Put your phone back on the hook. I was just on hold for 15 minutes when I finally decided to hang up. Now they're phone is giving the busy signal, half an hour later, because the phone is left off the hook. This is the 3rd time they've left me on hold for an absolutely unreasonable amount of time. Come here if you want to be ignored and treated like crap for not being a local or a hipster Caucasian type. God forbid you patiently wait behind the bar to place an order or pick up - a dumpy blonde chick who works there will plow her way to the front and put hands on you for not observing the ill placed sign that reads "server only". Didn't realize it meant clear the entire tiny little walkway by the overcrowded bar so the uncouth staff member can occupy half the counter space, just to stand there and chit chat with the brain dead bartender who likes to add ice to your drink AFTER he pours it. I'd like to think it wasn't a race issue but let's be real these types of people will never admit it due to their cowardice. These are the best wings in LA. Very very consistent with how they make it too unlike the place I use to go to. I highly suggest getting it with extra sauce and crispy or extra crispy. The sauce is what makes them good. read more

The kitchen has not skipped a beat since they reopened. I can still count on the quality wings, burgers, and mozzarella sticks that I've ordered for the last 5 years. Frankly, that's the only thing that makes me want to come back anymore. Historically, this has been my favorite bar in Los Feliz because the cooks knock it out of the park and the bartenders/wait staff knew their stuff. The latter is no longer the case. The staff acts as if they don't want you there and will legitimately ignore you until you walk up to one of them as they're on their phone and ask them if someone will come to your table. If you're lucky to get a seat at the bar, you're a bit better off as far as service goes. A recent example - Hour waits on mozzarella sticks are not cool. Bar was 75% packed, I get it. Pre-covid, this would have never happened. I ordered an extra set of wings to go. Got home and opened up the container to see a large batch of seasoned fries where my wings should be. It doesn't surprise me though-every time the waitress came to my table she appeared to be barely paying attention. I'm perplexed as to why they've gone downhill so fast. If it's a new staff, I can understand the stress. That's not the vibe I'm getting from them. It's as if they all ate a 100mg edible before heading to work. I usually tip pretty fat here and it's like they don't care about my money. I've introduced dozens of friends Ye Rustic. You guys - you have the best wings in town and a die-hard local fanbase. Why are you screwing it up now? Either clean house and find experienced bartenders/waiters or you risk losing your biggest fans. I never thought I'd ever write a 1 star review for my favorite local dive bar, but it's getting harder for me to come back. I hope someone in management who cares reads this and develops an action plan. I get it, its impossible to please everyone, especially in food service. I went to the Rustic Inn to watch my favorite football team's game last Sunday as it was not on tv. I had a disappointing and frankly rude and insulting experience by the head waitress so I write this to warn others. I walked in and none of the staff greeted or directed me to a table. As I stood there not sure what to do, a customer finally took pity on me about 5 minutes later and said sit where ever you want so I thanked him and took a table. There was no sign stating seat yourself. After several wait staff walked by me and ignored me for about 10 minutes, a waitress finally came by. She took my order which ended up being $50 + tip. As there was only one screen on the other side of the place showing my team's game (and there was a nice big screen right by my table not showing any game), I asked if that screen's channel could be changed to my game. She nicely said sure and did so. So I and several others seated nearby were attentively watching my game on this big screen, cheering loudly, when a different waitress dressed as a witch (appropriately enough) walked up and without a word changed the channel to a different game. With no explanation let alone apology. It was frankly insulting and very rude. She was apparently the head witch in charge as no one on the wait staff dared to challenge her. So I sat for the rest of my team's game with my expensive order (for 1) straining to see the screen across the crowded room which included standing people obstructing my line of sight to watch my team's game. In short, I had a very disappointing and crude experience at the Rustic Inn. Obviously I will never pay another penny there. read more

Tried to enjoy some wings and a beer with my wife last night, but was distracted by the tall skinny blonde waitress, who, in between serving drinks and food, had a seat at the bar. The whole time I was eating she didnt stop putting her make-up on and vaping while simultaneously serving tables. Not to mention the amount of cursing and foul language we had to endure from her. When I asked another waitress what the deal was with this particular person her answer was "senority". My 20's were spent at this bar in a drunken stupor and I loved every minute of it. I went back today, nearly 8 years since my last visit to grab their famous hot wings and a Diet Coke...I don't drink anymore...and I'm sad to say that this place is not as good as I remembered it to be. The place needs a serious facelift...there is more tape on the booths than foe leather. The tables were dirty although there were half a dozen employees just standing or sitting around. But let's get to the wings, which is the only reason I went in...well...drum roll....they were just wings. Not bad but not great. The ranch was completely watered down and they forgot my order of zucchini fries...although doing me a favor because I didn't need them anyway. Finding good wings is a silly hobby of mine, and Ye Rustic Inn was a highly recommended contender for best wings in LA. I wasn't disappointed at all as this place serves some great classic buffalo wings in a dark divey setting with fantastic service. They have a range of heat levels, and I found all of them to be satisfying on some level. Their buffalo sauce is a cozy classic rendition of the taste associated with stuffing your face, dunking chicken in blue cheese, and drinking a cheap beer. Frankly it was exactly what I was looking for that day. I didn't give it 5 Stars because the setting, my company, and the service stood out more than the wings. Don't misunderstand, I enjoyed all of those things AND the wings, but the wings didn't leave an extremely lasting impression on me like some other great bars and restaurants have. That being said, come here! It's great! I literally did nothing else but order wings... so I can't really speak on any other food items or beverages... but... the waitress was nice... she had tattoos. Came in here for a drink around noon on a Sunday. I was alone. I was sober. I wanted to stop off somewhere and catch some good vibes before I started my day. Unfortunately, I came to this place. The bartender is a 30 something year old brown haired lady who was talking to 3 dudes at the corner of the bar. I came with a smile on my face overly friendly, but I must have interrupted her drug deal or whatever she had going on bc she was NOT happy to see a customer. I tried to order a drink, she abruptly told me I was already drunk and refused to serve me. I asked her why she was being so mean, she then told me I needed to leave. I work in the film industry I just came off a 16 hour day, I slept 8 hours, woke up feeling great with a lot of extra money in my pocket and wanted to go somewhere new and have a good time. She stopped that. Dead in it's tracks. So she could continue her conversation with her friends. What a horrible way to run a business. They weren't even drinking or spending money. Just hanging out. I just moved to the area and if this bar would have been good this would have been my new local spot for me and my friends in our Union.. but now I am literally going to tell every single person I ever come across in my entire life to avoid this place like the plague. This is the best bar in Los Feliz with the WORST customer service, which is most likely due to management (that apparently is too afraid to claim this business on Yelp lol). I've lived in the area for 10 years I can still come here but WOW this staff hates being here. Also NEVER order the chili. Came here w/ a group of friends before a concert at the Greek last night. It advertises as a dive bar, w/o the dive bar prices. No happy hr to speak of. If i'm coming to a hovel like this, I wanna get hammered on the cheap. Service dismal. Welcome to the 2021 service industry labor shortage! 3 gin and tonics and a burger w/ fries came out to $48. I've been going to Rustic for a long time, and I generally love it. Your bar staff are wonderful, food is always solid, and the vibe is exactly what it should be. With that being said, I am giving you a 3 star review for one reason and one reason only: You don't play the Dodgers, yet you advertise like you do. It's cheap and beneath you and you shouldn't mislead your guests. Take down the Dodger signage. Not only does it suck to go out of my way to enjoy your bar only to find out you can't play the game, but your hardworking bar staff suffers as well. I used to LOVE this place, pre-pandemic. But something changed after covid. The service took a SERIOUS decline. Almost every time i go, i get the worst service from the servers. They take upwards of 15 minutes to even come and get a drink order. Im really not trying to judge these ladies, but it seems like they werent hired for their serving abilities and more for their ability to flirt with male customers. They will literally sit and talk with male customers for like 5 minutes and never even acknowledge youre sitting there. I have to beg for someone to take our order. Its such a shame because thee food is SO GOOD! Best wings ive ever had! And the dive bar environment is a dream. But the absolute shit service has basically stopped me from going there all together. Ye Rustic was a staple for me and for the most part had good service and the staff was nice. However, this has not been true of recent times. I went last week and it took FOREVER just to be acknowledged by a server and have them clear our table and take our order. The servers and bartenders give attitude when asked a question. Also, I've noticed that the female servers flirt with their male customers which in turn affects others' service (as in sitting with them, hugging them and chatting for a while). The servers are just your cookie cutter hipster wannabes that give attitude and think they're cool. I'm sad because the staff pre-pandemic was great but now I am no longer interested in supporting this place. The other reviews on the staff are right.
