One young lady was polite and cordial, but overall there was a noticeable lack of coordination and communication among the team. As I waited, the customer line continued to grow with little attention paid to those of us waiting. While waiting, two employees (one African American and one Hispanic) began shouting at each other and appeared ready to engage in a physical confrontation. I even encouraged nearby staff to de-escalate the situation so service could continue. This was extremely uncomfortable for customers and reflected poorly on the store. When I asked an employee named Juanita (per her name badge) if she was the manager, she said she was not. However, it later became clear that she was in fact the manager on duty. This interaction, combined with the visible lack of respect and cohesion among staff, suggests deeper issues with leadership, training, and team accountability. I understand that running a busy store is challenging, but customers -- regardless of background -- deserve prompt, professional service, especially when picking up pre-ordered catering for important events like a wedding. Without satisfied customers, no business can thrive. Unfortunately, this experience was so frustrating that I have decided not to return to this location. After more than ten years away, this visit confirmed I will seek alternatives going forward unless absolutely necessary.
