6 Wings were just fine.
Craig W.

This is a very cool down-to-earth bar. Call it a "dive" bar, if you must, but it is really a neighborhood bar. It is casual and comfortable. I tried the wings and, while I have not had all the wings in Los Angeles, these cannot be the best. I ordered them extra crispy and they came crispy and with plenty of sauce. They were good wings but not amazing. At our server's suggestion, I ordered them "suicide" style, which is not on the menu, and which is apparently hotter than the "hot" style. They were not unbearably hot but my lips did tickle for about an hour after eating them. You can get them with either ranch or blue cheese or both. I got both but preferred the blue cheese. We also tried the zucchini sticks and you get a huge basket of them. They were delicious and sounded kind of healthy. I am sure they were not healthy, especially after we dipped them in ranch and marinara sauce, but I am also sure they are healthier than smoking cigarettes so there is that. There are lots of televisions and the Dodgers' fans definitely congregate here. If you want a seat to watch a game, come early or be shut out. Our server was great and we could see all the servers working very hard. There is plenty of free parking in the lot but make sure you get a (free) pass from your server to place on your dash so you can park longer than one hour. Good beer and drink options and lots of specials. This is a very cool neighborhood bar.

Wings with deep fried pickle

The service here is absolutely incredible and easy on the eyes. Shoutout to the bartender Zach for making the best cocktails! Amazing sour whiskey. Food delicious. Wings are out of control with a healthy serving of carrots and celery. My favorite dipping sauce is the blue cheese ranch. If you like pickles, the deep fried pickles are great. There's plenty of parking. Inside is dimly lit and they have different shows playing in screens in the background. I heard once in a while celebrities drop by. The vibe is nice and fun to bring friends.

Old school since 1971

Old school since 1971. The Rams vs Bears football game had started and we were hoping to hang out here to watch it on their television while sipping on a cold draft beer. Those wishes were crushed when we walked in to find the place so crowded we couldn't even stand in an open area to watch the game.

Yes, this restaurant has the best wings in LA. They are crispy, flavorful buffalo wings with great blue cheese dip. A great spot not too far from DTLA to get chicken and beer with your friends. But, my overall experience from coming multiple times, the service is terrible. Customers could not stand to order drinks at the bar and take them to their table even when things seemed slow and the servers were no where to be seen. The food would take 30-45 minutes to an hour to come out. As it's a dive bar, it can take a little longer for a server to show up. However, if you don't flag them, it will take them forever to check in or serve us.

Birthday bar crawl starts. Location #1

Ye Rustic Inn is a classic L.A. dive bar gem. Great wings, cold beers, and a chill, no-frills vibe that's perfect for catching a game or hanging with friends. They have a patio in the open air in the front along the parking lot area. Dark, woodsy charm and strong drinks give it old-school character. A true Echo Park staple. Long live the jukebox. This was the starting and finishing point on our birthday bar crawl. I'm giving two stars because our group got kicked out at the end. The manager was really rude to one of our partygoers, alleging things that I simply did not see. I would have otherwise been 4-5 stars because this spot is a gem.

Outside

Decided this was going to be my group's stomping grounds while we were taking classes together. Not normally a dive bar kind of person but here goes: For the location, I'd say the fish and chips and Reuben are pretty solid choices. That along with $29 pitchers are a pretty good deal for a good time with large parties. You will need to open a tab via the QR code. While you can sit inside for the dive bar experience, outside is defenitely better for bigger groups. Though they will start shuffling people inside after 10pm. It's within walking distance for us. Parking in the plaza isn't too bad but if you do drive. You might need to find street parking.

Overcharging
Kimberly R.

I have been coming to this bar for 20+ years and every time I come here they overcharged me. They are actually known for it amongst all my friends and community. Make sure you check your bill! Even though I pointed it out to the waitress they still overcharged me for the higher amount. She added an order of wings that we never ordered to our check. It's the extra $20 +5 dollar tip that really adds up and I think is only reason they've managed to stay in business this long! I tried the Modelo and the Stella and both were flat so whoever is tapping the kegs is not tapping them properly. The only good thing was the nachos.

French Fries (thin)

I've been to this place a few times and it's quickly become my favorite neighborhood bar since I've moved to Los Feliz. The location is great. Right on Hillhurst Ave-- with parking! When you get inside, you find a table and order. Menus are online. It's a no frills dive bar that feels very homey. I always usually get wings and beer here. There are several beers on tap. Yes, the wings are really THAT good. Crisped to perfection and not too saucy. I get the medium heat and it's just the right amount of spicy for me. It comes with a couple carrot and celery pieces. If you're extra hungry, the fries are good too -- and they can make them multiple ways. Overall, a great spot to relax and hangout with some beer and wings.

Decent old fashioned. The Bartender lost their cocktail spoon and used an improvised bent spoon and only charged me the price of a whiskey. It still was a decent tasting old fashioned. The food smelled good and I like the ambiance. This is a very classic pub with decent prices. Incredibly good service and good vibes. They are also friendly towards man's best friend and I saw them give a dog water.

Esenia J.

I hate not giving a good review because I isually have a great time here and service is usually good. However, the last time I came it took over half an hour for the waiter to wait our table & my friend had gone to ask the bar and was told to just wait for the waiter. We saw other tables being served so it was kind of disappointing. I will say that it was during a rams game so maybe it was extra busy that day. But it discourages me from wanting to come during game nights if that is the case. The food and drinks are usually good. I love that you can choose the level of crispiness for the wings. They have different appetizers to choose from. No complaints on food or drinks. This place is never empty when I come and it is usually a good ambiance. We've met nice people here. Staff is usually friendly.

Lemon Drop & High life! The sampler plate was great too!

I've lived in LA for some time now and never made my way much to Silverlake and unfortunately not to 33 Taps until last night when I heard this was the go-to Knicks bar. I was NOT disappointed. Now, I was just a man looking for a sports bar to watch my team win, wasn't expecting much. So, I was pleasantly surprised when met with not only awesome fellow fans but also a kick-ass service team. That bar was so busy given the season and that was of expectation, but I watched the bartenders specifically handle it like a cake walk and even better, my drinks were FANTASTIC. From the Espresso Martini that got my not-so-young self through the night, to the Carajillo--those were elite cocktails and I had low hopes honestly. But, if they could impress me enough on an NBA Finals night to make a review, I can't imagine what a regular service day is like. GO TO 33 TAPS!!

We love walking to this neighbourhood spot to get fantastic happy hour drinks (the best HH wine I've found) and then we stay & maybe play a round of Drag Bingo, or trivia, or an occasional karaoke night. Maybe even watch a game. * Shout out to the incredible and wonderful Dan, Kyle, Lainey, Bridget, Dom, Angel, Eli, Bertin, Victor, Kent, et al. You guys rule and we appreciate you so much. We USED to get the bahn mi fries religiously or sometimes the delicious cauliflower wings. But alas..... they decided to ONLY offer these dishes in beef tallow. As vegans we now can't get our fave snacks with our fave drinks. ** & RIP to the vegan nachos, vegan chicken, and Brussels sprouts. At the very least they could offer an option between tallow and oil like another fave spot we frequent, Edendale. Just a thought! Yes they still have a vegan burger and a vegan burrito. But besides those and a salad, that's about it now. Our dog still eats very well thanks to their pup menu. So cheers to that at least. But removing so many options for plant-based eating has really bummed us out. EVERYONE can eat plant-based... so having more options then taking them away feels to me/us so weirdly biased and antiquated. Btw seed oils are not our enemy. They're much better than the visceral fat surrounding the kidneys and various body parts of grass puppies (aka: cows). Don't believe the hype (or RFK for that matter). Heart disease is the #1 killer in the USA. Facts. This ain't gonna help. We love our 33 please keep including ALL of us in your business not just some. Also FDT & ABOLISH ICE.

I went back to check the Instagram ad which just said "$6 martinis" but then you see the menu in person which says "$6 MINI martinis".... Still fun but a very different fun than regular martinis. The benefit of the mini martinis is you can basically built a flight because they are so tiny, and they have multiple flavors available. In the end, I had 3 different mini martinis which comes out to roughly $18 and roughly the size of 1 regular martini. So it's not really a savings, just a fun way to switch it up. The steak frites was decent, but certainly not the best steak I've had in LA. It's more about the fun vibes. We sat outside at the fire pit (which is communal seating) and enjoyed our steak frites, martinis, and Chesapeake Bay oysters! They do have parking behind the building which seems to fill pretty quickly if they're busy, but it's easy to find parking around the neighborhood. I am not usually in the tavern scene so I was surprised that we had to order and pay at the bar, but it wasn't a big issue. My friend and I split the kale caesar salad and the macaroni and cheese. For the table, I ordered the waffle fries after being informed by the kind waitress that that was the better choice over the pretzel (which she also said was amazing). Since the place was filling up for the final, the kitchen was a bit slow, but we barely noticed with how attentive the staff were in getting us drinks and refills. When it came to food, we were pleasantly surprised with this place and is honestly the reason I'm writing this review. The first things we got were the Beef Tallow Waffle Fries, Caesar Salad, and mac and cheese. Obviously the fries were much better, however the salad was also divine but just swimming in dressing. Back to the fries, we all were mindblown with how tavern fries could be this good and had so many flavors. Even the skinny queens in our group kept snacking on them which tells you how good these were. Mac and cheese came and it was standard and creamy but not necessarily something I'd return for. The surprising thing on top of the fries that majority of us loved was the Vegan Tomato Scampi with shrimp. It was fire and had me questioning if it was even Vegan. Would definitely return here if I find my way back to SoCal from the Bay. Great unassuming place with great food and vibes. Their bathroom as well is super clean and nice! Love this place!
