Hostess tells me some people have paid yet are still sitting well past 2 1/2 hours, yet staff won't tell them there is a wait list for outside and gently encourage them to sit inside or at the chairs on outskirts of restaurant. Went here on a Friday evening and it did seem pretty crowded. The wait was for about half an hour. It didn't take long before we were led to our tables. During the wait I did take a look around and it is surprising how the size of the booths and the tables vary. The booths are long and large and the tables looked tiny compared to them. And please take a look at the 8 people booth they have! It's like a coach on a rail!! Once you look at the menu, you have to agree they do have a great collection of beers and an innovative menu of appetizers and entrees. Some of the names that stood out were Mac and cheese fries, turkey burger and lamb burger! You would have no trouble finding out a good savory menu that suits you. Yardhouse is one of our favorites. We had our after wedding brunch lunch here. My favorite is the truffle mac and cheese, and the brussel sprouts!! My husband gets their burgers which we also love and his favorite beer Guiness. The location of the restaurant is great too as there are a lot of fun activities to do around it like a paint night or shopping. read more

I came here to celebrate a special occasion with a couple of my Sorority Sisters, and was pleased with the food and service. Since I knew I was at a restaurant known for varieties of beer, I had to try something different. My attention was caught by the Beer Floats and the Beer Blends. I ordered a blend since I was craving something dark, but also something fruity. And although it's my first beer blend, it is definitely a new favorite! I had the Black Velvet which is a mix of Wyder's Pear Cider and Guinness Stout. The prices for Happy Hour wasn't too bad. I ordered the Calamari, which is no different than any other place. And tried the Pastrami Sliders, which comes with regular fries and a half of a pickle. I guess I expected more flavors from the burgers and calamari, but they were just ordinary. read more

Wife and I headed for a place she had not been to before. Saturday night around 9:45 pm, not too busy. There was a trade show earlier in the day. Server came soon after seating. She was very pleasant and made us feel welcome. Wife had the Myan Mule and I asked for a suggestion on their home brews. Server asked my preference between light or dark. I went with light, and she suggested the Honey Blonde. The mule wasn't light and not too stiff. The honey blonde was too light for my liking. I asked if I could return and get the Amber Triple. She obliged without issue and happily let me exchange. (Huge +!) Appetizers, we went with the Truffle Fries and I tried their Clam Chowder. Truffle fries are garlic fries to me (San Francisco) and tasted fine, but could use some more oil, but they were fine. Chowder was good. Hey, this isn't the east/west coast, but this is one of the better midwest chowders I have had. Dinner, wife went with the Vampire & Fish street tacos. Vampire tacos were different with a little kick to it. I think that is due to the "Chorizo bacon", she liked it. She loves fish and thought they could have added more fish but the fish was fine. I ordered the Porcini Crusted Halibut. Upon first bite it tasted great. But... as I put my fork into it further, it was not cooked all the way through. Hey mistakes happen. Now what will they do to make it right? I alerted our server. She sincerly apologized and promptly brought it to the cooks attention and alerted her manager. The manager immediately approached our table and apologized and agreed that the fish was under cooked. He gave me the option to have the same meal with greater attention paid to the preperation. I chose to go with the BBQ bacon burger instead. He obliged and promptly had the meal made. At checkout our server notified us that they would not charge us for the burger or fish and removed it from our bill. Btw, the burger was fine. This is the way to handle a mistake. They handled it perfectly. They will not loose our patronage and we will return. We are human and mistakes happen when you serve hundreds of people a day. But the way you handle that mistake can dictate return business. Again, we will return. Thank you for making us feel welcome at your establishment and being reasonable. read more

Yard House is a really nice place for families to dine in and food is pretty decent.But the kids menu is quite limited variety and they will normaly just not agree to cook a kids burger medium well or obviously not rare.But I would say Yard House is a pretty good place and I highly recommend it to ya! read more

On a Friday night, this location was obviously packed and we had to wait about 20-25 minutes. We expected this. Nevertheless, we enjoyed a very filling meal! My group ordered various dishes and everyone liked their food, but the standout dishes were the pineapple chicken and the peach apple cobbler. I went with a large group for dinner, and we did enjoy the food, drinks and variety on the menu. I would say that the service was mediocre, but I was really disappointed with the service when it came to pay the bill. At the beginning of the meal we asked if we could split the bill into two checks and were told that it would be easier to split it at the end, only to find out that it would be easier because they were going to make US figure out how to split the check at the end of the meal. We were given a tablet to pay the bill and one person was struggling for no joke, 30 minutes, stressed out, trying to split it amongst our large group. No one came by to help, it was late and the restaurant was closing, and we had to get up and find our waiter to help, and she briefly helped us, and then left us to fend for ourselves again. The point of going out to eat is for it to be stress-free, and to be taken care of, yet we were expected to use the restaurant's system to split our bill, even though we tried to be proactive, and do that at the beginning of the meal. So that burden was put on us, while we were still expected to give a full tip to the waitress. This was a large group with a large bill, and we did leave a nice tip, but I was just disappointed that we couldn't just hand over a few credit cards and have it be split for us, but instead had to struggle to figure it out. Seems like restaurants are really cutting back on the service and making as much "self-serve" they can they can. Not only do I not think the tablet should be on the table for us to handle the bill, but at a minimum when it was taking us that long and we were asking for help to step in and take over instead of walking away from us again to figure it out like we work there. So we did enjoy a nice meal, but at the end, everyone was annoyed that it was taking so long and we were looking around for help and the one person figuring it out was stressed out. read more

There are reasons one finds themselves in Glenview IL. The reasons this time aren't the best, but aren't the worst, therefore it's possible to enjoy your meal. And that we did. One brunch mate had been to this location before and had no complaints and was genuinely surprised at the food. I feel like a failure since I took no pics. Two of us had the chicken avocado sandwich, the third had the jambalaya with spicy rice, and yes, it was good too. We had the California Roll Stack as an appetizer, highly recommend. It's unique combo of potato patty, with yummy Asian dressing and seafood salad on top. We were advised that no one can resist the Brookie Dessert (chocolate chip cookie dough brownie with ice cream and caramel/chocolate sauces). The dish was better than I expected--the tuna seemed fresh and it was super flavorful. My husband got the fish and chips, which tasted pretty standard. I decided to go with the vampire taco and it was a huge mistake. Not only is it tiny but it doesn't come with anything and the price is NOT reasonable for 1 single taco. Overly crowded, seated directly underneath a vent so I was freezing even though it was 70° outside. We watched our waiter put his finger in his nose and then proceed to serve another table without washing hands. Half of the staff was not wearing masks- including the cooks and servers. I was too grossed out to eat most of my food but what I managed to force down was okay. They have an extensive menu with a lot of interesting dishes. The quality is not great compared to the prices. Then came over and asked us again without drinks if we wanted anything. His eyes were bloodshot. But not tired bloodshot We decided not to waste anymore time. And we left as we had already sat waiting for 25 for ice tea that never arrived. we had our toddler with us. I'm shocked that management doesn't notice that something was off with this guy, the manager did offer us gift cards to make up for the bad service which was appreciated. Excellent place for drinks and dinner. We showed up before 6pm on a Thursday (movie night, next door) and they were offering appetizers at 50% off, so we just had 4 of them instead of entrees. And let me tell you all of them were excellent, esp. the Tuna poke nachos. They also have a very interesting way to present their sushi which is done as a layered cake (like a 7-layer dip). There are a ton of small complaints but they add up to a below average experience. The one positive about this place is the draft beer selection. It's truly impressive but the pours are usually topped with a ton of foam. I assume the bartenders are taught to give 12 oz of beer and 4 oz foam as a cost saver but it doesn't make a customer paying $7-9 per beer very happy. The food is fine. Basic bar food is reliable and our kids like the kid menu options. I would stay away from their attempts at "bistro" dishes. The music selection is awful. TVs are plentiful but unless you're sitting at the bar, they always feel like a mile away. read more

I loved their food, but since quarantine started I had to order deliveries from Grubhub. From the 3 deliveries that I had, 2 of them we're missing items. One order was missing a side salad, and other was Chicken kale salad which came without a chicken. Was very disappointed. Overall a solid dinner location if your looking to unwind, have some drinks and eat some good food. They have large and spacious dining room with a center bar. The food is good and is a mix of American contemporary and southern/ oriental cuisines.
