The smell as you walk in is intoxicating...my husband's coworker told him about this Thai place and we had to try it. Holy moly is it delicious! We decided to start with the coconut shrimp, I absolutely love anything and everything coconut, this appetizer tasted like coconut - I'm not sure if they cook it in coconut oil but it so good! I got the panang duck, the duck was crispy and almost tasted like pork belly mixed with chicken it was perfection! The panang curry was so tasty, I got it with medium spice, it was great! My husband got the green curry with beef and well he loved it! Ate every last bit. The service was great and the ambiance was quite chill, I don't remember hearing music - it was quite quiet. Came here after a recommendation. Was not super impressed. Service is slow and there are lots of notes explaining that. I can appreciate truly cared about preparation but the food didn't exactly hold up to that expectation. It lacked flavor. It was just a bit bland. The waitress wasn't super friendly to us but was to others. We never complained or gave her a reason to be upset. We felt like she didn't want that table and was given it anyways. We ordered for pick up as my parents requested that we order for pick up for our Sunday meal. This was the perfect place to keep the entire family happy. My grandpa had a rib fish with steamed veggies, perfectly seasoned for his taste buds. My dad and I both ordered a pad Thai, one medium and one hot. Our decision was that medium was great for someone who enjoys spice, but doesn't want to break out the milk. The hot was delicious, but did require some tissues and a glass of milk :) Every appetizer we tried was delicious! The panko chicken, wings, and pot stickers were each a 10/10. Best Thai in San Antonio without a doubt! Walking in feels like a cozy French café with Thai smells. The staff here are very friendly and care about your comfort, they sat us at a table making sure the sun wasn't in our eyes. The menu has tons of pictures and great descriptions to help you if you are unsure. I always get Khao Soi. Everywhere makes it different and this place really stands out. This is my second favorite bowl on earth. So many flavors, with the perfect balance of salty, sweet, spicy, and sour. Dad and I were looking for a Daddy-Daughter dinner spot last night. I figured to stay within our area and chose to visit @thaiburisa. It's in the same plaza as the HEB Plus on Blanco and 1604 next to Tealicious. Dad noticed that there were many stopping in for to-go orders. Dad had the Butterflypea Tea (no caffeine) and I had a Singha beer. We shared the appetizers: Pyramid Spring rolls, which had potatoes, and Coconut Shrimp. Dad likes soup so I ordered the Chicken Rice Soup. It was very hearty and full of chicken. Then we shared the Kow Pad Pineapple with chicken. I asked for the cashew nuts to be served on the side since that would be hard for Dad to chew. We were too full to have any dessert and had leftover food to take home. DO NOT order online, or if you do- Make sure you double check that your food is prepared properly before leaving the restaurant. I had ordered two dishes, Kow Pad and Pad See Ew. The rice in the Kow Pad was incredibly dry, and barely edible. The Pad See Ew was made with the wrong type of noodle. (This dish is traditionally made with wide rice noodles. The noodles in this "Pad See Ew" waste tiny and absolutely not satisfying!) Food tasted as if it had been sitting out and then warmed up in a microwave. Portions were small for the price. We came here as large group of colleagues and they accommodated us pretty well; we were lucky to come here towards the end of the lunch hour so there were a few tables ready. Ordering went pretty quick, we had to split the bill 3 ways for a group of twelve, which was fine since we could just Venmo each other our part of the bill. I ordered the green curry and got it medium spicy. It was very delicious. I like how they didn't make this curry over creamy and you could actually taste the green curry paste and it had a nice little kick too. Though I think I could have gotten it hot but not Thai hot. What a well laid out little place, they utilized the space very well. Quite a bit of seating! The service was top notch and the menu choices looked really good. We were happy with our food choices. I ordered one of their top choices, Panang curry with chicken - I felt it was sweeter than I expected but still very good. I also ordered a side of sticky rice, and much I do not feel was worth the $4 extra fee, it was ok on the outside edges but got harder, liked clumped together too tight, on the inside. The food is good specifically the curries. The noodle dishes are horrible. Straight up sad. The noodle selection is the worst in San Antonio. So if you are looking for anything but skinny noodles skip this place. I love noodle dishes but my partner loves curries. I die inside every time he wants to come here. It's his favorite spot. The food was all amazing. The pad Si-Ew is the very skinny noodles, kind of similar to glass noodles, it's not the thick noodles that are the pad See Ew. It was still great! We ordered one spring roll appetizer and four dishes, including the recommended tom yum soup and laab duck. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. The laab duck tasted stale and did not seem fresh at all. The tom yum soup had an overwhelmingly sour flavor, with very little depth beyond that -- it was basically just sour and nothing else. The vegetable dish portion was extremely small; it only filled about half of the container. The curry dish was just okay in flavor, but it had very few vegetables and only a small amount of beef. Even though none of us are big eaters, we still had to cook additional food at home afterward because the portions were so small. Overall, it was a bad experience. read more

Thai Buri is a delightful little place in San Antonio. The Ambiance and service in this restaurant is some of the best I've seen. There walls are adorned with custom signs that are all playoffs of generic kitchen signs which I just find delightful. Their staff are some of the kindest and funniest people which single-handedly made the entire experience enjoyable. However, best for last is the food they had. I managed to score a curry that was at an appropriate spice level for me (medium) and it was some of the best Thai food I've ever had. The quality of the cooking was delectable, and the prices were fairly good. I will be excited to revisit this place next time I come to San Antonio. 14/15 Only reason to not go is if you have a peanut allergy read more

Went with a friend on a Sunday as she was raving about it as her go-to for Thai food. I was so hungry so I actually ordered 2 entrees--Pad Wun Sen & Mild Chicken Curry. My friend ordered Salad Rolls to start off & that was perfect & refreshing with the Imitation Crab, carrots & lettuce wrapped in rice paper. Everything's made to order so it may take a bit longer to prepare. My Pad Woon Sen was tasty with glass noodles, chicken & veggies. I usually sprinkle some lemon or lime juice prior to eating. The Green Chicken Curry was had a spice to it as you can see the red chili pepper flakes but not too spicy. I was able to take home some leftovers as we wanted to get Boba Tea next door at Tealicious. Prices are a bit higher than other places but the food is good. If you're in the area, check it out but also note that the construction on 1604 may cause backups on the 1604 East frontage road once you get out of the parking lot. read more

When I visit a new Thai restaurant, I always first order a Pad Thai. This dish is so commonly ordered that I feel if a restaurant messes up on a Pad Thai, it's not a good sign. I called in 15 minutes before I arrived to ask if they are dog-friendly since I saw that they have an outdoor patio in some of the pictures. The benches have umbrellas. The staff said that indeed we were able to bring our dog. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. Service was great! She even brought out a water bowl for our dog while also refilled our water a couple times. We ordered a chicken pad thai and a tofu khao soi. The broth of the khao soi was excellent. The noodles were slightly overcooked, so as a result, it was on the softer side, but I think the aroma and flavor of the broth trumped that minor setback for us because I still enjoyed the khao soi very much! The broth had the perfect amount of curry flavor, sweetness, and tang from the lime juice. The chicken pad thai noodles were cooked al dente, which I appreciated! In addition, I'm not a huge fan of dry rice noodles sometimes because the rice smell can sometimes be overwhelming (not sure if anyone has experienced this before eating pad thai), but the dry rice noodles they used did not have that overpowering smell and the flavor was there! It had a good balance of sweetness and tang. We devoured everything! Thai Buri is on the pricier side. I do wish the portions were bigger, but it is in a nicer area. The inside looked very cute and with a lot of decor, from what I saw during the quick moments I was in there. I definitely will be returning to try other dishes and their speciality items! read more

First time and I enjoyed every moment..from the decor to the meal. It was a group of 9 and we didn't call ahead but they pushed some tables together and made it happen. After ordering, the food came out relatively close to each other so everyone were eating around the same time considering 9 different orders--that's appreciated. The servers came around and tap up our water/teas automatically without having to ask--that's great service! The food was really good! When asked how spicy/hot you would like the meal, I would say start with medium and work your way up as different restaurants spice things up differently. Very pricey, smaller portions than other Thai spots. I felt a little rushed when ordering. The service was definitely quick though. The inside is unique and cute! I just feel like there are much better tasting Thai places, with more fair prices, even in this economy. I think the location of this restaurant has a lot to do with it.
