GUINNESS, YES If…read moreyou like Guinness, your gonna like this place. Everything has a bit of Guinness here. Surprisingly really good food for brunch too. Beef stew was really good and hearty. The chicken tenders are ginormous and the boxtys are interesting and delicious. Auld Dubliner also happens to be located at the pike outlets. A short walk away from the aquarium, shoreline village and pine st.

My fiancé and I were looking for a place to drink and eat before a concert and were excited to see the menu for the Auld Dubliner. We came in on a Saturday night and the place was packed! The only place with seating was in the very front of the restaurant, outside. We sat outside looking at the menu, before deciding what we wanted. There wasn't a server or water walking around, so I had gone straight to the bar and talked to the bartender. He was very sweet and tried his best to hear me. Impeccable hearing, I'd say, because it was loud in there. I ordered an IPA with fish and chips. He gave me a number, which I was grateful for to ensure they'd find me outside. I sat outside with my fiancé, and we enjoyed our time people watching. Although they were extremely busy, our food came out within 10 - 15 minutes. The fish was very good; it was crispy and flaky. Their fries were okay, and just a tad bit soggy, probably due to the temperature of the fish. My IPA was cold and good. It's your typical pub and food, but great experience to those visiting. I'll probably be back again if I happen to be back for another concert.

I think it's a perfect spot to grab some brews and a quick bite. The food here is way better than your average bar and it's very welcoming too. Walk in and you will see a bartender taking order and helping out the customers at the bar. There are also outside seating too. It was a bit loud when I walked in because they were doing a paint and sip with a movie. The movie was blasting so I was a little startled of what was going on haha. Per the menu, they have a lot of great sando options. I got there LB Grinder and it tasted almost like a pizza. The salad dressing and roasted cherry tomato stood out on the ciabatta bread and overwhelmed the taste of the overall sandwich. It was super good. Would definitely come back.

I came in again today to pick up an order and asked a simple question about the rewards program, and her response and overall attitude toward me were unnecessarily rude. What really stood out was seeing how friendly and attentive she was with another customer, Logan, immediately afterward. I understand that employees can have off days, but when the difference in treatment happens repeatedly, it becomes difficult not to notice. I'm not asking for special treatment--just basic courtesy and customer service. Unfortunately, these interactions have gotten to the point where they make me not want to return, and I would hesitate to recommend this location based on the customer service experience I've had. Beware, they don't respond too.

Stopped in here after the first night of Warped Tour and left pretty disappointed with the service,…read moreeven though the food itself was solid. The location is great -- right in downtown, easy to find. The space is huge, with a downstairs, an upstairs, and a full restaurant on the opposite side from the bar area where we sat. Cool setup overall. The service is where it fell apart. We walked in and told the hostess there were two of us; she just said "sit anywhere" without showing us to a table or explaining how things worked. We sat in a booth for a while -- no menus, no server, nothing. My friend was very drunk and badly needed water, so eventually I went up to the bar myself to ask how it worked. Turns out you order everything at the bar -- but nobody tells you that up front. I had to go up three separate times: once to figure out the system and get waters, once to place our food order, and again later just to get a water refill. That last refill was the most frustrating part. The bartender who'd helped us earlier saw me standing at the end of the bar and just walked away. I waited and waited, didn't want to be that person yelling over other customers, and eventually another bartender helped me out. It really wasn't busy that night either, especially for a night with a whole festival happening nearby, so there wasn't a good excuse for it. On the plus side: my hamburger was genuinely really good, and the whole meal for two came out to about $30 -- the cheapest we ate the entire trip. My friend got a tomato pesto cheese sandwich, though he was too far gone to give me a real opinion on it. Food gets a thumbs up, but the lack of any real table service and being ignored at the bar soured the whole experience. Probably won't be back unless I hear the service has improved.

Fast forward to this past weekend for the USA World Cup game. We originally were planning on attending the street party that was happening on Pine Ave in downtown for the game. But when we arrived, there was a massive line just to get in. Just from the looks of it, the line didn't seemed to move and the game was starting. That's how we ended up here. The bar is just off the promenade in downtown. Clearly, there was no way we're waiting in the line for the street party. Instead, we remembered and seen this place. They too were showing the game so we walked in. There was a good amount of people on the patio area which they also had a television. Inside was a bit more mellow but it was picking up. With this bar, we got to sit down and enjoy the game with a nice cold beer. Happy hour was going on so they were having specials on drinks. Within minutes, it was starting to get packed as everyone was doing the same thing. Instead of waiting in line and the game was starting, this place was a better option. A nice open vibe bar. Plenty of seating inside as well as the outside patio which was pretty big as well. The ladies behind the bar were amazing. Busy as they were trying to take care of everything and everyone. Drink specials did sound nice but we opted for the happy hour beer. Bar area was quite roomy with communal tables as well a private table. Bar seating was great as the television was right in-front of you. The tufted leather seats, leather high top seats give it that cigar lounge. A cool spot right in the heart of downtown Long Beach. They didn't serve food but was informed that hat someone was serving classic hot dog and burger out front. Having walked in and enjoying this place, it was worth it. Also one of the bartender that worked at another place we've been to also worked here. The whole place was nice and greatly enjoyed. Will be back for sure.
