I have a huge crush on Thai food so when I saw this place got high praise, my interest was peaked. Inside the restaurant it's real nice. They have a small bar area and I could tell this place gets packed. The owner was kind and helped with my order. I got a to-go order of Drunk Noodles with chicken ($19) and an order of roti ($12). HIDDEN GEM! This place has the authenticity and comfort of a mom/pop/hole in the wall restaurant, without the holes in the walls. The ambiance and service is great, and it's extremely clean. The roti is a must try & was brought out by the sweet chef, which felt like someone's mom serving you at a family dinner! Food is phenomenal and made fresh to order. My sister ordered the fried rice (also phenomenal) without peas, which we thought may not be possible due to being premade but our server (who was great) quickly assured us that'd be no issue. Service/place: excellent service. The place I think is ideal for dates. It was hot but I'm not sure if that's just because most places are having trouble keeping up with the summer heat. Food: Food was good, but the prices and portions are not competitively priced to the other Thai establishments. Most other Thai establishments come with more food at a lower cost or at least the same cost as this place (just more food). Everything that you might would get with a meal at another place is an extra cost as well. Since the food is good if you are looking for a romantic dimly lit restaurant to go on a date I'd recommend it-- but if you're just craving Thai no because you can get it cheaper elsewhere. read more

This is a beautiful and calm space with midnight blue walls, gold accents and comfortable black seating. There's a well stocked bar in the back of the restaurant that can seat 5. My group started with the Tom Yum soup. This was delicious, with a perfect balance of spicy and sweet. We also tried the red curry with chicken and the pad Thai. All was vibrant and flavorful. I tried Yaya's for the first time and it was good! We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty chill. The interior is cute, clean and cozy. The server was kind and patient while we made our decisions. I ordered the seafood curry, medium spice with seafood and it was tasty but definitely sweeter than I expected. I'm partial to more savory curries but it was still so good. My mom ordered the fried rice with shrimp add-on. We also shared the egg rolls. Even though we didn't have room, we had the brownie à la mode for dessert. Pretty tasty overall. read more

I was told this new restaurant is the brick-and-mortar version of a pop-up that once operated out of a service station. I had never visited the original, but my nephew raved about the food. The ambiance here exceeded my expectations--the dining area is much larger than you'd guess from the modest strip-center exterior. The furnishings and décor are tastefully done. The restaurant offers table service, and both the service and our waitress were wonderful during our visit. My three favorite dishes were the Tom Yum soup, the Thai Isaan-style ground pork, and the Papaya Salad. We also enjoyed the Drunken Noodles and the Roti with Massaman sauce. The Tom Yum soup was phenomenal. I love this dish to begin with, and their version is hands-down the best I've ever had. The flavor was amazing, and the fresh vegetables really elevated it. It's served with rice, making it a hearty and satisfying bowl. I definitely recommend this place and think it's going to become very popular. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a while, and it definitely did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated right away. The restaurant was spotless, beautifully decorated, and I especially loved the paintings from Thailand throughout the space. The food was absolutely amazing, and the customer service was just as impressive. Our server, Nong, was incredible she answered all of our questions, gave great recommendations, and made us feel so welcome. A literal hole in the wall... the location is quite confusing but interesting because it is adjacent to a bar but right before entering the bar, there is a special door to the Thai food. You enter the place... it is small and quiet, then you place your order using a screen, sit down and wait. The food was served really fast. The roti with curry sauce was AMAZING. The drunken momma noodles and rice were also really good. They close at 10pm which is convenient. Also it is easy to also place an order for pickup since they place all orders on a shelf and you just show up to get your order. I will definitely go back!! read more

Tried to come here on a weekday since we were in town and wanted Thai food. Came to the address listed on yelp (2205 David Dr) - only to find a burger place. Google had a different address. So we called the number listed on Google to double check before driving around wasting more gas. No one picked up so we went to another nearby Thai restaurant instead. Restaurant needs to update their address and add a phone # so others don't have the same issue on Yelp. read more

This is a very good Thai restaurant hidden in the corner of a nondescript strip mall on the Metairie edge of Kenner. The food was excellent. Green curry chicken great. Cashew chicken great. Ambiance and pricing were quite nice. Service good. Recommended. Worth hunting this place down. read more

Amazing hidden gem. Great flavor and service! Spice levels tended toward Thai levels and not US hot. Be conservative and enjoy.

The food is very tasty, but the portions are pretty small. I got suckered into buy one get one free from Uber eats but they gave me half the portions and almost no sauce with my red curry. Without an extra entree, this would have not been worth over $20. It did taste good though, so at least there's that. read more

Delicious food that comes out piping hot & well flavored. My husband really enjoyed the wings (crunch & size). I like how the food comes out on a normal dinner plate because it feels like I'm sitting at my own dining room table. The kiosk ordering is easy & amazing for the introvert in me, but I do wish we could order drinks from the bar (mainly talking about soda but alcohol wouldn't be a bad idea either) from it instead of a separate interaction and transaction with the bar. I settled for a bottled water since there were just a couple drink options available via kiosk. Also, I did find $19 for Pad Thai with tofu a little steep for the portion size. I will definitely be back though to try more things because I can tell it's all going to be tasty. The restaurant has about 5 tables and a separate entrance from Brewsky's bar, but there is a half door connecting the two spaces if you'd like a drink from the bar and a regular door to actually enter the bar. read more

I'm a huge fan of Thai curries. I eat them almost weekly. Massaman and Panag being my favorite. I was driving to one of the many places in Metairie I frequent but it was a Sunday and they were closed. So I decided to check for other options. Pretty much every Thai place was closed except YaYas so I went there. I planned on a chicken Massaman Curry and figured they would have that or at least a green curry. I pulled up to a bar that used to be a Daquiri shop I went to a good bit in the aughts. The Thai place is shared with a bar (that has great drink prices by the way abs a chill atmosphere) but the Thai restaurant also had a sitting area. Instead of a hostess there was a kiosk. You order at a screen and can get to go or dine in. You can also order from a QR code on the menu. You order and they text you and bring the food out to you. I ordered a Thai tea and a firecracker shrimp app and a Massaman Curry. I was shocked to see it offered for only $8.95. Usually I pay around$13 for this for lunch up to $18. This was a good price. The shrimp appetizer and Curry exceeded expectations. I didn't leave a drop behind. I did add spice to it. As I like it a little spicier but not Thai hot so ordering hot can be risky. I write this a few days after my first meal as I returned today for another massaman Curry and Thai tea. It's a good filling meal for a great price. Though I'll get the beef of shrimp next time. I like the set up here and for introverts they msy love this place. Though for people who expect a server and hostess you may be disappointed by you CAN go to the bar and be served. Would I go back here? I already did. I'll probably stop here a few times a month. Try them out. read more

Been wanting to try this place out. We usually go to royal Thai, and bunsi for Thai. Ordered online was easy. We had the curry and pad thai. Both was done really well. It's attached to the bar, so bathroom is inside bar. Kids can dine in, but can't use the restroom. Would definitely come back again. read more

The roti was the worst Ive ever had and it's something I always order. It was fried which I have never had it that way and it was so so greasy. The whole container was soaked in grease, and all I could taste was grease lol. The curry was spicy & delicious. The fried rice was nice. The chicken wings were pretty good with a nice thick sticky sauce. And the pad thai was pretty awful unfortunately. It was really red looking and very dry. Plus the noodles were a lot thinner than normal pad thai noodles. All in all not sure it was worth it. Prices are high. read more

A spot you would never know was there, on a busy street tucked into a big dark bar. Even at lunch time there were people drinking and playing darts. But on one corner there are a few tables and a few tourist posters of Thailand where you will find delicious Thai food. We enjoyed the lunch specials, which at under $10 were a bargain this day and age. We tried the green curry and masaman, both authentic and flavorful. Highly recommend. read more
