Went here twice within 4 month period. We had a party of 5. The server turned into two servers and they both was just terrible. They were making a house salad wrong on one of the guests plate. Very unfortunate circumstance. I visited with my wife recently for lunch. As we walked inside the host who's name I will not mentioned was on his way to sit 2 guest outside. He came back and my wife and I requested to sit outside. He stated that there's was not enough servers and was unable to sit us outside. I agreed and asked for a booth. He said all he could give us was a high top or the bar. Keep in mind the restaurant was fairly empty. We agreed to a high top and started towards the table. That's when we realized he was putting us in a high top surrounded by open booths with patrons sprinkled in. We decided to try another place to eat that would feel a little more comfortable. Within literally 10 sec of sitting and returning to the front to let the hostess know we were leaving he was telling another couple that he could sit them in a booth. I quickly stated "I thought you had no booths" he came up with some excuse and began to sit the couple. I decided to leave to avoid making things awkward and called the manager Mona who was understanding. This was disheartening because I'm a minority and the others were not. Delicious food, horrible service. This was my first experience at yard house and I have heard nothing but great things! We ordered waters and beers, which they were out of all the beers we wanted to try. Our waitress didn't bring us water for 25 minutes! We had our appetizers basically finished by the time we even had a drink. The poke nachos and cheese curds were awesome and really large. The waitress barely checked on us, and when she did the one time we asked her for sauce and she just never returned for over 15 min. We paid and left without ever getting our sauce. Third time here now, always a good experience. The food is delicious and comes out fast no matter how busy they are, the service is friendly and fast and the drinks are strong and good! He insulted someone in our group under his breath, and when I asked him about it, he doubled down and was shockingly confrontational with me. My whole group was stunned. Came here for drinks and to watch a football game. The place is pretty big compared to other places in the area. It's in the newer section of the domain but further from the other bars on RockRose. There are ton of TVs for games and other sports, they have a good amount outside as well. There is plenty of seating around the bar. The bar offers a ton of beer options. The bartenders were very quick but also friendly. Haven't had the food at this location but have had food from yardhouse before and it's not bad. I would definitely recommend coming here for drinks and sports. There is a parking garage on multiple sides of this restaurant so that is convenient. read more

If I could rate this place a ten I would from outstanding customer service , food, and overall experience you can never go wrong here. let's talk about the holy smokes beer selections they have my fav has to be blue moon and purple haze FYI my view. They also have a wonderful drink selection each one will def surprise you, very unique very pretty to stare at The food is hard to explain cause they have pretty much everything on their menu very amazing I've tried everything on their menu and everything is always perfect. My burger wasn't cooked properly and it was flavorless. It tasted like they didn't even put a pinch of seasoning or salt. The bacon on my burger was extremely chewy, similar to one of those "Beggin Strips" for dogs. One highlight is that the fries were good as well as the onion rings. Nothing spectacular with our choices of drinks and food today. I would just stick to coming here during happy hours when what you pay for actually reflects what you get on the plate. Our bartender wasn't knowledgeable about the drink menu and had to review it herself in order to recommend anything to us. Fianceé ordered her cocktail without the additional sweeteners and it still turned out too sweet. Not pictured here but we also ordered the shitake garlic noodles, it was overly creamy plus the noodles were slightly overcooked. The garlic truffle fries were good but also a tad bit too salty. Three stars because the menu is expansive and there's something for everybody. Also, service is pretty good as well and they have a huge drink menu with lots of beers on tap. The food however was just okay. We started with the Wisconsin cheese curds and the execution on them wasn't so great. For starters it's white cheese not yellow. There was so much grease that the curds were actually soggy as opposed to perfectly fried and crispy. It made the taste almost stale. The sauces that were served with them were very tasty though. There's a sweet jam based sauce (my fave) and another savory one. For my meal I had the grilled chicken and avocado sandwich. It was good but nothing that really wowed me. The fries were dreamy though. They have different fry options: truffle, regular, garlic parmesan, and sweet potato. I stole a couple of my boyfriends garlic parmesan ones and I have to say just the plain Jane french fries can't be beat. Right now they have Oktoberfest special going on. They have pretzels (they looked delicious), poutine, and Irish beer specials. One of the beer specials you get to take home the stein with you. I love how they had outside seating and not every table was full! They required mask when going inside and the staff were them as well the correct way -- over the nose!! I usually don't trust chains, but our first time experience was a pleasant surprise! We ordered the fried calamari appetizer, and clearly, it was TOO GOOD to be photographed. The squid was perfectly coated and fried, and the marinara sauce was equally the star instead of a forgotten afterthought. I really appreciated how vast of a menu Yard House had; so much so, it was hard to pick an entree! I ending up going with the Poke Salad and the hubs got the Orange Chicken. The Orange Chicken was both texturally and flavory ON POINT. However the sauce was poured heavy-handedly, a bit excessive. But I LOVED THE POKE SALAD. If I had to bit nit-picky, tomatoes in the salad were also a bit excessive. But overall, GREAT FOOD and I can't wait to go back and try more options! read more

For food, my coworkers and I ordered the Wisconsin fried cheese curds and the chicken nachos (comes with cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole, and pinto beans). The cheese curds came with two dipping sauces and were just very cheesy (don't know how else to describe them) and mostly average. The chicken nachos were better and came in a gigantic plate, which was perfect for the five of us. I also had one of the fruit beers: the Sea Dog Blue Paw Wild Blueberry. I still cannot get over how fast the new section of the Domain has grown! Recently discovered the Yard House when I got lost in the labyrinth of the Domain's "inner sanctum" towards the new Rock Rose section. I was so glad I did because I was on the edge of actual starvation late on a Sunday night and was in dire need of food and a beer. It was like this place was a literal answer to my prayers! I was lucky enough to score out-front street parking, but there is an almost adjacent garage in case you aren't as lucky as me. I sat at the bar in hopes of lightning fast service and was not disappointed! The bartender was very nice and attentive and provided us with drink and food menus. Their beer list is hella extensive and impressive and has several selections in any style known to beerkind! The food menu is as well, but the minute I saw they had a reuben on the menu I was sold! I got mine w/a side of sweet potato fries. The reuben here was surprisingly delicious and fulfilling! The meat was juicy and the cheese was gooey and melty, kraut had just enough sour and the sauce was just right. Though the bread was a tad on the greasy side, I did not mind since everything it was covering was delicious! The avocado was such an amazing addition! The sweet potato fries were quality as well with the majority being the right level of crispy. I had two belgians (one of my fav beer styles) here that I had not previously seen on beer menus in town before, so I was impressed. As someone who has over 1250 beers logged on UnTappd, I am hard to impress with a beer selection! I had my doubts about this place as I do with most chains moving into the Austin area, but the quality was good, the price on par with other restaurants in the Domain (so not cheap, but not ridiculously overpriced either), the options aplenty, and the interior/ambiance a mix of sports bar, brewpub, and above average casual dining. Due to a less than stellar experience at another Darden restaurant, we were excited that a Yard House opened up in the area seeing as we had a $100 gift card. We had no problem finding this place as other yelpers have stated. It's pretty easy to follow GPS directions. We opted to sit outside on their beautiful patio and our server was extremely helpful with our beer selections. She also brought us out samples before we made our final selection. For our appetizer we went with the onion ring tower. They were delicious and the chipotle ranch dipping sauce was the perfect compliment. My husband ordered the pastrami benedict burger and subed a regular side for an order of truffle fries with a $1 up charge. He said it was one of the top three burgers he's ever had! We eat out a lot so that's saying something! I had the orange peel chicken with jasmine rice. The presentation was beautiful and the entree was good. I'd usually go for a burger or steak, but I was in the mood for chinese. Next time I'll probably order something else seeing as it didn't blow me a way like my husband's entree did for him. We went with the smores brownie to finish off our meal. It takes around fifteen minutes to come out, because they bake it fresh and you can tell! It was moist and delicious. The only downside is they do not offer a military discount. Our server was from Killeen so she knows the drill. She said Yard House is new to Texas. Well Yard House here's a tip. Support your troops! Ever since I saw a blurb in the Community Impact News about a permit for a Yard House at the Domain, I've been tracking it closely to find out when they'll open... the wait is now over! To all the haters out there saying chain restaurant/bars are lame, I say "Shut yo mouf." I've been to Yard House's all over the country and they're all great and this brand new one in Austin is no different. This Yard House is behind HomeAway -- to the east of the Whole Foods. It's currently the only restaurant/bar in this new section. The place is large and all the tap lines are beautiful. With 125 beers on tap--about 30% of TX beers on tap--they'll have something you like. They even a few House brews on tap, which are brewed in Utah. I thoroughly enjoyed their Honey Blonde. If you don't like beer, they have plenty of cocktails and wine on hand as well. The food is great here. We especially love the tuna dishes. The poke has large chunks of tuna served between a couple of fried wonton sheets. The tuna roll is a stacked dish with edamame, seared tuna and a thick layer of avocado. Nomz. You can get all of that during their regular happy hour and reverse happy hour too! It's a great deal! I always love a good reverse happy hour and YH delivers! On a side note, my boyfriend said the men's bathroom urinal is great. He says it doesn't splash back at you. I'm so glad the YH is the newest addition to the Domain! read more

Yard House might be one of my new favorite places, that I cannot go to because-- I live in Baton Rouge and not San Antonio. Located close the Alamo and the river walk! The venue is so large and spacious, I bet it can easily sit between 150-200 people. I got lost going to the bathroom (which was sparkling if I might add) And that doesn't include the bar--which is very large and well stocked. Perfect for sporting events and for any occasion you can think of. The menu has so many options for all types of people who have various food restrictions! Unbelievable! I would recommend the Maui Pineapple Chicken. My girlfriend and I also ordered a flight of ciders, all simply amazing. Great service topped with great food--in an ambiance that you can choose to be loud or quiet...you really can't ask much more than that! I will definitely be returning next time I'm in San Antonio!
