Wow has been doing service on my street all day, Mind you I am not a customer and after today I…read morewill NEVER be a customer. No one came to my door, No one bother to ask me about needing to inter my PRIVATE property. One of their service techs just walks right down my driveway and into my backyard. I stopped him from going further into my yard and told him he is trespassing and that he needed to leave and he does not have my permission to be on my property. HE tried to explain why he was there and I told him that wasn't my concern and that he needed MY permission to be on MY PRIVATE property. He said he would wait for the police and that they would say it's okay. The hell they will. I wasn't told they would need access, Wasn't shown a work order, NOTHING! I called the company and talked to their Service Tech. I explained what happen and this Rude and Very unprofessional person said "What do you want me to do about it". My response, "I don't know, try training your techs about knocking on peoples door to let them know what's going on, or is that too much to ask for". I then asked why didn't anyone come to my house and let us know. All I got was "okay". I asked for a supervisor. Was told he needs a reason for me asking. Ummm? Really? I then asked 3 more times and was told "no". I told him fine and told him flat out. IF ANY of your techs walks onto my property again without my consent then I would press charges and call the BBB and Comers. This company is a Joke. If they do this again there will be consequences to their actions.

Despite paying my last bill on 4/06/2026, I was billed $120 again on 4/23/2026, and it appears charges continue while the equipment remains on my account. Additionally, I was promised a $300 gift card at sign-up after three months of service, but customer support informed me I would not be receiving it. Overall, the billing issues and unhelpful customer service have left me very dissatisfied and I would not recommend their service.

After getting beat to death by Comcast and their inferior equipment, service, and attitude I…read moreswitched to Directv. And for 14 months I've been very happy. However, I wanted to add a mini receiver to my package because we wanted to add a television set in another room. This is where everything turned south. Besides the $99 lease payment for the box, and the $6 per month added fee, they demanded a tech come out to install the mini box in a room that already has the digital coax cable run to it. That was a $49 charge. Plus, they demanded a new 2 year service be signed. Or, they would be kind enough to waive the 2 year agreement for a mere $100 more. Looks like I'll be switching back and forth between Comcast and Directv every two years now. Be nice if they valued their customers once they have them.

I set out to cancel my directv streaming before the billing date ONLINE. The person I had to "chat"…read morewith went through the usual routine for about 30 minutes before telling me they were not allowed to cancel and I would have to speak to someone with the authority to do so. That "authority" person said they would cancel service and send me a label to return my equipment. I returned the equipment (they received it) but the service was never cancelled. I involved my bank when they debited the account the following week. The bank is now stopping payment requests from Directv. Directv is now sending threatening emails about all kinds of charges because they cannot get more money from me. I just called the phone number on one of those emails and was told that the online cancellation option is not valid because it only goes to the billing department, not the "loyalty" department who ONLY has the authority to cancel. So you cannot actually cancel online. It's too bad that their customer service practices are so convoluted because the actual streaming service was great. The time that Directv is horrid is when you have to contact them.

I had requested that TV services be terminated in June 2022. I returned all of the cable equipment…read more(receivers/DVR) related to the TV service. The company started a new billing cycle on 1-8-2023 and informed me of the charges on 12-12-2023. They included a $78 fee for cable TV services and a $21 charge for TV broadcast fees. I told them that all of the equipment was returned so there should be no TV related charges. They insisted that because they offer TV streaming over the Internet that the charges were legitimate and that they must be paid in full. I refuse to pay for services/rentals/fees that were not rendered and they would not take any action to resolve. Clearly this is criminal in nature. You cannot bill someone knowingly that a service was not rendered and use a hypothetical reason that one "could" use their services over the Internet while refusing to remove the charges. This type of activity is really fit for a RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) lawsuit. I have filed a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General. The idea that they could force TV services without equipment to watch TV is absurd. The excuse that one "could" stream their content is absurd and they do not even care.

Charter would not let me change the password to my own email account without having my husband's…read morepermission first because he's the 'account holder'! Seriously. It's 2015! In a similar situation years ago, my husband gave Charter 'authorization' to let me change the account without his permission. We found out today, that the exception to that policy is 'password changing'. Really? And do I follow one step behind him as well? Considering I have ALL of the account information including four digit pin, address, zip, social security, etc., it is NOT a matter of protecting our account for security purposes. That's an insult to even use that as an excuse. They weren't helpful nor were they the least bit interested in resolving our issue. Due to a regulated industry, they continue to get away with horrible customer service and horrible policies. Deregulate them like the phone companies and things will change real fast. Calling Dish and Direct TV next!
