I was unfortunately in an accident, and SRPD contacted the AAA provider, Yarbrough Bros. The car was towed to their storage lot until my insurance company came and got it. I was unable to get to the YB lot in time to collect my belongings, so the staff at YB did it for me. I spoke to Suzanne on the phone as she called me to keep me updated, and she was so kind and helpful. When we arrived at the YB office, Suzanne and two other staffers helped carry all my stuff to my friend's car. Considering the circumstances and the amount of stuff, it was pretty well packed, which they did not have to do. They were so respectful and kind, and I felt like they went above and beyond. I had a classic car that wasn't running and had been sitting for years, so the tires were basically locked up. On top of that, the car was in a tight garage with zero room for error. Kevin knew exactly what to do--he brought out special moving plates and used them with so much skill to safely guide the car out, load it, and unload it at the new spot. I needed a tow for my dead vehicle, and the technician that was sent (Justin) knew - from start to finish - what to do to bring the vehicle back from the dead, and to get it loaded. He also brought the proper type of equipment (flatbed). I've had a few experiences with Yarbrough (a few times to tow my old '50s truck back to my house after a joyride gone wrong), and they've been quick, knowledgeable and professional each time. Yarborough responded to a AAA request for a jump start. They refused to help me because I couldnt find my ID. (Okay that's the rule except nobody else ever even asks) Then they said theyd jump start the car for $70 CASH. The next day I got a text to complete a survey for the service. So they charged AAA anyway and tried to double dip for $70 cash! You can have door dash bring you a portable jumper for $100. These people are theives. read more

It depends on who they send..the first large Hispanic man was very rude, wouldn't even shut off his engine to explain the procedure, obviously he didn't want to work because he talked us out of the tow by telling us he needed to charge extra and canceled himself. When we asked to pay for the extra mile he refused in a very nasty way. Never shut off his engine BTW. Super unprofessional. Called back AAA the dispatcher said another truck would be 1 hr. But Chuck showed up in about 10 minutes. Nicest guy on the planet. He waited past the designated time for a signature and it was cold. He drove me and my child home safely and was just very pleasant and professional. So again, depends who answers the call. read more

Okay so a few days ago I called and asked a question on the phone about someone coming out and changing my tire the lady told me on the phone it would not be an issue and that a driver would be sent over the driver came and was kind of rude and he looked at my tire and stated he was not able to fix my tire I told him that I had spoke with a lady on the phone that said it wouldn't be an issue he just needed to mount the tire on the vehicle he outright refused said there's nothing he could do and drove away I was then forced to go without my vehicle for another two days to get into a tire shop I called them again this morning to give them another chance and see if they could get me a tow over to the shop the lady I spoke with before answered the phone again and before I could even finish what I was saying she tells me she doesn't have a driver at all and no one there can help me absolutely ridiculous stay away from this business I used to be a loyal customer but not anymore I'll call performance next time! All my extra money that was for Christmas now has to go to pay off the tow crooks, shame on them! They lied and gaslighted me, and they basically stole my car from me in broad daylight. Had my ram 2500 towed under a 48 hour hold due to a separate matter once that 48 hour hold was done went and got the right documents (Release form) and fees were waved fiance and I went to the tow yard the following day and were denied being able to take procession of my truck due to " release form has to be the same day you have to get a new one" went back to the police station for them to say what? "No this one will work just fine." And because of timing we couldn't make it back on time and it being Friday meant having to wait over the weekend till Monday and unfortunately due to me having stage 3 heart failure I had complications and have been in and out of the hospital. 3 weeks went by with a few attempts to pick up the truck to be denied for some reason after they had made a copy of the original release form the first time. Now the fees were 3400 on Thursday May 1 then on May 2nd it was 2800 and as of Monday May 6 they are back to 3200 and still won't release the truck when they should have originally back on April 8th when we first went in and shouldn't have had to pay anything due to SRPD waving the fees you guys took advantage of us and didn't do what legally supposed to do by releasing my truck when everything was paid for and when we had the proper documentation. What you guys have done is wrong on so many levels I havent been able to make all my doctors appointments due to not having a vehicle for my heart can't do my day to day activities I can't walk very far because my legs will swell up and being short of breath it's wrong and I'm planning to make as much noise as I can to let everyone understand that you guys are shady break the law didnt even load my truck right with it being in park and E brake engaged with your driver a 8700 lb 4 wheel drive diesel pick up along asphalt and on to the truck (no Dolly's or skates) have it on video and so does I wonder how my transfer case is and transmission........ I show up with papers showing the car is Clear and set to be released, once I finally was taken to my car the mechanic who took me too it felt it necessary to try and tell me that I shouldn't park in the same area (AKA my Home street) or they will be sent back out there for my car. my car broke down suddenly at the store and would not crank or start. Justin responded and quickly determined it might be the starter. He had me turn the key while he tapped the stater under the hood to jar it. sure enough, it started right up and I was able to drive the repair shop instead of getting towed. Car did the same at the shop so it did need a new stater. Justin really saved me a lot of trouble by getting it running so I could more easily get it in for a diagnostic. Ok, I had a very complicated situation involving Yarbrough brothers and a mechanics shop, but Robert Yarbrough really came through in a stand up way. This is what happened: I had a flat, so since I have AAA, I called for them to come change the tire. A really nice guy showed up, did the work, and I liked him a lot! He put on my spare, and I drove back to Sonoma, where I live, to get a new tire. This is where it got complicated. At my normal shop, while I was waiting, they called me into the shop area and showed me 3 lug nuts that would not come off the studs. They told me that the nuts had been tightened too much, or had been cross threaded. Now I'm not a mechanic and don't pretend to be, so they said they would make a separate invoice for that part, that I could submit to the tow company for reimbursement, in the amount of $224. I had had a bunch of work done that day that I had been putting off, including new tires, brakes, and an alignment too, so I was like okay, thank you. So I later went up to Yarbrough brothers and went and talked to Robert Yarbrough, who said he would investigate and get back to me. Well I didn't hear back for a long time, so I went back again and found out that AAA was supposed to have contacted me, because they had determined, after looking at who my tow driver was, and what truck he was in, that it was IMPOSSIBLE for them to have over tightened the nuts like that because there was no impact gun on that particular truck, and he believed that the lug but issue was caused by the SHOP using the impact gun for TIGHTENING instead of LOOSENING, on accident, causing them to be impossible to remove. He further explained that he has run into this problem with some other Santa Rosa shops, who were repeatedly doing this, causing damage, and then blaming the tow company! Scandalous! He was very nice though, and promised to help me get to the bottom of it. He called my Sonoma shop and explained the situation to them, and they basically told him to kick rocks, instead of working with him to figure out how best to handle it. This of course brings into question the shops integrity, and this is a shop I've been taking all my cars to for nearly 20 years. Both Robert and the AAA claim reviewer both determined that the tow driver would not have been able to cause the issue with just a hand tightening of the nuts, either by over tightening or cross threading, and so I was basically screwed out of BOTH $224 AND what I saw as my reliable and honest shop for car work! But Robert didn't leave it at that. He offered to pay half of the total, even though he didn't believe that his tow truck driver caused the issue. I didn't believe it either by this point. I received a check from Robert Yarbrough for half of the total, which is certainly better than nothing, and in my opinion it represents customer service and care for customers far above and beyond what was legally required, and I needed to come here and let everyone know that Yarbrough brothers is the real deal when it comes to making sure their customers are taken care of. So today I witnessed an 88 yr old lady car broken down waiting for your tow ... not only did she wait almost 3 hrs to get her car jumped .. your first tech came out and was bothered and doesn't follow basic rules of a one way business parking lot so he left when asked to pull in proper !! Would not call this company to tow a skateboard. AAA sent them to help us with our truck, broken down 3 doors down from the towing company at our trailer storage place. It took at least an hour for them to arrive but we were grateful when they arrived. Truck could not be loaded in the position it broke down. Driver had no clue what to do. My husband offered to help push it to turn it around 90 degrees. The driver tried pushing it one time. He slipped on the gravel. He walked away saying it was 'inaccessible' and said he was canceling the call. WTH? We called for help but we're abandoned because it was 'too hard?' He could not call his office for help? It was 5 minute walk to their yard! What were we supposed to do ? My husband asked the guys working in the RV place to help us push the truck. He asked the driver to wait two minutes. Driver refused. Said he canceled the calll. Told husband to call back AAA. Two minutes later we called back AAA. They said truck would be there in two hours. i drove to the gate of the towing company in my car. I had been traveling separately from our camping trip so I also had my car. The flatbed was sitting in the driveway of the tow yard. I called them. They refused to come back. And as many have mentioned in reviews, the woman answering the call was rude and combative. Her attitude was 'too bad, we won't help you'. And yes, she hung up on me. Very unprofessional. And very incompetent. I've never seen a tow company with such an inability to do a job. This was not rocket science . The driver could not solve the problem and left us stranded. I'm filing a complaint. Im hoping they get fined but I'm not holding my breath. One star is too generous. read more

beware of this towing company i just needed a jump and they chose to park in a very hazardous way blocking the entire street and he sat in his truck forever even after the jump was done. There was plenty of open parking to, he decided to block a busy street for no reason around a blind corner extremely unsafe and easily avoidable. when asked to move to a safer spot right in front of him (he had like 5 better options), i was just starred down bu some old bald guy that look like a hostile uncle fester and he refused. he just blankly stared at me. he purposely chose to create a hazard and be a hazard to everyone else. read more

Friday afternoon and I rushed home (1 mile from school) when my class was at lunch. As I pull into the school parking lot my tire pressure sensor said my tire was at 19#!! I use the AAA app and within 30 min Andrew arrived. I've never had a flat on this truck. Andrew figured out the where the key was to unlock the spare and the socket thing for the rims.
