a bento box with a variety of food items

We are in Corydon on vacation from California and we frequently eat at Japanese restaurants. Found this on a search and so glad we did! Bento boxes are amazing as are the California rolls. Excellent experience. We will come back again before we leave this area next week.

Stop in because there are a ton of fast foods around. This was one a maybe a couple restaurants nearby. Had the gyoza, pretty good. Entree wasps the steak and shrimp combo with fried rice. Accompanied by miso soup and salad. The steak was actually very tender, better than I expected. I liked the fried rice, slightly crispy. The sauce for the fish I thought was a little bit salty for me. The shrimp was okay, slightly over cooked. I did not partake in the raw dishes here. The staff was friendly and attentive. Looked like some regulars popping in while I was dining.

Decent quick stop. I had the bento sushi box and she had the combination chicken and shrimp. The miso soup is great. The ginger sauce is low quality. Great hibachi for a lower price than normal.

Onion soup... deep flavor of onion and beef broth!

Delicious! The ginger sauce and yum yum sauce are made in house! Packed full of flavor. The onion soup is packed with beefy, oniony goodness!! Hibachi dinners were great. We had filet and shrimp. Tender and tasty. Veggies were cooked to perfection! Great amount of food for a small price!!

It was a good place to eat when it first opened. Now the servers are terrible and rude. I won't waste my money here again!

I went to Kansai for a birthday dinner and was extremely disappointed with the experience. It took…read moreabout 10 minutes just to get our drinks, but that wasn't even the biggest issue. For almost our entire meal, two children--who we were later told were the owner's kids--were on one side of the restaurant throwing a toy back and forth as hard as they could. This went on nonstop. At one point, the toy flew past our table and hit the wall. I was shocked that no one stepped in or asked them to stop, especially with customers trying to enjoy a meal that cost over $100. We mentioned our concerns to our waitress, who apologized and explained that the kids "usually don't do that when it's this busy." She did speak to the owner, and the kids finally stopped, but the owner never came over to apologize or acknowledge the situation at all. Between the slow service, the chaotic environment, and the complete lack of professionalism from management, this was a very disappointing experience. I won't be returning.

My partner has a shellfish allergy and they always adjust our sushi rolls for us, no problem. We really really appreciate the service here! I also love that they feature a few special rolls that aren't on the menu each time! They have them displayed by the sushi counter. It's fun to see what's new and try something different. We always look forward to seeing what new roll they've created. Highly recommend!!

We also ordered the chicken adobo with pancit and lumpia. The chicken adobo and pancit were also good, but the chicken was a bit dry. Lumpia was great. This was a brief visit but not the last. Prior to this…read morevisit, my one and only experience was when they had their food truck. It is nice to see them with a brick and mortar. The owner/chef was nice to introduce herself and I'll hopefully get the chance to engage with her more on my next visit. The presentation and flavor of my chosen dish was excellent. More food than my stomach can handle which is a good thing when it comes to value for what you pay. The portion is enough for two of me. Thus, there's a doggie bag for later. If there was a combo that reduced the portion with 2 pieces of lumpia and a drink, it would definitely increase the value of the experience. In the pic posted, the true name of the dish is labeled. When you go to the restaurant, you won't see it. Not because they don't know what the dish is but because they may believe you won't order it in confusion of the name. It is nice to see this dish represented and hopefully the locals of Brandenburg will be willing to learn more about Filipino dishes to understand the pride and culture of the heritage. They do honor a military discount. The next visit will be intended for a longer visit and more food to try. Thank you to the owners for bringing the spirit of our people to Meade county.
