Their pineapple ale is awesome, I have never had anything like it before. I told our waiter, Paul, I was a vegetarian, after I ordered pasta he came back to make sure I wasn't vegan because the sauce had dairy in it. This was the first time any waitstaff have ever paid this close attention. You can call ahead or use their website to put your name in, I suggest you do as the wait can be long! Having been here earlier, for their beer, wasn't expecting much out of their dinner menu other than some bar snacks. To my surprise their vegetarian food had variety, taste as well as good quantities. Truffle fries were really good, so were their shiitake garlic noodles. They have a separate gardein menu which is really great . The gardein orange chicken(v) was really good too. Their mini chocolate soufflé cake is a must try! I'm so glad I'm able to check this off my list of restaurants to visit. I had such a wonderful time!! I came here on Sunday as an early birthday celebration. We arrived around 8:30 PM and it was considerably packed and bustling but we were seated in no time, right in the middle with the high chairs (there's bar seating and booth seating too). Yard House is a super spacious establishment with the biggest alcohol menu I've ever seen!! You can even see pipes running across the ceiling and into the **beer** room where they store it all. We ordered the hot and spicy edamame appetizer to start. It's the perfect sharing size! The edamame was cooked just right (not too mushy and not too hard) and was doused in a spicy soy sauce-esque dressing. The heat was the perfect amount- it didn't have me reaching for my glass of water every three seconds. We were given mini towels to clean our hands after the messy snack! It was pretty hard for me to choose a beer I wanted. After mulling over my options for at least seven minutes, I finally settled on the House Honey Blonde. It was light and refreshing! I had the penne pasta with chicken. I enjoyed it a lot! It came in a sizable portion with a medley of sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, chicken, and asparagus. We have been here many times and each time is a better experience. The staff are always friendly, even when it's busy! That's a big deal right there. There is usually a wait, but you can call ahead and put your name in! I definitely recommend doing that at dinner time. The menu is extensive but somehow everything is good! Honestly, food was pretty good. My friends and I went for Happy Hour between 3-6pm and got the ahi sashimi, poké nachos, fried mac and cheese, queso dip, sliders, and fried calamari. We got a couple drinks, I got a flight of local beer and that wasn't that good. I love Nightshift Nite Lite but even that wasn't good in the flight, bummer. We were served by Kylie and the service wasn't good at all. We're all servers too so we understand but we were often disregarded and saw her talking and tending to other tables nearby and almost never checked in on us (and we were trying to order more). This is the third Yard house that I have been to an I have to say they get an A+ for consistency. The service is always friendly and on point, and the food solid and fresh. Obviously one of the main attractions (for me) is their extensive list of beers on tap. I feel when a restaurant boasts about all the beers they have often the food falls short, this place does not. I have tried so many things on the menu and everything is always perfect. They are extremely accommodating to any and all food allergies/restrictions. I also really appreciate how knowledgeable the staff is about ANY beer you are inquiring about. Came in to get a steak for take out . Had a drink with mom while we were waiting . I had wine so it was good and she had a margarita that was very standard and decent. Our Bartander was very nice and attentive. Food took a little over 30 min to come but I cannot say that this got the "stars" down. They were busy and that is understandable. Before we left we went to the ladies room and this might have been the worst smelling restroom I have seen since my friends took me out to a dive bar in Eastie. And for the food. Don't usually write bad reviews, but the service here was terrible yesterday! Right from the hostess, our server and the server who delivered our food to the table. Food was just 'ok'... nothing flattering. We asked for an outside table.. a few appeared to be open... whispering was going on, then was given one inside in the back corner next to the noisy kitchen. Ok, whatever, I was hungry and could overlook it, even though there was no smile or warmth to the hostess. The server/double duty as bartender, was abrupt and bordering on rude, never coming back to the table to check on meal or refill my water glass. Perhaps he was disappointed it wasn't an expensive drink? Food was delivered in a rude manner. No prior conversation or anything done to anyone prior to receiving bad service to warrant anything. He was extremely helpful in getting my card back to me so that I didn't have to go through the pains of cancelling that card and implementing a new one. First time here for me and my friend but we've heard good things. Arrived on a Friday afternoon around 2 pm and we were seated immediately and greeted by our waitress who was very friendly and helpful. After being presented with our menu's, she mentioned specials on appetizers during happy hour but that didn't start until 3 pm :-( ...oh well, next time we'll do some shopping and then come eat! We decided to start with the brussel sprouts and ripped potatoes (where the potatoes are ripped vs. cut) and one of each of the korean short rib taco and grilled swordfish taco. The brussel sprouts arrived first and were hot, crispy and delicious. The potatoes were chunky and very crisp with a creamy (possibly horseradish type) tasty dressing underneath. Our tacos arrived about 5 minutes after the brussel sprouts. We split the short rib taco first and it was tender with a sweet sauce and very tasty. Then we tackled the swordfish which was also very good but after having the short rib taco first, the swordfish tasted a bit bland. My friend wanted to try the pig candy and beef jerky but our waitress informed us that they were out so we decided on the shrimp jambalaya with brown rice, the kale caesar salad and the sweet potato fries. The fries came first with a very yummy maple bacon dipping sauce, followed by the kale caesar salad. We usually order the salad with dressing on the side but forgot to request that and was happy that the salad was not drowned in dressing. My friend was disappointed that the salad contained much more romaine lettuce than kale. The shrimp jambalaya was served with one blackend shrimp on top, chicken-andouille sausage, peppers, crawfish in a cajun cream sauce. The sauce was much heavier than other jambalaya I've ever had. It was good but we've had better jambalaya. It's described as spicy and neither of us thought it was really spicy. Our tab including tip, around $55. Wanted to have a nice lunch while visiting Boston and knew that your house is a safe bet. They are taking all kinds of precautions for Covid but you can sit inside or outside with social distancing. I had the crabcake sandwich which was terrific. My colleague had the tacos and a calamari appetizer which I helped out with. It looks like they had a nice happy hour that's ordered 3 o'clock my coworker wanted to stay for a bit couldn't do it this time. We had an excellent dinner at Yard House this evening. Service tonight was better than usual, thanks to our waiter Paul B. We got the fried calamari for an appetizer. It was a little more spicy than what we were expecting but good nonetheless. I also had the clam chowder and Caesar salad and my boyfriend got the seared ahi steak sandwich. We also love that you can upgrade your fries to truffle fries here. All of the food was excellent. They also had three different types of sangria tonight. Great spot for any type of occasion and plenty of parking in back of restaurant. The menu is also very large, making it easy to mix things up and try different meals. read more

Good food options from Mexican, Asian, seafood and American Bar foods. I ordered from the lunch menu with options of 1/2 sandwich with soup or salad. I had the roast beef dip with clam chowder. It was very good. My husband had the 1/2 turkey club with salad. My daughter had jambalaya which was good but Spicy. Son-in-law had a burger with fries. First of all, the Lynnfield Marketplace is such a great build between the North Shore Mall, Square One Mall and everything around Boston. Lots of great shopping and delicious places to eat! I've been a Yard House fan since I first discovered it in San Diego. Their food is consistently good and it brings me back home with that California "new american" flare. My all time favorite burger is the truffle beef patty burger (see pic) I usually get it with truffle fries (definitely NOT a truffle overload) and a side of garlic mayo which never disappoints. Also, their mac+ cheese is extremely delicious and flavorful. If you're planning on heading in on the weekend or Friday Night, expect a wait (just go to the bar and enjoy one of their amazing cocktails OR beer!) This past visit we were able to sit outside and it was beautiful. The prices are not bad and the food is delicious... just keep in mind you gotta find a parking spot to enjoy delicious food :) read more

We came on a Saturday night and had a 30 minute wait which I didn't think was bad. We went to the bar and ordered beers and I got the clown shoe clementine which was excellent. The food was equally just as good. We started with the spicy tuna roll which was deconstructed with edamame and a tangy soy ginger sauce. I got the Cuban which was delicious and we also got the steak sandwich which was think steak cut perfectly. Overall the food was a+ and so was the atmosphere. Hubby and I had date night here on Friday night. There was about a thirty min wait, which is to be expected on a weekend. The place is huge, well decorated and very fun atmosphere. Jim, our waiter was great and super attentive. Hubby got the thanksgiving beer they had on special and really loved it. I had the Jack and Ginger beer cocktail and thought it was super refreshing and yummy! Food: we got the lobster, crab dip and the Ahi tuna poke stack for apps. Both were really well done and tasty! The only comment is the stack is not super user friendly to eat. Had to deconstruct it in order to get to it. Great idea, just needs a bit of fine tuning for execution. WE both opted for burgers for main dishes. I got the lamb burger with the creamy feta sauce and some kind of jalapeno jam. Delish! Only minor complaint on it was there was a bit much of this spicy hot jam that by the time I was close to finishing the burger it got to be a bit much. Hubby got the smoked applewood bacon cheddar burger. He thought it was amazing as well. Both were cooked to perfection how we ordered them. we also both chose onion rings instead of fries and their batter is very good. Will we go again, heck yes! Another case of having expectations having looked at their menu ahead of time... Went there last night, there was a 20 minute wait, which wasn't bad. This place is pretty much a sports bar (not what I was expecting); loud and lots of people everywhere. Our waitress was very friendly and offered suggestions upon request. I'll give Service an A, things fell apart when the food hit the table though. Starters: cheese dip with bacon/chorizo - tasty, but there was a pool of oil floating on the top of the cheese, which was pretty disgusting. Perhaps pour this off before serving? Crab cakes - good flavor, but they were barely above room temperature. Vampire Taco - messy, but tasty. Blueberry sour mash was delightful & I'd order that again (that's what my wife had). I ordered a beer flight, and chose poorly, I only liked one of the six beers. Not their fault I chose poorly, most of them were beers I hadn't tried before, and the descriptions didn't really match the flavor. Entrees - My wife ordered the burger, it was cooked perfectly and she really enjoyed it. I ordered the porcini crusted halibut, and the dish was entirely different than what I expected. For starters, I was expecting to see some sort of mushroom in the dish. I'm not sure how the fish was "crusted", I'm guessing they powdered the porcini and sprinkled the dust on top? The bok choy was just a chunk of vegetable on the plate, wasn't sure how to eat it. And the mashed potatoes were terribly dry/flavorless. And everything was floating in the porcini cream sauce. As it was a bowl, eating the various bits was difficult; I had to pull the fish up to the top edge of the bowl, I had to toss the bok choy off the plate entirely, and move the potatoes to the side. It was just an awkward dish that left me disappointed. Dessert - the highlight of the meal! We had the trio of apple cobbler, banana crème brûlée, chocolate soufflé cake. It's too bad that the meal missed the mark. If I were to go back, I would be more selective about my choices, going for "safe items" vs. venturing out to try something a bit difference. read more

Sitting at the bar, we watched the bartender stick her hand in a jar of olives, scoop them up, put three on a toothpick and then dump the remaining olives in her hand back in the jar. No gloves.
