and 8:30 to tell you your "window". I leave for work long before eight in the morning and I have an 1.5 hour commute. If you call at 8:30 and my window is 9 to 12--I'm not going to make home it in time for that--and I don't have a job that I can just leave suddenly or come in late witout notice. So I basically I have to take the day off no matter what. Also, since I don't know the wndow until the day of, I can't make appoitnments, meetings, etc. In other words, I have work obligations too (and I'm the paying customer).? These three things--scheduling, cost, and two days of processing/lack of authority from the repair person on site--will prevent me from returning. read more

I want to like Wuerstlin's. The work they did was fine. But their systems would prevent me from returning. First, I used Wuerstlin's because they were highly recommended. Second, that 140 dollar appointment is truly for diagnosing and nothing more. Once the repairman figured out the problem and what part I needed, his next step was to fill out a piece of paper. (Yes, paper). That paper goes back to the office at the end of the day where someone else will approve the work. My appointment was in the morning, so a day was lost right there. By 3 pm the next day I still had not heard anything so I called--some guy who had never seen the machine "approved the order". I lost two days in this process (so will you) when the part could have been ordered on the spot--with a computer or phone. Filling out paper and sending it back to the office at the end of the day is archaic and silly given the technology available. Third, no one likes the dreaded waiting window, but Wuerstlin's makes it worse by not calling you with your window until the morning of between 8 and 8:30! This works for um, I am guessing, almost no one and it is unclear why at the very least it could not be done the night before. In my own case, I am at my work at 8:30 and my office is more than an hour away from home. If my window was 9 to 12, I would be up a creek. Furthermore, we all have work and clients and obligations too. Calling on the morning of alone would prevent me from scheduling anything in advance--and would prevent me from returning to this company. read more

I would give them 10 stars if I could. Have had nothing but problems with a Viking Pro frig. Less than 3 years old and always freezing up. The last time we could not even open the freezer drawer until they got here. Viking uses Wuerstlins Appliance for all their repairs. And I will always use them too. Have spent 3 years with them now. They installed the frig and are not at fault for all the problems! The service men are fantastic, just fabulous. Lots of fun with great sense of humor. Use these folks always! They rock! read more

Exceptional Company! Had two different technicians because the second part had to be ordered and they completed different segments of the repair. Both were meticulous and very knowledgeable. They took their time and were very careful not to damage anything in the kitchen. He put a cloth on my granite to protect it before he put his tools down. The top grill was hard to get on and off and he even went further and took the piece off that was causing it to stick and adjusted it so it was easier to get off and on. The service tech was completely professional. He was here to replace a gasket on my 15 year old Asko dishwasher. He decided it did not need to be replaced. He made some minor adjustments so the door would close with a better seal. He made recommendations for a replacement dishwasher - when I need it. Super knowledgeable! Then, during his visit I noticed that a box I had put out for garbage collection blew away to the other side of my street. He left the appointment and put the box back on my curb. Repair man was very nice and came to fix my Viking convection mircowave we had to call Viking as it was still under warranty to get a part after that it was down hill The receptionist was nasty and rude and spoke to me in a very bad way I asked her to stop being so rude and she continued to raise her voice I told her I was I was not going to be spoken to like that and hung the phone up! I called yesterday after our Dacor microwave/convection oven died...or so we thought, and were prepared to purchase a new one. By chance I called Wuerstlin's and talked briefly to Marty, who asked a few questions, listened to my issues with the microwave, and suggested it could be door switch. Lucky me, the Virginia service was scheduled for today and the technician just left after first calling to give 3 hr time, then prior to leaving last job. Indeed, one of the four door switches and a fuse needed replacing. Terrific, prompt service. We have a year warranty and no charge if the technician needs to return. After trying to replace the broken glass on my oven door myself, I decided to call Wuerstlin's. They had repaired my Dacor oven once before and done a fine job. It turns out the part I needed was something they had to special order. Weeks went by, and the supplier kept pushing back the ship date. This was not Wuerstlin's fault, and each time I called to check on the part Wuerstlin's was very patient with me. They contacted the supplier on several occasions to try and get more specific information, but as Thanksgiving approached, it became obvious that their supplier would not have the part in time. Instead of giving up there, they found another supplier who could get them the part. Not only did they get the part on time, but Don came by yesterday and installed it. Needless to say, my Thanksgiving will be a lot less stressful now that my oven is up and running again! Thank you Wuerstlin's for going the extra mile and not giving up. Excellent service! read more

I would give them no stars if I could. These guys are a bunch of clowns. They were at our house no less than 6 times for water leaks in both our Viking refrig and freezer. They argued adamantly that water could not be leaking into our basement from the unit. We also incurred $810 in repairs charges including a new fan for the refrig. Problems still were not fixed on either unit. I took matters into my own hands. I come to realize they never took off the bottom metal grates of the fridge and freezer, which would have taken one minute. I did take them off and staring me right in the face was the ice maker hardware for the frezer that was leaking water and going through the hole in the floor for the line into our basement where water was pooling. I called Viking Corporate to complain and they sent out A-Nova (out of Virginia) on their own dime and these guys diagnosed and fixed not only the freezer issue but also the refrig issues. One last thing, to add insult to injury, the Wuerstlin repair guy broke the refrig tray that collects water and heads to the drain and instead of replacing it tried to put silicon gel around it to patch the damage. They may be OK for basic repairs as noted by some of the other reviews here, but if you have a complex Viking repair, call someone with alot more experience that won't give you the run around and pretend they know what they are doing when they don't. read more
