Unreal! A perfect meal. Super nice, authentic Japanese dining experience. The fish was fresh and delicious. The specials were amazing. And the Wagyu seared sashimi was probably the best steak I've ever had. New favorite restaurant. AND FREE VALET PARKING. We'll be back soon.

We've now been to Ya!!Sushi a few times, and it's quickly become one of our favorite spots in Honolulu. It's a small, intimate space that really elevates the whole experience - especially if you can grab seats at the counter (which we always do). The omakase is consistently fantastic, with beautifully prepared sushi that highlights both quality and craftsmanship. You can really tell the chef takes pride in every piece. What keeps us coming back, though, is the combination of incredible food and genuinely warm, attentive service. The chef and staff make you feel welcome every time, and the cozy setting makes it feel like a special night out without being over the top. Bonus: it's BYOB, which makes the experience even more fun and personal - bring a favorite bottle and enjoy an incredible meal to match. If you're looking for a memorable sushi experience, this place absolutely delivers.

Very convenient parking by the valet, authentic Japanese sensei preparing the food. Atmosphere is touristy and a little Waikiki-strip cheesy. Yes was Japanese style service but the kind that is very ridged and not balanced out by the kind and pleasant zenny service that we really appreciate from high level Japanese restaurants. A little more insertion of " aloha" might be helpful.

Something is going on in a small sushi restaurant in Waikiki. It's like one of my favorite movies - east side sushi. In this place is a sushi chef that makes affordable omakase, has loyal followers and makes delicious sushi and sashimi! It's BYOB and yes, I grabbed a nice bottle of sake from Fujioka's and brought beer too! The service is fantastic and the sashimi was so fresh and good! The Leahi sushi roll was so good. I mean everything I ordered was great. It was so good I ordered two at times! The tako wasabi was so good and tasty! We shared sake with the chef and it was like Cheers in a small sushi bar in Waikiki. FREE VALET makes this place a winner!!!! As one of the locals said "don't take my reservation". They might be right. After this I may not be able to get in. Yes, I love this place. My wife loved it as well - it was her idea to go to this place. She's picking winners on Yelp!!!!'

Took my mother to this new sushi spot in waikiki, the sushi was really fresh and the price was okay. The servers and chief were primarily japanese, I think, really nice and welcoming when we entered the restaurant. The restaurant is small so go with smaller groups, otherwise you may need the whole restaurant space. If I recall correctly, theres about 20 to 25 seats in there.

In the last three month my husband and I went there at least 5 times. Everything is fresh. Sushi chef is super nice and all the sushi she makes you can tell she put her heart in. It's casual and BYOB. I will keep on coming back. Very cozy small sushi hole in the wall feeling.

Location at the Luana hotel is low key & easy access in the beginning of Waikiki which is nice. Walked in a greeted by the friendly staff and chef. Seated with reservations and BYOB! Omakase varieties were very good in combination and the price point is great too for the excellent quality! I just let the chef decide and she did a wonderful job!

Sushi and service were amazing! We came before our reservation and were seated immediately. I had the seared trio A which came with salmon, toro, and engawa (halibut fin!): so delicious! Husband had Ya!!Sushi Shaka, which he enjoyed and shared. This little restaurant is apparently the more casual version of the downtown location. Making reservations on the website did not work; making reservations via Yelp did work. Some parties were able to walk in. Someone brought his own whiskey. A party of five were seated at the sushi bar.

The Freshest Sushi I've Ever Had The sushi here is on a completely different level! The kind of freshness that makes you pause after the first bite because you can't believe fish can taste this clean and delicate. The tuna sashimi deserves its own paragraph. It practically melted the moment it hit my tongue, buttery and rich without being heavy, with that subtle ocean sweetness you only get when the fish is truly top‑tier!

Decided to try a new spot in Waikiki, YA!! SUSHI (@yasushibv) and wow, what a find. Their original location is in Downtown Honolulu, but this Waikiki spot has only been open for 8 months and is absolutely worth a visit. Incredible value for truly exquisite fish quality. We ordered the Ahi All Day platter (Tuna Sashimi 5pc, Tuna Nigiri 4pc, Spicy Tuna Roll), 4 pieces of Toro (caught off the coast of Spain), and the A5 Wagyu Volcano (A5 Wagyu fried rice topped with spicy tuna and a poached egg). Everything was perfection. This was honestly the best toro I've ever had -- melt-in-your-mouth soft with just a touch of wasabi and gold flakes. No firmness, no stringiness... literally the toro I dream of every time I order it. Service was great and the staff was super attentive. It's a small spot, so definitely make a reservation before you go. Adding this straight to my restaurant recommendation list. Can't wait to come back and try the omakase next time. FYI: BYOB

    Sashimi starter!

Congratulations for the second location!! The menu includes Appetizers, Nigiri, and rolls. It's Not Omakase style, so we can order by pieces and it's BYOB!! Loved chatting with sushi chefs at casual setting sushi spot! Definitely come back soon!

We impressed by the amazing service and beautiful dinning area... even when you sitting at the counter it feel like a high end sushi place in Japan. The Garlic Ponzu Fatty Tuna was rich, buttery, and balanced perfectly by the ponzu. The Seared Yuzu Jalapeño Tai Snapper added just enough citrus and heat without overpowering the fish. My favorite of the night was probably the Aburi Kinmedai with Umami Oil & Lemon--the light sear brought out the natural sweetness of the fish while the lemon kept everything bright and refreshing. I also really enjoyed the Oil-Soy Tai Snapper with Fresh Salsa, which felt perfect for summer, and the Crispy Spicy Tuna Bites added a nice crunchy contrast to all the nigiri. What I appreciate most about Onodera is that even though it's conveyor-belt sushi, the quality consistently feels elevated. The fish is fresh, the flavors are thoughtfully balanced, and every plate looks as good as it tastes. The Summer Menu is available for a limited time through August 31, so if you're a sushi lover, it's worth making a visit before these seasonal specials disappear.

After walking around, the hostess asked if we had a reservation. I gave her my name, but she said we didn't have one, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. She then explained that our reservation was actually at their sister restaurant around the other side of the building. We went over there and found that it was primarily a sushi restaurant, which wasn't really what we were looking for. We had expected more of an izakaya-style experience, so we canceled the reservation and returned to the original restaurant. Once seated, the service was good and our server was attentive throughout the meal. One thing that was a little confusing was that sushi and sashimi had to be ordered from the sister restaurant, even though we were dining in the other restaurant. The food was brought over and served to us without any issues, and there were no problems with the bill, but it took us a while to understand how the two restaurants operated together. We ordered several dishes, including chicken skin wrapped gyoza, crab tempura, an assorted sashimi platter, a cream cheese and fish roe appetizer served with toast, an egg dish topped with fish roe, chicken karaage, and the miso butterfish. The highlights for me were the chicken karaage, miso butterfish, and gyoza. I enjoyed them enough to order another round of the gyoza and chicken. That said, many of the dishes leaned toward the sweeter side of Japanese cuisine, which just isn't my personal preference. If you enjoy those flavors, your experience may be different. Overall, the food was good, the service was solid, and there were a few standout dishes. The confusion with the reservation, entrance setup, and relationship between the two restaurants got the evening off to an awkward start, but the meal improved once we were seated. I'm not really a Japanese food person, so four stars is probably the highest rating I could realistically give a Japanese restaurant. With that in mind, I thought they did a good job, and there were a few dishes I would consider ordering again.

Although they have a clean and comfortable space for dining in, we regularly stop by after church or on the weekends for something to savor at our favorite park. Seriously, it's easy to enjoy their bowls, sushi sets, or bentos anytime and anyplace. We've got a passion for this place. Here's how this love affair started...I discovered Domo when a friend invited me for some sushi and sips at her place. I was amazed at the beautiful platter of sushi that accompanied our sake and wine. My friends are the best hosts! I devoured the bombs, nigiris and rolls (in between sips!). Everything was simply delicious! Fast forward a few months, I order a couple sushi sets to host a poolside, golden-hour birthday get together at my other friend's home. (I know, you want to be part of this squad, right?!). Anyway, using the online order system is a snap! My hubby went in to pick up the sushi and said they were slammed but our sushi sets were ready to go. This time we ordered some ikura because the hubby and my bestie are big fans. Both agree it was fresh and fantastic! And the garlic set with the flash-seared fish and a hint of mayo is a MUST-try. We also ordered a California roll for my friend's aunt who is not really a sushi fan. She delighted in several pieces and even enjoyed the nigiri from the garlic set. Total convert! After enjoying the platters and sets, we had to try the bentos and bowls. This time it's just us and the pup at the park. The bentos provide a great variety and comes with miso soup. The hubby really likes the shrimp tempura with ahi and salmon nigiri and ahi poke. It's a steal at less than $20. I'm a bowl girl myself and like the spicy tempura. The tempura is cooked crisp yet tender. The spicy ahi poke combined with the creamy crab salad and the crunchy ocean salad delights all my tastes buds. It's truly an adventure in finding the perfect bite--and there are so many in this bowl! I also love the seared salmon bowl. It is melt-in-your-mouth goodness. I add the fried onions for some texture. You know a place is top-notch when you can feel confident that anything off their menu will satisfy your cravings. Service is fast and efficient if you're just walking in for a quick bite or to grab something to go. Parking has always been easy for us to find in the small lot in the complex where Domo is located. It's right next to Assagio's Kahala. But if you're worried about parking, I suggest ordering in advance and then just picking up. This works great during peak dining hours. If you want fresh, delicious sushi that is reasonably priced be like us and visit Domo Café. You will probably also be like us and want to go back to try more.

The garlic salmon didn't have too much smokiness which I liked. They are not stingy when filling the inari with the spicy ahi. I did online ordering for easy pick up since the parking lot can be filled during dinner rush.
