Found this place on a whim, but it's a gem. It doesn't look like much from the front, but it's cute on the inside. We asked for some suggestions on which hookah flavors to get, and our server was super helpful. The flavors he threw together were so good! They checked on us regularly, and were conversational and friendly. I'd definitely recommend. Heads up: They don't serve alcohol, so drink up before you get there.

Chin was super helpful and made sure we got seated before the waited time. He even made me a fire hookah for the wait! They also have a deck of cards you can play while you smoke hookah! Cool vibes and chill atmosphere if you're looking for something relaxing.

This place is the best hookah in LBC. Very relaxing amazing music and the staff are super friendly. It's a perfect place to bring a date and chat. It's all outside sitting but they have heaters so it's still warm enough. The price are very competitive so you can go wrong. Get the glass hookah it last a long time and worth every penny. Every time I come the staff already know how and even know my flavors I get so I don't even have to place the order. Lots of locals and CSULB students come and do homework too.

To echo what Garen A. said... Cool little hookah bar in Long Beach off 7th/Redondo. It's a pretty small place, couches are not comfortable but the service is amazing. Not much as far as food offerings go, but the servers are really attentive if you do order something. I saw others bring food from outside, but not sure if they encourage that. Decent hookah bar, really sweet staff. I'll be back soon. read more

This is a really great hookah bar. I used to come to Exhale before it closed and have to say this is a 150% improvement. The back courtyard is great and I like the TV's. When I ordered the hookah, they came over and showed me how to do it and were very attentive to the coals and taking my drink order. I'll definitely be back. read more

I have found my hookah spot FINALLY. This place was terrible until the new guys took over; now it's fantastic. The hookah's are so delicious and more importantly the staff goes beyond my expectations of a hookah place. Secret: I feel like they're family even though I'm just a customer :) Prices are beyond fair, parking is easy, heat lamps are wonderful and did I mention the hookah is really really great? Can't wait for them to add food to their menus.. Then they won't be able to get rid of me. I come here with friends and I sometimes even come just to study on my own! Thanks Xcape!! read more

I love the atmosphere and the music and especially the hookah , it is the best hookah in the county for sure they always keep their hookahs clean and always have their flavors on point. I also recommend getting the French vanilla coffee as well it is amazing. read more

Amazing lounge in the center of Long beach who has a very comfortable outdoor and indoor patio. They serve al fakher. Starbuzz. And Fumari which is hard to find ! They also serve all their hookahs in the Heavy Hitter all glass hookah for only $30 which is an amazing deal coming from a hookah enthusiast. Keep up the good atmosphere guys ! When you walk through the door you will not be initially blown away. However upon entering you will notice a huge outdoor patio. The staff is nice the ambiance is great as well. On Saturdays you might want to come early because this place fills up fast. They have a wide selection flavors (hookah) but few good options. I enjoyed my time here, I'll be back. read more

Xscape is the best hookah lounge I've been to. The environment is amazing and the staff is superb. I visit a few times a week to work on projects (free wifi) and Long (staff) is keeping me coming. Packs the best bowls, has great shisha recommendations and is always on top of making sure the coals are fresh. The place has a nice backyard feel and they recently put in wind/rain covers which really helped on rainy days. Very relaxing place and fun to hangout with people or just relax and get work done. The entire staff is amazing, really friendly and not pushy like other lounges and the pricing is competitive and worth every penny. Never had an issue the two years I've been coming here and it keeps getting better with improvements and new shisha flavors read more

This place is actually really great and the fact that they open earlier than most hookah places is awesome ! Downfall is that it's ridiculously hard to find close parking sometimes since there is only relatively restricted and some open street parking and it's a busy area so parking everywhere is usually full. They also use really small coals which I'm not used to. Typically I use/am given bigger coals and my clouds are usually thicker which I prefer but overall a great place. And the openness of it is refreshing read more

This is just an update: since our lovely city of long Beach is constantly making business' lives difficult, they decided to cite my friends because they had cords hanging from the patio leading to extension cords for the patrons to use while visiting. I had to complain few times about it, because they completely removed them, and i was lost considering I work from here so power is crucial. Not only did they install extension cords but they made it look so shiek, the new extension cords look like accessories/decoration on the patio beams. LOOOVVEE!!! then... as we all have experienced with internet companies offering wifi, the wifi is sometimes in and out, i complained once, and didn't come the following whole week because of how crucial internet connection is for my work.. next time i came in, the owner had not only updated their modem but got a much faster speed for their wifi. Again, these guys invest in their business and I can only be flattered to call these guys friends!! they truly care about their customers! read more

I've only been here a few times but it's pretty good. The place is less than 10 minutes from me which I love and the times I've come, it hasn't been crazy busy. I enjoy the choice in music too. The crowd is pretty much 20-somethings. There's no food or alcohol here which kind of sucks but there is a starbucks and subway nearby should you want something to chew on. They do serve non-alcoholic beverages. read more

This place is legit. Customer service is practically nonexistent. But when you do need assistance the guys are chill and help you quickly. Other than when you need coal changed they pretty much Leave you be. Still legit. It reminds me of someone's backyard on a summer night. Super chill place to hang out with friends late at night. The HC is bomb. The service is always great when we go but beware of parking in the smart and final parking lot. You will get towed and it is $$$. Other than the expensive pick up fee from being towed it was good. Been coming for a while. Will be back but learned my lesson. read more

Love the vibe here. Pretty dope staff, they're always nice and welcoming. They're not over priced. It's clean. They play good music and if you want something else to do, they provide you a deck of cards upon request. They don't serve alcohol, but you're able to bring in outside food if you'd like. They do serve beverages, even tea and coffee and desert too! If you're looking for a spot to hangout with friends or even solo, this is the spot. read more

I arrived at this place on a random whim but I'm so pleased because it's such a gem in my neighborhood! I'm from Glendale where there's a lot of awesome hookah bars, and this place was pretty up to par with what I'm used to. Was visiting my friend in Long Beach and decided to try this spot out. First off there was no parking which was a pain.Second of all the couches were very uncomfortable and finally the hookah wasn't good it was harsh and raspy the bowl was obviously overpacked and was burning in the first 10 min of arriving. The only credit I'll give it is the fact it was outdoor so it wasn't stuffy. read more

Absolutely terrible hookah spot. Zero stars if I could I give them that. Service here was non existent. All of the servers and staff were too busy talking to their friends and smoking that they couldn't care less. Also the hookah was terrible!!!! yes I said it, terrible . Harsh as ever. I suppose if you've never smoked hookah or don't smoke often you wouldn't know any better aside from the continuous coughing you would be doing. For those who have been here in the past, keep in mind that management has changed, and definitely for the worst. This place used to be called "exhale" when it was good, but my my have things changed . I will never come to this useless excuse for a hookah bar again. And if you care about your time or money, you never will either. read more

I attended my friends party that had 40 plus people. The guys that work here are sooo patient and kind. They even bought a cake for my friends bday and helped light it, cut it up, etc. we were short on forks and one of the employees went to the store and bought some for us. If that isn't the BEST service idk what is! I live twenty mins away but I come here just cause it's a really chill spot. Hookah is great too. read more

Like the service doe is real, my girls be like its cold. Moved errythang just to get us to da heaters. Mannnnn.. Originally, we were going to try to hit up Zuzu's petal, but the line was ridiculously long and the parking was a nightmare, so I decided to take her to my 2nd choice, which was Kin Long. I thought it would be a run-of-the-mill local, Thai place with food that is more homestyle and tastes slightly above average to hit the Thai food fix. Boy, was I wrong! First and foremost, they have their own parking lot, so YAY! It's starting to sound like my standards are low, but they aren't. OMG- their restroom is clean! JK. From the outside, it looked nice enough, but I was impressed when we entered. It had a comfy, modern, clean, and beachy elegance to it (the lights and that chandelier) without it being stuffy or looking disjointed in terms of interior decor. Servers were very polite and accommodating. I let my friend order since she was the guest. She ordered the garlic shrimp noodles and scampi shrimp to share, and the Thai tea drink with the ice cream bar. I ordered 3 cocktails (Jalapeno + tamarind, Lychee, and Thai tea martini) and they were all good (not overly sweet and weak sauce, but balanced, tasty, and had the right amount of buzz). We had a light lunch since we had AYCE hot pot later that evening (Mikiya - yes I'm a good host). The garlic noodles exceeded my expectations - shrimp were huge, seasoned well, and just cooked through, the noodles were broad, float, tender, and had a slight chewiness to it. The scampi shrimp were huge, tasty, succulent, and cooked perfectly (not surprised since the shrimp with the garlic noodles were so good). NOTHING WAS OVERCOOKED OR MADE ME GO.... "MEH...." and I've been to many Thai restaurants even the highly stylized kitschy ones like Farmhouse Thai in SF. The waiters were very attentive. They made their rounds to make sure waters were filled and all guests were taken care of. It helps they were also handsome too! LOL. I generally find many places nice in the competitive LA, but not nice enough for me to travel from the SGV. However, I will go out of my way to visit KL again to try the rest of their menu (drunken noodles, pork jerky, crab fried rice, papaya salad, etc.) because they left a good impression with me. Prices are reasonable and the quality of food, cocktails, clean restrooms, ambiance was coastal modern, has its own designated parking lot, and service was lovely.

I came across this place on TikTok because of their famous Thai tea popsicle, so naturally I had high hopes. First off, we got incredibly lucky with parking. I can definitely see how parking could be a nightmare since the lot is tiny, so consider finding a spot part of the dining experience. When we arrived, the inside was cute and seemed clean. We were seated outside, which also looked nice at first glance, but I noticed quite a few spider webs around the windows. My boyfriend even felt webs brushing against his arm while we were sitting there, which wasn't exactly the extra ambiance we were expecting. We ordered quite a bit: spicy Pad Thai, Bang Bang Shrimp, Pad See Ew, mango sticky rice, and of course the Thai tea with the popsicle. I'll give credit where it's due. The Bang Bang Shrimp was easily the best thing we ordered and was absolutely delicious. The Thai tea popsicle also lived up to the TikTok hype, although the actual Thai tea itself was on the sweeter side. If you love sugar, you'll probably enjoy it. My biggest complaint with the food was the spicy Pad Thai. The flavor was great, but it came with what felt like a whole chicken farm and a cameo appearance from the noodles. I ordered Pad Thai, not chicken with noodle garnish. The Pad See Ew was also noticeably salty. Now you're probably wondering why I'm giving this place a low rating if most of the food was decent. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the meal. When it was time to pay, my aunt was figuring out how much everyone needed to Zelle her since the restaurant only allows a maximum of two cards for split payments. While we were trying to do the math, our waiter stood over us watching the payment screen like he was supervising a final exam. He was clearly waiting to make sure a tip was entered. My aunt politely asked him to give us a minute, and thankfully he walked away. Maybe when you see a family actively calculating a bill, that's your cue to...actually give them a minute. Keep in mind we also tipped 20% despite all this. Throughout the meal, he did stop by our table, but it rarely felt like he was checking in to make sure everything was okay. If anything I felt rushed. He also gave off that "customer service smile" that disappears the moment you stop looking. The cherry on top for me happened as we were leaving. We had been sitting on the outdoor patio talking for a bit after paying, which is pretty normal for my family. Before leaving, I went inside to ask where the restroom was. The guy and girl behind the bar looked at each other, laughed, and then asked if I was a paying customer. Keep in mind, I was literally holding a to-go bag with leftovers from the restaurant. I responded, "Yeah, I just finished eating," while holding up the bag that made it painfully obvious. Only then did they tell me where the restroom was. Nothing says "valued customer" quite like being interrogated about whether you actually ate there while carrying your leftovers. It's unfortunate because the food had some highlights, and the restaurant itself has a cute atmosphere. But the service made it feel like customers are viewed more as transactions than guests. Between hovering over us during payment and questioning whether I even belonged there after spending money, I left feeling more unwelcomed than satisfied. I'll happily support a restaurant that appreciates my business instead of making me feel like I have to prove I earned the right to use the restroom after paying for dinner.

They set us up with several tastes and enlightened us about this new orange wine trend. He was a fount of knowledge and made the counter ordering experience more fun. I would return for Connor and the wine and snap peas tomorrow. The space is loud, high energy and fully staffed so even though you order at the counter later it feels more like full service. No one really came around to offer more wine or dessert so not sure if they have dessert. Could have gone for another glass of wine but then not getting one saved me $15-18 and I could still ride my bike home. Their bread is supposed to be amazing so have to try that next time. It's not a cheap night out but it is a fun one. I wouldn't bring kids here or too large a group maybe 6 max.

Food Overall (5/5): Food was delicious. We got the beef shawarma lunch special and got fries for the side (extra charge) and also the chicken shawarma lunch special with the hummus side. Beef Shawarma (4/5): It had a nice toasty flavor, perhaps from the spices, and the pickled veggies really complemented it. My only complaint was that I wish it had a bit more of the white sauce (maybe adding more hummus would have helped). It was also strangely a bit watery, maybe from the veggies. Overall, it was still a yummy wrap. Chicken Shawarma (5/5): The chicken shawarma tasted more balanced to me overall. I don't recall the meat being dry, although I did also slather it with a bit of hummus. I thoroughly enjoyed this wrap. Fries side (5/5): Their fries are made in house and it tastes so fresh. It was crispy on the outside yet still gooey and moist on the inside. I'm not sure if they make their own ketchup too, as it looked clumpier and tasted really fresh too. The kids gobbled this up. Hummus and pita (5/5): It came with a generous amount of both hummus and pita. The hummus was well flavored and blended, and it really complemented everything on the table. The pocket pita bread was not what I had in mind (I'm used to thicker ones), but the kids really loved it overall. Ice cream (4.5/5): We ordered two scoops from the dessert menu. They were both really thick, creamy and almost chewy like liquidized mochi. It was a very interesting texture but nonetheless a nice tasty treat on a hot day. I much preferred the vanilla bean, as the pistachio tasted and looked rather artificial (and I'm a pistachio ice cream lover). This place had so many to-go orders during the afternoon we were there. I can see why. Food is super fresh and tasty. I think we will be back the next time we are visiting.

I took my fine ass girlfriend and my (geeky) looking butt on down to Xscape and let me tell you, we sure escaped on them clouds of magical Hookah! They've got every flavor you can imagine. My favorite was definitely the Peach. The peach flavor reminded me of smoking other stuff in high school (haha) but theirs none of the that there trust me! 5 STARS FOR SURE ! What an upgrade from Xhale Hookah lounge, Xscape is the best hookah lounge in town. Very great ambiance and the staff is outgoing and chill. I'm definitely gonna start being a regular here . The hookahs smoke amazing and it is very flavorful and they have a great selection of flavors that'll suit any taste, and they check up on customers a lot. There's no shortage of parking either ! This is my first experience at Xscape. I could not be more happy with this hookah bar. I used to come here when it was exhale and it is by far a complete improvement. The staff is very attentive. Alyssa made sure that we had everything we needed. The back patio was an inviting lounge and had several tvs and music to provide entertainment. The coals were switched out properly and consistently.
