These are the freshest macrons! They offer many flavors, including unique flavors taro, durian, peppermint, green tea, rose petal,pumpkin.... My favorites are coconut, chocolate, raspberry, espresso, but I love so many it's not easy to choose! I like to order the 42 piece box. They lay them flat and look so delicious, they're are a big hit at parties. I love to indulge in a 6 piece box for myself! You can buy them in advance and keep them refrigerated. These macaroons are a bit bigger than the one you would see at lettle. The ones I got were vanilla bean and sea salt caramel both were delicious. The macarons here are amazing and prices are really affordable. I'm used to paying at least $2 per macaron but at XT Patisserie, it's only $10 for a box of 6! There are lots of flavors to choose from and trust me you can't go wrong with any of them. My personal favorites are passionfruit and taro. I saw that they have durian too, and I can't wait to try that next time. I chatted with the chef a bit and found out he's classically trained in France so you know this place is legit! read more

I got a dozen since I was nearby and wanted to try this place. Right now they have 25% off if you check in on yelp. A dozen is $19 but I got it for $14.25 ($15.46 w/ tax) They have a lot of choices to choose from: I got durian, 2 earl greys, 2 pistachios, rose, passionfruit, sea salt caramel, eggnog, raspberry, and coffee. My favorites were the rose and raspberry. The sea salt had an aftertaste that was weird. The durian really tasted like durian but it wasn't overwhelming, just don't smell it alot. They had some other flavors like peppermint and eggnog for the holidays, lemon, green tea, chocolate, taro,and vanilla with others too. They also have ice cream macaroons ($2.75) too. GREAT bang for your buck place to get french macarons, or as I like to call it, little sugar hamburgers. We found this place at the very tail end of a strip mall parking lot. No clue what XT stands for but Patisserie peaked our interest enough to walk in. They lured us in all right, I was hooked immediately when I saw macarons for a fantastic price. I'm super picky about my french macarons. They have to be the right consistency and texture or else they are on my blacklist. Luckily, XT does their job right. The macarons we tried were all perfect. Flavors were great, perfect chewiness, and to top it all off, they have macaron ice cream sandwiches, the way to my heart. It seemed like the owners were the ones running the shop. The guy works today Saturday June 18th 2021 just an ignorant as he doesn't care about customer. Waited there for 10 minutes and still no service plus he did not let me use a restroom. He needs to be trained for covid protocol as California already opened since June 15th so there is not a reason he keep restroom only for employee plus I believe there is an employees restroom in the back. This I small place but they have so many great options! Looks like it's a family owned shop too! I was treated right away by the cashier who helped me pick out my macaroons. And like I said before, there are MANY MANY options! He helped me by telling me some of the best sellers! The place was not busy. I was the only one in there, but there are places to sit inside. XT's pistachio macaron flavor is very good, but I found the filling to be pasty. Raspberry tasted and looked like jam and does not taste nearly as good as 'Lette's ganache. XT's raspberry filling was too sweet and tasted artificial, compared to 'Lette's which tastes like you are eating an actual raspberry! XT's cookie was not as moist as 'Lette. I don't have a sweet tooth, nor do I search out desserts, but the very first time I tried XT Patisserie's macarons, I fell instantly in love. Back then they were sold at the Irvine Great Park farmers' market, and then they became available at OC Wine Mart as well. Since then -- which was several years ago -- I've remained a big fan. I'd have to say I've tried almost all of their flavors and my favorites include all the fruity tart ones such as raspberry, passionfruit and lemon. The specialty ones like Earl Grey and Lavender are unique as well. My friends and I even did a taste comparison one time with macarons from different places including 'Lettes (originally Paulette's) and some other ones which I can't quite remember now, and XT won hands down. The texture of the macarons are perfectly chewy with an initial crisp/crunch. It isn't soggy or too chewy which appeals to me. The middle layer is also in perfect unison to the two 'sandwich' sides -- never overpowering, and always balanced in sweetness. This is the perfect gift during Christmas time and I also like to give them away for birthdays or bring them to parties and have always received compliments for bringing them. Chef Xuan is trained in Paris and creates these macarons (and other desserts) so immaculately and delicately he's turned me into someone who actually likes eating these sweets. read more

They are available at various locations throughout Southern California so check out their website. I had the opportunity to try them at OC Wine Mart but they are also available on Sundays at the Farmers Market at the OC Great Park. My favorite so far has been passion fruit which has a wonderfully complex citrus note in it. The chocolate, caramel, and vanilla are also delicious. I had no idea macarons could taste so good. My first encounter with them was when I vacationed in Hawaii and stayed at the Trump Waikiki Hotel. Delightful! You wouldn't expect a gourmet marcaron shop to be in this strip mall, but I'm so glad it is. The store is clean and bright. The gentleman who greeted and helped me was very nice and friendly. These macarons are just slightly larger than normal and I loved their flavors. The price is also ever so slightly lower than most at $1.70 each or a dozen for $19. They also have little baby macarons for 99¢ each. I ordered a dozen regular ones and got 15% off my order with my Yelp check in. I got raspberry, strawberry cream cheese, rose petal, lavender, earl grey, taro, coconut, kalamansi, passion fruit, sea salt caramel, durian, and pistachio. (Note: I'm not a chocolate fan.) I am having a really hard time choosing my favorites. If I had to, I'd say sea salt caramel. You can clearly taste the sweet caramel contrasting with the sea salt. Coconut, because theirs is like a hybrid of a macaron with a delicate macaroon. Also, the Rose petal and lavender. They are acquired tastes, but if you like those flavors, XT does a great job balancing them. XT's flavors a very pronounced, which I loved. So when you get taro, it actually tastes like taro. I've had some from other shops that are just purple and taste of the almonds. The strawberry cream cheese one had a surprise strawberry filling in the middle of the cream cheese filling. Yummy. The only one I didn't like was the kalamansi. It's like tart lemon. I felt it was too sour for such delicate cookies. Had to revise this review after consuming the other flavors in the sampler. Again, the flavors are good but the macarons are missing the chewiness texture. I recently had a macaron from Euro Pane and again, it had a similar texture as ones that I've had from Bouchon. None of the XT macarons had this so I'm dropping a star. After having had the one from Euro Pane, I highly doubt I'll be ordering from them in the near future. read more

I don't ever remember having a Macaroon and I am always up for trying new things. I have been to Patisserie 3 times and I can never decide if I should get a few macaroons, or their awesome ice cream, or BOTH! As far as the quality of these beautifully hand crafted macaroons there is a decent variety for any type of tastebuds. If you like sweet and fruity maybe try strawberry cheesecake. Looking for something more bold try the coffee or salted Carmel. I don't have a favorite since I havn't tried all the flavors yet however, I really enjoyed the lemon and coffee macaroon so far Just out of curiosity I tried the macaroons that are frozen from Trader Joes and Patisserie wins on quality and flavor hands down. My kids love macarons so we popped in for an after school treat. Lots of flavors to choose from, beautiful presentation as well. My kids chose coffee, chocolate, vanilla, peppermint and sea salt caramel.
