Im always looking to find good carribean food spots ever since i moved here from ny. Ordered the curry goat , jerk chicken, the escovich (a favorite of mine), and a couple patties. Everything was hittin. The portions are big and the flavors were poppin. Also small but important note is that the texture of the plantains was just right! I've had several things on the menu, and everything is delicious!! You hear me? Everything is delicious!! My favorite is the Curry Jackfruit; it's spicy, unique and soooooooooo good!!! But the BBQ Jerk Oxtails are fire, so it the curry salmon and each of the patties! I love the ginger pineapple juice! The steamed vegetables were delicious and healthy. Each meal was layered in flavors and not heavy. The chef and staff are friendly and efficient. I had the jerk chicken bowl and I would say it was the equivalent of a teriyaki chicken bento and really good as a lunch item. Flavor profile is similar to teriyaki, but more towards spice flavor than soy sauce. It wasn't very hot, but did have a small kick. I live in orange county and i've driven an hour+ JUST TO EAT HERE several times. the oxtail is so good. it's got the just right amount of flavor to it, and it's cooked so well it just falls apart in your mouth. i always save the rice to eat afterwards with the oxtail sauce on it. i'll drive hours to get here any day. karuba's, if you're reading this, please come to orange county!!! read more

Absolutely delicious! I tried the jerk chicken and the jerk jackfruit. Both options were very well seasoned and spicy! The cabbage was fresh, the plantain was cooked to perfection, the rice and peas fresh and seasoned as well.
