    Pad Thai

I love it here! I always put up to go after a shift and it's constantly delicious! The portions are large so it usually lasts me 2 meals - both filling! Favorite place for a great pad Thai!

Xiandu is a mix of Thai and Indian cuisine, a rare setup you see in the city. They have high tops and bar seating on the first floor (street level) with tons of seating up the set of stairs. The quality of the food and speed it comes out is great, with the only recommendation of sticking to "typical" dishes of that cuisine you're looking for. For example, the shrimp Thai green curry is FANTASTIC. The Dan Dan noodles... not a much (but still good don't get me wrong). The dumplings were very well made with tons of filling which I feel isn't always the case and a great dipping sauce. Great for big parties (there were a number of 8+ groups) that were easily accommodated. Reasonably priced, good food, will be back.

If you are looking for some really good Thai food this is place! For starters they have outdoor seating which I absolutely love. Another plus for me was the full service bar, with lychee martini as an option on cocktail menu. (My favorite drink) The Thai ice tea which is another fave was meh, it tasted watered down. I ordered spicy pineapple fried rice (spicy level medium hot) very flavorful. If you don't like curry this might not be the dish for you. The Tom yum soup and the Thai chili lemongrass stir fry was SO delicious!!!! I was very hesitant on ordering the lemongrass verse the Thai basil which is my typical go to. I'm SO glad I stuck to my decision because that was one of the best stir fries I've ever had. Last but not least the bok choy was very good as well. The staff was very friendly as well, I'll definitely will be returning next time I'm in Philly.

    Pad Kee Mao

Came here for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Staff was friendly. Decor inside was nice. I ordered the pad kee Mao and really enjoyed it. The noodles tasted fresh, good balance between the sauce and spices. I tried to get it extra hot given it's a thai spot, their hottest was as hot as actual thai spicy but had a nice kick to it. Overall really tasty and would come back!

Can I give it 3.5 stars? Went in with a group of 6 people for a sit-down meal. I feel I got the least interesting chicken dish out of all the people at my table, although it was still pretty good. But the killer dish were the dumplings; LOVED those. The jasmine tea was also good. Nobody had any complaints; overall good presentation.

I loved the meal we got here! The portions were large and the food was SO good. We were easily able to split the Drunken Noodles and the appetizer and left feeling plenty full. The service was very attentive and kind. It was a great dine in place and was comfortable albeit a bit cold inside. Overall we really enjoyed our food and will be returning!

    Red apple sangria

Pros - Sangria was really delicious! - Timing of the food coming out to our table was perfect. Loved that they served the appetizers pretty quickly, waited till we were done then brought us our entrees instead of crowding our table with everything - Server was attentive and friendly. He came to check on us and our waters were always filled - The laksa was so flavorful and amazing....brought me back to my time in Singapore! - Roti was really yummy, but I do wish they gave a little more sauce with it! - Offer indoor and outdoor seating Cons - No easy parking nearby - a little overpriced for the entrees - Interior space is a little tight

Overall was decent experience. Nice interior space and welcoming area. Friendly people inside. Price is good for plate size. The dishes were a little underwhelming though, taste was good just seemed generic. Not necessarily a bad thing, but wasn't phenomenal or unique. It's still good food at a good price. Good spice level on drunken noodle. Thanks

Takeout Review Got the pad kee mao and pineapple fried rice, but was really disappointed with both. The noodles were really mushy and soggy and the flavor of the dish was mostly salty. The pineapple fried rice was quite bland. I would not recommend Xiandu Thai for takeout, might be willing to try it in person to see if the quality is different.

Green Curry with chicken- fabulous dish

Back to Xanadu after a year of being locked down and so thrilled to see if they're still open and delivering the same great service and excellent food as always. Came for a pre-concert dinner with my honey had an amazing experience overall great for couples great for parties. We start off with two appetizers one Samosa - potato carrot corn onion and fresh dill with a yogurt dipping sauce really nice flavor and two the Asian - Thai roadie pancake filled with barbecue duck onion bell pepper corn and avocado wow a winner again a must have. I could've made a meal just out of these. For our entrée we had the angry beef with the marinated flank steak with grilled zucchini and a red wine Tom Yum sauce need to order medium rare nice and tender really interesting flavor due to the red wine and compliment that my wife decided we should also have a traditional pad Thai on the table so we had pad Thai with shrimp. Again excellent dish time in time out will be back again see my pictures

The flavors are so elevated and there isn't a restaurant that you can compare. I've been there twice and tried to get different things off the menu each time and everything hits. There honestly was not one thing we didn't. I also love that it's still a BYOB. If it is your first time, they do have a tasting menu but it's so nice and flexible because if there's something on the menu that you really want to try in the category, you have the option to pick that. Or you can just be surprised !

Reservation via opentable. Difficult to get. Opens noon on first month…read more Service was friendly. Can always ask for recs. The interior was small and intimate. Green Thai Tea - Very fragrant. Not overly sugary. Grilled saht koh - juicy. Cooked nicely. One piece. Nice char. Comes w radish Mahope Samut - scallops are cooked well. Nice sear. Curry rich in flavor - a little too much in my opinion. Came with a red thai chili pepper on top so a little kick Head on shrimp - a must get for the apps. No picking required. Eat it full on. I never ate head of shrimp prior. No regrets and would go for multiple Banh Chow Salad - a little too much mint, the dressing is really tangy which I really enjoyed Khao soi noodles - rich, creamy. Not overpowering. Nice crunch from the fried ramen and has a hint of spicyness that pleasant and not overbearing. Duck noodles - cold noodles, strong in pb. Not something I necessarily enjoyed All star fried rice - Seafood cooked nicely, it has 2 pieces of scallops and one uni on top. Flavorful. Like the flavors. The sauce on the side isnt spicy at all - more like a sweet chili. Best main of the bunch I tried. Would get again
