My friend moved to a new apartment/location. She could not get connectivity even after the online support. A technician was sent to look into the issue. He wrote a report and left. Nothing has been done so far. She has been in the apartment for a month now with no connectivity and even customer support are unapologetic making her believe its her fault for moving to a new apartment. If you want an honest review here it is. If i were you i would stay far away from them as a service provider. Not only was the service horrible and down every month "due to outages", my connection was also throttled. You will have the worst experience with costumer service as their business practices are sketchy and unethical. I called to cancel my services and had a verbal agreement 3 times that it was canceled, but I would get charged for the service up until the end of the year. You will get frequent calls from the service provider to upgrade and advertise products, if for ever reason you agree to any equipment with your package that's free. Know that nothing is free and you'll probably get charged extra monthly, and they don't tell you that you have to return anything. Horrible communication across the board and a horrible experience. If you want to spend hours talking to customer service and being transfered to their "debt collector", go ahead don't say I didn't warn you. read more

I can't even explain how much I hate xfinity. Thanks God I personally don't have to have it. I have had to deal with them with my guardianship clients for years and they are horrible. This latest one (I'm actually on hold now) is just so irritating. My client lives in assisted living. She has cable included to a point. She wanted more channels so I called and said that we wanted whatever extended package they had so she could get movies. We were told she was signed up and a modem was coming. Got it and had chosen to set it up ourselves but it was a total hassle trying to do it and calling in. Won't make that mistake again. Then she still was not getting channels she should have. We called, were told that they had sent the wrong modem. This time we said that we wanted them to come out and set it up. Then channels were still not in that she wanted (more of them but not all.) So I call in again and say that we had asked for all the movie channels. Was told that they are an extra charge. I said fine, we had not said we wouldn't pay, and to sign her up for every movie channel there was. So we finally got those. But then there were channels like TMC and Nat Geo Wild she still was wanting. But they said they were subscription channels. I'm not sure what part of give her every channel you have they have not understood. So today I call to get those two channels for her. The stupid auto phone thing was refusing to get me to a live person, kept trying to get me to do things online but it is just too hard to remember different sign ins for multiple clients for multiple things. It would ask me if it could text me, I would say no, then it would ask if there was anything else it could help me with, I would say customer service, it would say first what are you calling about, I would say add a channel, and it would start all over again with the wanting to text. Finally I just refused to say anything other than customer service. Then that lady says she should be getting Nat Geo, I said she is not. She says well is she not getting Nat Geo Wild. I say I don't know, give her every Nat Geo you have. Then she says, that TMC is in a different upgraded tier. Again, I had said from the very beginning to give her everything they offer. So I say we don't care, just give her whatever gives her the channels. OMG! I hate them. read more

Forget the word "trust" when dealing with Comcast. When I agreed to a two year contract, I was quoted a firm monthly fee. I spent quite some time with the original sales agent clarifying that we were talking about the bottom line total monthly amount that would be on my bill for duration of contract. TOTAL amount I would pay. My bill went up six months later. I contacted Comcast about the increase. 1 1/2 hours later, no success. Got the entire spiel about fees and taxes could increase my bill. I explained that my promise from the agent was for a total monthly amount. The words "fees, taxes" were never mentioned when originally agreeing to the contract. The agent I contacted recently did not dispute any of this, and admitted "the fees and details are often not discussed..." when quoting a contract offer. So, totally no success and 1 1/2 hour wasted. By the way, I did review my "signed contract" (one of 9 legal documents in my account. This document does not show any monthly agreed amount. I does in fact state that taxes and fees could increase. read more

Mom is 96 and needed assistance changing her xfinity tv service from one address to another.3 days prior to her move we called xfinity to cancel service at her old yet current address. And add service to her new unoccupied address, with the effective date 3 days out. The operator agent was most helpful and assured us the change would take place. Upon moving in it seemed the service had been switched to her new address as requested. Then a day later it failed to function. I assumed it was a bleed over of the last residents service and had been cut. I then called Cfinity to ask why the service had not been provided at the new address. The agent refused to locate a supervisor to discuss this customer service failure. Mom being 96 needs assistance making this change and should not have had to deal with this twice. The agent finally after spelling moms last name over and over, speaking clearly and loudly still failing to get the name correct,.. unbelievable!! Then admitted well, the new address is indeed in the system and it shows that service is active at the new location. That should have been end of story, but no, the agent then said she needed to put me on hold to check something. 10 minutes in and I discontinued the call having heard what I needed. I have spent several hours on the phone with customer service today, 2 out of 3 were pleasant. My issue is the fact that it took 2.5 hours and 15 restarts before being escalated to their 2. Once I got there the professional continued to go through the exact same steps, coming out to the same conclusion. I stayed calm as it was not her fault but she then started to get snappy with me when i did not understand her asks and asked her to repeat the question. I have not moved in 4 years and the boxes have not moved either, we just cleaned and double checked all of our wiring. We pay over $200 a month, they finally got me an appointment tomorrow but I am very disappointed in how this was handhelds today. I even upgraded and signed a new contract, I will be reviewing my options. I hope this review gets to the right people and they look into this. The error codes come up while trying to watch Netflix. Absolutely the WORST customer service. I've tried 3 days to speak to someone regarding my cable. I pay for the discovery channel. I am able to watch episode 1 and 2. But then I have to pay for episode 3! what is that!!! I pay for it!!!!! Straight up all a bunch of crooks. Overpriced cable and internet when none of them even try to fix the issue. Transfer on the phone to 4 different " tech groups" because I always have the wrong support line. Meanwhile I'm speaking to Jamaica, then India, then China in one call before I want to rip my hair out. Then call again. 3 days. NOTHING. Definitely canceling and switching to another provider. What this criminal organization REALLY does for you is, Take Your Money with false advertisements. Gives you a "timeline" of when your "deal" is good then raises your bill to obscene amounts from the already over-priced rate you were first given when it "expires." Then once you have the service you CAN'T WATCH certain shows that are supposedly "ON DEMAND" without not only paying an additional fee, but for programs that you missed in playing real time when they were scheduled, in having to wait until the re-runs aired again instead of being able to instantly watch it "ON DEMAND!!" This shiesty company is a joke & for those of us who use it are the punchline every month we give these thieving a-holes our money! They are the worst. We were basically forced to get their internet+tv package, since they would bump up the price if we went internet only. The cable box is collecting dust as we haven't even set it up. I feel bad for those in their call centers since they likely have to put up with a lot of bull, but it still takes me hours to get through when I have a service call. After 4 1/2 years with Comcast, I moved outside their "service" area. They charged me a $160 Earlt Termination Fee - after 4 1/2 years?! I called a month ago for help. She said they would get back to me. I heard back 2 weeks later, from their collection agency. I called back, asked to speak to a supervisor. They'd call me back within a half hour. I upgraded my plan from 100 mbps to the 200 mbps plan. For nearly a week I had 200 mbps at times. I was amazed. Then a "service outage" happened, and now I'm maxed out at 35 mbps no matter when time I test it. Such a scam. They keep testing my equipment. I've been a Comcast customer for 10 years. Every couple years, sometimes every couple nonths, they dramatically raise my bill for no reason. I always have to jump through many of their hoops to get my bill back down where it belongs. I suspect many people aren't willing to do this; simply put up with Comcast stealing from them. Today (June 13) I went on Comcast Chat to terminate my service due to a pending move. After wasting my time for 15 minutes "Mary" told me I couldn't terminate by using Chat, I'd have to phone a representative. Looking through a couple dozen other reviews I see this bad service is very common. I'd be embarrassed to work for this company. My new home will have satellite TV. Comcast offers financial relief to people during COVID, only to rebill them a couple months later with all the back amounts plus penalties. Beware of Comcast lies. Then, they cannot narrow it down on the day of the appointment to say a 6 hour window. BUYER BEWARE: If I had known then what I know now in less than 3 months as an Xfinity customer I would have held out for a better option. Free wifi at the public library would be better than signing on with this company! I had all services installed WIRE and all and in 8 weeks from install, my internet is disconnected! They said they disconnected it due to a problem with my line that could effect the grid. So they sent a Tech out. He said it was the WIRE that was "bad". He installed a new wire (replacing the 8 weeks new one). I was charged $100 for the initial install and another $70 for the replacement of the "bad" wire. And when I contested the charge I was told (after a flawless representation of what "awful customer service" looks like) that had the wire been deemed "bad" within 30 days of install it would have been no charge for the very next install. (I'm guessing this new line will go bad just outside 30 days as did the last one). Oh and the customer service reps line went out during my session Imagine that?!? lol seriously! SMH Basically it boils down to this, Xfinity cable lines apparently only last about 8 weeks or so. You'll likely get charged every few months $70 for a tech to correct the last ones work. I will start this off by saying, if you are tired of Xfinity, give WaveG a try. Xfinity just massively dropped the ball and decided to cancel my service instead of transfer the move as I had requested over A WEEK ago and left me high and dry without internet while I needed to work from home (not to mention the fact that they implemented data caps in the middle of a global pandemic when EVERYONE needs the internet). I called WaveG in a panic and they were able to just flip a switch and do what Xfinity couldn't do after chatting with five different Xfinity reps. I was able to get gigabit internet for the same price Xfinity was charging me for 200 mb/s. On top of the criminal data caps, Xfinity also had multiple service outages in my area in the summer with zero notice or warning. I was disconnected from several virtual meetings thanks to them. I am definitely going to spread the word about my god awful experience with Xifinity (which I know I share with many others) and the awesome packages being offered through WaveG since they are a lot more deserving of people's service than Xfinity/Comcast. If you want faster service for the same price as Xfinity, if you want to talk to a REAL person whenever you have issues and not have to wait over an hour on hold to do so, if you don't want to get disconnected while you are working from home because Xfinity decides to do their "maintenance" on a weekday when everyone is working from home; then DO NOT choose Xfinity. Go with Wave G or, well, literally anyone else. Xfinity does not care about their customers. If they did, they wouldn't try to profit during a pandemic by implementing data caps to their customers and drop people from their accounts without any prior authorization or notice when you just want to transfer your service to a new address. Unless you are a masochist (I'm not judging) that enjoys getting charged for slow speeds and met with horrible customer service whenever you have an issue, don't choose Xfinity. WaveG is offering $60 a month for GIGABIT internet in select areas. Spread the word. read more

New look, same old unethical company. I renegotiated my service in February after Comcast/Xfinity did as they always do and increased the monthly price for just internet to well over $100 a month, without consulting me. I only need internet but to get a reasonable price I was encouraged to accept a bundle, which included basic cable. I told them I had no need for anything other than internet but was assured I would not be charged for the box they said I must take, or the service. I said, "So it appears we must play this game each year. You increase my fees, I threaten to stop service, you cut me a new deal." The refreshingly honest reply from the agent was, "Yes, that's how it works." Only problem is that isn't how it worked. All that was done in late February and last month's $48 bill increased to $81 this month. This is a second home, we're not even there, the cable box is not connected and I'm not paying for service I don't need. Just got off the phone with an agent reading a script which must assume they are dealing with the average idiot. I may be average, I may be an idiot, but I am not both. It was clear Xfinity/Comcast assumed I would tire and accept some $80 monthly charge that would, no doubt, creep up as it always does. I didn't, we're back down to $60 until we're not and have to go through the whole obnoxious process again. Note to Comcast/Xfinity: Why do I not need your TV or phone service? Because, as you well know, I am among the growing number of cord-cutters who are no longer willing to put up with overly expensive service and lousy customer service. Xfinity has the worst customer service there is. My cable TV keeps failing and I cannot get any help. All I can do is go through troubleshooting on the phone. It is impossible to get an agent or service tech out I need help with the equipment and pay $225./Mo for TV & internet. I do not use phone service..in this I pay to rent equipment and do not get any help. Do not use their service. If I knew how to get rid of it I would. My one year contract is to end 12/06/2021 so I called in advance to inform them of my cancelation due to expenses. Xfinity makes you pay in advance and my bill is in great standing. In fact I'd been a customer since 2014. November 16, 2021 (yesterday) 21 days before my contract expired my service was stopped. I called them to inquire why it was turned off and was told they made a mistake to turn it off so soon but that I needed to verbally agree by text to pay a new amount going forward of $195 and then they could turn it back on through Dec 6th. WHAT?? So since I didn't agree to the new amount they turned it off and it's now canceled. Since it was turned off without my authorization I wasn't able to watch my son's out of state wedding that I was unable to attend due to a health issue. The worst! I was a customer for over 15 years because of laziness.. I finally left when I had fiber optic as an option. Fast forward six months later, a storm knocked both Comcast's line and Centurylink's line off the side of my house. Both lines were a good 8ft off the ground and hanging over the street. I called them over five times!! The garbage truck snagged it and brought 3ft off the ground.... luckily, Seattle City Light was driving by and safely removed the line. And Centurylink discarded their trash. Comcast never showed up. Never called. If I could give a review with NO stars I would. Tried to get Xfinity for over 2 weeks. Multiple phone calls daily, even with a supervisor and NO ONE could fix the issue. We were told the main line from the house to the street was cut and a new line needed to be dropped by the underground crew. They have never been able to get anyone out here to fix the line. Customer service would not allow us to speak to supervisors and ensured us they would "fix" the problem. It was NEVER resolved, although we keep receiving phone calls wanting to come out to check that the and internet is working, which we don't have and have never had. Why is it so difficult to get a crew to fix it. We set our service up with DirecTV and CenturyLink. They promptly came out, dropped and new line that same day and we had services. Apparently when you call their billing department you are ACTUALLY calling a call center in Mexico (Confirmed by their "resolution management" agent.) I don't know about anyone else, but I have a REAL PROBLEM that my billing information is handled out of the country. Being as I have had accounts and credit cards used fraudulently in the past this issue alone is enough to make me look for another provider. I just spent 30 minutes on the phone between the incompetent call center employee who charged my credit card incorrectly, hung up on when I asked for a supervisor and me trying to get someone in charge back on the phone. Their response was a simple "Oops" then attempted to offer me a premium channel for free...I HATE calling them anyway, why would I want them to put a premium channel on for free for 6 months so I have to then CALL THEM AGAIN after that free period to cancel it? ESPECIALLY when we clearly don't want premium channels, otherwise we would ALREADY HAVE THEM. I know you're thinking "You could have just paid online"...Right? Wrong. Don't use their WIFI, they just limit your speed from time to time and ask you to reboot your modem. If I could give them a 0 I would, the internet and phone is fine but their customer service is some of the worst I've ever seen. They screwed up and made two accounts under my name. Things happen, I waited on hold for an hour for the person to tell me I needed to talk to someone else, on hold for another hour. She says she got it figured out and I needed to give tech my modem number either now (waiting on hold for 30+ more minutes) or I could call back in the middle of the night when hold times aren't long. So I called back and the guy starts off by telling me he wants to fix my problem so I stop calling them after he tells me I still have two accounts and not one, then tells me I don't have internet and it's all disconnected. I tell him I do have it and during this he starts repeating with no breath between the sentences "who did you talk to? Who did you talk to? Who did you talk to?" Over and over while I'm trying to explain what I'm told. I finally tell him he needs to stop repeating that and I spoke to multiple people so I'm not sure. He then asks for the modem CM MAC #, so I give it to him. He tells me that isn't attached to any account and acts like I'm being db - I tell him I know, I told him AT THE BEGINNING OF THE CALL I needed to attach my modem number (that I own) to the account. He then tells me I have to talk to someone else because I don't have internet (despite paying them and using the internet). The first people who apparently didn't do anything were very nice at least and despite being a little tearful because I was stressed about a lot of other things on top of this, but the last guy was flat out patronizing, condescending and rude. I regret switching my phone service to them, id rather pay more to Cricket. But now I'm in it along with my internet. I'll be looking into a new provider soon. read more
