    OMG Roll
    J Christian E.

Went in for an early lunch so it was rather empty. They have lots of seats so large crowds should not be an issue. Our waiter was friendly and the menu has a lot of sushi options to choose from. I order myself a Hamachi nigiri and OMG roll. The fishes tastes good and has a clean taste to it. Will definitely try the other selections they have!

I appreciate Yayume for being one of the restaurants staying open later these days. Sometimes you're not ready for dinner until 8pm and Yayume is open till 9:30. Their hamachi is delicious. The service is great. The

We celebrated my husband's birthday here for a dinner date night. This is our favorite Japanese restaurant in the area. We appreciate the excellent friendly service.

Yayume is my favorite Japanese restaurant in greater Bay Area and I've successfully persuaded many of my friends to agree with me. Sashimi is fresh and foos always look so mouthwatering! I tried many new rolls today. The Salmon Q appetizer has fried rice patty at the bottom with crab meat, avocado and spicy tuna on top. Every bite is full of flavors. Sunshine roll has Chutoro on top and also has burst of flavors. Service is great. I appreciate the ice bucket for the Nigori to keep it cold. Can't wait to try other food next time!

Updated review after 2 years, for in-person dining. Yayume used to be one of our favorite spots for a meal right before or after a movie at Regal Crow Canyon. Unfortunately the theater folded and with us recovering from pandemic lockdowns and as busy parents, going out is more of a luxury. I am thrilled that Yayume offers consistently good and fresh nigiri sushi and Teriyaki salmon and chicken entrees. Our 2-yo is a huge fan of the salmon and he can probably eat the whole filet by himself! I do recommend getting the Teriyaki sauce on the side for both dishes, since that way you control the messiness factor and seasoning. Service continues to be friendly. One time they offered a free orange juice for little man and the other time free mango mochi ice cream dessert for everyone.

Excellent dining experience at Yayumi. Great food, great friendly arrive and a nice roomy clean environment makes us coming back for lunch and dinner time and time again. Sashimi's are always fresh and tasty here. You can't go wrong with any rolls or sashimi dishes here

We love this place! I am new to sushi and the very nice lady talked me into sushi that is deep fried, OMG it is good! I know, it's not sushi if it is deep fried, but it's don't care, it's good! Not a fan of the texture of raw fish? Maybe some day?

We were curious and it's close by so we thought to try it out. Entirely uninspired food, dirty old menus just blah.... 2 stars only because the woman serving was friendly and helpful. No need to come here again.

Finally got a chance to try out this place after passing it a few times. We came on a busy Friday night and got seated in a nice private corner of the restaurant. Workers here are nice and efficient. First thing we noticed is the amount of regulars coming and going from this place. Just judging by the greetings and some of them even left with holiday gifts of sauces. Got sat down and noticed the pricing. It was higher than we expected. Yes we were in San Ramon, but it was in a sleepy strip mall that, if it were in a different city, definitely would have felt sketch. Ordered up a couple of rolls and got me one of those sushi combos with assorted nigiri. Food came out quick. Wow. Very impressed with how "pretty" and colorful all the plates looked. Definitely more of a high end type eatery - the fish was super fresh tasting and just melted in your mouth. Everything was so so good, and especially the salmon nigiri. My kid loves salmon and she commented how good it tasted and why she only got two pieces. I told her well, honey, they're $8, let's try something else. We got some of their grilled foods, and while it was nothing to write home about, it was fine. But definitely their fish is the specialty here. You 100% get what you pay for. TLDR-If you're in the mood for some great sushi at moderate pricing, then look no further!

I've been going to Yayume since before the pandemic, and I am so impressed with their consistency. It's been the same good food for years, and I go here quite often with my friends and family. The servers are always accommodating, great service. Even though it looks crammed when it's busy, the atmosphere is very cozy. This is my favorite restaurant!

I will start with this. On the table and on the menu, they've taped this verbiage "Please note that all prices may change without further notice". It's taped on the table and stapled on the menus. I didn't think much of it at first. The food was good. We ordered sushi and ramen and it was good. No complaints there. We got our bill and it looked a bit off....didn't think much of it. Anyways, this morning I had a chance to compare and here we go! California Roll: Menu Price $6.95, they charged us +1.00 more Philly Roll: Menu Price $8.95, they charged us +$1.45 more San Ramon Roll: Menu Price $15.95, they charged us $ + 1.00 more Cant they reprint their PAPER menu to reflect the NEW prices...instead of charging what they feel like depending on who the customer is. Not saying that they do it this way but to me, as a customer, that's how I see it. If I'm feeling blue today, then I'll charge $2.00 more....I mean, c'mon! Sorry, my reviews are normally not sarcastic. Anyway, y'all beware when you get your bill.

Salmon Teriyaki and Sesame Chicken full entree

This is my second time coming here and I really enjoyed their food. They are open untill 9:30PM which is a plus for me because I usually eat dinner late. Parking was also really easy. They are located in a small lot across from the movie theatures. When I got there a little after 8, there were a couple of parties sitting down but not many people. Upon entering we were greeted and seated super quick. The waitresses working are always super nice and attentitive. Decided to order the sesame chicken entree and salmon teriyaki. Each of these come with a miso soup and a house salad. These were both around 21 bucks which I think is a bit on the high side but reasonable with inflation and it being a japanese place. However both were really good. The Salmon was really juicy and not dry like alot of other places. The Sesame Chicken tasted more like orange chicken but was decent and super moist. They do put the entiree on a big plate so the portion looks super small but the portions are reasonable. Last time I came, I got their sashimi (Salmon and Tuna) and they were really fresh!! I would recommend this place to anyone that is in the area and looking for a place that is open later as many places around the area close around 8:30. Will be back soon!

    African Spider Roll
    Colette D.

We had the African Spider roll which had soft shell crab, shrimp, unagi and avocado, the 49er roll which is always refreshing with the thin lemon wedge on top, we also got the OMG roll which was super spicy for me. My son got the chicken teriyaki dinner and we added extra gyozas which we always love to share. If that wasn't enough we added edamame and tempura vegetables. Their tempura sauce was probably one of my most faves I've had. Would come back again for sure.

They are located on the second level of the center and there was plenty of seating. My friend and her boyfriend and I were seated right away with the kind waitress. Looking at the menu, I know I had to try their signature ramen as well as a delicious appetizer. Chicken Karaage: This was delicious and crispy. The chicken was also moist and the Mayo sauce was good. I really enjoyed how the chicken was not oily at all and it was packed with flavor. This was a delicious starter. Hiroshi Tonkotsu Ramen: This is their signature ramen. It is a pork broth ramen filled with thinner noodles, an egg, bamboo, mushrooms, scallions and some truffle oil of sort, and not to mention two pieces of pork. Overall, this was a delicious broth. The soup was not too salty for me and the flavor was divine. The noodles were a bit thin for my liking, but still good. My only gripe was that once the broth settles and you eat most of everything, I cannot sip my broth due to the grainy texture I get at the end. Overall, I had a good time here with my friend and her boyfriend. I see myself coming back here again.
