3.8 stars. A bit Overpriced. Good CFM but you can find that CFM online as well. Squirrel cage exhausts are common, these filter designs are common, 900 CFM is very high and 2-3x what's in big boxed stores but they're available from many manufacturers online. They have installers that'll install it for $250-350. They'll last you 20 years, but so will many kitchen exhaust fans. Just keep it clean. read more

The range hood I got from them in November 2020 broke in December 2022, and their so called "10 year warranty" is only good for the motor of the fan, since mine was the power board issue, so I had to pay 80+ bucks for a new one, the unit worked fine for another two months after I replaced the power board, then it broke again, I will never buy from this place again. read more

I walked into the store to try and get some information about a kitchen remodel and some range hood technology. They were rude and seemed put off by me being there. The business owner told me they didn't have anything for me without asking me maquestions or communicating with me much. My suggestion to the business- get people that know how to do customer service and treat your potential customers well. The owner responded to my review and has me confused with another customer. I never expected them to do anything for free nor did I ask them to draw a design for my kitchen as I've already had that done professionally. Initially I called them before I went , to confirm if they had any range hood extensions , I told them I have one from a different store an he said we have extensions don't worry , so I sent me worker an they showed him everything they had an they told him bring your sample so we make sure we give you the right one and at the end after going to Los Angeles an back another person told my guy nope they don't have extensions any more , I don't know who the owner is but it suck that they said something an when we came back an said No after we told our customer hey don't worry we found a place that is going to help us . Usually I don't write reviews, but this place gave me the worst experience in buying, called in about a patio set and reserved it. when I got there I was about to pay for it. They told me it's sold for the other guy because he reserved it too?!!? It's not anyone's fault but them of course. What's the point of calling in and reserve something and drive 40 minutes to tell you it's sold. Next thing I was trying to workout something else and I was checking another set and the owner was like this one is reserved but I will sell it to you! Do you want me to throw my issue on someone else now? The prices in the show room are way different from the website or Facebook page. We went in and purchased a new hood for our island. When I asked the man what kind of hood I needed I advised him it was for an island. He should us the options that we had. We choose the hood and when we opened it the hood was used. It had tape on it and scratches and some dents on the edges. Also turned out that he sold us a hood that was not made for an island. So we drove back and spoke with the same man. He was a tall red head. I let him know he sold us the wrong hood and it was used. Instead of being polite and apologetic he was rude and was giving us attitude. The customer service was horrible. We ended up getting the correct hood but they had to show us 4 different hoods because they all seemed to have been opened used and returned. Not satisfied. read more

This place sells only one brand - Extreme Air - but 15 minutes later they came out and have one being shipped to the Sunshine State. They got a really awesome hood with LED controls, stainless steel, and man, this thing really sucks. Like, as in it's super powerful. This place will rip you off harder than a greedy car salesman. So, my husband and I are renovating our house so we came to look for an xtremeair range hood as we saw it advertised on the vietnamese channels. We looked on their website and found a range hood that we were interested in. Price was reasonable so we came in with the mindset of purchasing a new range hood. The salesman showed us the same model we saw online, we saw a sticker that says 20% off. Naturally I ask him if this range hood is on sale. He states the price is already with the 20% off. Ok. We told him that the price thats listed in store is $650 and their website is only listed at $571. The guy hesitantly response with "well, online charges tax on top of the listed price, in our store we list our prices with tax included, but I'll give you $20 off so $630". Ummmmm.. ok? I had a gut feeling something isnt right. We walk around looking at sinks and faucets and decided we're gonna think about buying the range hood instead of making an impulsive purchase. The next day, I start doing some research online on the rangehood model we saw the day before. I see Sears, Wayfair, rangehooddirectbuy.com(their website) selling the same model for $571 NO TAX and free shipping. I call the store to tell them that these websites are selling the range hood for $571 flat and no extra fees. The guy on the phone says he can price match so my husband and i went back into the store to make the purchase. A different sales guy greeted us and we told him we just called about price matching the range hood. He says "we can price match buy ill have to charge you tax". Wtf? Its the same thing! He comes up with the defense of these websites aren't in California so they don't charge tax. Do he think I'm dumb? If you want to charge customers extra so you can make a bigger profit by all means do so. But do not try to lie to me like I'm the dumb one. You, sir, are the one that looks like an idiot. Its a $60 difference, I'm not gonna nickel and dime everything but its the principle of how this place is running their business and tricking their customer into paying higher prices than they should. Its crap. I don't think this place is direct from xtremeair and have a feeling that they're selling as 3rd party. Save your time save your wallets. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. DISHONORABLE I came there and spoke with Ronald (Great Guy). He gave me a quote on a machine for $557 out of the door. He even wrote it down for me. However, I did not purchase it right away because I needed to make sure that the hood fits in my custom kitchen. So I told Ronald that I will come back once I get a confirmation from my Contractor. Ronald said that it's okay and the price he wrote down is good when I come back. The next day I was busy, but my wife went with the written quote and here is the problem. Ronald was not there, another Vietnamese Salesman greeted her and gave her a price of $590 no less. She then showed him the quote from Ronald but he said he would not honor it. She asked another Salesman (another Vietnamese guy) and he too would not honor the quote. Even though they both agreed that it was Ronald's hand writing but they still would not honor it. She asked to speak to the manager or the owner but they said they were not there. She has to wait for Ronald and when Ronald came in he gave us the deal that he gave us yesterday. No hassle. What is up with these Vietnamese Salesman. She bought the hood. But She had to argue and wasted her time for them to honor their quote. My kitchen is almost done. We just need this Range hood and we like XtremeAir Range hood. If I had the time or the options I would have told my wife to just leave. But we have no choice. Mind you, I am Vietnamese, but Ronald is the one you should do business with and make sure if they quote you a price talk to a manager or the owner to get the ok. read more

I purchased a range hood from this company 4 months ago. I have cleaned the filters every 2-3 weeks, wipe it down after every use. This item has started dripping oil by both its side seams. I have contacted this company via email, patiently sending numerous photos, videos that were requested, and spoke to the 'manager' Ronald - without any resolution to my problem (but he was polite and seems kind on the phone). After 4 calls (was told the ''engineer" is not in yet, and after that, the "engineer" does not work daily), he finally got us connected to Mike Truong, the owner/engineer - who was even more difficult to deal with. I finally spoke to "Mike Truong" who is the Manufacturing Engineer/inventor of this item without any avail. He was extremely difficult to understand, went off tangent about "people from China" - (I am not from China) and was very rude and unhelpful. He told us the oil drip pans are not designed to collected oil, that it is 'just there'. He then accused me of not reading the instruction menu (which we did, when the item arrived 4 months ago) and kept yelling on the phone "I love America, America is great" - completely off tangent and not helpful in fixing the issue. BUYER BEWARE! This company does not stand by their warranty (so called 10 years warranty advertised and stated in the manual). Won't even provide warranty on a 4 month old item. Go with zephyr. You will REGRET going with these jokers! read more
