This was place incredible!!! The vibes were fantastic with beautiful decor as soon as you walk in. They had the World Cup game on and after that had beautiful traditional music playing. Per one of the waitresses, the meat is halal which is huge! The falafel was flavorful and not too dry. My friend and I split the appetizer platter and the lamb haneeth. We both walked out with some leftovers. The drinks were AMAZING!! We got the sana'a and the ibb. Fantastic flavors in both and both very rich and creamy

Really solid food. Good service and a nice space. We ordered meat & humus to start it was very good & filling. Then we had kabobs I had the rice & salad My hubs had the fries & salad. Amazing food. Huge portions and it is just as good layer. I had an interesting drink it was described as a honey latte with pistachio cream on top. It was good. Would come back and try something else.

Came here to say for lunch with a friend and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food! The baba ganoush was the best I've ever had! We both got sandwiches and they were unique- I do think I prefer tadziki over the other sauce in the gyro but it was still tasty. Service was attentive and ambiance is chill!

If this wasn't so far from me, I would be there at least once a week! The hummus is delicious and I enjoyed my meal a ton. I ordered chicken kabobs, which were so great. It's very clean and nice inside. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive, very great customer service! The portions are also very large, which is nice as well! Perfect for some leftovers.

We were around Wash park and decided to get some dinner from Yemen. I had seen a few videos on Tiktok about the shawarma here. We got the chicken shawarma, lamb skewers and the pistachio cake - and everything was absolutely amazing! The shawarma almost had creamy sauce which was unusual. The lamb and chicken shawarma were both perfectly seasoned and juicy. The pistachio cake however was the real surprise - not very sweet, airy, light and made with real pistachios! So glad I stopped by. Highly recommend this place and I will be back to try their other lamb options.

The best Mediterranean food I've tried in Colorado. I absolutely cannot wait to come back!

Denver just got a serious flavor upgrade. Yemen Grill & Cafe--already beloved in Aurora--just opened a new location in Denver, and I finally understand why people rave about it. Everything I tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The chicken kebab was the standout: juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. I also loved the mix appetizer, especially the falafel and baba ghanouj, and the chicken shawarma plate hit all the right notes. Don't sleep on the fresh mango juice--it's bright, refreshing, and addictive. Oh, and the baklava? The perfect sweet finish. This place delivers on both taste and hospitality. If you're craving bold Middle Eastern flavors in a cozy, no-fuss setting, this new spot is absolutely worth a visit. So glad they brought this gem to the city!

one of the main highlights of my denver visit. the food was exceedingly delightful, the service was lovely, and the decor was stunning. i loved every bit of this, and i am absolutely coming back the next chance i get. we got a combo platter which came with chicken and lamb (in kebab and not kebab form), and i got some mango matcha drink which was absolutely amazing. the platter had hummus, salad, and rice. all of it came together harmoniously with the chicken and lamb; the flavors were dazzling and bombastic. give this place a try, you wont regret it!!!

We ordered two family platters as we're 8 people. It comes with juice so we got the mango one and we substituted one for chai as well. The chicken Mandi was not that good but the other meat was very good. We were all so full. The workers are attentive as well and super nice. He accommodated us as we were a big party. There was a carpet on the wall and there was a back home incense smell that felt like you were back home. The best place to eat at I would definitely recommend.

While the food here is still solid- it is no longer my favorite middle eastern grill spot in the broader Denver metro. The service is a little too cheeky and lackadaisical at this price point to garner my undivided recommendation. Also, most of the smoothies were sold out by 8pm which is a hallmark of this establishment. When we arrived there were several open tables but it took five minutes for someone to help us- they proceeded to tell us there is a 15-20 minute wait but after pushing back we were seated in less than a minute.

The food is actually so freaking delicious. Always a big portion with extra for leftovers. Falafels were falafeltastic, Lauren is a gem. Excellent customer service.

Pita bread from a corner store

This is NOT Yemen Grill , this is Yemen grill &cafe total different and definitely disappointed not authentic at all, no Yemeni restaurant would serve pita bread and the lamb dish was so dry it was disgusting, what Yemeni salta is served like this only vegetables for $27 a plate. Service was not great I called her over to take my order and she stopped at a table that came after me to put their order in first, left most of the food and walked out paying over $70 for 2 people 0/10 for sure

I agree with all the 5-star reviews! Our first meal here was so delicious!! We had the gyro plate and the gyro sandwich (which is a grilled wrap) to go. They were both incredible! The sandwich was probably the best, though it was a little oily. The rice and salad on the gyro plate were delicious, but of course the meat was the star. 100% we will be back.

Their pita is clearly authentic and made in house. I tried the cheesecake and it was easily one of the best I've ever had. Each bite was a delight! Their flavor is what sets them apart & they're also generous with their portions. $31 for the chicken kabob plate with added hummus, a drink, and the cheesecake. Not quite a steal, but the meal is absolutely satisfactory. This place is quality you can have at 3 a.m which is rare. The atmosphere is relaxed, I enjoy the lighting as it's more of a gentle glow rather than bright lights in your face. It feels open and chill. I had been hearing about Jerusalem for years. In Denver, it has that kind of local-legend status…read morewhere if you have lived here long enough, especially anywhere near DU, people talk about it like it is both a restaurant and a formative life experience. And yet in nearly twenty years of living here, I had never actually gone. Which is absurd, because it is maybe no more than ten minutes from my house. So a few weeks ago, I finally made the effort. First surprise: there is a parking lot. This alone deserves acknowledgment in this busy part of town. Second surprise: the parking lot appears to contain roughly 6.7 parking spaces. I got lucky and managed to squeeze into what felt like 1.3 of them. It is not so much parking as a close encounter. Then you notice the outdoor plastic tent seating setup, which I assume exists because inside there is room for approximately 13.4 people, which feels statistically consistent with the parking situation. The whole thing has a kind of orderly chaos to it. But from the second I walked in, the feeling was one of warmth. Really warm. Before I could even properly take in the giant glass cases full of baklava and other Middle Eastern sweets, I was greeted enthusiastically. The menu hangs above the cases, and the man taking orders, who I assume was the owner or a relative, had exactly the kind of energy that makes a place feel beloved. When I asked if he was ready to take my order, he smiled and said, "I'm always ready." It was funny, kind, and genuinely charming. I ordered baba ghanouj, hummus, fattoush, and a lamb shawarma sandwich to go. It was around 4:30 pm, which may have been a strategic masterstroke on my part because the place seemed a bit quiet. I actually got a seat while I waited, which felt like winning a small lottery. Another very friendly younger guy brought me my order out, and the service from start to finish was excellent. Truly. I left thinking, okay, I get why people love this place. Then I got home. I unpacked everything like I was settling in for a very specific kind of evening: random Netflix, adult beverage, no plans, full commitment to carbohydrates and emotional detachment. There I was, alone with my feast, ready for the Denver legend to reveal itself. And to their credit, they had included a whole bag of pita with the dips, which made me feel briefly rich. Then came the first uh-oh. The pita was dry and brittle. Not stale, exactly. Just structurally unsound. This was not pita with confidence. This was pita that had already given up on itself. It was simply not up to the task of being dragged through hummus and baba with gusto. The baba ghanouj was very smooth and only faintly smoky. Perfectly decent, but not my favorite take on it. I like baba with a little more personality, a little more drama, maybe a little more of that "yes, an eggplant absolutely died for this" energy. This one was polite. The hummus followed the same pattern. Smooth, fine, edible, but lacking the depth and garlic I wanted. Again, not bad. Just muted. It tasted like it was trying not to offend anyone, including people who do not especially like hummus. The one standout was the fattoush. Fresh, bright, and by far the best thing I ate. That was the dish that had some lift. It did not include the toasted pita I usually expect in fattoush, and I missed that crunch, but it still had the most life of anything in my order. Then I went for the lamb shawarma sandwich, and this is where things turned from mildly disappointing to physically illustrative. I picked it up, and the sandwich immediately started falling apart. Meat and sauce began leaking out like the whole structure had been assembled on hope and optimism. The lamb itself was fine, but overall it was bland. Not aggressively bad. Just not remotely worth the hype. And that is where I decided: I liked the people more than the food. Jerusalem has charm. The service was genuinely kind. The owner seemed lovely. It feels local in a real way, and I want places like this to thrive. I can absolutely imagine that for college kids, especially hungry ones near DU, this place hits exactly right. Big plates, convenient location, late-ish hours, comforting reputation, and probably some nostalgia mixed in. I like that. But sometimes the college kids are just wrong. Or maybe not wrong exactly. Maybe just young. Maybe this is less about quality and more about palate, timing, appetite, or being twenty-one and convinced that proximity to campus plus a full stomach equals greatness. That is a beautiful stage of life. I support it. But my middle-aged ass was at home with Netflix, evaluating bread integrity and garlic depth, and from that vantage point, Jerusalem just was not for me. So: three stars. Very kind service. Real neighborhood character. A warm and welcoming experience. But food-wise, not enough flavor, not enough texture, and not enough reason for me to head back anytime soon.

Super tiny parking lot that only has a few spots, but plenty of street parking nearby. Inside is clean enough, but definitely doesn't sparkle. If you want to dine in for dinner, then I suggest arriving around or before 5 because the place fills up fast. Otherwise, be prepared to wait for a table. My co-worker tells me that the best thing to get is the special. So that's what I always get, and I never ever regret it. Special is the way to go. You get a nice variety of meats, garnished with onion and tomato, and a side of rice and flat bread. It comes out sizzling on a hot, shallow wok-like tray. It always comes with chicken breast chunks, shavings of gyro meat, and then whatever else he's made for the day. One on occasion, it was chicken quarters, lamb, and a sort of stewed beef. On another occasion, it was filet mignon, strip steak, and something else I can't recall. Generous portions, as it feeds 2-3 people. Great value. The chef/owner really cares too. One time, we were pressed for time, so we only ate a bit and asked for to-go boxes and a check. He had a very concerned expression on his face and asked if the food was alright. I assured him that it was great, but we needed to go to an appointment. Sometimes there's only 1 person working there (chef/server/cashier/busser). When that happens, don't be shocked if things aren't blazing fast. Be understanding, and support small businesses. This easily qualifies as a hidden gem.

I personally am not a huge fan of this type of food, but I decided to order fries, and I have to say, the seasoning on them was absolutely delicious. I liked them so much that I even asked for extra, which is always a good sign. I was a little upset, though, because I had planned to get a grilled cheese and tomato soup. Unfortunately, this location didn't have it on the menu. Don't laugh at me, but I suggested this spot because the Phoenix location I've been to multiple times sells a really good grilled cheese and tomato soup, which is why I thought it would be perfect for a late-night meal after the club. It was a bit of a disappointment to find that the menu wasn't consistent between locations. Other than that discrepancy, everything else was great. The food we did have was tasty, the drinks were good, and the overall experience was enjoyable. The vibe is very much a college town feel, which makes sense since it's right near DU. It's casual, lively, and a fun place to grab a bite late at night, especially after an event or night out. Overall, I'd come back again, but next time I'll double-check the menu at this location first if I'm craving something specific like the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Other than that, solid service, tasty food, and a fun, college-town atmosphere.
