We started with one of my favorites, the cheese rolls. These were so light and airy and not too filling before the meal. And the presentation was super cute--they came served in a little basket! Next up was the Hot & Sour Soup, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I actually finished the whole bowl! The serving size was perfect--not too much, just enough to warm you up and leave room for the rest of the meal. The Pad Thai was SO well flavored. Everything was blended together perfectly without one flavor overpowering the other. We also ordered the Lemon Chicken, and I loved that the chicken was a thinner cut and breaded evenly, giving it that perfect crispy texture. And that lemon sauce... I'm convinced it must be made in-house because it was REALLY good! You can definitely tell this is becoming a favorite in the area. Fast and friendly service. Went for dinner on a weekday. We were seated right away and our order was taken as soon as we were ready. I ordered the massaman curry. It came with a side of rice. I thought it was comparable to all the good curries I've had. I like this curry because it is never as spicy as red or green curry. My friend ordered the pineapple fried rice with shrimp. It was a very big portion. She liked it. The restaurant is big with inside seating. They have a constant flow of to go orders as well as dine in. I ordered the hot & sour soup (medium spice level) the spice came from I believe red pepper flakes? it wasn't bad but if you are looking for a hot & SOUR flavor this soup is mostly sweet & hot. Was looking forward to the Panang curry so I ordered one beef and one chicken. Curry was delicious, however disappointed that chunks of peppers and unflavored canned green beans dumped into it. No craftiness, no finesse. For $15/$16, I assumed this was going to be spectacular but it was mediocre at its best. It appeared they weren't too generous with the side of rice and chicken either. Lunch special was really nice. Came with a cup soup and a spring roll. I opted for the Thai ginger with tofu bc I wanted the mushrooms, carrots, bell pepper and jalapeños plus ofc the ginger that it came with. The side of rice was a nice accompaniment. I've been to this place many times before and it's always delicious. I've tried so many things off their menu and it's all fresh and the flavors dance on your tongue. This past weekend however, they really out did themselves treating my party of 12 with the absolute best customer service and delicious food. Our servers were absolutely wonderful and kind!! Let me start by saying the food is delicious, my low rating is because of the lack of professionalism of the manager. I was speaking to the hostess on the phone about my order, she was offering options to rectify the mishap, when the manager takes over the call, and when I said that we were not driving back 25 minutes to pickup a re-fire, she tried to turn it on me for how the order was placed. Don't be fool by the name of the restaurant and the appearance of the plate pictured not all Yaya's Thai restaurants are the same. First be aware they use same base sauce so if you order Basil or Thai garlic both will taste the same. I think we may have found our go-to Thai restaurant. I came here on a weeknight with my husband after searching online for a Thai restaurant with good reviews and decent pictures, and behold! Ya Ya's Thai. It was pretty quiet and empty when we came in, but a couple other parties came in while we dined. Our waitress was pretty friendly and helpful when it came to ordering. We had noticed their specials board on a small chalkboard by the door when we walked in, and decided to get one of them: pork rib appetizer. They were fried and covered in a sweet, tangy sauce, and they did have some bone pieces in them. They were really good though, absolutely delicious. We ordered a red curry and a panang curry which looked and tasted similar other than some of the vegetables included being different, but that was fine with us because they tasted good. Nothing to die for, but something that is worth coming back and recommending to anyone looking for Thai. read more

While attempting to finish our meals, I made a comment to something my grandmother said, "everyone's missing something from their dish" and my dad said the funniest (and true) comment of the experience..."Yeah, satisfaction". We cracked up. The food was lacking. None of the steamed vegetables were seasoned at all. No salt. No pepper. Nothing. Half of them weren't cooked through properly either. Raw carrots leave something to be desired. Especially in a watery curry. I was charged a dollar for my raw carrots. Which I was not happy about as I wasn't told when I requested them that it was an up charge. The teas were all bad, some of them tasted sour like the tea was old or the container wasn't cleaned properly. My dad got the teriyaki chicken, which he commented as being dry and the sauce had a bad taste. Overall none of us was happy, just hungry enough to try and eat. The Hostess/waitress was nice and polite but I felt lacking. She didn't have answers for most of our questions. My grandmother liked her and we all felt she was doing her best being the only person in the front of house. Overall, we will not be back. And it ruined the idea of Thai food for my grandmother, so now I'll have to fight to get her to try another Asian restaurant. read more

It came with a dark peanut sauce that was *mmm, chefs kiss* we also ordered the edamame, that was great as well I would recommend the lightly salted instead of spicy. Last but not least I got the Green Curry with chicken, it was balanced beautifully in flavors. The hint of lime , was just right! It came with a bowl of white rice! I think they may be having issues with their online ordering system. We ordered the day before thanks giving. We were able to go online, place our order and pay. When we went to pick it up it was CLOSED. So we had spent money, but weren't able to get any food. Fortunately we called after thanksgiving and we're able to get our meal then, but there should be some kind of warning or fail safe system that doesn't let you order if the restaurant is closed. Kinda dumb. Food was ok, the Pad Thai is HOT. So if you're wanting some Spicey Pad Thai, this is authentic (I believe) and will leave your tounge tingling. I decided to pick up some food for my papaya salad craving. I tried to call but no one answered but took the drive nonetheless. I really like the wide range of options on the menu and the food has always been fresh in my opinion. They don't really go over the top either customer service but I'll chalk that up to pandemic stress. One lady came back asking for forks and napkins and when I got home I didn't have this either. Wow. To call me pleasantly surprised by this restaurant is an understatement. My boyfriend and I were craving Thai food on Friday night and I saw that this restaurant had opened up on Potranco. Given the location and the newness of the restaurant I'm embarrassed to share that I had low expectations. However, I'm so glad we decided to try this place out because the food was delicious! Anytime I go to a new Thai restaurant my go-to is Pad Thai. Ya Ya's Pad Thai was pretty tasty! The tamarind flavor of the sauce was very nice and there was a generous amount of chicken. My boyfriend ordered the Spicy Pepper with beef and chicken (stir fried bell peppers, carrots, mushrooms, onions, jalapenos, and scallions) and said it was very good. We also both ordered Thai Teas and they were also yummy. For both of us our meal came out right around $30 which was nice. The ambience of this restaurant is casual but the interior is very pretty. This restaurant would be nice for a date night or for a meal with your family or friends. Service was very efficient and I like that he brought us water and straws (long ones for the Thai tea and short ones for the water glasses) with our Thai Tea's even though we hadn't asked for them. As a person that loves Thai food... this does not impress too much. The environment and workers were very nice and welcoming, had no issues with them at all. Place is clean. However, the food was very meh. Nothing stood out to me, and it definitely did not taste very authentic, unfortunately. It tasted how "Americanized Thai food" would taste. Also over price for the amount of food they give you. Had the appetizer sampler - great to share between two or three people that want to try more than one appetizer. It comes with, fried spring rolls, fried shrimp rolls, coconut shrimp, cheese rolls, fried tofu. Coconut shrimp was a tad burnt, but still decent. This is a very oily plate, so if fried food is not your cup of tea, don't order it. Also, the coconut shrimp tasted as though it was fried before, and was fried again to make it hot to bring out. Hot pot - Tom yum Seafood : it was ok. If you like your tom yum to not be as sour as usual, then this place would be for you. I prefer my tom yum to be more sour. To me this wasn't as flavorful. They put a lot of mushrooms and onions in the soup to make it look like there is a lot of stuff in it.. however, there were only couple scallops, few shrimps and one muscle in the entire hot pot... I thought that was a bit odd... not worth the "seafood" extra cost for this soup. And for it being "hot pot" the soup was never that hot... maybe not enough "fire" Thai Tea - Pretty basic, you can't mess it up. It was good. Pad See Ew - Beef: Some pieces of beef were really chewy.. not cool. The noodles of choice is not my favorite that they used. I got it "medium" spicy, but there was no spicy whatsoever.
