If you have another option, I strongly encourage you to take it over Comcast. I called to have services established because it was my only option in my area and I HAD to have home internet in order to start a work from home position. The first technician came out on a Thursday to install and refused to do so because he needed a hand written letter from my landlord stating it was ok to drill holes in the wall. Ok, I get that, but at no point during my conversation to schedule the installation appointment did anyone ever tell me this. While the technician was here he messed with something on the tv which made my dish go out with my direct tv. He did nothing to fix this and just said sorry and left. Not only did I have no internet when he left but I had no tv either. I was supposed to start my new job the following Monday. The next available appointment date was not for 2 1/2 weeks. I was told that they would push my install through and someone would be out here by Sunday at the latest. I was not confident in this but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. That was my mistake. I got a n automated call that afternoon that they would be at my house the following morning between 8-10 am. At 10:30 I got another call from someone to reschedule my MISSED appointment. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was transferred 8 times. 8 TIMES!! Having to re tell my story each time and provide them with information to confirm my identity. I was finally transferred to someone in the billing department that attempted to help me. This is ironic as I didn't even have a bill yet as no service had been established. She said she was sending an email to dispatch and someone would call me back to tell me when they would be here. I did not go to my last day of work because I was under the impression the matter would be resolved that day. Nobody every called or showed. I spent the entire weekend at home....waiting....still nothing. Finally TUESDAY they came out and the technician said he didn't need to see a letter.... He did the install and left. He told me good luck with complaining as they don't care. I had purchased a bundle that included internet, cable, and home phone because it was less than a bundle without a phone. I was told on the initial phone call that I would not need to have an actual home phone. I tried to use the services on my tv but they had to be set up with my xfinity account and in order to verify my identity I had to call them from my home phone. I was told on the customer service chat that I had to go out and buy a home phone to call them from to verify my identity. Shouldn't the phone I called them from to set up the account be enough verification? The technician didn't even install a phone line. My experience with Comcast thus far has been nothing but SUCKTASTIC. I am tempted to move just to have another option for an internet provider. If you have another option then I strongly recommend that you take it. Don't give them your business. The technician said so himself.....they don't care. read more

**1/5 STARS - AVOID THIS STORE LIKE THE PLAGUE!** I recently had the misfortune of visiting the Xfinity store on Ponce De Leon and encountering the worst customer service experience of my life. I've been a loyal customer for 5 years, with no contract for my home internet and a paid-off iPhone line. I went to the store to inquire about upgrading my plan, as I already own an iPhone and wanted to take advantage of a promotion they were offering. Rodney, the "agent" who assisted me, was completely unhelpful and dishonest. He told me that if I ported in a new number, I could buy a new iPhone and get a yearly service plan at a discounted rate. I did just that, paying for the phone and expecting the promotional rate. But when my first bill arrived, it was significantly higher than expected. I contacted customer service, only to be told that it was an "error" and they would credit me for the overcharge. But here's the kicker: they didn't stop there. The next month, my bill was still higher than expected, and I had to contact customer service again to dispute the charges. And guess what? They claimed it was another "error" and would credit me again. But by this point, I was fed up and asked for a full refund, since they were clearly not honoring our agreement. But no, Rodney and Xfinity refused to take responsibility for their mistakes. They blamed me for the issues and told me I was stuck with the phone (which I had already paid for). Can you believe it? It's like they were trying to rip me off from day one. To make matters worse, I've since removed my home internet and original line from Xfinity, but they're still sticking me with a high bill for lying to me and failing to honor their promises. Unbelievable. Avoid this store like the plague! Don't waste your time or money on these dishonest salespeople and their broken promises. Comcast- 1. The service simply doesn't work all the time. The internet and TV randomly stop working entirely for as long as a week at a time. When I am lucky enough to actually get to talk to a representative on the phone, they wind up telling me to buy a new modem. I have a bran new modem that works fine in other locations, and I have the same intermittent problems with service using other modems. And how do you explain TV not working by the modem? They are idiots! 2. My bill is higher than they promised me. Over the phone, they said my service would be $55 per month, including all taxes and fees. They even sent me a confirmation email clearly itemizing my future bills, stating that the cost of services would be $45 and the taxes and fees would be $10. But on the actual bill, they are charging me $55 for services and $10 for taxes and fees and they refuse to own up to it. This is not the 1-time installation charge that I'm referring to. 3. Customer service sucks!- try calling them on the phone right now- try calling and see that no matter what you do you cannot talk to a real person. The automated system keeps running in a loop! Even when you press all the right numbers to make them think you're trying to buy new service, they won't even talk to you. Imagine what happens when you are trying to call them out on screwing you! I have had intermittent internet problems with COMCAST since we moved into our home over a year and it is getting worse. I have innumerable techs who all tell us the same thing. The problem is at the street and we have to refer the ticket to a Maintenance or Network Tech. Those techs do not talk to customer so I have no idea if they ever come out while I'm at work. The last time a Tech came out; Monday 12/23/13 he told us he would put in a "Network Ticket" and that the Network tech could show up at any time that day or the next depending on outages, availability, etc. Late afternoon on 12/24 my husband called to check on the ticket and was told there was no ticket. I was not surprised because I believe that rarely, if ever, follow-up tickets were placed over the past year. My father has worked for Comcast as a Maintenance Tech for almost 40 years. I grew up with a bucket truck in my driveway and was taught how to run cable throughout and entire house at age 10. I need a Tech with a signal meter, enough wire to run a new a new line from the street to the house without drilling thru my @#$* wall like the last A-hole Tech did, and whatever connectors are necessary. We pay $120 to $200/month. We have paid for wiring and rewiring WITHOUT being told about the "Maintenance Plan" for change/month. Comcast has absolutely the worst customer service. The phone reps are misinforming customers on prices and when you go into the store, the reps apologize and tell you that you were misinformed. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. For Comcast to be in the Communication industry, their representatives provide a very clear view of their inability to deliver good service. I spoke on the phone with 5 different reps today. Two of the reps Genie and Edward hung up on me because I asked to speak to a supervisor. When I called back, I got Representative Chris, in which I informed him that I was now calling back for the 4th time after leaving the Comcast Store and being hung up on after I requested to speak to a supervisor. I also advised him that I would be completing the survey calls for each phone call with the reps I had and writing a letter to their Corporate office. Chris put me on hold for 5mins and came back and said that his stupidvisor was in a meeting and he would be resolving my complaint. To no avail, he was unable to resolve the issue I was having. When I got home, I found my cable did not work and I received 3 Comcast calls with "dead air". None of the survey calls came. Imagine that! Absolutely horrible customer service! read more

It is almost a waste of time to write this review right? but i just can't believe these guys are still in business and their directors not being arrested. Someone here said they are worst than drug dealers. I am usually a very calm person but can't agree more...so here goes... I signed up for their promotion of 29.99 for 25 mb internet, HBO go access, and free basic cable + $50 gift card. Great i know...till first account is $80. I actually took screenshots of the offer, order, and confirmation page (did online) so thought well a mistake and gave them a call. I have since spent over 5 hrs on the phone with basically anyone at Comcast from customer service, executives, customer solutions, etc. Last one was Janel from customer solutions who swore she has my back and will solve it...the only thing i got was another bill (and no gift card of course :-)). Recently received my bill from Comcast. I was taken aback after seeing how a $129.00 bill jumped to $170.00. When my contract expired last month I was contacted by Comcast to see if I would like to renew. I said after hearing all the packages sure give me the $129.00 plan. The bill did indeed say $129.00 then there were all these add on charges. $13.00 for dvr box $10 for this $5 for that when it was totaslled it was $170.00! Amazinging isn't it that they get away with this. Call to customer service was a joke. Comcast needs to be restructed or the elite beaurocrats who allow these frandchises need to start bargaining for better deals. And speaking of deal why the hell can't we simply pick what we want instead of these packages.? read more

Buyer beware I am wrongly being charged a cancellation fee on Comcast internet only account. I had multiple issues with service. I made mutliple attempts to change/upgrade my service but was offered internet and TV or phone bundles of which I had no need. When I called to cancel service I was transferred to multiple different team members and finally offered a "deal". I got handle by Comcast and don't think they should treat clients or customers with so little value. I was also deceived by Comcast as stating my plan was not a contract, only to find out a "verbal agreement" has a large penalty that sounds just like a contract. This was never disclosed. I had a Horrible experience with the tech-support team. I requested my service to be transferred to my new location and the Agent insured me that my order was placed in the service will be running shortly. Unfortunately my service was not transfer and the call again by the agent with no call back either. I spoke with two of the agents one of them transfer me after waiting for 15 minutes to talk to him. The second one ended the call without solving the problem. Now I still don't have any connection to the Internet. I also used chat service after two I had the worst experience by phone from the tech support team. Even the chat was ended after he told me wait three minutes to solve it. Comcast is a terrible company. Upon installation, they did not "flip a switch", so the service was not installed correctly. They charged me $60 to come back out to my house to install the services correctly. They have billed me for movies that have not been watched in my home, and have refused to take the charges off. If you actually speak with a representative, they are not helpful, place you on hold for extended amounts of time, and sometimes even disconnect the call. The service itself is shoddy at best. xfinity has become one of the worse companies to deal with. They offered Internet upgrade.....The upgrade....."All my services (Internet, TV, and phone) were out of order for over 10 days. Terrible service. Terrible Support, terrible billing, terrible contacts......just damn TERRIBLE. It's time to make a change to other services. The absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. They don't make anything easy, whether you are trying to upgrade, downgrade, cancel or start your services with them. Their prices are ridiculous. The only reason we even went with Comcast is due to the area we live in, we have the option of comcast or satellite. I tried everyday for a few weeks to get a business account because of the amount of data I was using and could not get anyone on the phone or anybody to call me back. i do get mail about three times a week wanting me to get their business class internet but there is no one to help. This was my second call to Comcast about damage to the cable that runs to my home. The agent I spoke with told me that the service supervisor would have to call me 4 days later to discuss a service appointment with me?? REPEAT NOT SERVICE BUT TO DISCUSS SERVICE. How is it, in a city like Atlanta, that ALL of the TV/Internet providers are lousy?? Comcast has outages in my area about every other day.. this is not an exageration! AT&T's model is ok, but the internet is very slow, no fiber in my area of INTOWN Atlanta and the wifi tv connection fails about once a week, requiring a reboot, Google was just a tease and DIrect TV seems to have the worst ratings ever. And he initiated all of that, I didn't even ask!
