The wait time was insanely long.we had a reservation for a birthday party on February 11,2023.The wait staff was polite although many times we never received things we asked for.we waited an hour on food.my kids chicken fingers were so rubbery that my six year old could only chew it and spit it out.My steak was also impossible to chew..I had chicken fingers and shrimp with my players and the only item that was edible was the shrimp. I had rice as a side jevause the waitress recommended it,but it was bland.it tasted like hospital food.no seasoning.no flavor. Just basic.The woman at the register also was rude to my teen son who was brining in a gift for the party. Stay away. Order take out like we have over the past few months now. But this time. The place was pack. I mean really pack. No social distance. Wearing an mask was not mandate. Some employees were and some wasn't. And if they did. It was half on and half off. They had salad bar. Which anyone could go up pack their plates. Just an small sign. Just saying please wear an mask. That was an joke. I was sitting in the corner just watching and waiting for our order to be ready. Found an ad in the back of the Hampton Inn guest services book for this restaurant and others and couldn't decide where to go. So we decided to head for Winfield and knew we would pass restaurants along the way. As we approached Yampertown, we saw the lot was full of cars. I told my wife, either this is the place to eat, or they are selling cars as well as running a restaurant. We were seated and found the menu to be varied. They have a daily special, which I passed on, but would have normally ordered because it was shrimp. We settled on the senior menu, and specifically, the hamburger steak. You get two sides with the steak, so I chose a baked potato and one trip to the salad bar. The salad bar was adequate, nothing special. Everything was fresh and being refreshed as I was there. When the meal arrived, the hamburger steaks were huge. There was enough meat for two seniors. The only disappointment for me was, they served plastic butter (no butter but all oil) with the baked. I went there on Feb.9,2018. I was with 2 young ladies who happened to be white. I am black. When we went in we got stares from the staff. We ordered our food and it was given to us AFTER other people that came after us was served. I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE of color! It was back to the 60's. read more
