It had been a while since I went to the Yard House. Last time, I gave it a great rating. They had the best Nashville Hot chicken and a great beer selection. I don't know whether they have a new chef but things have dramatically changed. I got a Nashville Hot Chicken that was hot chicken without any sauce. I told the waitress and she went to the kitchen and came back telling me that the sauce was on there and had evaporated. I did not believe her and asked for additional sauce. She brought back a soy and pepper sauce that was disgusting. When I commented she said the kitchen told her it was Nashville hot sauce. Nashville hot sauce is a lot of spices, cayenne pepper, brown sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, paprika and honey. None of this was in the sauce they gave me. Solid, not spectacular. Have been to this location a few times, and it definitely has some things going for it. The restaurant itself is very spacious, clean, and staff is very friendly and helpful. They have little tablet menus that you can order food from, but a waiter also comes to take your order. Drinks are quite impressive, cocktails are very inventive and my husband even ordered one (pink dragon I believe) that was served with smoke. We shared the spinach dip appetizer which was also fantastic, lots of flavor and served with tortilla chips and a sesame cracker. I would definitely return for drinks/apps. Entrees we're less impressive. I got their new cheesesteak which was loaded with meat/cheese/fried onions, but lacked acidity or something to break up the heaviness. Meat was also on the tough side and overcooked. My husband got the jambalaya, but the rice was over cooked. Kids food was the biggest downer. The max and cheese was just cooked elbow pasta with melted shredded cheese . I know kids have simple palates, but this food was clearly an afterthought. There are better options for food in Market Street, but if you are just looking for some apps and drinks, definitely worth a stop. Would love to give 3.5-3.75 stars if possible since service was great and my kids were treated so well, but sadly not an option. read more

I generally enjoy YH, but the meal I got tonight was absolutely terrible. I got the Mac and cheese through takeout. When I got home, it was covered in what looked like partially melted slices of cheddar cheese. So gross and not at all what I expected. There were maybe 3 crumbs of bacon, no panko, and hardly any chicken. Incredibly disappointing. If they didn't have the correct ingredients, I wish they called me to ask if there was something different I wanted. I ended up tossing the whole thing I was here last week as well and ate in the restaurant. It was much better than this and the service was great. I'll come back, but will likely never order takeout again -- what a waste of money. read more

I went to Yard House tonight with my husband. From the outside, it looked pretty busy so I was surprised we only waited a minute or so at the hostess stand before we were seated with menus. We were seated at a high top, which isn't my preference. That's when the experience started going badly. I kept checking my phone and looking around to see if anyone was going to come over to take our drink orders. I waited 13 mins before a server came over, honestly if it was any longer I was going to leave. We ordered waters to start, and a Margherita pizza which was half off . They have some half priced apps between 3-6 PM Monday- Friday. I noticed that I couldn't tell who our actual server was, as 2-3 people checked on us. They were all males, with short brown hair, tall, and had glasses. That was a bit confusing to me, haven't seen that before. Our pizza was brought over by a food server and was actually pretty good. However the pieces were not cut evenly and some pieces had a lot more mozzarella then others. I had the Long Beach tea and my husband had 2 beers which he enjoyed. The Long Beach tea was sweet, I thought it might be like a Long Island iced tea but it wasn't, which was okay. To eat, I ordered a tuna poke bowl while my husband got truffle fries and 12 traditional wings split between whiskey black pepper and Korean bbq. He liked the whiskey black pepper wings more, said they were sort of sweet ish. My tuna poke bowl was good, had a mix of tuna, arugula , cucumber, avocado , tomato, seaweed, edamame and a few other things. It tasted fresh. I brought most of my food home, they have containers that have 2 steamer holes, which I found interesting. It wasn't really needed for my cold food. They have the tablets at the tables so we were able to pay using the app. The bill came out to about 85$ with tip, not the most expensive but not the cheapest. Overall, Yard House is ok for a chain. It's not amazing but not terrible. read more

Typical chain restaurant. Food was unfortunately not good. Boneless chicken wings were not fully cooked and inedible. Sauce only covering 70% of the chicken. Sliders were thrown haphazardly on a plate not even on their buns. Fries had a gallon of salt on them. Service was slow but friendly. Took 20 minutes to get a beer. Place itself is very large with adequate seating to accommodate the lunch/dinner rush. Difficult to find parking spot during busy times. I'd say temper your expectations if you end up here and maybe just go somewhere else entirely. There are other options nearby. read more

I have always wanted to try this spot, and I'm glad I did. Upon getting seated, we were greeted pretty fast by a friendly server. We each ordered a drink; which are surprisingly very strong! My friend got a midnight sangria which she highly recommends. As far as the food, I believe it is a little overpriced. I ordered the bbq bacon cheddar burger and it was excellent. I wish the cheese on it was melted a little more, because it looked as if it was just placed there. The entire burger was on the lukewarm side as well as the fries. Over $17 for this is a little much. I would give this place another try, but maybe just do drinks and appetizers. read more

I've always love yard house. I've been going to this restaurant since it opened in Dedham at Legacy Place. I've moved and tried looking for a closer location to me and found it, Lynnfield! We were greeted upon entering the restaurant and seared quickly at a high table near the bar. For a Tuesday night they had a pretty decent crowd. Food - I ordered a few different items and moved them all. They have a new blackened shrimp taco with guacamole, pico de gallo, mango and pineapple salsa with cabbage and it was perfection! Tender, salty, savory and crunch all at once. I also ordered the Brussels sprouts- this is a MUST have! I was SO happy with how they tasted and the sauce complimented them so well. A perfect pair that should never be removed from the menu. Lastly I also had the garlic noodles with grilled chicken, def a staple of yard house and a constant go to for me. It's always consistently delicious. My gf got the black truffle burger w/ truffle fries and said the burger was lacking flavor but the fries were good. Service - we had Donna and she was extremely friendly and accommodating. Very upbeat and conversational which makes for a great waitress. We looked for her a few times to get water refills but other than that she was great. Atmosphere - sitting near the bar, you're going to have noise but it wasn't excessive. We like to be where he action is so it didn't disappoint. Free parking is always a bonus on site! I'll def return to this site as it's only 15 minutes away! read more

Updating my review as I just went there last night. I was sorely disappointed in the food quality. I ordered a blue cheese and bacon burger. Ignoring the fact that it was a smaller portion than I recall along with the fries, the quality of the meat they used to make the burger was terrible. It was like some kind of fine ground chuck. The quality was so bad I wasn't feeling good about eating it. There were very few blue cheese crumbles on it. And I didn't taste any bacon if it was in there. I should've looked. It's just that I couldn't get past how bad the hamburger itself was it didn't matter what was on it. The service and staff was excellent. I mean really, really, good. I never felt abandoned like at some places. The cider I ordered was excellent(hard to screw that up admittedly). My wife's glazed salmon looked pretty bad. Small portion of what was probably frozen fish with a few token vegetables on the side. She said it was fair. So perhaps this place could be good if you order the right thing. I'm not exactly sure what that 'thing' is that you should be ordering. I'm getting the feeling this is turning more into a bar that serves appetizers than a restaurant with a nice bar. This is a huge disappointment because they used to have epic burgers. Oh it's never bothered me personally but this a very loud restaurant. I hate to say it but the going price for a burger seems to be about $16-$17 in most of these places. There are tons of places I could go to get a better burger at this price. The sad thing is I could go to a 99 and the burger would have been way better. If I ever go back I can't see myself ever ordering a burger here. We got into the restaurant and it took 45 minutes to get our drinks ordered, proceeded to order our food. after it took very very long to get the food, had to order the food multiple times, food sent to the wrong table multiple times. the waiters and waitresses forgot about a lot of the orders. Serving a group is large is quite a task though this has been planned for months so they couldn't handle it. They should've said so. read more

3.5 stars. Went on a Wednesday night with the bf. We sat at the bar to have a drink and an appetizer. We were greeted fairly quickly and the bartender let me try 2 different beers before I settled on something familiar that I knew I liked. She seemed perfectly happy to let me taste things - not a hint of attitude or impatience. Of course, Yard House is known for their draft beer and cider selection. They have tons of stuff! I ended up having an Ace Pineapple cider and my boyfriend had a couple of beers. We also ordered a small mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was pretty good! It had mushrooms, chicken, bacon and truffle oil. I wish that it had more of these things. Most bites were just mac and cheese without the yummy extras. It took 4 bites to get a piece of chicken. If they add more of the "mac and cheese additionals", I would order this again. Having several bites of mac and cheese without a bite of either mushroom, chicken or bacon was kind of boring. I would definitely come back to this Yard House and this area. There is a lot to do here! read more

We went to the Yard House last fall & it was pretty great. Today, not so much. The waitress was rude to my daughter when she mistakenly called the Pepper Jack Burger a Poblano Burger to try to shame her for an honest mistake. She brought the order of 3 entrees that we wanted to split and then disappeared. We pushed the button on their computerized order console, still couldn't get her to come back. All I wanted was for her to replace the fries that I ordered without salt that came out encrusted with tons of salt but we just couldn't get her to come back. I went to the hostess station & explained the issue to the hostess and she got the manager. I told him I'd willingly pay for the sodas but I hadn't touched the food. He was super nice & told us it was fine and gave us the sodas free and let us leave without being charged. Totally bummed because Lynnfield is my hometown & I used to like coming here but their waitstaff has some truly cranky inattentive members. read more

I am not a fan of Darden restaurants in general, but maybe the acquisition of Yard House is a chance for them to redeem themselves. Over 100 beers on tap means you have to put some serious thought into your beverage choice... and that is a-ok with me. Coming from a non-beer drinker, that is a big compliment. I also really like their food. I had their 4 cheese pizza and parmesan fries - both awesome. It was a long wait to sit down, but it was also a Sunday afternoon, there was a Patriot's game on, and we were in a shopping plaza with a lot of very high end stores in a new development. Today at the yard house was disappointing and Didn't meet my expectations. My $10 drink was half full sent it back and got another one half full so i gave up. My food was decent but my fiancé had a burnt steak that he barely ate it. He would've sent it back but he was already aggravated since we waited 40+mins to get our food. We spent a total of 2+ hrs wasting time here for half quality food. We wont be back for a little while. Our waitress was the only nice thing from today. read more

I went to the Lynnfield location last night with 2 friends that I worked with for over 20 years. The 2 bartenders working were Matt and Karla. Matt is a phenomenal bartender and made us pretty happy. Karla on the other hand wasn't very welcoming and quite rude from the minute we sat at the bar. After ordering food and some drinks she informed us that she wasn't comfortable serving us anymore. At this point she cut us off and handed us our bill. If it wasn't for Matt being such an asset to the establishment we wouldn't have left a tip at all. But Matt shouldn't have to suffer for his partners short comings. It's not the first time Karla has waited on me here, and every time she's been unhappy and rude. Even my wife wasn't happy with her service either. It's because of her, I probably won't visit this place again. It's too bad because I enjoy it, but not at the price of bad service. read more

Well I have been a fan in the past but tonight was extremely bad 1. Service was fine 2 the food was horrible. My fish and chips was raw. Yes raw. Even the waitress was grossed out by it. It is hard to recommend this place. The food quality isn't great, we had the Nashville chicken sandwich which was okay and the beef dip sandwich which was inedible. Service is poor, mostly because it's a mad house and everyone is always so busy whenever we come here. Have fun flagging down service staff to order drinks, dessert etc. and you barely get a word in as your server greets you by saying what do you want to drink then walks away immediately and then returns and says ready to order? This ends your interaction with staff for the most part, you then pay the bill from the computer on the table... I would rather save the 20% tip and get take out somewhere with better food. read more

I recently made my first visit to the Yard House and I was very happily surprised! To be honest, this wasn't our first choice for dinner. The place we really wanted to go to was closed for the night, so we popped in the Yard House. It was a busy night, but we were still seated within 20 minutes. Beer selection is huge! Apps were SO GOOD. I was expecting typical chain "steak house" food, but this place was not that. The range of apps was impressive (including many vegetarian options) and everything was delicious! Our server was very nice and attentive. She said that the servers are rated on whether or not customers use the tabletop kiosks, so she asked us if we wouldn't mind paying through that, rather than a traditional check. I've been to places that have those kiosks and the servers don't check on you, thinking you'll use the kiosk. That was not the case here, our server checked back at the perfect frequency, got us drink refills, and to go boxes with just a gesture. read more

If you're looking for a place with a big menu and an even bigger beer list, Yard House is meant for you. I sometimes get skeptical when going to places where the menu takes a solid 10 minutes to read through (can they really make *all* of these dishes well???), but most things that I've gotten at Yard House have actually been quite wonderful. You definitely have to be strategic about when you come here - I wouldn't even attempt this place on a Friday or Saturday night. But we usually can get in for weekday lunches or slightly-off-hours weekday dinners without much, if any, of a wait. I was a bit bummed to find out at my most recent visit here that they removed my all-time-favorite menu item of theirs, which was a summer salad with strawberries, romaine lettuce, giant candied walnuts, avocado, leeks, and the most amazing slightly-spicy balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Just typing it out makes my mouth water - it seriously was the best salad I've ever had at any restaurant, ever. But, thankfully I still have Yard House's delicious truffle fries and chicken tortilla soup (which are my other two favorite go-to options here) to drown my sorrows in. My one (slightly nit-picky) food critique is that it seems like this place is always facing an avocado shortage. Many of their menu items contain avocado, but there has been more than one time where they have seriously skimped on what they typically offer (the turkey club sandwich that I got on my last visit was supposed to come with avocado, but you literally needed a magnifying glass to find any traces of it). Same with the chicken tortilla soup, which usually comes topped with a generous avocado slice, but on my last visit (and a few other random past visits), it was minuscule. I highly recommend coming here during their happy hour (M-F 3-6pm or Sun-Thurs 9:30pm-close). For $7 (happy hour pricing), the amount of chicken nachos you get is absurd... and they are super tasty too. We've had a few tiny issues with our service over our past few visits (ingredients left off a menu item, missing silverware, etc.), but the servers are always very apologetic and quick to rectify any problems. Overall, Yardhouse is a very solid choice (probably the best food option in the Lynnfield shopping area!), and a place we will be continuing to frequent. read more

Delicious food! My husband and I loved everything. They have lots of great vegetarian options too! They have delicious drinks on tap. Their pineapple ale is awesome, I have never had anything like it before. I told our waiter, Paul, I was a vegetarian, after I ordered pasta he came back to make sure I wasn't vegan because the sauce had dairy in it. This was the first time any waitstaff have ever paid this close attention. You can call ahead or use their website to put your name in, I suggest you do as the wait can be long! My only suggestion would be to have them provide bread at the tables. read more
