Not my first time at a Mongolian BBQ restaurant, but my first time here at Blazin'. I came in just before the lunch rush so I was able to grab a bowl, get my food, and sit down in under 10. There's lots of space in the dining area so you'll have plenty of space weather you have a small or large group. I wish the A/C was cranked a bit more, between the heat outside, the grill running, and me making a spicy bowl, I definitely had some sweat on my face. My local MBBQ back home has AYCE options for bowls, but where Balzin beats that for me is the unlimited white rice, fried rice, and ice cream. I'm not sure what was worse? The owners threatening behavior to an unhappy former customer and anyone who is one or the service and dirty restaurant? Read the owners attempts to make everyone wrong who has a poor experience below and then threatens them with legal action, which is illegal! So I am expressing my disappointment with the treatment and overall experience I had at this restaurant. Unfortunately, from the moment we walked in, the experience was unacceptable from start to finish. To begin, the restaurant itself was in very poor condition. There was spilled liquid on the floor with a wet floor sign placed over it, but no effort was made to clean it up. Flies were present, and despite the restaurant being nearly empty, there were very few clean tables available for customers. At the register, I was prompted by screen to enter my phone number for your rewards program. While I was in the process of doing so, the cashier, the brunette employee wearing glasses, abruptly cleared the screen and told me that there was no rewards program and that I didn't know what I was talking about. This was both dismissive and unprofessional. As my friend and I proceeded through the buffet line, the same employee stood across from us and closely watched every item we placed in our bowls. This behavior felt intrusive, uncomfortable, and unwelcoming. The situation escalated further when I prepared my sauce in a bowl and added my noodles into it so they could absorb the sauce. The employee loudly reprimanded me, stating that noodles were only allowed to be placed on top of the other bowl, not inside the sauce. This seemed arbitrary and unnecessary, especially given that we had both purchased large bowls and did not take advantage of other included items such as drinks beyond water, soup, rice, or dessert. Being spoken to in that manner over something so trivial was frustrating and embarrassing. It felt as though the focus was on policing customers rather than providing a clean, welcoming, and professional dining environment. I have attached photos showing the condition of the restaurant and the lack of attention to cleanliness and customer service. It is concerning that more attention was given to monitoring customers' food choices than to maintaining the restaurant or assisting guests appropriately. I strongly encourage your team to reevaluate staff training, customer service standards, and cleanliness protocols at this location. This experience fell far below what should be expected from your brand. read more

I'm doing this review literally because the staff helping us out today March, 13,2026 was sooooooo rude and disgusting. The food quality and portions are okay, nothing out of the ordinary at a Mongolian restaurant. Somehow the new staff members are so rude, starting with the cashiers and the guy who heats up the food, I pay extra for shrimp and the guy gave it to a different customer and try to blame me for handling him the ticket and him assuming the guy in front of me and I were together so he put it on his plate. The place is nice and clean, the music and temperature inside was nice, the outside looked clean, there were couple tables with dirty trays full of dirty dishes, but nothing out of control. This place is really good! We're from a different state where it's called Mongolian Grill, and we've been craving it for about four years. We were so excited to realize there was one right down the street from our house, next to the movie theater we always go to. My husband and I did the all-you-can-eat option. I'll admit--after two bowls, I was completely stuffed. Honestly, I could've just made one large bowl like everyone else and probably ended up with the same amount of food, but the price difference would've only been a couple of dollars anyway, so it really didn't matter. What I loved most was how easy the flavor options were. At the end, there's a bold, clear list that's easy to read and follow, so you can choose your sauce and seasoning based on the instructions. My food came out so flavorful and good that I ended up getting a second bowl--even though the first one already filled me up. With the all-you-can-eat option, you can choose white rice, brown rice, or fried rice, plus soup and bottomless drinks, which was really nice. I tried one of the soups and added rice to it, and it was surprisingly tasty. The fried rice wasn't quite traditional--it lacked eggs and a bit of flavor--but for free rice on the side, you really can't complain. This is definitely worth it for a cheap dinner or date night. The staff were young women, and the cooks were older gentlemen--everyone was respectful and friendly. One of the girls was even recording what seemed like a relative while he was cooking, and they were laughing together. My Dad and I came a couple of hours before closing, and I do not believe I have had this kind of Mongolian experience before. The food was not really flavorful, the servers looked shocked that we even entered their own restaurant, and their dining room was overall dirty. The guy working the grill does not even clean the grill before moving on to the next customer, but hey, I just wanted noodles and chicken and I got broccoli in my dinner. The rice was LEGITIMATELY crunchy! It sounded like my Dad and I were eating chips instead of rice. The highlight of this meal was the Diet Dr. Pepper! I enjoyed this place. They were clean and friendly. Here's a tip, pack down the meat with the little parchment paper they have sitting out so you can get the most in your bowl since it's frozen and takes up space. For the sauces I did my best but it was a little hard to look between their suggestions and the table (especially with a line behind), so it may be nice to have little cards at the beginning with suggestions that you can take or something right on the sauce table. Once you got your bowl there was also rice at the end you can get and other toppings. This was perfect for my kids to add to theirs. There was also soup at the end station. So much food...I was very full. However at the end of your meal you can go get soft serve ice cream that's whatever flavor they have for the month. We went in November so it was pumpkin pie. Came here a week ago with my family. The place is nice and clean. Came up and paid with no problems. As I was going the line to make my bowl the selection is okay. I would recommend maybe a bit more variety and maybe a few more seafood options. Veggie selection was good and the sauces had a good selection. Only thing I would recommend is more meat options and seafood and maybe have guest drop off the bowl to be made and have the servers bring you the bowl to the table so you can sit down relax and enjoy your family. I cannot believe this place has good reviews overall! Maybe we went on an off night? It was $20/person for a small bowl which included a drink. They have the freestyle soda machines which was the only positive. We got our bowls & headed to fill them. We were not given any direction, just have our bowls but I've been to a few Mongolian places before so off we went. I was shocked to see all the meat was paper thin & rolled up. I have never seen meat presented this way at a Mongolian place & this should have been my first red flag (I also should have taken a picture but didn't). There also was nothing to be able to taste the different sauces before choosing one which I found abnormal from all the other Mongolian places we have eaten at. Gave it to the chef & asked if I come back to pick it up or off they bring it to me, but unfortunately he did not speak English so he didn't understand my question. For the price you get a TON of food. We each got large meals- you fill your bowl till you can't fit anything else in- load up with beef/fish/chicken/pork, veggies, noodles, then fill a separate bowl with sauce (look up towards where they cook to see combo recommendations- I missed this!) and then hand off for it to be cooked. Once your bowl is ready, top off with rice, wontons, chili sauce, peanuts, etc. Drinks are included and soft serve too (flavor right now is pumpkin!). The restaurant is very clean, had a tv for games. 4 stars overall- would love a small bowl for sauce to pour over after it's cooked as I watched the sauce slide off the hot top pretty quickly. We have been coming to this place since it was YC's. It's still pretty good after the name change. I love the veggie choices and the sauce selections. The place gets busy after lunch. Service is always good. I like that they have kids prices, my son loves it here. Their booths are comfortable and it's family friendly. Only thing that I would like is two flavors of their soft serve, sometimes the seasonal flavors are not that great but it's nothing that would stop me from coming. I believe this was my first time at Mongolian barbecue, and it was definitely a fun and unique experience. After going to the Odysea aquarium, we were hungry and decided to try this place. I'm glad that my partner had done this before because he taught me the rules about pushing down your food in the bowl so you can fill it up as much as you can before they cook it, by using the gloves and the parchment paper provided LOL. I really went all out here and got a mix of tofu, chicken, pork and beef. I love that they also had a variety of noodles, including a gluten-free option, chow mein and lo mein. They had so many different options for veggies and when it came to the sauces, I felt overwhelmed by how many options they had. But they actually had a menu full of recipes and how many scoops of each sauce you should do to get a certain flavor, so I did the sweet and sour one which was really good. They also had a few different soup options and an ice cream machine with free ice cream included. I also got the cream cheese ragoons (for an extra cost), which were served with some kind of sweet chili sauce and they weren't bad but I wasn't the biggest fan. Definitely got super full here and I had to get a to go box which was $.50 which is totally fine, it was nice to have leftovers for the next day. .50 cents for a To-go container? I get inflation and the cost of a business but c'mon man. Why but oh why must we charge .50 for a transport method to take my food with me to enjoy later. You pile on as much meat and veggies as you can before taking it to the cooks. If you could imagine Mt. Whitney as an Asian style bowl- that's how much you can pile on. Take their advice and mix the sauces. It definitely does add flavor. After walking through the buffet style line the cooks promptly cooked the meal. My wife and I sat down to eat. The food was definitely tasty and filling...... then I went to ask for a to - go container and my positive thoughts started to vanish in the blink of an eye. I was told it was .50 cents. I reluctantly Apple Pay-ed with a credit card - fees and all- for one to go container - and a half dollar poorer. My point is this. I get inflation, but if the owner is worried about the cost of his paper pail, maybe he should just tack on .25 to the meal cost thereby splitting the difference as everyone won't take to go due to how much food they received. Or if the full .50 cents must stay , still just add it to the overall cost without telling everyone that you charge .50 cents for a ..... to-go container. read more
