Our Subaru Forester broke down at the beginning of our anniversary getaway on the North Sonoma coast. On a weekend, with no garages and few towing services open nearby, we were left stranded with no way to get around, including to the grocery store to buy food for our stay. We needed to get our car back to the dealership in Santa Rosa so we could get it fixed and arrange for a rental car. We spent hours on the phone with AAA trying to arrange a tow, only to have one company cancel on us and another pushing back their ETA by 5-6 hours and generally acting rude/annoyed. When we explained our dilemma to Santa Rosa Towing Service, they kindly agreed to see what they could do, even though our location was technically further away than the areas they technically serve. The dispatchers were friendly and communicative, and they were able to get a truck to us within two hours of calling. When you're stranded on the side of the road at 10:30 pm on a Sunday all you want is a decent tow. Anthony at Santa Rosa Towing Service didn't even provide that. Amazing tow = 5 Great tow = 4 Decent tow = 3 Barely decent = 2 Lies = 1 I have a 7 lbs service dog for severe panic attacks. One would assume getting ran off the road into construction cones and busting my radiator would fit this category. Apparently not Anthony... I was told my dog had to sit in the car being towed because people are allergic. That's ok, Doug is hypoallergenic so it's fine. NOPE, apparently that isn't a thing.... I needed a short tow in Santa Rosa. I called and the dispatcher said it would be about an hour and they would call before. Their driver called in 20 minutes and said he would arrive in 15 minutes. Santa Rosa Towing did an excellent job of providing service. They picked up at the correct address and delivered to the correct address. Their prices are reasonable, my 5 mile tow was $85.00. read more

I left my interior light on in my car over night and found the battery dead this morning. I knew I had Roadside Assistance with State Farm, but, never having used it, I wasn't sure how to utilize it. Google searches led me to believe that I had to front the money and then submit a claim, so I called this company and they gave me an estimate of about 25 minutes for the truck to be here. 15 min. later, the truck arrived! And Ron, the driver, was so nice and polite, and had my car started in about 2 seconds flat. When I went to hand him my credit card, he asked if I have State Farm. When I said yes, he told me they would just bill State Farm directly! WOO HOOOO!! BTW the charge for the jump was $55. Nice that I didn't have to go through the hassle of submitting a claim. These guys are really awesome, and if i ever need a tow truck again, I'm definitely calling them. read more

Great service. I was stuck in Sepastopol Sunday night with a burnt out alternator (I think) and AAA couldn't find anyone to tow me back to San Francisco, saying I'd have to wait until Monday morning - WTF - my car was in a parking lot not even well parked. It'd either be vandalized, impounded, or keyed (or all of the above). I made a call to these guys and they offered to tow it back to SF for 400 bucks (cheap compared to what it could have been). The service was very professional and seamless. I'd recommend these guys again to anyone needing a tow. Now let's see how much AAA will reimburse me. read more

Wow! Just Wow! Through a long series of events, I ended up as the only possible option to rescue a friend's vehicle. It had two flat tires and was stuck in someone's garage, and Chuck in the Yellow Truck saved me, and tool an enormous, massive, stress off of me. I think that he went above and beyond, but he charged me the amount which the office had told me was a 'possible' amount - I totally did not expect that the number that they gave me was a complete quote. I had asked 'about what would this cost' and they gave me an estimate, and they stuck to it even though Chuck had to do some extra work. They are great. Thank you! read more

My car broke down yesterday evening. I phoned AAA, they dispatched an agent from Santa Rosa Towing. Their ETA was given as 6:30, yet Rich of SR Towing showed up earlier at 6:20ish. I explained the ignition cut out on the way home. Rich felt it was fuel related. After trying to start it, which I know is mandatory, he quickly hoisted my car onto his flatbed as I returned inside to arrange a ride home from my generous roommate. On the ride to the shop, Rich was maybe doing too many things with his hands, and found himself perhaps distracted by the cb radio. He found the shop no problem, and only needed all of 3 or 4 minutes to unload my beast and be on his way. Nothing spectacular, just fast reasonable work. Would have been 4 stars had Rich grown a manlier mustache beforehand. Hey, that's important to me. read more

Janet at the tow yard was exceptionally empathetic for our situation and very helpful with the process of getting our belongings out of my daughters crashed car and working with the insurance adjuster. I just used their service for a 2 block tow. Not only did they charge me $160 but also warned me that if they had to wait I would be charged an extra $50. My person waited 45 minutes past the time they were to show and they didn't have the curtesy to call to say they wouldd be late. I called Rosas and told them that my person waited for 45 mins and went home. They preceded to tell me that they wouldn't charge me the $50 (oh how gracious, idiots!) They didn't pick up my vehicle until 1 1/2 hours past the specified time. I told them I would bill them for my persons time waiting on them. They said they wouldn't pay it because they don't pay charges like that. Please do not use their service EVER!!!! read more

Got a flat, called a couple of local tows, they said it would be an hour or more, high $$ quotes, so glad I kept going down the list and called Santa Rosa Tow (which is merged with Cloverdale Tow & All City Tow), what a relief, said they could get to me in 30 minutes and a quote so much more reasonable than the others. It turned out Chris was there in a little over 10 minutes with his competent, professional attitude and great service. Meanwhile, my battery died from having the headlights and flashers on, so for very little extra $$ he charged the battery. Needed my 91 Celica towed this morning. Very quick response time, driver was really polite and able to work with me seeing as it was not a normal tow since it is an all wheel drive car but I removed the engine, trans and driveshafts. He was very professional and skilled at lining it up exactly as I needed it at my house. Price was very fair. Good people, I highly recommend and will use again. read more

Clutch went out in my work truck and needed a tow as quick as possible. Called S.R.towing and dispatch told me within the hour. Hour and a half later I called back and they said sorry but a couple of calls came in and they took care of those ones first but should be there within the hour. Uhhhh no. There are a few reasons for this low rating.... I called for a tow and was told the driver would be with me in 1 hour. 1.5 hours later, I called to see how the driver was faring, as he was late. I was told he had to drop off a vehicle, then he would be on the way. No biggy, traffic happens. However, after the driver arrived... - He told me he JUST got the call to come over. - He had me helping him load the car by steering, then pushing, then operating the trucks machinery to lift my car (he had me operate the "red lever" while he was moving straps into place). On a side note, it was a great learning experience. But... I feel full price should come with full service. I did half of the work. - After we arrived at the shop, I noticed that my keys were still in the ignition. Fearing that they might have been locked inside the car, I asked if he could jimmy the door open. He said he could, with an extra fee. The real issue with that was... he was the last one in the car, and required the keys in the ignition so that it could remain in neutral while he loaded it. I reminded him of this, to which he insisted that *I* was the last one in the car. Which not only was he wrong, but if he were right... I shouldn't have been having to help him. Couldn't he have spent 30 seconds to fix a situation he shouldn't have put me in? This is actually what infuriated me enough to write this review. - After I was fortunate enough to retrieve the keys from my car that "usually" self locks its doors... I realized that my car was still in neutral during the whole trip. Which then made me wince when I remembered him saying "oh look, a strap fell off", as we were riding to the shop. I have to believe that this company has a good rating for a reason... however this experience just boggled my mind. I will probably use them again... I just hope nothing like this happens again. We needed to call for a truck to get my father out of a jumped curb and stuck position today. Not having AAA or roadside service on his insurance, we opted for online reviews. Santa Rosa Tow arrived within the time expected (less than 30 minutes), charged the price that was quoted on the phone, and provided service that was professional, effective, and creative, in order to remedy the situation without any damage to the car. After getting the shaft from ABC towing in healdsburg, I called this company for a tow. The tow was for just over 11 miles at 7 PM on a Thursday and for a Kawasaki 250. The dispatcher for the tow was very cordial and prompt with the estimate. I know tows are expensive when they are out of pocket (AAA doesn't cover motorcycle tows) but they quoted me $250 less than the tow company named above. The time frame given by the dispatcher was accurate and the tow truck driver was very friendly and professional. If I ever need a tow again I will call them first! read more

It's a long story, but after leaving my car door open in the garage overnight, the car wouldn't start and I was afraid my nearly 7-year old battery wouldn't even hold a charge. Called Santa Rosa towing to see if they could just tow me to the dealer's to have it replaced. The woman in the office let me know what my options were and said she'd have a truck at my house within 15 minutes. Sure enough, the truck showed up quickly, and the extremely nice young guy driving it figured out how to get the trunk open despite no power to the locks (smart key system). He jump-started the battery and told me that as long as I didn't turn it off, I could easily drive it to the dealer myself, and I wouldn't have to pay for a tow. He charged me only for the service call, and off I went to get the battery replaced. I'd do business with these guys again in a heartbeat! They were very friendly, helpful, honest and quick. read more
