After getting 3 separate estimates, I have purchased 2 HVAC systems from Xtreme Air. The price was way better than the other 2 companies, their response time was as advertised: Same Day! The purchase was smooth, the financing at 9% was approved within minutes, and the install was next day, which is highly appreciated in July in TX!! I have nick-named the install teams "AC Ninjas" because they moved around quietly and respectfully, did a great job, cleaned up, explained everything and answered may questions. The first install even required removal of part of my fence, which was done with zero qualms, and no tell-tale signs or damage. The only thing I hate is that it took me so long to find them!! I have had a few terrible experiences with my HVAC systems, but these guys were very detailed and did things no prior company has done. If you go back to 2022 you'll find a great review for me on this company. The service that they provide is good however if they can reach you by phone email text messaging or probably even smoke signals they will. One day in 40 minutes they had a total of nine contacts with me back to back calls on my cell back to back emails back to back text messages and a call to my house phone as well. I went through and totaled up all the messaging that I had still on my phone and mind you I did get a new phone so it hasn't been not even a year and the amount of contact that they have made with me is disgusting. This is their sales practice. At the bottom of all the invoices and messages there's a number for the owner if you have a problem or a complaint so I messaged him with a copy of the phone log email log and text log. STOP & read this before hiring. These guys exploit customers during AC crisis by talking you into very high pricing and contracts, conduct unethical and unlawful business, don't provide any warranties and then disappear when you complain that their services didn't work. Here are some context: They sent a technician to diagnose my AC not cooling down. Tech said there's a leak in my evaporator coil and that he can put some Freon to cool it down but ultimately I'd need to change the coil for $4,000. I couldn't afford it at the time so we agreed to put Freon only. I was charged a whopping $1,300 to fill up Freon and they had me sign a contract to finance it. People do stupid things during times of crisis and desperation. After further research, I realized Freon fill up would've cost me only a few hundred dollars. Less than two months later my AC stopped working again. I called and they send another technician in. He couldn't go up the attic and basically read the other technician's note from March. I told him that I can't sign off on $4000 without getting other bits. We agreed to fill up Freon until he can get back with me with an official final estimate in writing on Tuesday (it was Memorial Day weekend) My AC never cooled down below 79 all night. So I called the next morning to report that his so called freon fill up did not work and he never did any diagnosis because he couldn't go up the attic. They rudely said they have to get back with me on Tuesday. They never did and instead charged my account another $525 without my permission and authorization. I'm protesting & fighting this with the bank. I followed up in writing on Tuesday and they never responded to that either. It is Friday now. I had to hire someone else to fix my AC and they did a great job and only charged $2,550 (next to their $4000 verbal estimate on top of initial $1,300 Freon charge and another $525). This company if unethical & unlawful. They have no shame. Don't make the same mistake I made. read more

The system hasn't worked well since it was installed. *They came out to put in a new Thermostat (which should have been done at the time of Installation) Charged us. *They came out again and said it would need a part replaced costing about $300. Instead, I had him blow out the drain line twice and it worked better. This should have been done at Installation. Charged us again. *They came out again and said that a weight had fallen off the fan on the outside unit. *They came out again and said that the motherboard which links to the heater would need to be replaced, costing more money. At that time, I requested all of our records. They do not give paper receipts. They say it is digital, but it is not retrievable.Sometimes they were sent in a text coming from various tech phone numbers. This keeps the customer from having proper records. I phoned and I emailed to request copies of the service records and got NO response. **I hired another AC repairman to inspect the system. When he got into the attic and saw the electrical cord and plug, he said that it needed to be fixed immediately for safety reasons, and that it could be the reason for the system not working. Extreme Air repairmen should have checked this. I have photos of the blackened socket and corroded prongs on the plug. **We hired an electrician who repaired the outlet and chord. The system works now. He also noticed the poor wiring on the overflow switch. *** This is all evidence that Extreme Air repairmen lack basic diagnostic skills. They continually charged us without repairing the brand new system they had installed. read more

Had a seasonal maintenance visit which turned out to be almost $600 for basically nothing but a basic cleaning not even the blower. Then received 3 quote options to solution why the system wasn't draining properly $1,100, $1,800 and $2,500. I went and got a second opinion and had it fixed for $1,400 which included more being done than what their $1,800 quote was going to provide. DO NOT TRUST THEIR PLUMBING THEY LIE!!!!!!!!!!! get other estimates before anything. Check other plumbing companies look at any videos they perform yourself. Make your choice after you call others, heck schedule them same day at different times. Assume nothing. A friend said if thing are underground, you'll never know. I have had them out about an issue they worked on before I lived here. The plumbing was under warranty. I complained about water I saw outside when I used kitchen, I was told "nope all good". I called when a bump in my floor showed, again "nope not us all good". Now the warranty is over. The foundation people came out and informed me after measuring, the foundation was not a problem, it's plumbing. Xtreme never scoped or anything! A couple of months ago I saw water in my yard, so concerned I called. I was told after a guy put a camera in that my sewer line had collapsed, try not flush too much toilet paper and wash my water use. Over that weekend I didn't flush toilet paper and when I showered, I let the tub fill and drained it with a bucket. So when A person I know came out, he said the flooding in yard was from a neighbors hose leaking up against the fence. XTREME wanted to charge me $5800.00!!!!! They sent me an estimate. Now there is a problem however, it was not as forcefully dire . Now I'm screwed all problems a huge bulge in my living room and floor destroyed. read more

I sent an email to the owner and never got a response. I wanted to write to you my experience with your company. I had your tech come and do my annual service and he told me I needed a new capacitor , which yes, in fact that was true. But he also told me that my ducts had heavy debris and needed to be cleaned ($1700 per unit) and that he needed to clean, Pull and Clean Blower wheel, was very dirty. Your pricing for a capacitor was $416 plus the cleaning of $416. I felt this was very overpriced, so I called another A/C company to give me a second opinion. He checked the ducts and the wheel, not dirty! ( I knew this to be true because I had duct work done about 2 years ago.) Yes, my capacitors was weak. He looked up the warranty on my capacitor and it was still under warranty and so he replaced it and I was only charged the labor fee of $80.00. You guys had done the work on my home, why did he not checked into the warranty? Even if it was not been under warranty they would of only charged me $180.00 to replace, including labor. I feel like you guys up sale every time you come even when work is not warranted, and your pricing is 3x more then it should be. A few years back I asked about my master bedroom always being hotter than the living area, and I was told that I needed to fix the air vents in the attic to have better air flow to my bedroom. I paid over 1,000 to have this done and it never made a difference. The room is still warmer than the rest of the house. I have used their services on two other occasions and I was "Xtremely" satisfied with their services. On this third time, another air conditioner unit that they didn't install, the compressor went out on it and it was still under warranty. Since they performed well in the past, I contacted them to perform the services. They installed the new "Warranted" compressor for $2,194. The price was very high but I agreed to the service. The tech indicated they would send me an email receipt on Monday 7/3/2023 and I called on Wednesday to get my email receipt. It was just a total amount and mentioned the warranty compressor. I called and ask for a more specific itemized breakdown of what I paid for, and I got the run around for two days. They finally sent a receipt, but it was the very same receipt they had already sent. I called again and someone was supposed to call me back (Jake) but never called. I call again and Jake finally called back and said he would provide the itemized copy of a receipt. What he provided was a Joke and insult to my mental intelligence!!!!!!! The price category was substituted for "Quantity" and a number was place there. No actual dollar amount was provided for breakdown of services but the total bill again. Don't use them, unless you are okay with being billed for services and you don't know what you are billed for. "Xtremely" poor customer service!!! Your bill will not list any specific prices for services rendered that they charged for. It will be just a total bill with no explanation of service. Don't recommend! I had a whole new furnace/AC system installed 10/2020 -$14k. Everly SINGLE year I had them visit my home because the system was lent working. My labor warranty ended 11/2022 - so I had Rowlett Air come out and they said the fuses kept getting blown because the electrical box was too small - shouldn't Extreme Air had to know that???? Another $700 later Rowlett air fixed. Xtreme Air is good at one thing selling - as far as fixing and installing NO!!!!!!!! God somewhere else. I was told during August hottest month when out AC was down (New system mind you) they couldn't get to us till the following week. it was over 100degrees in my home with small kids and animals! stay away from Xtreme air! I'm a long-time customer of Xtreme. I've been with them for over 20 years. They have serviced my A/C and heating equipment almost exclusively, with the exception of one time when I made the mistake of confusing another company with a similar name, and that was a mistake. Their prices are competitive and their work excellent. There has been several occasions when I told them I wanted to change out equipment when it wasn't needed; and they advised me that I was wasting my money. I can't say enough about these folks. We could have had him stay for hours because he has lots of stories to tell. He was honest and trustworthy. This is a great company. They did a great job replacing my AC. They provided financing for 2 years with zero percent interest. There was a water spot on my ceiling afterwards, and the owner made it right immediately! The owner didn't try to point the finger or anything like that, he just got it fixed right away. My problem was simple and easily corrected within 15 minutes. But it was very expensive, too expensive. The part I needed retails for $35 and is easily available, Their charge was $350 for the $35 part and a total Ticket price of $500. I have purchased this service many times at $225-275. I felt the part markup was too great but as a landlord, I take care of my families. I felt taken advantage , and I told several people within the company. They didn't seem to care. One of the van drivers for this company hit my car on 12/20/21 causing my car to hit another car and then the van driver backed up and drove away. I am not able to file a police report because I do not have description of the driver and only a partial license plate. I was in shock from the impact of the hit. The other driver was bleeding from hitting her face on the steering wheel and I have a pinched nerve on the upper section of my back. What kind of person would hit someone and drive away without even checking to see if the other drivers are okay? It's 38 degrees outside as I write this and its a cozy 68 degrees where I'm sitting due to my new system. It was installed yesterday by the team that anyone would wish for when having someone show up to work at your house. They were on time, polite, professional, and they took the time to answer all my questions and explain everything I needed to know bout the system. Justin and Dakota were the installers and they were meticulous. Everything was carefully removed, replaced and tested right down the check list to make sure it was done correctly. They went through and made adjustments to the options and settings as per the request of my wife and me, and they even programmed the thermostat to my wife's preferences, and it took them all of about a minute or so to do it. The thermostat was easy to use and intuitive. It's also worth mentioning...a lot of businesses use the adage "leave it cleaner than you found it" but these guys made it a serious part of their process.They brought in more tarps to protect the floor than Davinci had when he did the Sistine chapel. Every piece of equipment or doorknob or anything else they touched or came near was wiped down or swept clean before they left. There was not a single piece of wire insulation, or a discarded screw, or piece of cardboard or packing foam left anywhere. I mean...these guys are meticulous. They did a beautiful job and I can tell the difference in how everything runs. It's quiet, it's more efficient and I'm saving about a quarter of the electricity having just upgraded my old system to this two-ton 14 SEER system. Again, the installers are Justin and Dakota and our sales rep is Chad. It's going to be quite a while before I may ever need another AC system installed, but if I do, I hope they're still around, because I will request them. My family and I hired this company to have a brand new A/C unit installed. New installation of unit, new vents, new everything basically. It has been such a headache! Close to $20,000 later and we have had lots of issues with not being set correctly and not cooling one room and one bathroom in the house. The sales rep promises you things that the technicians won't install unless they have approval. That was taken care of. Then they send the lazy employees for the technician to deal with, they leaned and slept on the sewer pipe, they punctured a hole into the sewer line, they came to fix it. Other things have happened, not worth stating everything. Keep in mind every time they schedule to come out, then end up rescheduling because they are too busy to fix the issues. Have had an appointment for two days to fix the vent issue and not cooling correctly in those two rooms, the appointment was today Friday 5.12.23 and they rescheduled for Tuesday. WHY?? Why would you do that? There is one elderly person living in the house, and one disabled person living in the house. We are very understanding people, but it feels like well since you have been paid, you just leave us on the back burner. Please fix the Issues, this is gone on way too long. These folks are real nice when selling you a new system. And everything seemed to be going ok as they started the install. Then it began to turn into some sort of homeowner nightmare. The new 12k furnace all the sudden needs 10k worth of new ductwork, the electrician doesn't want to install the fixture he has been called out to because HE doesn't like that kind,and wants to replace them all with something else. As a homeowner I get do decide what fixtures I want in the house not the person installing them. Painters don't pick your paint color, and flooring guys doing pick your tile/carpeting. As if that were not enough the gas hot water heater magically quit working the very night the gas furnace was installed. This seemed just a little too strange. Two service technicians were sent out to investigate determining that a new water was needed for 3000. Now, this just didn't seem right. PAID another company look and nothing is wrong with it. Extreme air had the gas cut off in the attic to the water heater. A 12k furnace which is expensive enough nearly turned into a 26k ordeal. This has been beyond stressful. read more

Will not use this company again. The tech was focused on upcharging for services not related to the repair and selling me a service contract rather than restoring cooling for my tenants. Finally gave me a price over the phone to replace a warranty part. (I had to tell them it was warranty) Refused to tell me what their hourly rate was or how long the repair would take so I could evaluate the price. Once the repair was complete, I receive a receipt with no line item detail or description of the parts replaced for my records and warranty file. I called the office looking for a detailed receipt and was told to email servicetoday@xtremeairservices.com. Don't bother, no one will respond. Finally, even though this company advertises they provide service in Forney, they charge a 2% upcharge on the full cost of the service to go there......from Sunnyvale? I hired this contractor to serve some rental properties. From the beginning it was a disaster. Over the course of a year, they performed several jobs for me: 1. Install an interior air handler. They overbid it by $1,200 and then installed it incorrectly and just left. They knew the job wasn't finished but after three days of nobody coming to finish the job and I had to call them several times and threaten to sue them before they finally came back out. Then it still didn't work, and the tech told me the thermostat should have been replaced at the same time. It took several calls to the service manager to get them back out to finish the install. 2. During a quote to replace an interior air handler, they asked if they could have their plumber come out and propose a bid on the apartment's water heater. He quoted my wife over $1,200 to fix it (I later found a plumber who did the same work for $200) and when my wife began to ask questions, he became very aggressive with her and the AC techs had to intervene. I told her on the phone to ask him to leave. 3. I had purchased an annual service contract for them to come out and service for AC units. So I took a day off of work to meet them. After they didn't show up and several calls, they finally called me and told me the weather was too cold and rainy for them to do the work. This was 2:00 pm. The weather was sunny and 70 degrees. When I called Jake, the service manager, he seemed agitated at my complaint and told me they would refund the service contract cost...that they didn't want to do the maintenance work. 4. I had a condenser unit go out and when they sent the tech out to diagnose it, he lost all of the security screws to the security cage. I had to call the service manager Jake, eight times to get it resolved. He kept setting appointments for a tech to come out and source the screws and replace what he damaged. Finally after missing two appointments they simply gave me $50 to replace the screws. But before he offered to reimburse me, he wanted to sell me a condenser, which had already been replaced by another vendor. (it took almost two months to get this resolved.) I've dealt with bad contractors before, but never to this extent. Poor work quality and even worse service. I'm glad to have moved on. read more

I brought a brand new home in 2014, my heater stopped blowing heat last Dec. called Xtreme Air and they fixed the problem Yey, then in June the a/c stopped they charged Me almost 700.00 to fix it. OK here a year later the heater goes out again. Called Xtreme Air for the 3rd time, they tell me the zone board is out will be over 2.100.00 to fix.. well Damn new house what the heck,so I called someone else. The problem with the zone board the wires were connected wrong, wow that's the same thing Xtreme Air told me a year ago and charged me for fixing it. People watch out I smell a scam,either the technicians are not knowledgeable or they're scammers but watch out. GET A SECOND OPINION read more

I've had these folks come to my house three times now. The third time, they told me they needed to order and fix a part in my A/C. This was about 1.5 weeks ago. Since then, I've spent multiple times on hold with them trying to schedule an appointment. At one point, they went ahead and scheduled me without even asking if that day worked. The email said "call to find out time." So I did. They said between 8-10 a.m the following day. I took off from work, stayed home, and at 8:30 they called to let me know the person wouldn't be there till noon. I went back to my office, and called at 12:30 for an update. Tangela, the scheduler, then told me she would call them and see when they're coming. Thirty minutes later - nothing. I called back, and they said Tangela had gone to lunch. How nice that she should get to go to lunch while I am sitting at my desk trying to make up hours for when I'll need to leave. The dispatch lady told me to "stop getting frustrated at the right person," at which point I told her I'd like to cancel all of my service agreements with them. Let's see if anyone actually calls me back. In the meantime, I'd suggest avoiding this company like the plague. Their installers and workers are amazing and so helpful, but their dispatch and scheduling is an absolute joke. You're better off going with Willard or AdVent. Both are reliable and actually show up when they said they're going to. read more

Xtreme Air installed two new variable speed AC units in 2019, and followed up with regular maintenance every 6 months since then. Our upstairs unit quit working recently and Xtreme was called. It took a week to get an appointment with them and when they did come out we were given inconsistent information from one tech. A more experienced tech came out later that day and told us that we needed a new condenser and coil, to the tune of $13,500. We had difficulty understanding how warrantied parts could result in that big of an expense. We spoke to Eddy O., the owner, and were unimpressed with his explanation. We decided to pursue a second and third opinion with other companies only to be told that the original installation was done incorrectly - the air flow was undersized and unbalanced, contributing to a breakdown of the compressor, which in turn likely contaminated the coil. We were also informed that the wiring at installation was incorrect for a variable speed unit. We were told that routine maintenance should have picked up some of these issues as part of their routine checks, however they did not. I spoke with Eddy again after our 2nd and 3rd opinions, and was disappointed that he took no responsibility for the work his employees did at installation/maintenance. I will not be using them again, nor will I refer friends and family to them. read more

After quotes from several A/C dealers in the area, I found Xtreme Air Services gave me the best overall quote, which was both reasonable and for a unit that was well-sized to my home. Lindel could not have been more friendly and informative during the process, and his team were professional and did a great job on the install! I would recommend Xtreme Air Services again to any of my family and friends. Update: The safety switch on my A/C was triggered a few days ago because of a clog in our drainage lines (unrelated to the new install). Samuel came out on his lunch break and spent two hours to find the clog and fix the problem. He didn't charge us because of the recent A/C install. This is how you build a long-term customers, and we plan to engage Xtreme Air in the future. read more

Extremely dishonest company. They charged me to service my unit. When my AC unit failed this summer another company came out and showed me how no work was done. My unit was cover in filth. So they charged me for a service they did not provide. Completely mangled my filter on my inside unit, it was so bad that it was not working correctly and it was even put in backwards.
