This is a very hole in the wall kind of spot. Barely any seating inside, B health code grade and smells a lil funky inside. We picked up food to go and I'm glad we were only in there for a few minutes. The Pad See Ew was mild in flavor but had a poor meat/veggie to noodles ratio. It wasn't that sweet as the Thai iced tea back in Chicago or any other places I've been to beyond Chicago Illinois. Their Tom kha soup was also a so so meh ok. It seems like they didn't add basil and lemongrass which is one of the ingredients to any of the soups. Next to using onions which they shouldn't have done it wasn't bad but wasn't the best either. Their chicken yellow curry was good however I think they could have added more fresh basil. The owners were friendly however I felt like this is more of a hole in the wall ambiance. Service was fast but it was weird that they served the curry I ordered first before they brought out soup. I think a lot more people carry out here than they do dining in thus the ambience. Thought I would try a new place out, and Thai Lucky was massively disappointing. The Thai egg rolls were pretty small, which would have been fine if they hadn't been burned. They also only give you .5 oz of sauce for the egg rolls - that's pretty cheap. The hot and sour soup honestly tasted like they had taken the sweet and sour sauce that is served with the Thai egg rolls and just diluted it with water. That was the extent of the flavor profile for soup. The paht thai was the least disappointing item I ordered, but it still lacked any of the flavor most paht Thai has - they didn't even include a lime with the paht Thai! The food was ok. Nothing to write home about. The wings were "different". They were the full wing attached. And when I got home I noticed that I was changers a 15% service fee!!! WTH??? I pour chili oil on almost everything I eat, so Thai Lucky, with a spice level of "Thai Hot", is just what I'm looking for. It wasn't unbearably spicy, but added the perfect mix of flavor and heat to my food. I got the Drunken Noodle dish with tofu, which is my signature dish, of which I've probably had dozens of times at many Thai places. I was expecting the best Thai food from the reviews, and while it was good, it was far from the best for me. All of the dishes, from the green curry, phat se ew to the tom yum soup had lots of veggies in it. Not only was it plentiful, but it tasted fresh, and not frozen. My favorite dish was probably the papaya salad, full of that wonderful fish sauce taste that I love so much. What I didn't care for, however, was how soupy the green curry was. This was probably one of the soupiest versions of this dish I've had. The phat se ew was just bland and the noddles were really clumpy when it arrived. I didn't get any other flavors other than the soy sauce. But what really broke my heart was their tom yum soup, which wasn't remotely sour. To me, a good tom yum is supposed to be both spicy with the right amount of lime juice. Theirs just fell flat. This definitely isn't a bad Thai restaurant, hence the 3 stars, but I bet there's another Thai place nearby that speaks more to me. read more

Here is my reason for the low rating, the single dish was $14.95. I had ordered it as takeout and they automatically charged a 15% gratuity, so that plus tax the total came out to over $18. For that size portion I was expecting $12-$14 out the door and probably would have left a $2 tip. Times are tough but not $18 tough and the gratuity is for me to decide if I think you had good customer service, it was the old school way of me letting the resturant / waiter know if they went above and beyond basic customer service.
