Once I prepared my bowl I took it to the cook station and the cook did his magic. Then I was able to get lots of wonton and sweet and sour sauce and because of that I definitely had to take most of my food to go. Ben the Mgr was very gracious while checking on other customers he saw I had hit a food wall and was kind enough to pack my food to go. The staff made me feel welcomed and asked me to come back. This YC's location is the best!!!!! Visited the restaurant last Friday for dinner. As always, the place was cleaned, and the food was delicious!!!!! My husband and I chose YC Mongolian because we were recommended it by family and it did NOT disappoint! The pricing was great and I woils normally expected to pay more. Popped in today for a yummy bowl of spicy stir fry. As usual, plenty of leftovers, too. All the ingredients were super fresh and tasty. Gloves for guests to use so the tongs would not be contaminated...very nice arrangement of all the fresh ingredients. Sauce Boss Ben (manager) was there...cheerful and friendly as always. Good deal, pretty much what you would expect. The cooks could let the food go a bit longer. They weren't even busy and I felt like the food was just cooked enough, barely. If you aren't a huge eater you can get the Togo option and stock up on an extra lunch. Seemed pretty clean, we dined in and the staff was chill. First off I'm a snob and really want to hate this place. The whole concept just doesn't seem right... BUT it works! We came by to celebrate a birthday for one of my children. This has been his favorite go to since he was little, he is currently a 22yo. We were a group of 10 and were waiting on 2 more people to show. The younger guy, who appeared to be the manager, told us to just go find seats to wait. Super nice guy! While waiting a group of 20-25 northern az firemen came in. I always use to go to the one in scottsdale and I was happy to see that they are still around. Very Covid compliant-- gloves for each customer when creating your own stir fry, spaced out tables and masks required. The staff is super nice and helpful from initially paying for your selected bowl size all the way to the Mongolian hot top chefs. Love that you are able to make/build your own bowls (+sauce concoctions) and the meals are very filling. Much recommended. read more

Great food! Go for large bowl. And don't worry about the unlimited bowl, it's not worth it.

This place never disappoints. Fresh ingredients, and you control what you'd like in your bowl. Parchment paper is provided to squish down your food to fit as much as possible in your bowl. You can fit a lot in their small bowl. The guys on the grill are always nice and I appreciate them, I'm sure it gets hot back there! Your meal comes with a drink and access to their soup/rice bar as well as the best wonton chips. Ice cream included with dinner. 10/10! read more

The price isn't bad for how much you can cram into your bowl. It also comes with rice, a drink and some soup. There were plenty of options and a variety of different sauces. I would suggest filling up your sauce bowl. Once it all gets cooked there doesn't seem to be much on the food. But overall it was pretty tasty. It is 50¢ per take home box. read more

I went for the large, packed it full and had more than enough for two meals at $18.99. It was clean and the manager spent a great deal of time CLEANING, while his staff worked the tables, grills, and food prep. Good food, welcoming staff, and fair prices all make this restaurant a fine addition to my regular rotation. When I first entered the restaurant I was approached by an employee named Krys who was an incredible help to me finding my bearings. She provided me some excellent pieces of advice and made sure I was comfortable with what was going on through the process of crafting my bowl. The food was terrific! The unique style of this restaurant allows you to select exactly what food you eat, which I am a big fan of. I had a delicious mix of mushrooms, chicken, peppers, noodles, pineapple, and zucchini with the recommended Chef's Choice blend of sauces. I also took the opportunity to try their complementary wonton chips, which were good dipped in the sweet and sour sauce. The restaurant itself had a great laid back atmosphere with some tvs showing sports programming and an eclectic music playlist that was an enjoyable accompaniment to my meal. The patrons all seemed to mind their own business while employees regularly maintained the eating area, keeping the restaurant quite tidy. I look forward to eating here again. read more

Stopped in for lunch. Mongolian is the best and this location did not disappoint! Plenty of items on the bar. Cooks nice and meal cooked to perfection - twice as I had two bowls. Not many compliment drinks but the unsweetened ice tea was some of the best I've had - No Togo boxes for unlimited. But was offered a to go cup. Nice touch as 109 outside. Staff was pleasant to everyone and inside was clean and getting cleaner with the frequent wipe downs of common areas. I appreciate that there are "recipes" for success. I adore that the manager (?) personally helped me every time to try his favorites. Talk about customer service + the ingredients are fresh with a wide variety of choices. The meat is sliced thinly for quick cooking. I saw signs for adding shrimp so I'm assuming that is kept in back on loads of ice. There are masses of veggies and a wide variety of noodles. After the grill there is a rice bar (included). Fountain drinks are also included + people were PILING their bowls and mashing them down to maximize their value. Fine. I didn't care about getting "my money's worth" and I wanted to try a few recipes. I opted to do the unlimited. With this there is no takeaway if that is important to you - I don't have many negatives. The only one was that the ice cream machine (also included) was down for a bit. You have to try at least once because the concept of building your own grill bowl is just so fun. But the price has gotten a lot higher than what I remembered from a couple years ago. I guess it has to do with the overall inflation in food services, a medium bowl is around $18 and it could be quite expensive if you're not really great at stacking all the food on top of each other.
