Really wanted to try stuffed wings after seeing someone talk about them so of course I had to come here!!! They were moist, savory with a bit of sweetness , and the skin was a nice crisp. They were a lot bigger than I imagined. Would order again! Pad Khee Mao is one of my favorite dishes and this hit the spot just right. The sauce is very saucy and savory. A lot of restaurants like to hold back on it but they made it just right. They gave me a generous portion for the value. I will also order this again. My mom ordered the Pad See U with seafood and she wiped the plate clean She really enjoyed it and the fish sauce for the stuffed wings. Naga Bistro is restaurant specializing in popular Thai, Lao, and Cambodian food! It is located where Wild Ginger Thai Cuisine is but the sign has not been updated. There is a decent amount of seating inside. The server did well by coming by to check in on us, but the food took a while to come out which is probably because they are making everything fresh in the kitchen. We got the Potstickers, Naga Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, Pork Belly Combo, and Pho (Kathiew). I personally got the Pad Kee Mao with vegetables at a medium spice level. I enjoyed the Pad Kee Mao! It was darker and saucier than usual, but still fine. Half of the dish was made up of the vegetables, so I think I would probably get a meat or only noodles next time. It also was not as spicy as I thought it would be. My boyfriend liked their Pho! I saw on an older menu that it was correctly named Kathiew, but it said "Pho" when we went and that might have been to make it sound more familiar for customers. My friend also loved the Pork Belly Combo. The pork belly looked really crispy. I think this is a solid place to try various Southeast Asian cuisine all in one go. Weekday lunchtime-ish review I don't really have anything critical to say about this place or the meal. It wasn't busy and the server we had(a guy)was super polite and attentive without being constantly at the table. Our food all came out seasoned well, fresh and of solid quality. They even remade a dish before it even came out because the cook in the back wasn't happy with how it looked. We found that out when our server stopped by to let us know it would be slightly delayed-fine by me, I'd rather wait for new instead of over cooked pork belly. I loved the food! I went during their brunch special on a weekend and got the congee. Not the most gourmet congee, but I could add whatever toppings I wanted and their options included so many southeast Asian toppings that I just can't get at other Asian restaurants. If you're looking for gourmet congee, you may not like it, But if you're looking for congee with the best customizable toppings, this is the right place so it's really what you make it. They also had drinks that were very creative. The server was super nice and answered so many questions. This place is a very casual place so you can wear whatever you want. TLDR: 4.5/5 fried pork laap was excellent, pad Thai had great texture and sauce but was a bit sweet. Went here as part of their soft opening because I heard it's from the same group that owns snack box bistro, one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. Naga bistro also sells pork belly laap, my go to order from snack box bistro, so I went with that and tried the moo ping for an app as well as their pad Thai (which comes with shrimp and chicken). The pork belly laap was very well cooked, crispy, tangy, and herby. It comes with a side of sticky rice as part of the price, a welcomed difference from snack box bistro. I think snack box bistro tastes slightly better but not enough to justify the drive to Duluth so I will definitely be coming here again. The pad Thai was very well cooked with nice chewy noodles and a perfect sauce to noodle ratio. Enough to coat the noodles but not too much to be wet and runny. It was a bit sweeter than I prefer, but still very good. The moo ping was very tender and flavorful from the herbs and being grilled, but was smaller than expected. Service in general was a bit slow, but will chalk that up to the soft opening. One of our group's order was lost by the kitchen but they kindly took 50% off her check as an apology. Overall, an excellent meal and I will definitely be coming back. I expect it will only get better with time. read more

Naga Bistro took over the Wild Ginger space off Savoy Drive. Word is these are the owners of Snackboxe Bistro. Naga serves Thai, Lao, and Cambodian food. A close friend of mine, who heard about this new spot, recommended it to me. We went family-style and ordered a variety of dishes. FOOD - Roti with Cambodian Chicken Curry - Nam Khao Salad - Beef Lad Na - Pork Belly Combo Box - Chicken Cha Kroeung - Water Spinach - White Rice - Sticky Rice Everything was fantastic! I appreciated the variety of flavors in the dishes, which included sweetness, heat, umami, and citrus notes. Each plate was beautifully presented and delicious! Highly recommend. If you've never tried Lao or Cambodian food, don't worry! The menu here is easy to understand, and all ingredients are listed. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, so ask questions! UPDATE: Owner Thip messaged me and informed me that they have bigger chairs upon request. Also found out that the photo taken is not the basil chicken, its a lemongrass chicken (so they possibly gave me the wrong order as I ordered the basil chicken). It is also nice to know that the same chefs from Wild Ginger still work at Naga Bistro! I regular at Wild Ginger and was surprised that Naga Bistro has taken over since the signage wasnt updated. I decided to try it after reading that they were owned by the same people who ran SnackBoxe, which I love! The renovations they made to the restaurant is nice and have a modern take to it. The chairs however, are a little on the flimsier side so as a bigger guy, it made me nervous to do any sudden movements in fears of breaking them. The nice thing Wild Ginger had was a lunch menu, but Naga Bistro didnt have that. I tried their basil chicken and tomyum, which honestly was not the best. The chicken had a sliminess to it and the sauce itself was on the saltier and bitter side. The tomyum didnt taste like traditional tomyum either. Service and ambiance was good, but overall the food was disappointing. I think it's still soft opening, it's located at the old wild ginger location! Came for dinner on a weeknight and when we walked in it wasn't too busy, but was definitely picking up throughout the night! Got the pork belly combo, kathiew and tom yum soup. The pork belly combo was definitely my favorite ! It came with sticky rice, spring roll, papaya salad, hard boiled eggs and a soft drink!! It was so worth it! The stick rice texture was so good and paired so well with the pork. The jeow som sauce also was amazing to dip in! It was spicy and sour, a great combo. The pork belly had the perfect amount of meat to fatty, and it was so crispy. The kathiew was so so flavorful and hearty! The noodles were also so good. It is a little bit thicker than pho noodles! I loved it! There was also tons of meat in it and even seafood. I didn't get the crispy fried bread though, maybe they ran out? And I forgot to ask cause they got busy! I really want to support our Southeast Asian community restaurants and businesses, but it's so hard to when they don't want you to support them. We have been to Naga Bistro multiple times since they opened. Today, was not the day. We waited around 20 minutes for someone to take our order. During that time, we noticed a lot of menu changes, but that makes sense since they are awkwardly still in their soft opening. After we ordered, our food came about 25 minutes later. When the waitress dropped our food off, she tells us there was only one sticky rice left so she would get the regular white rice for us and ran off. I had to call her back to question why the white rice and becuase we were still missing some items we ordered. She said "well there's no more sticky rice." No apologies or asking if there was a substitute available, she just ran off. Another lady came to ask how everything was, and we had told her the pork belly wasn't crispy, the chicken wings were bland and as tiny as your $1.65 sauce, and we only received one sticky rice. She goes "oh okay." And she walks away. We will not be coming back. The service and food were terrible, despite not being busy at all! It's so hard to support your culture and community when they don't try better for themselves. read more

This small restaurant was busy on a Sunday evening. Located where Wild Ginger used to be (outside signage still says Wild Ginger as of 1/18/26). Came in with a party of 11 and were promptly seated. They may be understaffed because the service was very slow, especially with how long it took the food to come out. Our food came out piece meal style with one person receiving their food, the next person a few minutes later, so on and so forth. It kinda sucks when this happens because the first person's food always gets a little cold as they patiently try and wait for everyone else's food to come out. Our food also didn't quite come out correct. One person in my party had ordered no spice on their laap, while another person ordered medium spice on theirs, and those got mixed up. Another person had ordered steamed rice with their laap but got sticky rice, while the other person was told that they ran out of sticky rice and was given steamed rice. With how many things that got mixed up, I'm curious if my laap dish also received the wrong spice level, as it was quite spicy for a medium level in my opinion. The Kathiew was decent - it closely resembles pho but has a bit of a tangier profile. I wish the beef rib was more tender, but otherwise I appreciate that it came with a good amount of meat and some shrimp. A good dish for a cold day! The food overall was decent but nothing amazing - perhaps Cambodian and Laotian food is not quite for me. I think the lacking service hurt the experience for me. This Laotian/Khmer restaurant occupies a space that still displays the previous tenant's signage, which can make it easy to miss on a first visit. The menu covers a mix of familiar and regional dishes. The Lao sausage is a simple, well‑seasoned starter served with a chili sauce. The Khmer‑style pho has a noticeably stronger beef and pork profile than the Vietnamese version and comes with a substantial amount of meat. The Naga Pad Thai follows a traditional preparation and includes generous portions of chicken and shrimp. The Cha Kroeung--a basil and green pepper curry with chicken--was one of the more distinctive items. Presentation across dishes is thoughtful and pleasant. Service has been friendly and efficient. The interior is slightly romantic intentionally arranged, with small table lamps that give the room a slightly more intimate feel. The interior is nice & cozy. The restaurant sign on the outside is still "wild Ginger" instead of "Naga Bistro". Service is good, friendly staffs. Food is average. We had Prahok Ktis which is the better one of the 4 dishes. Water Spinach is a little tough and on the sweet side. Papaya salad (Thum) is also on the sweet side; not enough of umami authentic flavor. It was just the two of us and decided to try this after reading about it. So I was pleasantly surprised that the restaurant is owned by the same people who own Snack Boxe! Naga is definitely an upgraded version of the now shuttered Snackboxe in Doraville. We ordered the Pork Sausage, Kathiew and Water Spinach. The pork sausage with the sauce was a perfect bite of savory, sour, spicy and sweet. The sauce definitely gave the pork sausage a lift. The Kathiew came with an epic rib bone! Shrimp and beef slices. It really was delicious and not overly salty. My only quibble was the water spinach. The wok wasn't quite hot enough and so the vegetable stayed a little too long in the wok which causes it to lose its crunch. We were too full to order dessert but did try a slice of coconut cake which was lighter and not as sweet as we expected, which is a good thing because we don't like our cakes overly sweet. Overall a solid experience especially for the restaurant's soft opening. FYI, the restaurant is located in the old Wild Ginger restaurant location. read more

Located where the Wild Ginger used to be, Snackboxe Bistro has opened a new establishment in Chamblee. The menu has familiar and new items that blend Laos, Thai, and Cambodian food. The quality was superb, and everything was a flavor bomb. Our staple dish to order is always the papaya salad, and it was consistent with what we know from Snackboxe. Came to this gem of a restaurant on a Sunday around lunchtime, it was quaint and there were a few customers. It was really cool how there is a drive thru. We had really high expectations as we frequently visit snackboxe and hot cafe. The food was good. I'm glad they have nahm khao. The flavor was really good and authentic but I wish they had more of the crispy rice... not sure if they premix it all together ahead of time. The crispy fried pork belly was also good but there were a lot of fatty pieces. Overall I'm happy to have another Lao restaurant in the area, but I still prefer snackbox. read more

We ended up at Naga Bistro kind of by accident thinking it was a different restaurant recommended by a friend but were so happy we did! The ambiance is really nice and the service was wonderful and friendly. And of course the most important part, the food was great. We love SE Asian food but had only ever tried Thai Malaysian and Vietnamese restaurants. Naga has dishes from other SE Asian countries like Cambodia that we had never tried. We had the chicken laap, tamarind chicken wings, sticky rice and water spinach salad. All were super flavorful and delicious. We will be back to try some of the other menu items for sure. The one thing to note is that the sign on the building doesn't say Naga (I think it said wild ginger) but if you go to the address listed on yelp you will find it no problem. read more

Spicy Clams: Tamarind dipping sauce added brightness and depth. Crispy Pork: The standout--perfectly crisp and full of flavor. Prahok Ktiss: A Khmer staple, thoughtfully toned for newcomers without losing its identity. Charred Steak: Tender, well-seasoned, and uplifted by the jeow som sauce. Dessert is essential: the fried banana with coconut ice cream is the perfect warm-cold finish to the meal. With wine and beer only on the beverage menu, a classic Lao Beer rounded out the evening. Frequently customer of wild ginger, saw that it had changed to Naga and tried it out - not great Called in pickup order - went to drive through to pick up food. Sat there for a while as staff walked past the window but didn't engage. Went around the building, parked and went inside. Asked the staff member if drive through was still in use - yes but they were busy. Looked around, 2 tables had customers Picked up food and drove home Roti - green curry sauce which was ok but not the usual curry, chicken was on the bone. No lamination in the roti to give it the flaky buttery taste Basil rice - flavorless, had to add some soy sauce to get some salt in the dish. Basically this is bland fried rice with a couple basil leaves thrown in - no sauce coating the rice and no seasoning Massamman curry - average Not ideal, recently opened and maybe they'll iron out the kinks - but service and food gotta improve a lot read more

We were excited to hear that Naga Bistro was opening so close to our house! We used to love Snackboxe bistro and this place is the same owners and the new and improved version! We tried it for lunch the other day and everything was delicious! We got the beef laap, which was flavorful and spicy in all the right ways. We got the naga pad Thai which was delicious, and lastly the spicy basil ground chicken, which was also really yummy! The flavor profile is similar to Thai food and really fantastic and fresh. The servers were attentive and nice, and all the food we saw going to other tables looked fab too, so we look forward to going back and trying more soon! Great addition to the area! read more
