    Strawberry lychee. Banana dulce.
    Noel C.

I dropped by their spot at the Tustin District Farmers Market today (4/27/25) and bought 1 strawberry lychee cheesecake and 1 banana dulce cheesecake. I tried them chilled (refrigerator temp) and frozen. I personally prefer them out of the fridge due to the more creamy (rather than solid) texture, but I suggest trying both ways if you haven't. For the strawberry lychee, you get a good mix of sweet strawberry and the lightly floral lychee for a brighter, lighter flavor profile. For the banana dulce, you get a strong dose of real bananas backed by a sweet dulce de leche that's warmer and richer compared to the other cheesecake. The crust at the bottom is appropriately thin but keeps its structure without being too hard nor dusty. The best thing about these cheesecakes is that they're not sickening. You can eat these mindlessly without realizing you're left scraping the inside of the container. They're barely sweet -- they're just sweet enough to enjoy the flavors without experiencing a sugar crash. They're not dense nor too airy -- it doesn't feel as if you're eating a meal's worth of food in a couple of bites, and it's definitely not one of those "cheesecakes" that are more like mousse.

I went to the Downey Night Market and discovered this amazing cheesecake place! The cheesecake was absolutely delicious, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. I'm so glad I found this spot I'll definitely be coming back!

When we ordered the cinnamon roll, there was no option to heat it up, so we thought they would have done it already. When it was served, it was rock solid. So, we asked them to heat it up. However, after a few minutes, it still wasn't that gooey and the inner core was still pretty tough. Perhaps they could have warmed it up so that it was evenly softened. Overall, the cinnamon roll was alright. It was a brioche roll so you would think it might be lighter and fluffy, but ours was pretty dry. However, the cream on top was insanely good. It carried the roll. The hazelnut twist was kind of what you would expect. A twisted pastry but with a hefty amount of hazelnut-chocolate spread thru the layers. We sat in a little nook, where there was a magnetic black board, where there were word tiles you could rearrange in any way. It was a nice place to just look around at all the sentences the community wrote. Chess tables were also available as extra seating. Overall, the service was good, but could be better when warming up pastries, so that the customer can enjoy them properly!

I've been a regular here at Eller since opening and I've always loved coming in for their coffee,…read morepastries and bread. I haven't been to Eller in the last couple months until this Morning. I've been told that there's new ownership and changes with ingredients (which doesn't bother me) yet everything tastes and looks terrible now. Croissants have huge gaping holes, there's a jalapeño cream cheese croissant and it's just a croissant with a block of cold cream cheese in it..., mushy carrot cake that's barely fully baked, the only pastry that I really enjoyed was the yuzu blood orange danish. Also the food for breakfast and brunch it's really disappointing... since opening they have had the same exact menu with no new menu items, no creativity and just outright bland it so desperately needs a change. The absolute ONLY reason why I gave this review 3 stars instead of 1 is because of the sourdough country loaves... WOW, I would say it's the best bread in OC and the only reason that I'd come back. So if you're looking for a quality sourdough loaf definitely come in for that.... Other than that stay far away from this place and it hurts me to say that now because I saw such potential in this place.

I really like this place. Their sourdough, loves, cinnamon rolls, chausson aux pommes (they don't…read morehave them anymore) were all excellent. You see everything is made with quality, and with a constant turn around of house made product. It is a cute and quaint spot with limited parking. We came here on a Sunday afternoon, ordered the benedict (perfect poached eggs, hollandaise pretty good), the egg sandwich (on croissant), and the breakfast wrap. The breakfast wrap really surprised me because it was wrapped in a crepe. Very good and tasty. Lattes and coffee are excellent quality. It's not often that I feel a business who does super well should be at 4 stars instead of 5, but I would say for how small this place is, the service is just okay, and I think the prices are quite high for certain things. You will be serviced quickly, at least in the time I've been here, but I think this place has room for improvement - but that's just my opinion. It's good, but I'm not blown away. I would still recommend giving this place a try, because their croissants are wonderful as it the bread - but hard to compete with a few other well known bakeries.

During my recent visit, Wendy at cashier station 5 on 6.13.2026 at around 7:30pm provided extremely disrespectful service and openly stated that she did not care enough to learn the pricing codes while scanning items. This raises concerns about pricing accuracy, not only for me but for other loyal customers as well. Fortunately, the employee assisting with bagging demonstrated far more professionalism and took the initiative to correct the mistakes caused by Wendy's lack of attention and concern. I hope management addresses this issue, as customers deserve courteous service and confidence that they are being charged accurately.

The Churreria specifically has delicious churros, hot cocoa, and dipping sauces. I like to get the churro bites and 2-3 sauces to enjoy. There's a seasonal sauce right now guava which is delicious! I'm a chocoholic and always have to get a chocolate and caramel sauce. The line gets very long, as it should, since it is so popular. Once your order is in, you'll have time to wander the bakery and gifts sections to kill time. Personally, I like to watch the staff make the churros. It's fun to see how the magic happens with the machines and twirling. Northgate is great for everyone! It's huge, plenty of seating and even family friendly. Often folks go to the tv/dj area with multigenerational families to enjoy whatever big sporting event is on. Come for the Churros, stay for the liveliness of the Mercado.

All you gotta do is order at a window where a cashier will take down your order and then wait in the side for your freshly made churros. I'm always down for a classic churro hot chocolate combo (French is my preference for the richness) but if you're trying to beat the heat, you can't go wrong with condensed milk either. I will say it does air on the sweet side but I view it as a small indulgence every now and again. Every crispy bite makes it worth it!
