    Cochinitia pibil taco

I've been meaning to try Xocome. I finally did and it lived up to all expectations. The steak taco on homemade tortilla was the best I've ever eaten. It's filet mignon. Melts in your mouth. Also had the Cochinitia pibil taco on a blue tortilla. Excellent with the pickled red onions. Jamaica drink was sweet tart. So good The salsas were good but kind of hot. Great experience. Can't wait to go back. So many things I want to try. Check out the Chicago reader review from 2019 Interesting story about the owner

Small place with great service and great quality food. I tried the carne asada tacos and they were very generous with the meat, salsas were very tasty as well. I also tried the pambazo, very good. I will definitely be back to try more of the unique items on their menu!

The carne Asada tacos are amazing, one of the best I have tasted in Chicago. They also make their own tortillas too. That alone does not make the tacos great but it certainly enhances the overall experience. This place is unassuming but the food is terrific! The staff is super nice and service is very friendly. They make a highly touted blue corn tortilla but we haven't tried that one yet. Taco Tour '25 5 star stop

This place is the best in the city! LOVE this place! Everything is homemade. Get everything blue corn

Been coming here since 2019. Never been disappointed in the service or the food. Very small place with only room for about 20-25 customers. So either try your luck in getting a seat, wait, or take it home. Their homemade blue corn masa is a must have when ordering anything on the menu that calls for it. Great authentic flavor. Also looks great on a dish. The tacos are always full and never been skimped on on the meat servings. Thick blue masa tortilla. Juicy and tasty carnitas. Tender steak. 2-3 tacos is plenty for how much is served. Tlacoyo de Nopal/Cactus is delicious. Again with the blue masa filled with refried beans in the middle. Fresh grilled Nopales. Very authentic mexican food you can't really find anywhere else. Sure there's plenty of mexican joints around the city and suburbs, but no one does it like Xocome.

Xocome Antojeria sits on the lateral facing Archer of a strip mall, as unassuming as this small sit down restaurant is, it is well worth the mention on Chicago Infatuation for serving delicious food valued Mexican fare. I was particularly impressed by their blue masa tacos and gorditas. The chihuahua cheese and onions of the gordita is unbelievably flavorful with a mouthful of chewy texture with every bite. I absolutely love the color packed in the trifecta of the cochinita pibil taco. Check this place out! The food and value won't disappoint.

Incredibly friendly and fast. The food was satisfying. They serve items not often found in regards to Mexican food (blue masa, flor de calavaza, elotes, panbazos...). I'm really excited to come back and try more.

Super friendly staff. Food made to order, and portions are generous. We especially enjoyed the Cochinita Pibil Tlacoyo. The meat was full of flavor! Definitely will be back to try more.

Got TLACOYO , pambazo, and quesbirria. Everything had good flavor . Good quality meat. But it is messy to eat. Everything just fell out of of the bread or taco . Had to constantly scoop or out back on. Green and smoke sauces were really good . Service was great and fast

What a Lovely new spot to come and get some really and tasty Mexican food. You should definitely come to Xocome Antojeria, located in the south side suburb of Archer Heights. Stopped by to pick up some dinner, and let me tell you It was a great experience. The marvelous and colorful ambient look of the place gives you peace. We didn't have to wait to get seated, and we got greeted by the attentive and kind friendly staff, she brought us the menu and took our order right away.  My wife decided to order the cochinita pibil Quesadilla and I ordered Two cochinita pibil tacos with the blue tortilla and everything on them. Once they arrived on our table, I was flabbergasting by the size of the quesadilla, it was at least 20 inches. Made with fresh handmade tortillas, the perfect portion of cochinita pibil with cilantro and pickled pink onion the tacos were out of this world, so much flavor and the smell of a fresh tortilla, and a plus to the chipotle salsa, I love when the food has a little kick to it. Wow, everything was cooked to perfection, I was happy and satisfied with my decision. They were all excellent! Really recommend this place, average Chicago prices for a dinner of two and the food was very, very good!! Long time needed and finally was able to come here and yes, they have Authentic Mexican food, I will add this place to my list come more often. i would definitely be coming back. Thank you!!

Time to be seated was less than five minutes for a party of four around 2:20 PM on a Sunday; busier times or days enforce their 90 minute time limit policy per table. The food was well seasoned, wish I tasted it a little more on the meat itself, yet all the vegetables tasted crisp and fresh. If you are looking to have intimate conversations be prepared to speak a lot louder, the DJ booth by the front keeps it pretty lively, but difficult to hold conversations across the table. Open authentic Mexican soda is always refreshing, and if you're looking for a place that has soft serve margaritas this is one of them. If you notice and unusual wait time or slow service please make your choice accordingly as I started to notice it was a case by case basis like some of the previous reviews had mentioned.

Both adults and the VERY picky children in our group all enjoyed our meals. I ordered the green chicken enchiladas and the other adult ordered a chile relleno combo, which I also got to try. Everything was delicious and devoured by all! We were so full but the owner talked us into the chocoflan, and we did not regret trying it. It was soooo good! Speaking of the owner, the service was great. We really enjoyed how he and the rest of the staff were very courteous. It is a small establishment, and it gets a good amount of people, so I assume that there are waits during peak hours. I highly recommend Sabroso! And we plan to return the next time we are in the area.
