I would have to say one of the worst customer services that I've ever dealt with went in to try to transfer my line to my girlfriends account. The gentleman sold us a watch because he needed the commission for that day and the watch we could not use I spent 10 hours on the phone trying to get the watch to work came back into the store twice talked to two different people plus the manager and they said they couldn't get it to work and they couldn't transfer my line. I wasted 10 hours of my day.. at the end of the day I finally went to a Hillsboro store and they fixed everything in 20 minutes. I wanna say thank you for wasting my time and they say that they're an authorized dealer store from Comcast. Arrived early afternoon on a weekday. Observed a gentleman sitting outside the door in a mobile cart for a few minutes waiting for someone to open the door for him as I parked. Assisted the man, as no employees were opening it. Greeted promptly by an associate & put on a waiting list for assistance. Wait time was about 10-15 mins. I have visited the Beaverton store twice to request service; they "set up a ticket " on their system and promised to have a technician contact me. It has now been more than six months and no contact. So, this review will primarily be for the location and staff; Not the Customer Service issues over the phone that most folks complain about. I too have had my ups and downs and disappointments with Comcast/Xfinity over the years, but I feel things have somewhat improved. Although their services have been getting way to dang expensive over the years just for internet service alone. But it's pretty much the only "more reliable" choice in my neighborhood. Here's a short take about this location: ~ I needed to adjust my account online, but wasn't satisfied with the changes or alternative offers. After unsatisfactory searchers, I figured talking to an actual Xfinity rep at a store would be better as they would know the latest deals, versus me making account changes online. So I had set up an appointment with this store without any problems. ~ Showed up here for my appointment, and was helped by Christian R. He was helpful and really patient with cancelling our current service, and setting us up for an upgrade. He basically set us up with what we had requested, as well as the current best options. All hassle free, thanks Christian! ~ Dropping off and returning equipment was also no issue. The cordial representative stationed near the entrance scanned my items, gave me a receipt, done! Overall, this store was clean and new. Very modern and stylish! If I have any major issue with service or equipment, I'll likely just book an appointment with this store for some superb "in-person" customer service. read more

I feel like whenever one is dealing with a cable company and/or Utility Company ones expectations are low. This is why when our cable box was on the fritz and my husband asked if I would go to Xfinity to get a new one I was less than thrilled. I am pleased to say I walked out of there having had one of the smoothest experiences I have had in recent memory dealing with a cable/or utility company. Due to COVID you had to reserve a time slot. I arrived a couple of minutes before my appointment and there was a sign on the door stating they were at max capacity and requested that you wait outside. The moment someone exited a staff member waived me. I told him my issue, and within a few minutes I was on my way with my new cable box. read more

We were told that we would receive a call within 24-48 hours regarding a credit. Nothing. Called again on 9/3. Told that the credit had been issued that day for $500. I HATE internet service providers like we all do, for a multitude of reasons. I have stumbled on some financial hardships over the last few months but still need internet to work from home. I tried to call Xfinity about a month ago and was transferred all over the globe just to be told that they could only save me $20/mo and that my Internet speed would decrease significantly. I came to the Hillsboro location to see if I could get some real help. Enter Sam Goodwin. Sam asked me what services I needed, if I could eliminate anything, etc. he was able to help reduce my bill and keep my current internet speed. He was so kind and compassionate to my situation, which I wasn't expecting from a monster like Xfinity. Sam was exceptionally helpful and I am so grateful. read more

Xfinity comcast store on 185th Ave. in Hillsboro We have been a customer of Xfinity for over 25 years. And after 25 years we said enough is enough and it's time to go elsewhere. The Customer Service at the 185th Ave in Hillsboro is the worst. Absolutely the worst. If you ask to speak to a manager they are ALWAYS in a meeting. They are never available to speak to a customer. The employees are told by the managers that they are not available and that they are going to a meeting. Once they switched a cable box for us and all of a sudden it would freeze and then you would have to turn everything off and then back on. I sent an email and the rep told us the problem is on our end and they can't help us. We went to the Tigard Xfinity location and they were nicer and we told them our problem and theylesoned. We asked them the number for the area manager. We left about a dozen messages and no call back We went back to the Tigard location the manager said the area manager will call within an hour. She called couple hours later and I told them our problem and she seemed like she could care less. I told her the 185th location manager is to busy to talk to anyone. The area manager wanted to setup a meeting with the three of us. I called the area manager that I would like that. Left couple messages and no call back. So because of the store manager and area manager we moved on. Seriously the worst customer service around. Even called the 1800 Xfinity to talk to their managers about our treatment and NO luck at all m No supervisor around to take customer calls. I don't think Xfinity really cares about customer complaints. They just like MONEY. At the store level they can't help you either. They are all in a meeting. read more

People at this store did try to help my husband, but just like myself they were unable to provide us with a working phone. The insurance coverage we had paid $21.29/a month for through Assurance is worthless. We filed a claim. Paid a $99 deductable. That was July 17th, 2020. Today is August 25th and my husband STILL WAS WITHOUT A PHONE, PLUS THEY COULD NOT EVEN PROVIDE US WITH A TIME LINE TO GET A PHONE. My husband who is an essential worker, out of massive frustration, bought a new burner phone, transferred his number and QUIT XFINITY! Does our bill reflect this change, NO! No refunds were credited to our acct. as I arranged for yesterday were applied. I will be filing a Better Business Bureau complaint against both Xfinity and Assurance. I have been a long time user of comcast. Recently moved to a downtown apartment and tried unsuccessfully to transfer service. 5 visits to the store in person At least 5 attempts to call and talked to a rep. Tried chat online several times. Sat waiting for two confirmed appointments and no technician showed up.. had to take off work to do so. After a week plus of trying to get service, we went to Wave-G for internet and TiVo for streaming. Works great and less expensive and very responsive service. Worst experience I've ever had with any company. With other services entering the market and increased competition-they deserve to lose business. read more

A big surprise about how my modem exchange took place. I was pleased with the results. I have had a kinda like/mostly depise relationship with Comcast. Seems everyother transaction or encounter with them is great. So, my internet had been dropping kind of on a recurring basis. It's got me a little worried at critical times working from home. It took me a few tries to get their attention and get thru to an actual person. Shout out to Aubry in Houston, TX to get me sorted out with an exchange. She had trouble finding an open store. I kept feeding her city names, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tigard, Milwaukie, 'til we found one. I approached this store in my car and saw people in masks in line, I thought "oh no" how long is this going to take? I was on my lunch hour. They were very expedient, had tables set up outside and gave clients instructions on what to do. The employees were equipped with masks, some had gloves, and IPADS in their hands. I was able to step inside the store, I felt a chosen one. The employee that helped me immediately complimented me on my track jacket. So I had a laugh with her and we had a little chat. She gently reminded me I had to step back on the X - while she looked up my account. I was handed a new modem within a minute, all set. Wow! I was stunned about how quickly I was in and out of this store. All they asked for was my telephone number. I had the modem for two days. Twice my internet dropped, but I thought it was an improvement overall. So I returned the old (former) one, got in a short line again outside before the tables and was instructed to place my modem on the rack. All they had to do was scan the item and I was done. I clarified that I wouldn't be charged for those two days where I held onto two modems at once. She acknowledged and reassured me that I wouldn't be. Now, my next billing willl be the test. Anyway, very grateful for this positive experience at this retail location. Good employees and great set-up during the COVID-19 crisis. read more

Last time I needed to exchange a defective remote-45 minutes. The good, they just exchanged it... Today, I wanted to buy an iPhone outright, paying cash. "We can't do that with out the primary account person" So much for a surprise gift. I'm not asking to add it to the monthly bill. I asked that a manager OK this, since I'm paying full retail price. Ever since I got xfinity mobile in April, they've overcharged me every month. Paid for unlimited data for 3 months that NEVER was any data. I had to use public WiFi. Resulted in account being fraud for hundreds of dollars. People stealing my info when I had to use public WiFi. Freddys, target. Had to close checking account. I couldn't even get data, whenever I was more than 3 feet from modem! Kept calling, nothing changed! Went to store 2 times for them to fix my phone for data. Neither time did or were able to fix phone. Had to take to best buy. They did network reset. Took 3 mins and working. Said employees should've known how to reset network. Xfinity mobile employees have no idea how to fix your phone. No training of employees on how to troubleshoot your phone! Had to file claims with BBB. They refunded charges, until complaint was closed. They recharged me for all the credits they gave. Horrible phone, service, networks. Don't sign up for a year! I visited this location to return a modem. There is a parking lot so finding parking was easy. I was able to get in and out of the store in less than 5 minutes. This is not typical. Returning a modem does not require any assistance. I just needed a staff person to scan the modem and hand me a receipt. read more

Went in this afternoon to trade in my modem. Got checked in and was promptly called to the desk. As the associate was talking to me he instantly started to try to convince me to change my service. I was only there to exchange my broken modem. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed a small messaging screen. On the screen was written in big capital letters "SELL THIS MAN XD!!!" This place needs to realize that they instantly lose all credibility when they care more about making a sale than the needs of the customer. The next 10 minutes were, sell, sell, sell. When I said no, he went to his supervisor, lowered the price, but continued to try to sell me an upgrade. I left. No sale. Be aware of the high sales if you go here. read more

Rebooting cable box constantly. Have had several repairmen out. Never gets fixed. While playing a recorded show, if I fast forward then hit play the show starts over. This happens even after reboot. Xfinity then leaves the customer to be the repair tool until you are mad enough to call for service. The tighten cable thing seems to be nothing more then a ploy. My cables were tightened with a wrench by the Tech. It has never come loose ever. Yet my box tells me to tighten cable every day. The box has been replaced twice. Everytime they start out fair then a month later they start having problems. Had Comcast in the 90's we did not have these problems then! read more
