I have given up on Yard House. I feel bad saying that since their corporate office was so kind to me after my last review... but I will probably never step foot in this establishment again. There is almost always over an hour wait for a table for two-regardless of what time we have tried to get in. Plus the front desk staff is just rude. Add that to the fact that the bar is set up as a dinning area; so there isn't even space to get a drink unless you want to step over or around someone eating dinner. Which, by the way, makes waiting for a table the most boring hour(+) of your life ever! As I mentioned in my last review, their pagers don't go far enough to go to any of the stores in the mall. So what are you supposed to do for that wait? Stand around awkwardly and twiddle your thumbs? No thank you. I really wanted to like YH, the food is good and the beer list cannot be beat; but the first point of contact can make or break a business and theirs is NOT doing them any favors. read more

After playing some games at Dave & Buster's we decided to drop by Yard House. We came in for an early dinner and the wait was about 30 mins for indoor seating. They also have outdoor seating. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the host. Unfortunately, the hostess at the counter wasn't all that friendly. Our server Megan was excellent. She was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and patient. She checked on us during our meal and asked us if we were enjoying everything. Towards the end of our meal, the kitchen left us a little surprise in our dessert (not a good kind of surprise). I didn't want to make it a big deal, just thought I'd bring it to the kitchens attention so that it doesn't happen to other customers. Megan was so professional and quick to address it. Thank you Megan for being so great! There is plenty of indoor seating, they have bar seating as well. The restaurant gets packed quick though, especially on weekends. It was all hustle and bustle in here, with glassware hitting the floor left and right. We were a bit hesitant at first to try Yard House because of the 3.5 stars on Yelp but I'm glad we did. Everything we ordered from start to finish was delicious. I can't say we had a favorite from what we tried, since it was all seasoned well, came out fresh, and the portions were generous. Their drinks are amazing too. If you're into fruity drinks, their Sunkissed Sangria is the way to go. After hearing glowing reviews from several different people about Yard House, I just had to check out this new establishment at Springfield Town Center. **FYI: For those who have complained about the wait time, they do call ahead from Monday through Thursday to minimize your wait time. I would recommend calling an hour before you head there. I've been here twice so far and I'll have to say that I'm impressed. Their menu is extensive -- both the food options and the alcohol (they have 120+ different types of beer on draft!). The first time, the boyfriend and I dined here for dinner. We started off with the chicken nachos (delicious and big enough to share for 4 people) and the truffle fries (A+). The original entree I ordered was out of stock (sad face) and our server made a great recommendation for the ginger crusted salmon on top of wasabi mashed potatoes. The boyfriend ordered the lobster garlic noodles and he continued to rave about it for days after our meal. The service was top notch -- our server checked on us often and the manager also checked up on us. The second time, the girls and I had drinks at the bar. Each draft beer varies in cost -- but the prices aren't drastically different when it comes to domestic vs. imported beers. We ordered the mini peach apple cobbler and it was delicious on top of the caramel ice cream. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. This is a wonderful addition to Springfield Town Center and I look forward to dining out here more often! read more

Adriana AKA Andy was simply A breath of fresh air! Come here often as its convenient plus open pretty late. Usually get a good service but tonight was exceptional! Andy gave the best service ever I have gotten at this location. Despite being busy and my group hardly ordered anything, she came to check up on our table frequently with the brightest smile on her face. Being a waitress isn't easy all day with many tough customers but Andy makes it look easy. Kudos to her and the management who hired her. We need more people like her everywhere! read more

I've been to many yardhouse restaurants and this has to be my least favorite. I ordered the fontina penne pasta and the pasta was extremely dry. I asked my server if I can get extra sauce and the sauce tasted more like vodka than anything else. I asked my services to send it back because I couldn't eat it and I got the double decker blt instead. My server, Kiara, was really sweet and understanding. I barely write reviews myself because I work in customer service (hotels) so I understand but I was really disappointed especially because yardhouse is one of my favorite restaurants. read more

Yard house was pleasantly yet surprisingly delicious. You should start with their truffle macaroni and cheese. The restaurant is very generous with their truffle oil in this dish. So if you can't handle truffle oil I would advise you from not ordering this appetizer. The truffle mac and cheese comes with pieces of chicken and bacon. It seems like they make their own noddles for this dish. The noddles were super bouncy and fresh. So if anyone could verify that for me, that would be great! As far drinks go, order their Moscow mule. It is made from their house ginger beer. I have had the Moscow Mule at a lot of different locations. I have visited this Yard House location several times. YH is a national chain, and this location is typical of the other locations I have visited. The have a large, almost overwhelming, selection of beer. The beer is organized by style and takes multiple pages. I can always find something to my liking. I'd say their menu offers typical pub food. It includes a section that includes plant-based "meat." I usually pick one of those selections. I like their French fries. The service has always been friendly and reasonably prompt. I will likely return to this or other YHs when traveling. read more

First discovered this on the west coast, and was so happy they brought one to the area. No frills huge menu restaurant where you can watch sports and have drinks. The Ahi tuna crunch salad is my favorite and always a must have. Weird I know as they have other decent food. Waiters and waitresses are generally nice and give decent to good service. He got the 20oz ribeye and I got the 20oz Korean ribeye and it was amazing. I didn't however care for the spicy fries. In my opinion didn't go well with the ribeye. Yard House is a decent place to have a date, though the service is very hit-or-miss here (though mostly miss). Without boring you with specific service details, I will tell you that my first experience here was with a group and the second with a date. Our group's server took our initial orders and never bothered coming back, instead leaving us to fend for ourselves by imploring the bartenders to help us out. Not a great way to get people to spend money, right? As for the date night, we sat outside which was very nice, though the service again lacked in the area of making callbacks. The food here is quite good, and the menu offerings are certainly unique. Add to that an extensive draft beer selection and you're in business. Wait times for this location tend to be quite long the larger your party is, so time your arrival carefully. The interior is very classy (if a bit dark), and the outside is a very cool experience. While I would consider coming back here again, it's on the cusp of my three-strike service policy: good food but bad service on three occasions and you're done. Here's hoping your trip here doesn't strike out! Overall: 3.0 stars -------- Pros: - Food is quite good, and you'll definitely want to try out some of these unique signature offerings. - Draft beer selection ensures you'll never be left wanting (or sober) again. - Atmosphere is nice both inside and out. We are frequent guests at the Yard House in Springfield Mall, and have always enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and most of the servers, especially Jose. We started going to this particular location when Joe Monterey was the GM. He was great and always made each visit a pleasant and enjoyable one. After or during Covid, Yard House started to use this electronic device at every table for the guest to use for placing orders. We refuse to use it! We go to the restaurant to be taken care of, and to be served by the server, that's why we are considered "guests." After a hard day at work, I look forward to going out to eat, and being pampered and taking care of. Is Yard House now becoming the grocery stores that have self checkouts? I have heard other guests complain about using this electronic device. From my understanding, if the servers do not use it, or do not have the guest use it, the server will be written up with a warning. I find that to be extremely unfair and very controlling. In addition, the atmosphere at the restaurant has completely changed. I have noticed that when Adrianne, the manager, is working, there appears to be a lot of tension and stress in the restaurant. She doesn't appear to be people oriented or pleasant. This is not good. Some of the employees appear to be walking on eggshells. I actually called corporate in reference to this electronic device, and was specifically told that although each table has this instrument, if the customer does not feel comfortable using it, or prefers not to use it, it is to be removed off of the table. Therefore, from now on when I go to the restaurant, I will ask for it be removed off of the table. I am a very good tipper... Sometimes tipping above 20%. Came in on a surprisingly busy Monday night and was told we would have a 15-20 minute wait. We ended up waiting 35 minutes before being texted and seated by the host. The waiter took our orders, gave us our drinks, and put our food order in. I finished my water rather quickly and never saw the waiter again until the food came out (30 minutes). I ordered the Pineapple chicken with jasmine rice and broccoli. The chicken was juicy and the sauce that came on the side paired well with the rice, but the broccoli wasn't done very well to say the least. We never saw the waiter again and paid using the "self checkout" touch screen on the end of the table. Overall pretty good food but descent service. read more

There were some horrible chucks of fish that smelled suspicious. I was concerned because I had already eaten some of it. I came home and felt sick from my experience. There's a good chance it was food poisoning. So I ordered a side of fries. And they were soggy and sad. I was about to cry that I spent my money to eat here (Didn't complain to the manager or anything, I just ordered something else to eat) . I even invited company to dine here. I would not recommend ordering fries out of the inconsistency in quality. I used to like this place-- but there are SO many better places to eat now. Happy Hour was outstanding! I appreciate that they have a wide variety of appetizers that are half off during happy hour. We got the poke nachos, poke stack, chicken nachos, fried chicken strips, and fried calamari. The poke nachos were my favorite. Raw ahi, avocado, cilantro, sriracha aioli, truffle sauce, crispy wontons, and whatever else they got in there was delicious! I really like the sauces on it. The chicken nachos are an extremely big portion, great for a large group. Plenty of chicken, avocado, cheese, and chips.Yummy. The chicken tenders and calamari were also pretty good. The poke stack is presented nicely. Definitely photogenic, although I take a picture of all the food. Our waiter was friendly, and brought out our food and drinks in a timely manner. Also provided his opinion on what he likes, what sells, and any other questions we had. Seemed knowledgeable about the menu. Also enjoyed the atmosphere here. Although it was crowded, the restaurant is spacious, and the cushioned seats are comfortable. Plenty of TVs all around and great for big groups. The food was great. I ordered the meatless Beyond Burger, the calamari appetizer and Parmesan Fries. All were delicious. I also enjoyed the atmosphere..it was laid back and fabulous, w/nice TVs all around. The restaurant is attached to the Springfield Mall, which is cool. My only concern is I didn't care for our waitress and her attitude. She was very Unattentive. I got frustrated when our food came out and she forgot to give us forks. We had to wait a while for her to come back to ask for one. And she seemed to have an attitude. However the greeters at the door and the waiter that brought out our drinks and appetizers were very courteous and welcoming. So..the good food and the great atmosphere made up for her slack. The food was good and service even better. I had the Louisiana chicken sandwich with fries , thought it was good, came with a little bit of slaw on top I would have liked more slaw but still good. We had the chicken nacho appetizers as well as the guacamole. Both were really good. My friend had a steak for her entre and my husband a salad with quinoa. They both enjoyed their meals . During a standard-in-any-restaurant 45-minute wait without a reservation, we stood at the bar and drooled over the drink menu. So many amazing beer and cocktail choices! My friend chose the Cucumber Citrus Tonic made with Bulldog gin, Aperol, citrus agave, tonic, fresh cucumber & orange, orange bitters whereas I reluctantly settled for a big glass of H2O and optimistically look forward to my next visit to try some of the more interesting libations. Our server was super friendly and helpful. I started with a cup of French Onion Soup followed by the Roast Beef Dip. She ordered the organic tomato bisque and the Thai Chicken Pizza. I found the food to be a little too salty overall, but still quite tasty. My roast beef wasn't as rare as I would have liked (I'd requested med rare but it was more medium). Portions were generous and prices are excellent. Our server had accidentally put in our soups separately versus as a combo with the meal (a cup of soup is only $3.50 if added to a meal), but when we brought it to his attention, he gladly made sure to adjust it. Firet time trying this place and I honestly might never come back. I got seated very quickly and the server came to ask what I would like to drink pretty fast. I got the drink and since it was my first time there, I wanted to have a good look at the menu. I asked her I would like a little more time to look at the menu, which pretty means like 3-5 minutes. After about 2 minutes, I decided what to get, which was the pineapple chicken with rice. I waited over 10 minutes for her to come back and take my order. I realized that the pineapple chicken with rice was a whooping $20, so I was expecting some quality ass chicken. Oh boy was I wrong... My girlfriends order came out pretty quick, and I watched her munch down while I was still waiting for mine, 5 minutes pass by, empty water cups and half of my girlfriend's entree devoured up, She comes and checks up on us. I say mention I still don't have my entree and she gives me a confused face and in 20 seconds, BOOM! Pineapple Chicken With Rice. Looks really good, I mean its chicken and rice, with a $20 price tag, that chicken better look good! I cut in to it, and I notice how hard it is. I eat it, and guess what, dry ass chicken. Great. Never coning here again. My water did get refilled though when I asked for the check. The service was so slow and pretty impolite. The hostess was rather snobby, not welcoming at all. The food was not even okay. I did have to send back a salmon salad, because the inside of the salmon was a glossy, undercooked texture. It was very pungent, as well. I snacked on over salted edamame, in the meantime. My sister had ordered a turkey burger, but was brought out the impossible burger...? The waitress said she was given the wrong dish, and would go get the right one... very strange. Her turkey burger did come out shortly after, so who knows. The turkey was good and cooked perfectly, but the bun was greasy and soggy. She got sweet potato fries with it, they tasted good, but were not very warm. My salad came out when she was about half way done with her meal. No real apology.
