The name is correct! We came once before in October '25 and it was a good time but our second visit was absolutely horrible. Worst service I've seen at a place in years. The server complained non stop from the instant he came over, he said most of the menu wasn't actually available anymore - I think he called it the menu a farce. They have a variety of martinis on the menu that we asked about and he said the owner brought in a ton of awful syrups that he didn't even try first that are all supposed to flavor the martinis. The server kept going on and on to the point where we were wondering if we should just leave and cancel our whole order. He caught on eventually and made it seem like his cocktails were great, so we stayed for an app and a few drinks, but we were eyeing the door the whole time. I get wanting to be helpful if the customer asks a question, but I'm now depressed that I even know this place exists after hearing the server complain about literally everything there. read more

After a great first experience, we have tried to return twice, once in October and once today. Both time were within the hours advertised. Both times the door was locked. Speaking of wurst behavior, all the front of house staff disappeared when our food was ready. The kitchen staff rang the bell several times to the point where I contemplated if it would be ok if we just went up ourselves and got our plates. When ordering, the waiter seemed confused by our order; even though we were very clear and pointed to menu items, he still needed lots of clarification. Our Pierogi Benedict was pretty bland. The Mushroom truffle brat with vegan sausage came with a ton of mustard that kind of overpowered the sausage. Love that they have a vegan sausage, but this place was a miss. read more

I'm so glad I checked this place out. I called in my order for three dogs. The girl on the phone was very polite and quoted me like 10 minutes or my order to be made and it was ready by the time I picked it up. My ordered their Kielbasa, my son ordered the Andouille, and I ordered their Nashville Hot Chicken. It's a shame we all ordered from the "sausages" menu instead of trying one of their brats as well, but there's always next time. They were all really good and larger than I had expected. Definitely worth the price. The kielbasa came with sports peppers and grilled onions. It was supposed to come with Hazy IPA mustard but they must have forgot because there was not mustard on this sausage. The andouille came with onions, jalapeños and hot honey. The hot honey complemented the spiciness from the andouille sausage perfectly. My Nashville hot came with a fried chicken sausage, pickles, coleslaw and aioli. A very delicious and unique options but have definitely use like 10x more heat to justify the name "Nashville hot." We also ordered fried which were delicious as well. I had to giggle with glee after my first bite - I spent a great deal of my adulthood in Wisconsin and love brats as a result. I had a "deja vu" moment when I visited Wurst Behavior with my lovely wife today. Sure enough, I looked up the address on Elston just north of Irving Park and this location was formerly the Chilean restaurant called Rapa Nui, a place I had dined at around 15 years ago. While I do recall the Chilean venue was pretty good, I declare that this relatively new "sausage house and beer garden" is quite the neighborhood find. The menu proclaims that the sausages are "scratch made daily" - I had a hard time picking from the list of gourmet-sounding options. We chose well, and the photos do not sufficiently depict the substantial size (diameter and length) of the encased meats served on toasted buns that are presented to you like beautiful edible trophies. My Italian sausage with sweet peppers, hot giardiniera (I asked for it on the side - it is quite zingy), and parmesan cheese was delicious and quite filling. My love was head over heels regarding her decadently Loaded Brat with sauerkraut, grilled onions, bacon, cheddar cheese, green onions, sour cream and a cup of hazy IPA mustard. The bite she offered me was scrumptious too. The restaurant also has a full bar along with other interesting menu items to try. On our way to the airport, stopped in at Wurst Behavior because of its reputation and ratings. We weren't disappointed. The space is bright and spacious. Izzy (sp?) was at the bar and greeted us warmly like friends. We ordered to samplers to try each type of sausage. They were all delicious - spicy or smoky, crunchy and well accompanied by mustard and applicable toppings. We also had the potato pancakes and the pierogi and they were outstanding. Loaded brat!!! It was fully loaded with sourkraut, cheese, sour cream, and green onion....and only half made it in my belly. We started with potato pancakes and potato periogis, very tasty and fresh! We are perplexed with the average review score of Wurst Behavior, the food when compared to peer restaurants is 3-stars. We liked the potato pancakes, the street corn was on the Cobb and good. Before we ordered the 3-sausage platter, I stated that nobody can do chicken sausage right as it always ends up dry. Their chicken sausage was dubbed "Nashville Hot Chicken" and it was dry with an unfamiliar taste- I eat a hot chicken sandwich almost every week. The andouille sausage had a complex taste like we'd expect, it was pretty good. The bratwurst was a disappointment. I cook brats year round both on the skillet and on the grill, I've had brats from brat baths, I grew up eating bratwurst. The bratwurst taste wasn't there. Sure the bratwurst was large, but I'd rather have delicious. Perhaps a trifecta of mustards to go with each sausage is warranted instead of one mustard. Some of the French fries were soggy, some of the French fries were hard, some kind of tasted stale. Not sure what happened to the fries. The buns soaked up the sausage juices well without disintegrating. Fries and coleslaw were solid. No issues with service. Not terribly expensive. I walked in and was greeted by a nice woman who told me I can sit anywhere. The dining area was super chill and the music lended itself to sitting back and enjoying a drink and the fantastic food. They make all of the sausages in house. I ordered the Hot Dog and the Nashville Hot Chicken with an order of freshly cut fries. Everything is made to order. I received my food and decided to try the Hot Dog first, made with Angus Beef, and spice and smoked with pecan wood. This isn't your typical Chicago Style Hot Dog. It was mind blowing good. It has all the fixing as a normal dog, but arrived on a warm toasty bread. After one bite I was sold! The Nashville Hot Chicken sausage is made with chicken thighs and spices. One bite just made me close my eyes and enjoy every bite. It was mildly spicy with a great Cole slaw that didn't overwhelm the flavor of the sausage. I ordered the jalapeño cheddar sausage and my wife got the brat, both cans with homemade chips but we ordered the fresh cut fries to share as well. We also ordered the pretzel appetizer. So the homemade sausage is legit, and the portion was huge. The toppings on the jalapeño sausage really went well with it, and the bun held everything together nicely. The chips were good, but there was not a lot on the plate, and the fries were solid, but was also not a large portion. The pretzel was good, and the mustard was legit. So I would go here just do the sausage again, but the sides could've been better. Maybe it was because of the late time. read more

I loved the 2 sausage platter, however did not realize how big the links would be. The andouille was out of this world! Pickles, slaw and fries were fine. We had the best time! No reservations no fuss, just come on in and find a spot! We ordered the amazing potato & cheese pierogi, bratwurst, Mac n cheese, truffle fries, and zapiekanka. The zapiekanka and fries were good for what I was feeling. We didn't care for the Mac n cheese but that's okay. The pierogi are the star of the show no doubt, but I would have liked the onions to be more cooked preferably. I then ordered to go a traditional bratwurst for my husband who stated, "That is the best damn bratwurst I've ever had, we are going back!" Let's just say Wurst Behavior was on its WURST behavior when I ate there. I opened the door to the place and immediately got a whiff of what I thought was dog kibble/food. The worker at the front took 3 minutes to seat me because he was sitting on his phone. Finally, I got my food after having to call my waiter over. Look, I like a bratwurst as much as the next guy, but I left after tasting this slop. I bit into my simple bratwurst and my teeth hit something hard. This was our fourth time having their food. I must say that the sausages and sides we had previously were delicious and have recommended them to several friends. That being said, we ordered delivery through DoorDash a couple of nights ago. My husband got the hot kielbasa and I wanted a good hot dog so ordered the Chicago dog. His meal was fine. My hot dog was not a hot dog but a slim, dry sausage (like the Slim Jim's you buy at service stations). The bun and condiments were very good but it was very disappointing with the "hot dog" that was supposed to be the star of the show. Next day I called and told the man that answered of my disappointment and asked if they had run out of hot dogs the night before. He was on his WURST behaviour. Very condescending and RUDE. Telling me that, that is their hot dog and people always rave about it. If I had wanted sausage, I would have ordered it. I wanted a nice, plump, snappy hot dog and got ripped off. Get to end of the meal close out get the check. While I muse to the person that's been serving me why is there an $8.25 charge for lemonade on my bill?! I'm informed there are not free refills at the end of the meal. Pardon me but this taste like fountain ice tea+ lemonade. I think refills should be free!! Now if this has been some kind of special, artisan, hand crafted ice tea+ lemonade I could totally understand charging me for each separate one. Amazing how things happen sometimes. My wife and I were driving around, trying to decide what to eat, when we saw Wurst Behavior. They had a cool sign, so we checked out their menu and decided to try them. Little did I know that I was about to have the absolute best Philly cheesesteak that I've ever had in my life! It was one of those sandwiches that's hard to finish because you keep marveling at every bite. The meat was fantastic, they used the perfect amount of peppers and onions. You can get mushrooms too, but I asked them to leave those off since I don't like mushrooms. My wife's barbecue sausage sandwich was every bit as good. And don't even get me started on their pierogis! I've had my share of pierogis in my lifetime, but apparently these are how they're supposed to taste. I can't describe how good and how fresh literally everything tasted. And they were so nice when I picked it up! They've not even been open a month, but they really seem to have things running smoothly. The food is almost all scratch-made with sausages smoked in-house daily. Nice variety on the menu without being overwhelming. Great portion sizes for the price. Excellent service. We started with the hush puppies with comeback sauce (had to look that up, it's a Mississippi thing). These were excellent. Perfectly seasoned with a little spice. Couldn't stop eating them. The menu said 10 per order. They gave us 15 ha! We also got a side of mac and cheese. When it came out, it looked a little underwhelming. But it was deceivingly cheesy and delicious. Tons of smoked cheddar sauce. My wife got the Italian sausage with sweet peppers, hot giardiniera, oregano and parm. It was really good. The giard was hot. Like, really hot. Maybe a bit too hot for some? She also got a side of their house-made pickles. Also very good. I got the kielbasa with caramelized onions, sport peppers, and a hazy IPA mustard. Like everything else, it was top-tier. I really can't say enough good things about this place. Get this! truffle fries HH - these were bad. They came out really greasy and undercooked Brat HH sampler - half a sausage, some onions and a piece of bread Kielbasa HH sampler - same as above Sausage was excellent though and bread was unexpectedly so good! The platters looked good too I think the HH sausage sampler menu wording could be more thought out since it's kind of confusing which sausage you can or can't get.
