we came here before a concert and it was such a good choice. we started with the spinach & artichoke dip and omg it was so fire. for my meal i got the korean cheesesteak with brussels sprouts instead of fries and it was so good. my boyfriend got the two pepper burger and didn't even offer me a bite--that's how good it was . great food, fun vibe, and the perfect spot to grab a bite before a show no matter what state you are in!! definitely recommend. read more

I came to this place last year and just came again this year. I got similar dishes and honestly this year's dishes taste better than last year's! However I wish there are more tuna in the poke nacho and the salmon dish was a little bland this time. However I'm so impressed with the beef noodle dish! We came at happy hour and some of the appetizers were half off and we were excited but we were a little underwhelmed by the service and she mixed up the orders. This was my first visit to a Yard House and I was impressed. I met friends for their happy hour which was a real deal. The drink and wine selections were very good, and the seared tuna app that I had was one of the best I have ever had. The chicken nachos were huge and enough to share. We stopped by this yard house to eat before going to a concert at Agua Caliente Casino. Happy we did. The service was outstanding! It was a Sunday afternoon early evening football was on all of the television people were having a spectacular time. I had the blue cheeseburger with applewood, bacon and garlic fries. It was fabulous. Everything was cooked to order. The bun was out of this world. I think that's what really made the difference for this sandwich. The wife ordered a chicken club that was tons of food. She couldn't even finish it. Our server was probably one of the best most attentive we've had at any restaurant in a long time. Your Yelp Elite Correspondent and his exquisite bride took our show on the road this weekend, as we drove out to Rancho Mirage to meet my brother Joe and his wife Vicky. Our short list of local eateries that we debated meeting at included Sancho's, Las Casuelas and that eponymous desert institution known for its koi fish pond and War and Peace sized menu, Billy Reed's. All of our prior visits to other Yard House locations, including Newport Beach and Long Beach, have levied wait times of at least 45 minutes. So we breathed a welcome sigh of relief when we were seated immediately. Art lovers, particularly of the expressionistic or surrealistic styles, are in for a real treat. The abstract works of painter JEROME GASTALDI hang throughout the space. Server JASHAN adroitly fielded our request for separate checks then kept our party of four well slaked with lime margaritas, Pineapple ciders, a Long Island tea and five refills of Diet Pepsi for your correspondent, the driver this evening. We commenced our meal with a duo of appetizers- Spinach Dip and Chips and Asian Glazed Brussels Sprouts. Leti's and my baby cabbages were bombastic!  They arrived wok'd within an inch of cremation, then bathed in a wickedly delicious Gojuchang sauce and tossed with finely slivered garlic. Truly a five-star appetizer and THE pinnacle moment of tonight's meal! Joey ordered a Pepperoni Pizza and his wife Vicky chose West Coast Style Oysters, served on the half shell with mignonette, horseradish and cocktail sauce. Judging by their scrupulously clean plates at meals end, I'd say that my brother and sister-in-law relished their food. My bride ordered the Cilantro-Lime Chicken while I made the mistake of ordering their 1/2 pound BBQ Bacon & Cheddar Burger.  I consider myself something of an expert on that All American of foods, having consumed burgers in 41 of our 50 states.  Though it looks quite inviting in the photograph, don't be seduced!!  The burger patty itself tho good sized, is underwhelming in its taste. Very little to no marbling, so I suspect YH utilizes a 90-10 or leaner blend of Ground Beef. The choice of an "Everthing" studded brioche style bun, tho exciting SOUNDING, is also a letdown. It arrives overly toasted, far too crunchy and the taste misfires as well. I'm really glad I upgraded my side to onion rings! They arrive beer battered, fried up well and just all in all an awesome tribute to the long overlooked (but splendid) counterpoint to any burger! The restroom is cavernous, very clean and suitably well stocked. The ample bathroom dimensions surely goes hand-in-hand with YH's gargantuan selection of draft beers. Pro Suggestion- Consider providing one or two small step up stools, so that fathers of younger kids don't hafta risk straining their backs to hoist up little Evan or Jaden to reach the sink. In the end, while I give the restaurant's design aesthetics and our Seoul-inspired Brussels Sprouts starter a 5, the entrees were such a disappointment that I hafta deduct a coupla points. Price point- $92, tax and tip included, for SAT date night with appetizers and booze thrown in? Not too shabby. read more

We went there with our lunch group on Thursday, Jan 8, 2026. There were 12of us that day. Athena was our FANTASTIC server. She started taking orders, but wasn't writing anything down. She got around to the two of us and my husband asked her how she was able to keep track of the orders and not writing them down. Athena, mater-od-factly, just said "I turn in the orders and hope for the best." What a great response. We got a big laugh out of that. Came time for the orders to be delivered and EVERYTHING was right! Even the special orders. And the food was excellent!! Love that place! And even though it's a "sports" bar, the TV's were not blaring so we were able to have conversations. We'll be back! read more

The wait for our table for eight was a little long maybe 20 minutes but once we were seated the service was friendly and fast. Our baseball team was tired, cold, and hungry after a round of golf at Desert Dunes so we decided on dinner at Yard house. We ordered a couple of pepperoni pizzas as appetizers and they were fast and flavorful. A couple guys got the jambalaya and really enjoyed it. One of us got the filet and said it was really tender and flavorful. I ordered the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp and it was fresh and flavorful with just the right amount of dressing. This is our first time at the rancho mirage yard house. We came for happy hour which is from 3 to 6. The Northridge location is close to where I used to live and I wasn't a fan of that location. A big selection of things are half price for happy hour. We had cheese pizza, lettuce wraps, spinach dip, and one cocktail for $35! How can you beat that. Everything was pretty tasty, came out hot and in a timely manor. Plus our server, Stephanie, was so sweet and accommodating. My only complaint is the martini cosmo is $2 off for happy hour which makes it around $10. It's really small and sort of sweet for my liking. I'm glad we had only one for the two of us. read more

Lots to like here, but presented in a loud, chaotic environment that betrayed the quality of the food. Yard House is a chain so you know what you're getting. Stepping in, you're greeted by restrooms and a long drinking glass encased in glass. Getting in and out of the restaurant requires navigating through a bottleneck ramp into the main dining area, which surrounds a very impressive set of beer pulls wrapped around the bar. There are so many TVs. That's an immediate red flag for me in any restaurant; it's visually noisy and bombards you with ads throughout your time there. To make matters worse, we were seated right next to the kitchen. My watch warned me that my environment was ear-damagingly loud, and the light spilled over to our table. Our server was on the ball and friendly, bantering with us, offering prompt drink refills, and gracefully making up for a mistake in the order due to a miscommunication. The food was great. The Spicy Tuna stack was well portioned and had great flavor, and the spicy shrimp dish was excellent. The Crunchy Ahi salad was seared perfectly, giving it the slightest taste of beef on the outside. And there are so many beers I'd like to sample! Their beer menu alone is worth the visit. I am very surprised it has been 8 years since my last visit. My son and I came in to enjoy a football game on Sunday morning. Yes, they know open at 10am to cater to the football crowd. What is not to like? There was plenty of seating to choose from and you could align yourself with a TV for viewing the game you are interested in. Cristopher S was our server and he was phenomenal. The suggestions for apps and food were homeruns. He was also very attentive and not in a hurry when speaking with us. We decided on the chicken nachos for starters, while my son had the Mac & Cheese and I had the SPICY Chicken Sandwich as our meals. It is six hours later and I am still full. The refills on the lemonades were continuous and I had to tell Chris that I was good with water. Food came out quick. Service was kind. 3 stars because my small chicken bowl, a bowl over $20, was a serving of salt with a side of veggies with 4 thin slices of chicken on top. I ate my chicken, choked down half of the dish, and couldn't finish the rest. I like the taste of quinoa and bok choy and carrots and mushroom. Whatever they use to stir fry is WAY to salty. Use that sauce sparingly please because it was borderline inedible. It's supposed to be a low calorie meal. I guess I'll eat less calories if I just don't eat, right? read more

This is the worst Dining experience I've ever had. Firstly, we waited 45 minutes to an hour for a table then we got literally the worst table in the entire restaurant right next to the weight staff and all the other people waiting that we're staring at us then we ask our waiter if we could please move over a table or two because they were wide open. She then says well I would have to ask the main manager to change we watch her. She doesn't ask anybody then she sits down two other families at the two other tables that were open, she says I asked the guy which is a lie and said "he said no". Not to mention she was very rude to us the entire time. Lastly, it was about 0° in there and so uncomfortable. I've always enjoyed going to the yard house, no matter what state I was in. I came here with family for a late lunch/ early dinner. We got some appetizers. I very much enjoyed the food and the poke nachos are always a go to when I eat here. All the food was tasty, however, the service was really bad. We barely saw the waitress and other runners kept taking over instead of her. I do like the seating and the layout of the area. It was s tad loud but what would one expect from a big beer loving place? I will still go back when in the area. read more

This review is for the Yard House in Rancho Mirage, next to the REI. We would definitely come here again. Everything was great! Food was excellent and delicious. We had the kale and romaine caesar salad, cobb salad, and fontina vodka penne pasta, and bread pudding dessert which came with ice cream. We would all order the same meal again. Service was excellent and timely. It was about 2pm and we were seated immediately. Our server answered our questions and suggested the penne pasta when we asked if they had fettucine alfredo (which they don't.) She even pulled up a photo on their online menu. Food was brought quickly and plates were cleared in a timely manner. Ambiance was excellent and cozy. The noise level was fine. The lite candle added a nice touch to the table. We travel a lot and have enjoyed the Yardhouse in Vegas, Waikiki, Tampa and Orlando. How terribly disappointing to have our friend's order be misinterpreted. She asked for the Serrano peppers on the side and so they also left all the sauces completely off. Instead of apologizing and getting the sauce on her poke nachos, our server Michelle argued that the sauce was spicy and claimed our friend asked for the dish not to be spicy. That may be how she heard the order, but not was intended. You see our friend and all our party had eaten the nachos before and would never ask for it without sauce. Now my friend is irate. Instead of taking the dish back and returning it with sauce, Michelle brings three different little sauces and expects friend to figure out how to apply it to the dish in proper proportions. One of the sauces is teriyaki and not hot at all, so explain why that was left off? Now my friend is really spun up and raising her voice and repeating the problem over and over and the server gets the manager. Instead of apologizing and fixing the problem, the manager defends the server, argues with my friend and threatens to throw us out. Sir, please google "how to handle an irate customer." You did the opposite of listening to the problem, apologizing and making it right. Which Google says is the proper response. In the end, my friend gave up on eating the dish, the manager credited the amount on her bill and the husband's scarfed down her nachos slathering it with the three sauces. I wolfed down my meal because I thought we were getting thrown out or would be leaving any moment. Not fun. Yes, my friend is difficult. She is 82 and lives with horrible pain. But you didn't have to get in a power struggle and spin her up until it was a showdown scene. I'm so sad because I used to love this place. A little training would go a long way for both server and manager. I have nothing personal against Michelle, I know she was doing her best.
