This place was located in the business center downstairs at the food court. We had the lunch special Shrimp Tendon bowl and it came with rice and top with sauce and Shrimp tempura. and Miso soup. We also had Hot Edamame. The service was great the food was too and we left happy campers. For the price for the special it was a great value. Great experience!

Hubby and I came here after having a couples massage upstairs. We each ordered the shrimp tendon lunch special that included miso soup and we ordered edamame along with some drinks. The server was so sweet and made small talk with us. Our food came out and while it looks small it was quite filling. We both enjoyed everything and left very satisfied. The portions and price were great too.

I love this place, for the convenience, price, and quality. Every day they have the limited daily special sushi set, with way lower prices but the same high quality as everyone else. I watch them preparing the sushi together with everyone's. Such a good deal. My favourite is their shrimp and salmon ones, but other ones are just as good. If you are staying in the nearby hotels, this is a good place to get good sushi without breaking your wallet

This was our first stop in Hawaii after getting of the airport and being super hungry! They have great lunch options and super fresh fish, great quick meal!

sushi matsuri is located in stix in waikiki on the ground floor. You'll need to either walk down the stairs or take the elevator down. I think they validate parking if you do a minimum spend of $20. They also have kamaaina discounts too. for lunch they have a $10 nigiri sushi special (up to first 10 orders). You get 6 different nigiri options (kam discount does not apply to this promo). They allowed take out for this. i didnt dine in since i had my pup with me, but there were some tables outside too along the hallway. The sushi itself was pretty average - probably $10 good but not more than that. Service was really friendly, and it took about 5 minutes for them to prepare my order.

I can't even about this food, but first super clean, amazing service, and fast which was great news because I was hungry!!! I had the lunch special sashimi (even though it was 4:30). The sashimi was so beautiful I did not want it to end. Miso soup was the best I ever had and there was some savory egg custard that I have never tried before that I could eat off a flip flop and it would still be remarkable- the flavors!!! My husband had yellow tail sushi and a spicy tuna roll with chicks of tuna. I was lucky enough to get him to give up a piece- magic. I literally could have eaten there everyday while in Waikiki. It is worth it to sit in a sort of basement!!!!!

Great food, service, and ambiance at Sushi Matsuri! With a myriad of great places to dine at STIX ASIA in Waikiki, choosing gets difficult. STIX is an Asian foodhall located on lower level of the Waikiki Shopping Plaza, 2250 Kalakaua Ave between Seaside Ave and Royal Hawaiian Ave. We decided on Sushi Matsuri after checking their menu, which included Lunch Specials. We started with the $9.99 sushi sampler, which is limited per day and lucky for us was still available. I was torn between the Shrimp Tendon and Chirashi bowl. Ordered the tendon which was accompanied with miso soup. I'd order this again. The atmosphere was relaxing and aesthetically pleasing, in spite of being in a foodhall. Parking validated up to 2 hours on weekends and weekdays after 5 pm. Overall, an excellent casual dining experience!

Inside the Asian food hall lies Sushi Matsuri and this place does not disappoint. We ordered the chili, garlic, edamame, shrimp tempura, chirashi bowl, and the spicy tuna roll. The chirashi bowl comes with miso soup. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. I was quite impressed since their menu was limited. However, we were very full and happy. Service was fine, ambiance is simple and modern. I recommend visiting if you are in the area.

Matsuri Bowl, Takowasa, and Squid and Mentaiko

Found this little hidden gem in STIX Asia in the Waikīkī shopping plaza, lower floor. Considering this spot is in Waikiki, the price of the food for the quality and quantity is reasonable. I personally really enjoyed the takowasa, the squid with mentaiko, and the Matsuri bowl (chirashi). They also offered the 300ml bottle of Dassai sake (also decently reasonably priced considering the location) which I highly recommend to be paired with the food. We didn't order a lot of items as this was our first stop for our "Waikīkī adventure date-night" where we checkout multiple restaurants in the area. Parking is located in the building and is validated for 2hrs (huge plus and convenient). Recommend going early for dinner as it can get crowded.

They are located in sticks Asia food hall along with other restaurants. Very friendly staffs and great service. Not a big place, nice and clean. You can grab coupons for several places on the island from coupon books scattered at hotels or stores. And this place is included in the book. We really liked the special of the day, the 6-piece nigiri specials. The special of the day is quantity limited. The portion is not big for most of their dishes, so we ordered several things to share, family style. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was that the egg custard doesn't have any toppings. Overall, it's an enjoyable dining experience.

Nice place to get your sushi fix! This restaurant is located in Stix Asia, which is a food hall with various food options that's on the basement level of Waikiki Shopping Plaza. You can enter on Seaside Ave or Kalakaua, and you just look for the restaurant with the green noren at the entrance. I came on a Saturday night and was able to be seated promptly. Service was super attentive, and my food came out really quickly as well! I got the Matsuri bowl and the tofu salad. The bowl had an assortment of super fresh sashimi; the portion size was on the smaller size for the price, but it's to be expected since you're in Waiks. Tofu salad was not bad! Overall I thought this was a really nice place to get sushi if you're particularly craving it.

Just an aesthetically pleasing picture. IMO.

I had such a great experience at Sushi Matsuri in Waikīkī. The food and service were so delightful from start to finish. The spicy tuna tasted incredibly fresh, and the shrimp tempura was perfectly cooked -- light, crispy, and delicious. The atmosphere was also really comfortable, making it an easy place to relax and enjoy the meal. I'd definitely come back again!

My son and I are love the dinner selections and it's so delicious. I highly recommend this location the servers are amazing and fast we did not have a wait to be seated or to order. Love the vibe!

There are meals one enjoys. Meals one admires. Meals one respectfully documents, notes the flavor balance of, and later describes using words like "elegant" and "well-executed." And then there are meals that rock your world. This was one of them. Kaiten sushi, or conveyor belt sushi, is a casual, affordable Japanese dining style invented in 1958 where plates of sushi rotate on a motorized belt passing diners, allowing them to select dishes directly. Here at Kaiten Sushi Ginza Onodera, it's not the typical catwalk of pre-made maki rolls, nigiri, and other offering. You order off a kiosk and then it is fast-tracked to your table via sushi belt. Here at Kaiten Sushi Ginza Onodera, you are granted the ability to try their Edomae-style sushi for a more affordable price. Edomae-style sushi is a traditional Tokyo cuisine originating in the 1820s, featuring seafood, often cured, marinated, or simmered, served atop rice seasoned with red vinegar (akasu). It focuses on enhancing fish flavor through technique rather than just raw freshness, historically acting as fast food for 19th-century Edo residents. That said, dare I say the best meal I had during my stay on Oahu? I DARE! This was an excellent place suggested by Randy S. I really can't tell you all we had because Randy took charge but every bite? Certified bangers. Not one bad bite had. Pro-tip: If you want to feel like you are being mugged by Neptune, the God of the Sea, have the chawanmushi. Oceanic and delish!

I miss seeing the sushi chef in person. The sushi that I had was delicious and the preparations were unique (to me) the pieces were smallish, but so yummy. I would have ordered more but I was not very assertive and everyone wanted the iPad . Most of the nigiri orders were only one at the price point I am used to paying for two and I prefer the experience of sharing. My husband at the other table sampled more than I did. Deep fried Octopus and Toro, I had Yellow Tail and Carpacio, sample two rolls. Big surprise, the French fries were outstanding. The check worked out to about 50 pp. I think that was mostly my husband who enjoyed an array of dishes. As mentioned in other reviews, the bill stacks up quickly. I given them 4 stars for uniqueness, mostly.

Cold, clean, glistening with that dangerous little shimmer that tells you somebody in the supply chain actually cared. You can taste the quality immediately. The kind of quality that silences a table for half a second. And credit where it is due: almost everything I tried ranged from very good to genuinely great. But then the room begins speaking. And suddenly the spell breaks. The atmosphere feels like someone took a serious sushi counter, stripped away all sensuality, all elegance, all ritual, then dropped it inside a fluorescent island diner where exhausted civilians came to discuss parking validation and Costco receipts. It is the culinary equivalent of wearing a Rolex with orthopedic sneakers. The contradiction never stops humming beneath the experience. You sit there eating beautiful fish while surrounded by an energy that feels strangely... transactional. Heavy. Casual in the least flattering way. A room with no mystery. No seduction. No gravity. Like Zippy's accidentally wandered into the tuna trade and struck gold. And on an island like Oahu, where atmosphere matters almost as much as the fish itself that becomes a real problem. Because sushi is not merely consumption. It is theater.Restraint.Texture.Whispered precision. The best sushi spots on Oahu understand this instinctively. They understand that exceptional fish alone is not enough. You are paying for transportive experience. For mood. For elegance. For the feeling that the evening exists slightly outside ordinary life. At Mitch's, the fish reaches for Tokyo while the room drags you back toward a tired strip mall off the freeway. And then there's the crowd. Not evil people. Not rude people. Just an oddly low-rent energy orbiting genuinely premium seafood. The kind of room where one table is eating remarkable otoro while another feels one argument away from discussing used-car financing over soy sauce packets. It creates dissonance. Especially considering the prices. Because at those prices, you begin comparing the full experience not merely the fish quality and that is where Mitch's stumbles hard. There are multiple sushi spots across Oahu that equal or surpass the seafood while also delivering beauty, atmosphere, intimacy, and actual emotional texture. So what remains is this strange contradiction: Mitch's serves fish far above the dignity of its own ambience Which almost makes it fascinating. Would I be back - no . You can get same and better quality fish, much better vine, better part of town for the same Price.
