Was expecting sushi here to be amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small place but they did a great job with the layout to maximize number of tables/parties.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Loved the salad. It was perfect and the chirashi looked so elegant.

We got the chirashi bowl to go and it was fantastic. The fish was super flavorful with a great variety and really fresh quality throughout. Definitely worth the $40 -- honestly a ton of food too. Great takeout option if you're craving good sushi without the full sit-down experience.

Furasoto sushi was amazing! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a cute little spot located in Waikiki.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We visited on a Tuesday evening, and didn't have to wait to be seated. The staff was all very friendly and polite. I ordered the Diamond Head roll and it was some of the best sushi I've had! I will definitely be back.

Delicious and tasty sushi! It was very refreshing and diverse in flavors. Totally recommend this place on a good meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place is a little small, suggested for parties of 4 or less.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Otherwise, very delicious.

This place our eyes when we were walking past and we just knew we had to give it a try! Nestled in the heart of Waikiki is one of the best sushi places I have been to! If you're craving fresh and authentic sushi experience, this is it! We ordered Rainbow A! Every piece was so fresh! It was the perfect amount to share! The service was quick! We went at the perfect time. 2:45ish and it was right after the lunch rush. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved stepping into this restaurant because it felt like a piece of Japan. It is very clean and I love seeing fresh sushi at the counter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend this place! A must when you're in Waikiki!

One reason we absolutely love Hawaii is the fresh seafood, and our first visit to Furisato did not disappoint! We ordered the Waikiki Bridge, which came with 16 pieces of sushi rolls and 12 pieces of sashimi -- salmon, yellowtail, and tuna. Each bite melted in our mouths. For the quality and portion size, it was totally worth the price. We also enjoyed the hot sake, which had a light lychee flavor -- not too sweet, just perfect for our taste. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is quite small, so be prepared for a possible wait to get a table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere, however, was pleasantly balanced -- not too loud or crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff was friendly and welcoming, and even the bathrooms stood out with their beautiful décor and cleanliness.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, a wonderful dining experience -- fresh seafood, great service, and a cozy Hawaiian vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Went in for a drink and a couple pieces of nigiri. After having the salmon and the shrimp nigiri, I needed more... asap! I ended up ordering the golden c combination right after. I was left alone to enjoy my time to self, but whenever I looked up, the service was quick to acknowledge my wandering eyes. I'd say very attentive.

This restaurant is very close to our hotel in Waikiki. We walked past a few time and saw a lot of people inside and they do not accept reservations so we thought we are out of luck. Turns out during weekday lunch time it's not as busy, we went and got seated in just 5 minutes! Being a tourist on Waikiki beach, it's actually surprising to us to find out the meal price on their menu are rather reasonable, we ordered two set meals and they came quickly. The sushi chefs are very friendly and professional, greeting all the customers. The food are fresh and delicious. Have to give them a high mark for this.

The best sushi! The fish is SO fresh. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love how cute the restaurant is.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We could've eaten here everyday! The staff is very friendly and food came out quick. Also ordered the mini udon soup and loved that it came in such a perfect mini size. Go- to sushi spot in Waikiki!

The sushi was amazing! It was just what I was hoping it would be. I found this place just walking down the street. I was shocked how small it is! We put our name on the list and only had to wait about 15 minutes. It is decorated parsley but authentic. The staff was very nice.

Everything was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The sushi tasted high quality, the portions were generous, and every dish we tried felt carefully made. The service was friendly and the whole experience felt special from start to finish. Easily one of our favorite sushi spots in Hawaii, and we'll definitely be back.

We impressed by the amazing service and beautiful dinning area... even when you sitting at the counter it feel like a high end sushi place in Japan. The Garlic Ponzu Fatty Tuna was rich, buttery, and balanced perfectly by the ponzu. The Seared Yuzu Jalapeño Tai Snapper added just enough citrus and heat without overpowering the fish. My favorite of the night was probably the Aburi Kinmedai with Umami Oil & Lemon--the light sear brought out the natural sweetness of the fish while the lemon kept everything bright and refreshing. I also really enjoyed the Oil-Soy Tai Snapper with Fresh Salsa, which felt perfect for summer, and the Crispy Spicy Tuna Bites added a nice crunchy contrast to all the nigiri. What I appreciate most about Onodera is that even though it's conveyor-belt sushi, the quality consistently feels elevated. The fish is fresh, the flavors are thoughtfully balanced, and every plate looks as good as it tastes. The Summer Menu is available for a limited time through August 31, so if you're a sushi lover, it's worth making a visit before these seasonal specials disappear.

After walking around, the hostess asked if we had a reservation. I gave her my name, but she said we didn't have one, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. She then explained that our reservation was actually at their sister restaurant around the other side of the building. We went over there and found that it was primarily a sushi restaurant, which wasn't really what we were looking for. We had expected more of an izakaya-style experience, so we canceled the reservation and returned to the original restaurant. Once seated, the service was good and our server was attentive throughout the meal. One thing that was a little confusing was that sushi and sashimi had to be ordered from the sister restaurant, even though we were dining in the other restaurant. The food was brought over and served to us without any issues, and there were no problems with the bill, but it took us a while to understand how the two restaurants operated together. We ordered several dishes, including chicken skin wrapped gyoza, crab tempura, an assorted sashimi platter, a cream cheese and fish roe appetizer served with toast, an egg dish topped with fish roe, chicken karaage, and the miso butterfish. The highlights for me were the chicken karaage, miso butterfish, and gyoza. I enjoyed them enough to order another round of the gyoza and chicken. That said, many of the dishes leaned toward the sweeter side of Japanese cuisine, which just isn't my personal preference. If you enjoy those flavors, your experience may be different. Overall, the food was good, the service was solid, and there were a few standout dishes. The confusion with the reservation, entrance setup, and relationship between the two restaurants got the evening off to an awkward start, but the meal improved once we were seated. I'm not really a Japanese food person, so four stars is probably the highest rating I could realistically give a Japanese restaurant. With that in mind, I thought they did a good job, and there were a few dishes I would consider ordering again.

Although they have a clean and comfortable space for dining in, we regularly stop by after church or on the weekends for something to savor at our favorite park. Seriously, it's easy to enjoy their bowls, sushi sets, or bentos anytime and anyplace. We've got a passion for this place. Here's how this love affair started...I discovered Domo when a friend invited me for some sushi and sips at her place. I was amazed at the beautiful platter of sushi that accompanied our sake and wine. My friends are the best hosts! I devoured the bombs, nigiris and rolls (in between sips!). Everything was simply delicious! Fast forward a few months, I order a couple sushi sets to host a poolside, golden-hour birthday get together at my other friend's home. (I know, you want to be part of this squad, right?!). Anyway, using the online order system is a snap! My hubby went in to pick up the sushi and said they were slammed but our sushi sets were ready to go. This time we ordered some ikura because the hubby and my bestie are big fans. Both agree it was fresh and fantastic! And the garlic set with the flash-seared fish and a hint of mayo is a MUST-try. We also ordered a California roll for my friend's aunt who is not really a sushi fan. She delighted in several pieces and even enjoyed the nigiri from the garlic set. Total convert! After enjoying the platters and sets, we had to try the bentos and bowls. This time it's just us and the pup at the park. The bentos provide a great variety and comes with miso soup. The hubby really likes the shrimp tempura with ahi and salmon nigiri and ahi poke. It's a steal at less than $20. I'm a bowl girl myself and like the spicy tempura. The tempura is cooked crisp yet tender. The spicy ahi poke combined with the creamy crab salad and the crunchy ocean salad delights all my tastes buds. It's truly an adventure in finding the perfect bite--and there are so many in this bowl! I also love the seared salmon bowl. It is melt-in-your-mouth goodness. I add the fried onions for some texture. You know a place is top-notch when you can feel confident that anything off their menu will satisfy your cravings.
