We are locals and this is one of our favorite places. Tonight they had NO beer to serve. WTH. The "Yard House" known for a yard of beer has no beer. They didn't care. Very disappointing. Don't think we will be back with Twin Peaks opening next month!! Shame on the managers. read more

We went for dinner on Saturday. Prior to visiting I looked over the menu on line, read the reviews and tried to get on the waitlist before we got there. Planning to meet friends we set the time for 4:30 hoping to avoid a long wait for seating. Like I said, I tried to get on the waitlist around 2:30 but it came back as it's not busy so no need to get on the isn't. We arrived at 4:30, it was crowded and people were waiting to be seated. We went to the desk and gave our name and number and we're told it would be 15-35 minute wait. Within minutes we were seated. Shortly after our server came and took our drink order. The beer list is extensive but is well organized making it fairly quick to make your selection. Two of the drinks were brought to the table quickly and two we had to wait a bit before they showed up. Kind of odd. Our server gave us some time to look over the menu and came back to take our dinner order in a reasonable amount of time. We mentioned that it was a nice place but that the music was a little loud and it made it hard to hear each other. She agreed and said the loud music made everyone talk much louder too. Again two of the dishes came out followed by the other two a short time after. Only note I would say here, the runner set my meal down and proceeded to drag the towel he was using for the other dish right through my meal! Ugh! The food was good, everyone at the table seemed to enjoy what they had ordered. There is a kiosk at the table for you to pay the tab. Our server showed us how to cash out and it was very simple. Our first visit there, not a good experience! Waitress was great but the food not so much. Took at least 15 minutes to get our drinks, appetizer came out first. When we got our food orders we had 3 orders of fries, all cold. My salad was not green but all of the white core which I could not eat. Supposed to be barbequed chicken but tasted like plain. My husband and I along without adult daughter decided to try the new restaurant. Since we knew it would be busy we got there at 5pm and was told it was 25/30 min wait. We were seated in 20 mins. We ordered our food and got everything at once. Appetizers and entrees together and my husband sent the entree back and after she ask if he wanted it boxed to go he told her to take it off. He was upset and didn't like his appetizer. My daughter got tuna and said the soy sauce was too much on the cucumbers. My house cheesesteak with ribeye meat did not have much cheese and it was overcookEd, probably well done. So none of was happy with our meal and it will probably be a long time going back there again. read more

I've been to yardhouse 4 times since it's been open. (4 months ago) every. single. time. it gets better. I like to try something new each time and I have yet to be disappointed. The orange chicken is my favorite, the portion is huge and there's plenty for left overs. The Nashville hot chicken & pancakes is a close second and don't even get my started on the mouthwatering pork burger (sounds weird) but the blueberry ketchup (also sounds weird) is something that you really just can't get anywhere else close to Sarasota. The staff is very friendly, helpful and patient, keep in mind this place is massive inside and out, they're very well trained at time-management. The selection of beer on tap is very impressive and just blows anywhere else in Sarasota out of the water.. by a long shot. I mean have ya'll seen the half yards they have? The verity of food on the menu from the appetizers to the under 700 category. They have something for everyone! Lastly, the overall environment is a a 10/10. great music, outdoor games, dog friendly, sports bar, great happy hour (and late happy hour) menu. I found the food to not to be very good. I went there tonight for dinner and ordered the Cilanto Chicken which was over cooked and dry served over cauliflower rice which Burt. I order the house salad as an extra and the lettuce was brown. The salad was 3.99 which would of been worth the extra cost because large salad. Sat out side which was nice. Maybe it was what I order. but found the food not to be that good and probably would eat there again. My service was good. read more

My sister was in from out of town and we were in the area shopping and stopped for lunch. We ordered the onion ring tower and 10 chicken wings. She had a house margarita and I had a salted watermelon Margarita. On the wings we had 5 buffalo sauce for her and 5 Korean bbq for me. The wings were ok to taste but they were not even warm and had that been done for a long time taste. They brought the onion ring tower out later as I thought they were, of course, making it fresh. When they arrived they weren't the appetizing fresh looking tower I was expecting but I wiped the sauce off my fingers and got one and it was completely cool to the touch. I felt the rest of the tower and they were cold and old. I it wasn't us. No one would have eaten those seriously. They waitress happily took them away and didn't offer more but said she would take them off the check which was fine with me by that point I didn't want any more of their food and my sister concurred. Her house margarita which I tasted was good but very small in a rocks glass. The salted margarita was not good at all it had this funky bitter taste could have just been me, it was small as well but good amount of Alcohol present. With both plates being cold, couldn't eat the onion rings, 10 cold wings and 2 very small drinks the bill was $39.63. Waited a long time to go and was very disappointed. Korean RibeyeWe typically visit new restaurants at least 6 months after they open to allow the "new" to wear off, but have seen so many good reviews, decided to try. There was a wait for tables, but we are bartop diners, so no problem getting seated. Bartender Bree was delightful, knowledgeable, and professional. There were 4 bartenders, 2 bar backs, and a trainer behind the bar. In addition to the multitude of beer selections, we watched many complicated cocktails being built. We arrived just before 5 and all the food we saw come out was steaming, so definitely at temperature. We waited a while to order, preferring to study the vast menu and observe operations. They turn tables efficiently and even if you had a 20-30 minute wait, your meal arrived promptly and you were on your way. We finally ordered. He got the Korean beef tacos and I opted for the vampire tacos. Both plates arrived at less than optimal temperature, but we understood the kitchen was in the weeds and the expos were doing their best to keep up. My vampire tacos were less spicy than I care for, but I carry my own hot sauce, so easily remedied. His Korean beef tacos we spicy enough. We'll order a plate of 3 to share next time. Odd observation for a restaurant review: I was pleased the ladies room was entirely touchless. Germaphopes will be comfortable there. We will definitely visit again, but will wait a month or two for crowds to dissipate. Bonus points: more than adequate parking! Almost unheard of at UTC. Very pleasant experience overall. read more

New place finally opened and went with two friends for a light bite. Wait was only about 25 minutes during happy hour and we found a seat at the bar to wait. It was very busy but they got to us at the bar with no real delay. Very nice people behind the bar. Got seated quickly and both the person that seated us, as well as the hostest taking the request for a table were very polite and friendly. Our waiter was David and couldn't have been any more attentive and fun. Made recommendations at our request and was around just enough for anything we needed. The only thing that disappointed me was the atmosphere. I was expecting more of a rock and roll charm to the restaurant, and unless I missed something, it was pretty bland. Music played but, again, just not what I was expecting. No wow factor. Fun night with the ladies and the food was good. Varied menu and prices were not horrible. We ate light with salads and sliders but entrees looked pretty good. Would go back and more than likely just sit at the bar where there is usally more going on. read more
