Not convinced that margarita pizza wasn't grocery store frozen pizza. Guacamole was 'eh. But it was convenient and we got to eat before resuming road trip. BTW 'vegetarian' listing is only because they make some menu items using Gardein fake meat product which you can buy at grocery store and it's all soy. I was hoping for actual vegetarian options. This place is more than just a pub. I've been here twice now and the food was excellent both times. There are some great options on the menu! The wine was good and the beer list looked good too if that's more your thing. My friend has some allergy concerns and the chefs were very helpful in accommodating his diet. The Yard House is insanely busy weekend nights so prepare for a wait or make reservations. Despite the craziness the service was pretty decent both times. My only complaint is that it can be pretty loud and hard to hear the person next to you. read more

This is the second YH location I've been to and I like it. Yes it is smaller than the massive one in Fenway but it's still a decent size. Same yummy food and large beer menu. I was craving a Shock Top this past Sunday and was glad they had it on tap :) Their Mac n cheese is awesome and one of my favorites. I've been here for lunch and happy hour. The pizzas and salads are excellent. Extensive drink menu. Wonderful appetizers esp. the egg rolls and the fried calamari! Great place for groups. Good ambiance. Great service. They are really accommodating esp. if someone in your party has a peanut allergy. Decent place to grab a meal if you want to watch a game on one of their many TVs. The beer list is extremely comprehensive, which was definitely a plus. The food however, was where i think things were lacking. Although there were lots of options, none of the food my party had particularly stood out, and no one could finish their truffle fries at my table because there was too much truffle oil on it. Also, they forgot to bring out a dish that someone in my party had ordered. To their credit, they did come by and bring us the dish to go as we were leaving. Yard House was packed on a Friday night and we were quoted an hour to an hour and a half wait, but luckily we were seated in a half hour! The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive, pleasant, and helpful. The beer variates were also amazing. The food, though, was pretty unimpressive. We actually sent the seafood/crab dip back because it tasted and smelled awful. My mac&cheese dish was really just "ok" and my dessert was plain disappointing. I would go back for the atmosphere and drinks but would choose another restaurant at Legacy Place for dinner. read more

This place has everything you're looking for on a Friday night. It's right by the movie theater, has a great beer selection, and the food is quality. The best thing on the menu are the Truffle Fries! Absolutely awesome place to go to for a nice classy upscale bar and grill kinda place. Great food very tasty and great portions too. Price is a bit expensive but the food is great and so is the place. WE had it the first time in VA and the now went to the boston location on it first weekend which was st patricks day nad it was a lot of people but the wait for not too bad and we got food served with drinks without much delay . This is our go to restaurant in area!! Especially when we have guests or family in town. The food and beer selection is enormous and everything I have had is good. I really enjoy their tacos and the California Reuben. It is definitely busy in the evenings almost everyday day but we usually only have to wait 15 to 20 minutes. I suggest going at lunch if you don't want to wait. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, even when the place is packed full. read more

This is the second time I've walked out of Yardhouse feeling like I'm nocturnal after sitting in the super dimmed dining room. I can only describe it as similar to staring at a computer screen for 8 hrs just like what I do everyday at work =P The theme of Yardhouse is Asian/American fusion which guess is true since the menu comprises of dishes like what you'd find at PF Chang and the Cheesecake Factory. The tap selection is quiet impressive and plenty of TVs all around the restaurant if you want to keep on top of what's going on in the Sports world. The draft beer selection is spectacular, though slightly overwhelming for those who come in without a preference to steer them in the right direction. The boy and I selected two Hefeweizens in the yard glasses and aside from worrying that they were going to tip over every time someone bumped into our table, found it rather difficult to drink from - better off getting pint glasses. Nevertheless, the beers were good. We started with the chicken nachos and every chip came loaded with chicken, cheese, pico, sour cream, and guac. The boy had the Hawaiian burger which was topped with pineapples and pepperjack cheese and I had the Cuban roast pork sandwich which was absolutely delicious! The sandwich was packed with flavor and the portion was large enough that I had the remaining half of the sandwich for lunch the next day. Both entrees came with a large handful of thin, crispy fries. The wait for a table was long (1.5 hours) so put your name on the list then go shopping. For how packed the place was, the server was attentive and checked on us several times throughout the meal. Will definitely return (soon)! read more

Excellent. Emily our waitress was a great server. I had the Mac n cheese and my wife had the fish tacos. They were both excellent. The order took 30 minutes to come out, we did not say anything as we were watching the games on the TVs and the manager came out and apologized we had to wait comped us our meal because she felt bad we had to wait. That's amazingly great service. Btw, I had the home brew Belgian beer and sampled the sea dog blueberry. Both were excellent bum definitely coming back to Yard House. read more

Delicious food with incredible range. Obviously the beer selection is awesome, but the cocktails aren't bad either. It's a little loud and crowded for my personal taste, but that hasn't negatively impacted ladies' night! The staff are friendly and accommodating. If you make a reservation, get there on time-- if not earlier. Park in the garage (it's free and right above the restaurant) so you don't waste 30 minutes trying to find a spot-- You'll be surprised, but this place isn't only packed on the weekends, but on Weekdays as well! Definitely worth checking out, especially if you like beer and (truffle) fries! (Don't worry for those of you on diets, the fries are cut very thin and won't expand your pant-line)-- plus they have delicious salads! read more

Not impressed. Food quality was poor and the service was slow. Ordered a burger medium-well, received it near to raw. Asked the waitress to bring it back. Once I received it back it was the original burger all cut up, a stale bun, and cold fries. Very dissatisfied. Prices are way too high for the food quality. read more

Really really good food! Loud atmosphere..not the kind of place you would go for a romantic dinner alone..but fun for a night out with friends. Great variety on types and tastes! I had the garlic chicken noodles...very tasty and inventive with the addition of endgame and tofu! The have a bazillion beers on tap meaning you can be happy with whatever you get, but it comes with a price at about 7-8 bucks per beer!! I would definitely be back here whenever we're in the area..it's especially busy on Sat. nights in the height of the holiday season (and the outside mall it's in will leave you looking for a parking space and put any marriage to the test! ;) you know what I mean!) so be prepared to wait unless you've made a reservation. I'm sure during the week it's less busy than the weekends! P.S. Someone in our group got the mushroom/parmesan chicken and from what I hear not only looked incredible but was to boot! read more

Soo--- This place would have gotten 4 stars because I would not have had any expectations. My hubby and 2 good friends of ours decided to head here on a Saturday evening around 6 (BIG mistake!) We waited 2 and a half hours to be seated. Perhaps the largest assortment of beers I have seen....the place has the feel of a large national chain like a Cheesecake Factory in terms of the massive menu and the way that it is decorated....but I generally have found the food to be passable....it sounds better in the description than it is on the plate but the appetizers are pretty good.....they offer "gardein" meat substitute which is sort of creepy sounding but I tried it and it was surprisingly not bad.....the place is always crowded, super loud and while the service has always been good they really should give you a bit more time to make your selections because it is a really large menu. Overall a fun place with o.k. food and a great beer list. It isn't too pricey but I would not bring kids. read more

Ok... So I love the crusted peppercorn filet and the sangria drinks but that's about it. The rest of the menu is eh! The food is a bit overpriced for what you get and the service is sometimes slow. I really like the YardHouse. This is the second time I've been here and the girls and I really enjoyed it. We sat outside and got seated right away on Saturday night around 5:30pm. We had everyhting from drinks, apps, entrees and dessert. We stayed for several hours and we weren't rushed by the waiter. The fish tacos were delicious. I also had a strawberry mojito that was awesome. For dessert I recommend the peach cobbler Its mini sized and just enough. Good service and our waiter was attentive, friendly and never rushed us. Went here for lunch with the family. We got the chicken nachos which was a big portion. The chicken was dry however. But tasty overall. We also for the onion rings which were yummy. Fried food...how can it not be yummy? I got the salmon caesar kale salad as an entree, which was a little too much on the salty side. The caesar dressing plus the cheese was maybe what made the salt-level overboard. But it was over priced for the portion, which wasn't very filling. This place will be 5 stars if they can convince some of the more local craft beers to bring their beer in. I would love to see Trillium. They are only 5 miles away. We reserved for 6:30 pm for a party of 6 with 2 young kids, one in a high chair. We showed up with 7, and they seated us immediately at one of their very large booths. I thought that was a good sign, because it would indicate that they are expecting, and are comfortable with large groups. It took quite a long time to get our initial drinks, and then even longer to track down the server to take our orders. They seemed very understaffed. When the server gave us her attention, she was as polished, professional and efficient as could be. But we had trouble throughout the meal to find her to get issues resolved--cheeseburger without the cheese, food undercooked, needing additional water or other drinks. We finally got our food at 7:30, and when it arrived, some people were pleased and others less so. The kids mac and cheese was bland, the cobb salad (the large dinner size) was skimpy and left one person quite hungry, the kids cheeseburger came without cheese. And yes, the $28 rib steak cooked medium was fine. Other food was unremarkable. Kudos to the staff who came to check on the gluten and dairy sensitivities, though all it seemed to do was slow down the food and service even further. After $3.50 kid-sized lemonades, slow service, and mostly mediocre food, we won't be coming back...with a large group, or actually, at all. read more

There are a few reasons that makes Yard House one of my favorite go-to restaurants. I think the number one is that they have better vegetarian options than any other non-vegetarian restaurant. They have an entire section of the menu devoted to Gardein, a meat-substitute. Sometimes I go solely for their Buffalo Gardein wings. Not to mention they have a better beer selection than anywhere I've ever been, and the servers are always knowledgeable on product and rotations. There's only been once that I've had to speak with management, and he was honestly kind. Of course, if you come here on a busy Friday or Saturday night, to get expect to get instantaneous service - it is a bar and you're not the server's only table! But if you're coming here to sip on your beer and be happy and enjoy (really) good food, then I can't imagine a better spot in Dedham. read more

First off, to let you know - I am not a beer enthusiast. I don't really care one whit about beer. I don't obsess over it, I don't talk about it, I don't sit around a table to discuss the fine qualities of different beers, comparing the various levels of hops. Hell, I don't even know what an IPA is. (Ok, I know what an IPA is - but only because a lot of the people I work with fit squarely into the category I've been talking about, that I fit squarely OUT of.) So I don't care about beer, and I'm not going to review it here. But I've been to the Yard House at Legacy Place twice now, for lunch. And the food and prices I have to say are quite good. Once I had the blue crab cake sandwich. It was pretty good, but I felt that it would have made a better dish without the "sandwich" part. I love crab cakes, if done well, and this was done fairly well. It also came with a lovely tomato bisque. This was one of the lunch combos which is totally affordable and a great value for the money. I also had fries which I found to be quite good, though I am a fry snob. Not many places do fries well, and this one was just above that dismal average here in New England. Or I should say Massachusetts. I have had much better fries in Vermont and New Hampshire. (Incidentally as a comparison, the best fries in Massachusetts that I have encountered was the Rattlesnake Restaurant several years ago before they jumped onto the coated fry bandwagon totally ruining them forever. And now the best fries are at Five Guys Burgers.) My second trip I had the hot pastrami sandwich and French Onion Soup. I have to say the soup was huge, compared to the smaller tomato bisque I had had on my earlier trip. And good. The French Onion Soup there is very good. The pastrami was nice, but somewhat stringy. This is the problem with pastrami for me. For me to enjoy it it has to be supple, and fall apart with every bite. It has to be shaved ultra-thin. This was well shaved, I think, but still, no bite would release itself cleanly. I had to pull at it, tug at it, to force it to release its grip on the remainder of the sandwich so I could eat it. Tasty yes, but not trivial to deal with. Now from the perspective of a beer lover, and as I said, I work with many who are TRUE beer lovers, this place must be a Mecca of sorts. Each time I've been there they have had multiple beers, usually trying out different ones, and they were all very very very pleased with each one. That's just not me. read more
